Raleigh Ice Plex: what do users think?
George Rodriguez: Ice summer camp is not and instructional camp, they don't claim to offer lessons but they barely offer assistance to their campers, it's more like open public session, I don't recommend it.
Nick Booras: The skates are so dull they are unusable and dangerous. I'm actually surprised no one has fallen and sued them yet. One of the employees told me he has never seen the skates sharpened in the two years he has worked there. The facility is fine, just bring your own skates.
Steve Heck: Nice facility. Large, plenty of seating
Bob Spaziano: Nice place to skate
Hayden Hartley: Awesome place, however I don’t think they had a limit of how many people were allowed on the ice. Absolutely packed when I went. Not bad if you’re good at skating but if you’re new don’t aim for a weekend
Isabella Davis: Lovely place to fall in love with a hockey guy
Oak Miller: Friendly staff
Virginia Norman: Crowded on Weekends, Great Party Experience. If you are not experienced skater may want to attend weekday. Lines were long, Expedited wait with distributing skates.
Tim Wright: Olympic surface, so lots of room to skate. Stick and puck is well-controlled. Not over crowded. Nice ice.
Corey Morris: Nice Olympic size rink. Locker rooms are small though, showers are pretty dank.
Heather McHale: We went for a birthday party and even though we had never skated before we had a blast! Staff was incredibly kind and attentive.
Taras Legar: I liked this place we rented skates, you need to check the schedule in advance
Nola Clifford: I skate at Polar Raleigh every weekend and every time is a great experience. The staff are helpful and kind, the rink is great for both beginners and advanced skaters alike, and there's reasonable pricing.
Leslie Barrett: Great experience. Other skaters were so kind and helpful. I loved it. One of the best experiences of my life.
Lantz Newman: Lots of fun. Great ice, staff is very friendly and helpful.
Moriah Honerkamp: Clean, good concessions and great coaches! Appreciate all that goes into running this place!
Patrick Lynch: Best sheet of ice in the Triangle. The only olympic sized sheet in the area. Highly recommended for public skating, birthday parties, track out camps, learn to play hockey, and much more. Public skating is usually not too crowded, but get there early so you can have fresh ice because they don't usually resurface during the 2 hour public skating session. They offer skating lessons, learn to play hockey, adult hockey, figure skating, and kids camp. No more pro shop, though. They do offer snacks at the same place where you pay admission. Popcorn, candy, hot chocolate, bottled drinks... you know, the usual rink stuff. There are also vending machines and a few claw-type games. Not a cheap outing, but a decent value.Went for the first time at Christmas. There's a huge lit tree at center ice, and the rink lights are dimmed. Very cool and festive! Still the best sheet of ice in at least 3 states!
Ariel Tarrand: This is a great rink. Lots of hockey players and figure skaters practice here, but it also has room for beginners like me. The best part is you can get a solid 3 hours of skating plus skate rental for $10 on the weekdays. Not too crowded, and better ice than Cary.My one complaint is that the website is hard to navigate, and it takes a lot of clicking to get to the actual schedule, which can be confusing to read. I wish they had more time slots for general adult skating.
Buddy Bartley: Good time and family friendly fun, you can also become an NHL'er
elena tselishcheva: The favorite skating rink for my daughter! Public skating is much less crowded and more spacious than Cary.
Michael Jones: Hours on website are not accurate. Call before you show up.

Polar Ice House Wake Forest: what do users think?
Julie Fredrickson: I brought my Columbian grandson here & ask the snack bar lady if someone could get us a baggie of snow. I forgot her name but she called another lady & they got him a bag of snow off the ice. It is still in the freezer as he takes it out, plays with it & refreezes it. They didn't have to do any of that but what a wonderful gift of their time & kindness! I appreciate you guys!
Makar oof: It was good but the skates are either too big or too small and mostly are not sharp but there isn't alot of people there so its prity free time for you and your friends
joshua carroll: My overall experience was amazing. It was just that there was a girl that was in charge of the shoes and trainers that had a very bad attitude.
Caroline Mueller: This place brings me back to my teen years! Love watching the skaters!
Antonio Branham: Stay away from this place. I paid to skate and for skate rental. When I went to go get my skates they didn’t have my size. I asked for a refund and they told me they don’t give refunds. I paid $15 not to skate. This place is dirty, staff is rude, and the rink is overcrowded. I saw one girl get knocked over and hurt. People were bumping into each other. It is not a safe operation. This place does not care about the satisfaction or safety of their customers. I will never go back again.
Christina Emrich: Greta programs for all skill levels. Friendly and helpful staff.
David Ross: fun time
Rick Bardos: Spectacular figure skating lessons for kids. The instructors take their time to help kids progress. Classes can be a bit crampt in the beginning, but thin out as levels increase. Students are also eligible to participate in seasonal performances and recieve free public skate.
Alanna Gonzalez: Amazing for week-day free skating, went on a date here, super chill, good staff, everyone was so sweet! 💕
Moriah Honerkamp: Great hockey and ice skating coaching...concessions are good, too!
AkaDripLord Mio: They took forever with the food, the staff was rude, the ice wasn’t even clean enough. I just didn’t like it in general like the place was dirty too it need to be shut down because they do not know how to maintain the building.
Paul Webb: Yok
Kim Brymer: Great game
But *LOFI*: A nice young gentleman who goes by the name of “Matthew” is such a delight! He is determined, courageous, out-going, zesty, handsome, strong-willed, positive, and overall a hoot to be around! I will be coming back many more times bc of this fine young chap’s hard work! Thanks again!
David DeNicolais: My two girls love this place. They both take figure skating lessons there and also do the free skate with their friends. It seems like figure skating is a big part of our lives lately and it’s all because of Polar Ice Wake Forest. Give them a shot! You will be glad you did!
Judah: This place is awesome, and so much fun 10/10
Timara Taggart: Here for a party . The party I’m with is white and they acted like they didn’t know I was with them even though I walked in with them and the host walked up with her email . I don’t know the girls name but she had me pay for the red thing you take when you skate which is no big deal but then tried to make me pay for skates after the host told her I’m with them . She didn’t charge or question any of the white parents and had a really bad attitude for whatever reason but long story short that is most definitely racial profiling because I’m black she treated me that way and everyone I was with agreed . That was disgusting and sad honestly to treat someone that way because of the color of their skin . I would not ever recommend or spend any money at this place . First and last time hereAnd to add the people at the front are clueless and should be retrained .
Ghenet L: Went for 2 hour public skate on a Friday. Nice spot. Bigger than I expected. Not much of a flow in the rink. Younger crowd. Ice wasn't clean when we started and it wasn't cleaned during the session. I've never skated without music, was a little odd. Good number of people on the ice, everyone seemed friendly. I plan to return, with headphones.
Quinn Kotorman: Great place with skates raning anywhere from beginner to pro.
Brian Massie: Place is kept well enough but the number of people without masks and close quarters was a turn off.
Toro Oyedeji: I called this organization and asked if I could bring my boys for ice skating, the lady that answered to phone told me come and I could get agent assistant, even with time frame. On getting there at the time I was told to come, then the informed me that they are closed for public skating. I drove over 30min to this location. I will never recommend them to anyone.

Polar Ice House: what do users think?
Frank Auriemma: The arena might be somewhat dated but it's still a great facility. It is a good place for your kids to learn the game and the coaches are great; especially Mason who has coached our son for three classss now.
elena tselishcheva: The place is ok, but the parking is not sufficient. Once I had to drive through the stopper because someone blocked the way. The quality of the ice is not the best, my DD complained about it being soft and the temperature inside also was higher than needed.
Shinya A: If all you need is some ice to skate or play hockey on, then this place will do. If you are looking for more of a modernized or upgraded facility, then you will be disappointed. This building is old and has been around for a long time, so my expectations on how it looked were low. It has a tough feeling to it, which I like. It's not necessarily dirty, it's just an old building that serves its purpose which is to have a sheet of ice. The locker rooms however I think could be a little cleaner although they weren't too bad. Most of the building area has dim lighting with the exception of the lighting over the rink. Overall, it's a good place.
None None: It is a filthy rink. Playing in a tournament and they spend no time preparing for visitors. There is garbage in and around the rink. Toilets have fecal smears on it, no toilet paper! Worst rink I have ever being to!Completely unsanitary not to mention that it needs a major upkeep and painting.
Tim Sanders: Very good for the kids
David Calverley: This place features the world famous Fireball hockey team! Some times the ice is completely frozen other times your passing through puddles!
JR Smith: 1 floor, desk & concessions up front. The coldest rink I've been in and I've been to numerous rinks, bring gloves and a hat.
James Harnischfeger: Needs updating
Buddy Bartley: Great staff , service and alot of fun
David Hammermann: Not as crowded as the Cary location
James Valentine Francis: everything says they are open, but we showed up and there wasnt a single car and the doors were locked. nobody answers the phone
Wendy Brook: The place was clean. Skate rental there and snack bar. We went to watch grandsons hockey practice. Excellent Coaches!
Laila McKay: A skating rink that only does public skating during holidays 🤨?
Joshua Rogers: This is basically a review of a very confusing website. They only do public skating during the holidays, but the website doesn’t say that it’s limited to that time period, so you show up with the family and they refer you to another place. Yay.
Derek W: Old, outdated, snack bat needs some life put in it
Darryl Cady: Nice
Kellie: Can’t really leave a review of the place itself but the web communication isn’t trustworthy. We showed up for open public skate —as advertised on the website—and the facility was closed. Ghost town. No update on the web page, Facebook etc. No sign... so I guess you can try your luck. It may help to call ahead but if you don’t get anybody on the phone you can’t leave a voicemail. So....who knows. Hope everybody is OK. Good luck?
Eric Arner: The ice here isn't the best and no seating in the rink, but you get a good view of the rink from the concessions area.
Tosh Bapat: Nowhere to sit
Matt Hockey: Cold. Cold as a well diggers....foot. Ice needs work. There is a trench near the zam door.
xxbdud1125xx: Great Ice rink but in the summer it’s hotter inside then outside

United Skates of America, Inc.: what do users think?
Amber Tookes: Price of $13 even when you have your own skates is a little too high for my liking. 2.5 hrs skate time. My daughter had fun at the end.
Cory Harlow: Great fun and energy! We've been several times and recently had a birthday party for one of our kids and can only say positive things. The staff was amazingly helpful and ensured everything ran smoothly. The facility is kept clean and safe, with rentals being handled easily. Do yourself (and the business) a favor and bring cash to pay!
Peedee Pat Productions: Had a great time with my crew
Cynthia Moody: Easy sign up online for a skate session, staff was super friendly . Had a great rainy afternoon activity.
Timisha Blue: Love the atmosphere and music most of the time 😊
Brian King: Not many options for skating rinks around but this one is reasonable priced and has good facilities. They charge parents just to be in the building though which is not cool.
Cliff Pyles: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, and tons of fun. I've taken my kids to a few birthday parties here and they always have a great time. The only thing I wasn't thrilled with was the quality of the skates. They weren't terrible, but they could definitely use an update
Lyndsay Marie: We had a good time. Staff was super friendly. Glad to see it so busy, even on a Sunday afternoon.
brent morris: Lots of fun for the kids
Jerri: My first time there this past weekend security was awesome I think you need to pat ppl down too just in case but they were so polite the ladies at the front counter were wonderful. Ppl at snack bar courteous bathrooms clean and the Dj kept us entertained. If you can’t skate fast you may want to stay in the middle of the floor. But I will return soon
Aaron A: One of the staff taught me how to backwards skate!
Claudia Alvarado: I like when it’s not too packed. This Sunday afternoon was the perfect time to go. The food is not good though.
Everett J. Smith: It was fun
erica dixon: Music was good. Very expensive to get in. 50 dollars for two adults and two children and the adults weren't skating. Started Closing at 930. We just got there at 745. It wasn't worth the money to me.
Veronica alaniz: I had my daughters 10th birthday party at this location on a Sat and everything was great except the music. I like Rap and Hip Hop just as much as anyone else, but this was on another level of inappropriate to play in front of children and at children's parties. One of the songs that stood out to me was Teyana Taylor- How you want it.... talking about different positions... it was jaw dropping. They need to fix this.
Rebecca Howard: The staff here is in need of an overhaul. They are rude, impatient, and don’t want to interact with people… which is a problem in a customer service atmosphere. The guys at the front checking bags were the exception! They were smiling like I and my children were welcome… not like we ruined their day by showing up. I went to the cafe as well, same experience. This is the second birthday party we’ve been her (the first was my sons) and it’s not any better. We won’t be back. I will happily drive to Durham for the better experience.
Taliesha “TalieshaToday” Holmes: Great community of skaters whether you are beginner or not it’s fun. I would love to see a modern renovation of the space. Should include a bar and better furniture. Ascetic is old and should go for a sleek look . Other than that it’s a vibe. Great dj
Lauren Pritchett: Awesome 8th birthday party! The party host took care of everything. All I had to do was bring the sweet treat. My daughter had a blast skating with her friends. Our party was on a Saturday morning which was perfect for kiddos. Fun music and respectful patrons.
Kim Young: My daughter’s 7th birthday party was a success. Everything went smoothly! Shout out to Skylar who did a great job! Before I could ask for anything she was on top of it! I recommend her for all parties! She had a great attitude and a sweet personality!
D'Asia Moore: Great place to skate
Danielle Godley: Event space opened up on time. Security was firm but inviting. They checked bags at the door, received all party items in a timely fashion and hosts set up party in a pleasing manner. Host Sky, was warm and inviting. She checked in multpile times to make sure were had everything we needed. And she made sure our party ran smoothly. DJ Chrissy was fun, nice, and friendly. She made sure the birthday girl enjoyed herself, and the game she played with the party goers was fun. The staff was friendly, establishment was clean, party was well organized and the kids all had a good time. 9/10 would recommend.

Wake Competition Center: what do users think?
David Kramer: Great hockey facility !! Viberant youth club supporters !!
elena tselishcheva: Great space for practice !
David DeNicolais: Great place as skating complexes go. Good food. Nice seats… they have heat in the rink seating.
Kyron Jones: Awesome thank
Blackcrypto: Awesome experience food and games were exciting 😃😁
Danijela Valenzuela: We come here for soccer and enjoy the beautiful turf fields but the bathroom situation as absolutely terrible. For are only two bathrooms per field. That is two single bathrooms. Considering that there are 11-16 players on each team plus all the parents and spectators 1-3 per person two toilets is pretty inadequate!
Wayne Wilkins: Great rinks and great bar.
Beth Morris: Nice facility. Good seating to watch games. Cafe for snacks.
Randi DeLong: I love these turf fields for soccer.
Caroline Edmondson: the tots…
Brian Wasikowski (BMW Builds): We spend a lot of time here for Hockey so I can only comment on that part of the complex. That is currently the premier ice rink in the area. Two rinks are available with the Red rink having better seating options but both are far better than any other rink. The locker rooms are large and clean. Staff is helpful and the overall logistics are well run. There is a Five Hole / Pure Hocky shop on site. Also the WCC Cafe by Tribeca Tavern is there. One warning that for early mornings, the restaurant is not open so come prepared with you own coffee. However, when it is open its a great option for a meal, snack or a beer. Slightly pricy, but you are getting the convenience and I expect the rent is not cheap in this facility. You you or your kids are playing hockey, this is a good expereince.
David Evans: Leave time to park, but once inside it was great! Cafe at the ice rinks has good food and beer!
Brian Aucoin: Great facility. Glad it has opened up somewhat during the pandemic. Great ice skating.
C Duncan: Great soccer fields and the rinks are great for watching kid's games.
Frank Auriemma: Definitely the nicest rink in the area. Has amenities that most of the older rinks around the Triangle lack. The only thing it is missing is an "old school" roller hockey rink!
David Kadlec: Public ice-skating for decent price and not too busy! Friendly and great service! New and clean facility.
Shane Stille: Great venue!.clean.watched a few hockey games and soccer games there. Go NCFC!BY THE WAY.. THE cafe tater tots are to die for!! They are super crispy outside and soft inside.. best ever. Please dont miss 😄
Maple Roads: State of the Art! Bring your game on!
Diabel Diom: Nice soccer fields
Corey Morris: Beautiful facility, large locker rooms, great place to play hockey.
Brian Sculley: Clean facility.
