GID Renovation: what do users think?
Dwight Hall: Oksana and the team with GID were very professional, knowledgeable, and patient with me during the process of selecting materials for my home renovations. They did a great job. I was very satisfied. I highly recommend them.Services:Kitchen countertop installation,Custom kitchen cabinet construction,Install flooring,Plumbing fixture installation
Kay Ruark: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueGID designed and produced a complete bathroom renovation including new vanity, countertop, linen tower, shower, toilet, tile floor, tile walls, mirrors, lights, exhaust fans, paint, etc. The end result is absolutely gorgeous!Services:Tile work installation,Install flooring,Floor tile installation,Fan installation,Tile work replacement,Remodeling,Ceramic tile flooring installation,Drywall installation,Plumbing fixture installation
Laura Wolski: We are delighted with our beautiful, new kitchen done by GID Renovation! When we met with Oksana to discuss the project, she listened to us and drew up a plan to match our vision. She helped us pick out the perfect cabinets and counter tops to match our desires and price range. Their subcontractors were polite and skilled. Daniil was always quick to address our concerns. They even finished ahead of schedule! I highly recommend GID Renovation!Services:Kitchen countertop installation,Kitchen countertop replacement,Remodeling,Kitchen design,Kitchen cabinet design,Kitchen cabinet installation
Sheila Chenoweth: Very professional. Excellent work.
Thomas Kallergis: Wonderful experience all around during my kitchen remodel and new flooring installation! The entire process was seamless from start to finish. Oksana was very helpful and thorough during the design and product selection process. Daniil was responsive throughout the duration of the project and kept me updated on the progress. Most importantly the end result met my expectations and it was all done within budget and by the completion date outlined in the contract. Would definitely recommend GID!
Benjamin Payne: Positive:Professionalism,ValueGID Renovation installed our kitchen backsplash several months ago. The were able to efficiently remove the old backsplash and quickly install the replacement. They gave me great advice as far as what to purchase and were always responsive via text or phone call. Would definitely recommend for renovation projects.
Glenn Poston: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCouldn't be happier with my experience working with GID. Daniel is fantastic, responsive, and client focused! He installed new cabinets, counter-tops, and a custom bi-fold cabinet and counter-top in our laundry room. He expects perfection in all that does!Services:Kitchen countertop installation,Tile work installation,Install flooring,Kitchen cabinet installation
J S: Extreme caution recommended before considering doing business with these people. If something goes wrong, you might be out many thousands of dollars. They do not stand by their work or choice of products. They choose cheap poorly-made cabinets with a likely exponential mark up to unsuspecting customers. Please note I have removed the two owners' names because they have threatenedme via email for holding them accountable publicly. Please note: that they found a way to remove my third photo which shows chipping along the entire edge of a cabinet door. Also, the counter tops/backsplash are by a different company. It is reasonable to expect cabinets to last for longer than three months before they start to decay. Three months later and after light use, these cabinets are chipping everywhere -- in about 10 different places. The owners charged me $10,122 for them. Even if these only cost them only $400, this kind of rapid decay would be unacceptable. In comparison, my cheap $100 vanity from Lowes has no issues. I should have been concerned about the quality when the owner would not itemize the invoice.I informed them of the fast deterioration. They sent two guys over with white fill sticks to “resolve” the issue. These cabinets will continue to rapidly deteriorate and white fill sticks are not a solution. So far, they have asked to visit three times and I have accommodated them. During the last visit, both [the owner] and the manufacturer rep visited my home to inspect the cabinets. Both he and [the owner] l acknowledged the very clear issues and said they would resolve the problem.I waited patiently and when I didn’t hear back, I followed up with [the owner]. He decided to now proclaim that this might be “normal wear” or maybe I used them the wrong way. They have to further “investigate” he said.Translation = stall and hope that I will forget the $10,122.Since then I have heard nothing from them except from their social media person responding to this post with condescending instructions to be patient -- after I have waited for 6 weeks and have endured repeated visits, gaslighting and deflection from the two owners.I intend to hold them accountable. The only way to resolve this issue is with a full refund of the $10,122 so that I can install much higher quality cabinets.---Update 8/9/22The owners told me these are from Kitchen Cabinet Distributors.Rather, the cabinets GID sold me were from a company called Blue Valley Cabinets. I have been informed that they are known for cheap, low-end products
Haleigh McCollum: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessWe recently used GID Renovation for our kitchen overhaul. We are very happy with the results and the overall process, would recommend Daniil and Oksana to anyone.Service:Remodeling
Vasile Plamadeala: Positive:Professionalism,QualityIf for some reason anyone have any concerns or not sure of professionalism of this company, I do interior remodeling in Michigan i have ordered two kitchens and over seven thousand square feet of flooring from these people and there are absolute Champions in what they do! Thank you and Happy Holidays!!!Services:Remodeling,Repair flooring
Dennis Berry: Past due kitchen and dining remodel updates. Mid 70's Construction with face-lift performed 12 years ago. Danil & Osana (owners) were very professional and offered suggestions along with their decorator to take a much outdated kitchen and dining area and transform into a new beautiful and more functional space. Their team of craftsmen were very knowledgeable and always polite and on time. Danil follows up and ensures that his teams are performing above expectations. My wife and I were delighted with our experience. Estimated time for completed job was 4-5 weeks. All work completed in 4 weeks.Highly recommend their company and staff.Dennis B.Services:Tile work replacement,Paint indoors,Remodeling,Drywall repair
Suzanne Krill: GID did a fantastic job on both a bathroom and the kitchen, both of which needed serious updating. Daniil and Oksana are both very responsive to design concerns as well as glitches in the work process that need attention. Their ultimate goal is to make sure clients are happy with the work. The GID crew of guys are fabulous. Each is knowledgeable in their field of expertise. They're such a pleasure to work with - considerate, polite, hard working and they clean up at the end of the day!I highly recommend GID services.Service:Remodeling
Daniela Libon: Critical:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Matthew Nisbet: Critical:ProfessionalismHad them come out to do an estimate. Their rep was talking up a good game and giving rough cost estimates. Real estimate comes back at 10x what he was talking about.
Mark Reinhard: Never followed up with estimate as advertised. I made special trip to show room.
Mike Kidwell: We obtained quotes from several companies for the remodeling of our master bathroom. Oksana quickly understood the design vision and color schemes that my wife had in mind and proposed a design that captured that vision. All of their workers were on time, polite, informative and did great work. Dani and Oksana have assembled a very impressive team of workers who take great pride in their work. Dani keeps the project phases flowing smoothly and makes sure that the work is done well. Any issues that arose were minor and quickly dealt with. A great group of people who focus on delivering a great finished product.Service:Remodeling
Diane Wingo: Amazing transformation of a 1960"s kitchen and family room into my ideal kitchen, just in time for the holidays. They followed the projected schedule with the exception of one delay which was caused by product damage by another company, and Danil personally worked in our home to make up for the delay. Oksana was very responsive to all requested for design information and requests.Services:Tile work installation,Paint indoors,Remodeling,Repair flooring
grady may: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueIncredible insight as to what the customer wants and brilliant ability to complete the project ahead of time and under budget. A engaged listener and very patient with our changes during the project. Personally ensured things were done right. I would use them again in a heartbeat.Services:Tile work installation,Install flooring,Repair water fixtures
Kim Bagaasen: We were completely happy with our experience with GID Renovation. Daniil and Oksana were both amazing to work with as well as all their employees that we interacted with. I was terrified of a full kitchen renovation after hearing horror stories from friends about their experience with other contractors. Oksana was amazing on the front end as we designed what we wanted and she could immediately show us changes as we discussed them. They gave us a start date and that was exactly when we started the project and their completion date was right on as well. At the completion of the project Daniil stayed on top of the few punch list items until they were completed. I would highly recommend GID for any renovation project.
Denise Lazarczyk: We love our new kitchen (white cabinets, new island install, river white granite, suede gray subway tile blacksplash) and Legend Pine luxury vinyl plank flooring on main floor. I always knew what time the crew was coming and they were very friendly, worked hard, and did an excellent job cleaning up each day. A few problems came up and Daniil was always extremely prompt in calling us to discuss and work on solutions, even on a Saturday. Oksana was great guiding us in the design aspect. Top quality work and trustworthy business and would definitely use them again!
Chandler Brown: Poorest customer service I have ever received. Came to measure for cabinets, ordered them, once they came in and we installed them is was clear their measurements were incorrect leaving us with 3 inch gaps in multiple places. They then ignored me and were so unresponsive I reached out to the wholesaler to find another representative who sold their same brand of cabinets to then purchase $1,000 worth of cabinets to fix the gaps. Never received any apology, reimbursement, or compensation for the additional cabinets I purchased or those that were wasted. This was a horrible experience. Renovating a home is stressful enough. Take my advice and avoid handing over thousands of dollars to receive this poor of service in return.

Hampton Kitchens: what do users think?
Stephen LaFon: Positive:ResponsivenessI spoke with Max at Hampton Kitchens this afternoon and even though he was not able to help with my project he spent time with me explaining what I needed to do to move my project along. Max gave me names of people who could help me and he explained the process I should use. I was very grateful for his help. I would recommend him.
Rory Mackin: They took time to give some design ideas and places to get other options. Seemed to be interested in my best interest. Friendly, helpful and hopefully honest. Didn't ever feel like I was being sold anything.
Krystal Greenhaw: We had some major kitchen upgrades planned and started to work with a few companies. Max was absolutely fabulous with communication and just walking us through the steps. Professionalism and the communication was great. Unfortunately we had something else in our home that caught our attention and needed the priority and we had to stop moving forward on our plans for upgrades and instead focus on some repairs completely unrelated to our kitchen. If we ever need work in their area of expertise again they'll be the first of my list to call. Especially during a time where this work is so busy it's great to find a company that's so invested in their work, customers and has a great communication!
Anthony McQueen: Fantastic business in every way. Five stars on design. But more importantly, five stars on service, professionalism, attentiveness, process, and experience.
David Funderburk: Great people to work with. Top notch design team. The install crew are the best ive seen in a long time.
Emily Gorman: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessI was looking for just doors for shelves that I have in my laundry room. Max was extremely helpful in directing me to a source and following up with me to make sure that I had what I needed for my project.
Tommy Hooks: I have worked with the team at Hampton Kitchens for several months in a variety of capacities. I have always found them eager to help and find a great balance between listening to my ideas as well as offering guidance based on their many years of expertise. Their attention to detail, integrity, spirit, and professionalism are readily apparent in every meeting and correspondence. Each of their team members brings unique talents and provides for a very well-rounded experience. I am always quick to recommend them to anyone seeking remodeling services.
Anna O'Connell: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessMax and crew at Hampton Kitchens are wonderful to work with. Max advised us on a cabinet/counter solution for a laundry room remodel. Our job was very small probably not like most big jobs they take on, yet Max still advised, connected us to a local installer, and ordered the cabinet for us. I would recommend them to anyone!
Christine Zahuranec: Hampton Kitchens is one of those companies where you wish you could get EVERYTHING for you home because their customer service is second to none. They offer great products and will guide the customer every step of the way. They are also a local small business - which means their attention to detail helps drive projects to an on time completion date. When you need to remodel your kitchen or bath make sure Hampton Kitchens is spearheading your project.
Angie R: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,ResponsivenessErin and Max, at Hampton Kitchens, were of great help in coordinating our laundry room cabinetry design and install. Our COVID-19, stay at home, project would not have been completed. so quickly, without their prompt response and knowledge. Thank you Erin and Max!
Tim Savre: Positive:Professionalism,Responsiveness
Cecelia Condrey: I just needed some advice about a kitchen project that was underway in another city. Max Isley, knowing that I would not be purchasing any cabinetry or counters or any products at all from his company, was happy to meet with me and spent a good deal of time consulting with me on my own drawings, offering his professional knowledge and experience to help me nail down my designs. He was delightful and extremely helpful. If I have another remodel project, I would love to work with Hampton Kitchens from start to finish!
Lauren Stevens: A friend of mine used Hampton kitchens so I called and Max was just the guy to talk to. Seasoned in the business, knowledgeable, yet humble. I absolutely loved his personality and you will to. The work they do isn't remodeling, it's art the kind of art that suits your preference with his expertise. Don't look any further! This is the only review I've ever done by the way, just so impressed by Mr. Max Isley!
Brenda Schafer: We needed minor work to repair a cabinet. Although the cabinet is no longer under warranty, Max not only provided the part but also installed himself, at no charge to us. While at our home, he practiced all the requirements of social distancing and took time to wipe down the cabinet before he left. We very much appreciate both his professionalism and commitment to his products.
Monique Warmus: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Lily Karas: Max and Erin are absolutely consummate professionals and a credit to their trade. I can't understate how valuable their combination of cabinetry/kitchen construction knowledge paired with trustworthiness is. I am an Interior Design and have worked on a number of projects with them and I am so impressed with their work, time and time again. Best kitchen and bath company I have ever worked with.
Cam McCamy: Great family run showroom both Max and Errin are extremely knowledgeable
Filip Jirousek: Excellent kitchen design team!

Riverbirch Remodeling of Raleigh: what do users think?
Tiffany Hoke: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessChip and Kristen are very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. We hired them to do a full master bath remodel. The process went smoothly and we are thrilled with the finished product. Several months later, one of the sinks cracked (my fault, not theirs) and they replaced it quickly. I highly recommend Riverbirch.Service:Bathroom remodeling
Jonathan Serxner: Our experience with Riverbirch Remodeling of Raleigh was excellent. Riverbirch is an all in one, design/build company. This means the customer works with them from the inception of the project through all phases of design and construction until it is complete. It is the best way to go. Riverbirch is the best way to go! Chip, Kristen, and their staff of project managers and carpenters are very thorough and detail oriented from beginning to end. Their choice of sub-contractors reflects their high standards for all of the trades. Our project was a major addition to the second floor of our home. The primary bedroom was expanded, and a new primary bathroom and walk in closet were added. This involved extensive framing and foundation reinforcements to living room, laundry room, and crawl space below in order to support the new spaces above. To be clear, this was a long and stressful process. The construction phase took nearly six months. Thanks to Chip’s honesty and openness about how remodeling works, we were prepared for this. He also prepared us for the fact that projects of this size always have little “surprises”, and there are always going to be changes to the plan. We had some of those, and they were handled expertly. In spite of all of the challenges facing the construction industry in early 2022, the Riverbirch crew and subs kept our project going forward consistently. Communications were open, we were always able to ask questions, and always had access to observe the work. It was quite a time to be living in a house that was about half construction zone. But it was worth it.We are extremely happy with the outcome! Our new, high quality living spaces have increased our enjoyment of our home and its value, as well. If you are considering major remodeling or an addition to your home, we recommend Riverbirch without hesitation.Robin and JonathanServices:General construction,Tile work installation,Install flooring,Bathroom design,Home renovations,Bathroom remodeling,Fan installation,Installation,Paint indoors,Exterior painting,Carpentry services,Interior structural repairs,Plumbing fixture installation,Roof installation,Plumbing services,Home addition construction,Flooring
scott elvington: Chip and his team created a bonus room from our 3rd floor walk up attic. We had considered turning it into a bonus room for many years, and found Chip and his team by searching online. After reviewing other contractors, we decided to use Benchmark and were extremely pleased with the finished product. Chip came out a number of times to assess the project and discuss design ideas with us. We reviewed the budget and believed it was fair and comparable with what we received from other contractors. Chip was there every time to introduce his subs to us, and we felt very comfortable with each of them. Each sub Chip used was respectful, polite, and kept their work-space clean. Our third floor, due to the lines of the roof, was very challenging with many angles, so we had to make some changes along the way. Chip was accommodating with this and worked with us to make the necessary adjustments. The timeline for the job was fair but did extend a little longer than expected. Chip was easy to access when we needed him and was at our house frequently to check up and touch base on the progression.Overall, we were very pleased with the outcome, the room is beautiful, we have had many compliments, and we would have no hesitation in recommending Chip and his team at Benchmark.Thank you Chip,SE and DEAdditional comment: January 2022Had an issue we discovered almost 2 years after the project was finished, where there was hole in a closet ceiling of the floor below. We believed it happened during the remodeling of the third floor. Despite it being after their warranty period had ended, I called and asked if they would be willing to come take a look and get it fixed for us. Without hesitation, they came out and agreed to make it right! Excellent quality service and would definitely recommend Riverbirch!SE and DEServices:General construction,Install flooring,Fan installation,Installation,Paint indoors,Drywall installation,Plumbing fixture installation,Flooring
Heather McKenney: Our experience with Kristen and Chip was a delight from the very start. We've lived in our home for nearly 10 years, and have wanted to transform our walk-out basement since we moved in. Chip met us and reviewed our space, we discussed our budget and vision for said space, and Chip and Leah went to work on a design. A few small tweaks later, we had a visual representation of what the space would look like and we were off! Kristen was with us every step of the way, and the whole team were eager to answer questions, problem solve, and to keep us informed. We'd heard horror stories of remodels, but our experience was only pleasant, and we tell anyone who will listen of our Riverbirch experience. Our basement has been finished for a couple of months, and we spend all of our waking leisure time there. What rest of the house? Who needs it! We love our space and could *not* be more thrilled. Thank you to the whole Riverbirch team for making - truly - our dream space a reality!!Services:General construction,Paint indoors,Remodeling,Drywall installation,Flooring
Wes Stichweh: We hired Riverbirch Remodeling for our kitchen renovation after meeting with three other potential contractors. Ultimately, we chose Chip and Riverbirch for three reasons:1. Their process allows you to have a very close estimate of your final costs before getting into the weeds of what all your selections will be, which is nice. Most people don't know those fine details in the beginning, so having a good estimate of cost without those details is helpful.2. They weren't the cheapest. I don't want the lowest bidder making permanent changes to my home. There are so many shortcuts remodelers can make in the form of cheap material and labor to win jobs with low customer costs. I wanted to make sure I was getting high quality workers with high quality materials. I knew I was going to get that after meeting with Chip. If you want something nice, you have to pay a little bit more to get it.3. Communication. I've heard countless renovation horror stories, most of which involve a contractor who never returns calls or rarely communicates the details of the job. Riverbirch gets 5 stars on communication. I had daily updates on where we were with the project, and when there were delays (there will be delays), I was notified immediately and given updated, realistic timelines. The nature of our communication alone gives reason enough to hire them again. It ended up being a good choice because our kitchen turned out great! They delivered with high quality, on-budget work. I would hire them again for any future renovation projects.Services:General construction,Installation,Remodeling
Mae Sheaffer: Chip, Kristen, Jon and their entire crew were extremely professional and helpful. From initial consultation to finished product, they were very open to listening to us (which is shockingly less common in this industry than you’d think!), providing design and construction advice, and helping us understand the process throughout. Our master bathroom is gorgeous and functional - definitely worth the investment. If you are looking for a bathroom remodel that isn’t just your average remodel experience - Benchmark is the way to go!Services:Tile work installation,Install flooring,Installation,Paint indoors,Waterproofing,Remodeling,Plumbing fixture installation
Rebecca Council: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueChip and team did a recent (early 2020) remodel of our 1990s kitchen as well as project managed a first floor flooring upgrade. Craftsmanship and customer service was excellent! The 3D design created upfront was very beneficial as we could visualize the end product.
Joel Perrego: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueChip and company at Benchmark does great work! It's awesome to be able to see 3d renderings of your remodel before any work is done. And the finished product is spot on! Very professional, very thorough and good communication! I would highly recommend.
Jeremy Blum: Benchmark did a large kitchen remodel for us plus a project to convert a 3 seasons room into living space. Despite many unusual items the work was done in a timely manner and the finished product looks as we intended. Chip is easy to contact and easy to work with. I would recommend Benchmark for a remodeling project.
Theresa Courage: Chip and his team are awesome! They are remodeling our kitchen and 2 1/2 baths. Chip did a 3d design for the kitchen remodel, which I didn't think we needed at first, but it allowed us to see multiple options for layouts that we hadn't thought of. He managed to add about 30% more cabinet space. Also, he showed us price and style options for cabinets and even went with us to pick out the tile and the counter. They started on time protected all the floors, and have kept the place in great shape while they're working. I'll post before after pictures soon. I'll gladly be a reference for them.

Cabinet & Closet Depot: what do users think?
Dennis Gilpin: After looking at several closet companies we found Cabinet and Closet Depot. We were very impressed with how professional and competitive they were. After meeting with them and discussing our master closet project my wife and I decided that they were the one for the job. We couldn’t be happier with the entire project. Taylan our sales lead, Baris our designer and “G” our installer are all professional, honest and proud of the work they do. We will be using them again for our master bath makeover and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a kitchen, bath, or closet remodel.Dennis & Lisa GilpinApex, NC
Roxana Magana: Muy buena atención
Andrew Dodd: Critical:ResponsivenessDon't bother. After repeated attempts to contact, including visiting the store in person they couldn't be bothered to quote me out on a reno project for three bathrooms. Everything I hate about the process of home renovation. Avoid
Maurice Isrel: 5 star positive review. First, it was "turn key." They coordinated everything from beginning to end. Zach and Baris were great, and worked together well. Zach was great about proposing a design, but then working with us to make some modifications. Baris as contractor was amazing, as we had some definite "intricacies," especially with a soffit we have.Second, the price was multiple thousands of dollars lower than the big box stores quoted us, and less than other cabinet dealers who would not contract the whole project. They honored their price even when the cost of the cabinets went up.Third, they worked with us, proposing alternatives solutions, and letting us pick. Our biggest "issue" was we had a soffit from the ceiling down to the previous custom built cabinets. Most other companies wanted to remove the soffit, as the new cabinets would not "fit." Much higher cost. Baris and Zach had a solution of adding a short matching cabinet board from the same cabinet wood, and attaching it on top of the new cabinets up to the soffit. I cannot tell you how well this worked, and you would swear the cabinets were designed that way. We ran into an issue where one cabinet was designed such that we could not open if the adjoining cabinet was open, and they were glad to reverse the hinges. Also, we found the tile we wanted at Best Tile instead of The Tile Shop (who they work with more), and they were glad to work with Best Tile on getting us our choice. So my wife and I highly, highly recommend these guys. Other than going long (see below), we could not be happier with the kitchen, and they were the most reasonably priced to boot. So if you want to stop reading here, great. But if you want to learn a little about the whole experience, read below. These are just some things to understand when you go into this thing. Not bad, but they just are. Summed up, it is "things happen," and be prepared ahead of time. Maybe everyone knows these things, but we didn't.....First, it took longer than expected. Kitchen was demolished and cabinets were in the first week. But then United Granite had their laser measuring device break, so that was an extra week. So it was about a month until sink, granite, and tile were in. But there was a lot of "smaller stuff" left - cabinet hardware, adjustments to cabinet, kickboards. Their main cabinet guy (wish I could remember his name) was SUPERB, but he had a 2 week illness, and that added another 2 weeks. The whole thing wound up being 2 months. As I said, things happen.Second, sometimes things get discovered along the way. For us, it was the plumber suggesting (rightly so) that if we are replacing everything, do we want to replace the copper tubing with PVC. It is an old house. It only makes sense, but that was $300. Painting in general is not included, and we had them paint the kitchen window to match cabinets (white) - another $100. Not much. Just be ready.Third, there is a lot to pick out, and you have to know the order of things. Since the cabinets and sink go in first, you have to have your sink bought, and you have to know the size of your stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge before the first week. Since the cabinets go in first week, and they have space for the appliances, it makes sense. The dishwasher and microwave have to be purchased early. In general, stove and fridge can come later. On the granite, we worked with United Granite because of their association with Cabinet and Closet Depot. And they were great (other than the measuring device breaking). But I strongly suggest you 1) pick your slab yourself, 2) have them make a template of which part of the slab goes where, and 3) Adjust the template to get the pieces of granite you really want. United Granite was more than glad to do this, and maybe they would have done this without us asking, but maybe not. Finally, think twice about a spice drawer. Not tall enough for some things, and you can't see the names of the spices. Google "spice drawer" and you will find a lot of people discovered the same thing.Service:Remodeling
Judie Mapoma: Baris and his team are fantastic! Cabinet & Closet Depot was recommended to us by Paul Brooks owner of Fix-R-Uppers (my personal contractor) when Skin Sense, a local day spa hot water heater burst and flooded the entire spa. We had to close for an 8 day remediation & rebuild. Baris and his crew worked tirelessly to get us back to work ASAP! He was able to source and install cabinets within 24 hour window. The countertop fabrication & install was expedited as well. Our gratitude and thank you's are not enough for his part in getting us back up and running so quickly. He never said no to any of our special requests and always did so with a huge smile on his face. Without Baris and his fabulous crew, the 8 day closure would have been much longer of a wait. Thank you for getting our team and clients back into the spa!
CARMANIA: The best in the town!Highly recommended!
joe head: My wife went in to look at having our closet built. We were never greeted or asked if we needed any help. I will take my business elsewhere.
Leslie Amos: I was disappointed in my experience and felt like they were not honest with me, and perhaps even condescending. I understand I am just starting with a small closet job, but I have many closets so perhaps many more jobs.I went in and was given a brochure, described my space and was given one impression about price--- the most expensive one is x and your space is smaller than that so you should be able to get your space done for no more than the most expensive system in the brochure-- literally someone who worked there said this to me. Only to be given a quote for more than twice the price of the most expensive set up for a space twice the size of mine and also told the prices in brochure were out of date, it seemed like a bait and switch experience. I will go elsewhere, I prefer someone to be fair, honest and upfront.I hope this helps others understand what they can actually expect with this company.
Mary Lamm: We moved to Durham at the end of October of 2020. While we loved so many things about our new home, we quickly realized that we lacked sufficient storage space for our vacuum cleaner and attachments, mops, small stepladders and also our guest area had no linen closet. We had a large recessed area open coming in from the garage where many people put in a bench with hooks for coats above. But we decided to use that area to build in a closet for storage of all the articles I mentioned. Jesse helped us design it and came out to see the space and take measurements. Today Sukru installed the closet and also installed a cabinet in the guest bathroom which was sorely lacking in storage space. Sukru did a beautiful job and was meticulous in cleaning up the area after he finished. We are very pleased with the whole process.
Kim Kamens: Baris was very easy to work with, having much patience as we changed our minds a few times! We love our new master bath vanity, tower storage cabinet and bench storage cabinet. We highly recommend Baris and him team.
King Reyes: They have great customer service and very friendly. Will make sure your all taken care off. Baris was very helpful during the process. Will definitely recommend to others. Thank you Baris!
Tovon Hamilton: Excellent service! They were able to correct mistakes from a previous contractor without breaking the bank! I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone looking to remodel kitchen, closet and more.
jeda sun: Cabinetandclosetdepot is very good company.Their customer service was exceptional.Products are of good quality and prices are affordable. I highly reccommend them for your closet needs.
Nancy Fowler: I ordered stock laundry room cabinets in white and custom painted master bathroom vanity cabinets in an indigo blue. Their prices were very competitive. Jesse was our design consultant and was very patient and helpful throughout the process. The installers were also very good and did a great job of installation. Cabinet and Closet Depot was exceptional in their follow up after the installation in taking care of some minor problems. Most places after the sale and installation do not provide this level of customer service which is where Cabinet and Closet Depot really is superior. Sucra was a very patient and pleasant employee who came out to take care of some minor issues. He always had a smile on his face and did his job cheerfully. I highly recommend this company for their high level of customer service. You will not get this at the big box stores.
Panos Messis: Baris and his team did a wonderful job from the beginning of the project to the end. Baris was always there for me any time I needed him. He has great knowledge of his craft and he is very detail oriented. Also he has competitive prices. Well Done Baris!!!!
Melissa Johnson: If you are looking for a great experience and quality work Cabinet and Closet Depot is the place. Baris and his crew were fanastic to work with. Baris was very helpful during the whole process and kitchen remodel turned out better than expected. Their number one goal is to ensure the customer is happy with their work. I would highly recommend Baris and his company.
Virginia Suarez: The Cabinet and Closet Depot exceeded all my expectations with my kitchen remodel. The team was very professional and responsive - starting with Jesse who provided a great design all the way to the owner who ensured the quality of all the final details in a timely manner. Highly recommended!
Darlene Tickle: Fantastic company, did our kitchen renovation quickly and we love it. Jesse is awesome with his communication from the initial estimate thru the completion of the job. Highly recommend them
Faisal Najeeb: I came in with my family to look at a couple of kitchen cabinets for our house and i was really impressed with there selection. I’ve dealt with Baris we ended up getting a white shaker door style kitchen cabinets.. Highly recommended
Jill Caugherty: We selected a bathroom cabinet from Cabinet & Closet Depot, and enjoyed an excellent experience from start to finish. The showroom manager, Baris Demir, has a pleasant, friendly demeanor, and helped us select the cabinet, including the color of the finish and the hardware. The delivery and installation, which included plumbing, met our budget. The owner accommodated our schedule, and the finished product looks beautiful. We highly recommend Cabinet & Closet Depot!
Michael Shelley: Replaced my kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanity with new granite countertops. Excellent product and customer service.

Distinctive Remodeling: what do users think?
sharon conley: This company remodeled out kitchen and master bath. They removed a supporting wall in the kitchen so it now opens into the family room. It meant installing a steel I-beam in the ceiling and constructing new support in the crawl space. It was extremely difficult and they did a fantastic job. They re-worked the island and created a bar to replace a bookcase. Also added new drawer and door fronts, lighting, sink etc.Our bathroom was completely gutted. Our whirlpool tub was replaced with a vanity designed by my husband. Distinctive Remodeling designed the rest.Whenever a sub-contractor was used, someone from this company was also here. Both the kitchen and the bathroom are totally updated and we are delighted with the results. Attention to detail and frequent communications were wonderful. So happy we used this company.Services:Tile work installation,Install flooring,Bathroom remodeling,Cabinet design,Paint indoors,Custom cabinet design installation,Remodeling,Kitchen design,Interior structural repairs,Drywall installation,Plumbing fixture installation,Kitchen remodeling,Flooring
Belinda Hayes: Distinctive Remodeling did an outstanding job of building a garage as an addition to our home. Starting with detailed plans to overcome restrictive lot boundaries, sloping terrain and architectural requirements, they constructed a high quality garage that exceeds our expectations and integrates beautifully with our home. Owner Eddie Casanave and Project Manager Daren Kirts maintained open and effective communication with us throughout the project, and responded promptly and courteously any time we had questions. The work crews were also highly efficient and professional throughout the project, and left us with a garage and driveway extension that enhances our daily living. We marvel at how much we enjoy the garage, and would not hesitate to engage Distinctive Remodeling for future remodeling/building projects, and to highly recommend them to others.Service:Accessory building construction
Asli Serlo: We can't say enough about Eddie and the team at Distinctive Outdoor Kitchens. What we thought would be a small, simple project turned into a much larger one with necessary deck repairs. Eddie communicated with us regularly and addressed all of our questions and concerns. We felt like we were in good hands every step of the way. Our new outdoor kitchen is amazing and we are relieved to have our deck repaired. We would highly recommend Eddie and his team for any project.Services:Deck construction,Exterior painting,Custom cabinet design installation,Outdoor kitchen remodeling
Linda Meeks: Distinctive Remodeling designed and custom built a detached shop for woodworking and creative tinkering on our property. The process was seamless from design to completion and all staff and tradespersons were professionals. Construction materials were delivered in a timely manner and our property was left neat and tidy at the end of the workday. Details of the building complement our existing home.
Rachel Manetti: Distinctive Remodeling did an outstanding job on our addition / remodel. Our house was built in the mid 1970s and had a flat roof garage. With Michelle's incredible guidance, we designed a beautiful master suite, redistributed some existing space from our old master to create a room for our son, and updated a secondary bath for our son. The final product is incredible and the process of working with Michelle, Keith, Nick and everyone at Distinctive was beyond words. For a project of this scale to go so smoothly with such off the charts problem solving is a huge deal. We strongly recommend Distinctive for any project where you want exceptional communication, top notch quality of design and execution, and just generally awesome, good, thoughtful people in and out of your house.
Stanley Herring: We can’t say enough about the wonderful job done by Distinctive Remodeling. They transformed our water damaged, dated, kitchen into something neither one of us could have imagined! Creating a new center island was alone a true “game changer”. We now have significantly more workspace and storage and the kitchen appears to be twice as large. Our damaged hardwoods were expertly replaced and finished with excellent craftsmanship. The results are stunning! Eddie Cassanave and his crew were all “top notch” professionals, helping to turn a tough situation into a wonderful outcome! Darren, our project manager, took care of every construction detail and was always there for us to ask questions. Stephanie, our designer, developed designs to make the kitchen both beautiful and efficient. We could not be happier with this project! Distinctive Remodeling is a team that gets the job done without excuses or delays, something very uncommon today. The honesty, integrity, quality of work and professionalism make Distinctive Remodeling “one of a kind” company.Thank you Eddie, Darren and Stephanie for your expertise and commitment to our project.Services:Tile work replacement,Cabinet design,Remodeling,Plumbing fixture installation
Renee Peet: Matt Faro was terrific to work with when my oven, down vent and cooktop went out and had to be replaced. The good folks at Distinctive Appliances referred me to Matt when we took the opportunity to add a double oven to our kitchen and rework the island for more storage. He and the team went above and beyond to make sure that the new cabinets not only matched, but that all the new appliances that had to be put in were upgraded to code in the installation. The work is beautiful, the service was great. The coordination with Distinctive Appliances was seamless. I would definitely use them again for another project.Services:Cabinet design,Custom cabinet design installation
A Kofsky: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessI used Distinctive Remodeling to build my dream outdoor kitchen. Eddie was incredibly responsive to all my questions and did a terrific job on the design and install. I was not in the home yet and even at a distance, he completed the entire project flawlessly.
JJ G: This was my 3rd project with Distinctive Remodeling and I would never use any other company for remodeling work in my home. The owner, Eddie Cassanave, and his team of skilled professionals do outstanding work on all fronts. This most recent project included two major updates to my family room area. We replaced a dated built in bookcase with custom wood cabintry to house a wine refrigerator and bar area. In that same living space we replaced an old tradtional fireplace and mantle with a new linear model with a floating mantle. Eddie's team was able to help me create and execute my vision. They are responsive, professional, and deliver high quality results!Services:Cabinet design,Custom cabinet design installation,Remodeling
Will Joseph: Distinctive Remodeling was referred to us by a neighbor who used them for a similar project; converting a screened deck into a 3 season sunroom with a natural gas fireplace. We interviewed multiple general contractors and Distinctive was the only one that didn't feel like a sales meeting. First, Eddie Casanave, the owner of Distinctive, met us for every meeting prior to the start of construction. Eddie never tried to push up the price of the scope, he understood our budget and made recommendations to keep us within that budget. He was very patient with us as we changed the scope of work numerous times. One of the most important things to us (in addition to quality workmanship) was working with a contractor who stands behind their work and Distinctive delivered! Early on in our project, the flooring that was installed turned out to be defective. The flooring manufacturer tried to get us to accept an unimpressive offer to settle things. Eddie made it clear to the manufacturer that this was NOT a homeowner's problem. The manufacturer agreed to take out all the boards and replace with new ones...which again turned out to be defective. Ultimately, we decided to use a different flooring, which actually resulted in a credit back to us. You heard me correctly! Even with the floor being installed twice, Distinctive stood behind their work and passed none of the additional cost on to us. Even thought this wasn't their fault, they took ownership of the entire situation. Our project manager and assistant project manager, Keith and Nick, were a pleasure to work with. Their attention to detail made us feel like they were treating our project as if it were their own. On more than one occasion, Keith would suggest doing some extra trim out work that wasn't articulated in the contract, but he felt it was something they had to do to make things look exceptional. In the end, Distinctive delivered a beautiful 3 season sunroom where my wife and I can chillax in peace while the kids and their friends run around our house! Thanks Distinctive!Service:Remodeling
Skip Allen: When my wife and I decided to finish off our bare basement, we researched and interviewed several different remodeling agencies. Our initial visit with Distinctive Remodeling was with Eddie Casanave, the founder/owner of DR. We were both impressed with Eddie, his company and proposed pricing. After signing the contract, we were assigned Michelle as our designer and Keith as our project manager. We could not have asked for two better people for our project. Michelle came up with a great design (a TV/Entertainment room. two bedrooms and bath) and was beyond patient with helping us decide on materials and colors. Keith created a construction schedule that was shared with us. He also made certain we were kept informed of the different processes and trades that would be working on our basement. He was able to keep the entire project on schedule and was available literally 24 hours a day for any questions we may have had. At the end of the project, we have exactly what we were hoping for. We strongly recommend Distinctive Remodeling for any remodeling project you may have. You won't be disappointed.Services:Install flooring,Cabinet design,Paint indoors,Custom cabinet design installation,Remodeling,Drywall installation,Plumbing fixture installation
Sharon Currin: Distinctive Remodeling was awesome! We did a kitchen addition and covered deck. They have certified kitchen designers who a assisted with our project from the beginning to the end! This included the plan/design and selection of cabinets, countertop, lighting, flooring, decking, appliances, and MORE! Project manager(s) were on site every day to oversee construction and other details and were readily available to answer questions. Our project took longer that expected, due to COVID-19 delays, but we are so pleased with our beautiful new kitchen and deck!Service:Remodeling
Beth Murphy: I have used Distinctive Remodeling for multiple projects over the years: master bath - kitchen - guest bathrooms - powder room AND laundry room. Every remodel was impeccably designed and flawlessly renovated. I always knew what was happening, always informed of any delays and/or issues, and most importantly always felt like I was being dealt with honestly. My kitchen remodel was over four years ago, but when I called over an issue I was having with some cabinets, they responded immediately and resolved the problem. For high quality, beautiful and unique designs and renovations I HIGHLY recommend Distinctive Remodeling.Service:Remodeling
Lee Lyon: We loved all the people we worked with.Michelle was very helpful in making all my choices. She lead me to the backsplash I choose and I love it. I would never have imagined it would look like this if she had not shown me pictures of it. She always gave me all the time I needed and was there to answer any questions I had.Keith and Nick were both very professional and fun. They always kept me informed as to what was going on and who would be here. They always asked if I had any concerns or questions. We were almost sad to see the job completed because we wouldn’t be seeing them anymore. We would definitely ask for them on the next job we doAll of the trades were very good. We really appreciate all the time and work Winston put into installing our cabinets. They are amazing! We will definitely use you again for any remodeling jobs we have!
Jackie Holcombe: Distinctive Remodeling finished a room in our basement and we highly recommend their work. From Eddie's initial visit to the quick estimate to the finished product, we are satisfied customers. His site supervisor was very responsive and his craftsmen & women arrived each day as scheduled. We were made aware of change order costs (all minor and at our request) quickly. DR worked well with the town on permits & inspections. What's more - and we're a stickler for this - they removed all debris and left the jobsite clean & tidy. Our project included framing, sheetrock, HVAC, paint, flooring, trim & electrical plus a finished storage closet. We will definitely use Distinctive Remodeling in the future.
Scott Hensley: If you want something done right and with great quality, I'd highly recommend Distinctive Remodeling. They don't try to upsale you and find what the best product is for what you want to do. we had new flooring put in downstairs as well as new windows on our deck and collapsable doors from our living room to deck installed. It made our house into a whole new living experience.
Jim Riviere: Distinctive remodeling originally remodeled three of our bathrooms a few years ago. They did such a great job that we came back to them for an extensive kitchen, wine cellar and office remodeling project which required structural modifications. They are easy to work with, always are looking to please you, and come back immediately if any issues arise. Their workmanship was so good that the projects won two STAR design awards. Hands down, we are 110% satisfied.
Nita Cotten: Very frustrating experience. I wasted 2 months of precious time of doing a small kitchen remodel with this company. After my inquiry on their website to be contacted, I didn't hear from anyone. Then after making a call, it took over a month and a few phone calls before Matt actually would call me back and come to our house to look at our project. That should have been my first red flag. Then after coming on the 10th it took until the 28th to just get a price. I had been told when evaluating the project that we were well under my budget but then 18 days later the price was $6,000.00 over my highest range of budget. After contacting him about the huge difference he just acted like he just didn't realize some things. I think the real problem was he didn't want to do the work and instead of being a professional and communicating that, he went way over my budget to technically run me off. It was for the best since I have already found others to do the work and save me a ton of money. So glad I didn't sign a contract with such a inconsiderate contractor. Beware because I let their rating of 5 allow me to waist time on someone so unprofessional. Being busy is one thing but being inconsiderate is another.
Robert Kerns: Last year my wife and I decided we had outgrown our kitchen. We were exploring different types of cooking and the limited counter space was making the preparation of larger items like brisket and ribs was a challenge. The number of kitchen gadgets we had were overwhelming our cabinets. We love cooking in the kitchen together and where we enjoyed this we were bumping into each other and reaching across each other. What made it more frustrating is there was a dining room adjacent to the kitchen that was primarily being used as an overflow space for kitchen items and random things from around the house.Looking at different local remodeling companies online, I liked the look of the projects I was seeing on the Distinctive Kitchen and Remodeling website. I reached out to them and a member of their team came out and asked my wife and I very specific questions about what we wanted out of our kitchen; what types of meals we liked to cook, the ages of our kids, am I right or left handed, what type of appliances were we looking to get.Over the next few months we worked with their team on the layout, picking out appliances, choosing the right cabinets, counter tops and lighting fixtures. All of the subcontractors were brought to our house when it came time to begin the actual work. We met each of them and they each explained their part of the process. We cannot express the exemplary work of the project manager assigned to our kitchen remodel. Every morning when I woke up at 5 a.m. there were test messages waiting for me letting me know what would accomplished on that day.the project designer was on scene checking in on the process as the project went through demolition to rebuilding. Now we are in our new kitchen. My wife and I have room to move and share time cooking together. This cohesive team brought the vision in our heads to life. This company works hand in hand to make sure this is the kitchen you want. They took an area that was too small and combined with a room of dead space to give us a kitchen we will be able to use for years.
Jane Gregory: If anyone can do it, Eddie Casanave can. I hired Eddie and his team to do a major remodel of an entire new kitchen which involved moving a load bearing wall among many other things. Since then I have also hired him to do 2 bathroom remodels. His expertise, integrity, responsiveness and professionalism are all top notch. It was important to me to have the utmost trust in the company and quality of work performed in my home. A worry free and great experience!
Burdett's Woodworks: I had to order Well-borne Cabinetry through Distinctive Remodeling to match a customers existing cabinetry. Stephanie helped me with my order and was extremely helpful in making sure everything was accounted for, and finding odd sized replacement doors for a customization. Unfortunately the cabinets came damaged, and one item was incorrectly labeled by the manufacturer. Not only did DR not cash my check until the issue was resolved, Stephanie helped me figure out the best way to facilitate the repairs and get me the materials I needed right away, which happened to be late on a Friday afternoon.. I am very appreciative of the Customer Service shown by Distinctive Remodeling and would not hesitate in working with them again in the future.

Wood Wise Design & Remodeling: what do users think?
Stephanie Hanke: We first reached out to Woodwise to get an idea of what we should expect from a renovation. Becky answered the phone and couldn’t have been more warm or kind. We had Becky and Hank come out to explain the design build process and again, we were comforted by their kindness. Going into a major renovation, knowing you’re in good hands is of utmost importance. We needed to feel that we could trust our home in their hands and my goodness did they deliver. We started the design process with Kathy and made our choices with her. She is top notch in her industry. If you aren’t working with an architect like Kathy, you’re missing out. She was always willing to answer our (many) questions and the responsiveness has been unmatched.Once things got rolling, I can’t express what a fun project this was. Did I just say “fun” when describing a renovation that takes out a kitchen, laundry area, and bathroom?! The crew who is doing the hard work every day is phenomenal and to be honest, I miss them! They got to know our children, they ALWAYS showed up with good attitudes, they always answered our questions, and listen - they cleaned up after every work day. Our kitchen was bare, our laundry room was taken down to the studs, and it was clear and clean every day.Overall, our project went better than we could have imagined. If there was something onsite that we wanted to tweak, or add (sorry Ben!), they were wonderful about making sure we were happy. After all, we are going to live here for many many years to come, and I believe they understand that and want us to be 100% satisfied as customers.I can confidently and wholeheartedly recommend Woodwise if you’re considering any work for your space. The process is intrusive but with Woodwise, we have felt completely comfortable and happy every step of the way.Service:Remodeling
Colleen Briggs: We loved our experience with Woodwise. The entire team was kind, considerate and extremely professional. They did a great job helping us navigate the design and execution process to create a beautiful end product. We can’t recommend them enough!
Kate Patterson: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,ResponsivenessThis is a really great company to work with. They make the process as easy as it could be. Their communication was great, and Kathy's amazing design eye takes a lot of the stress out of decision making.Service:Remodeling
Kuntree The great: Very helpful I called for a job although they were fully staffed they we're very helpful and recommended a separate company for a job
Gail Birkby: The owner came to our home today and was very friendly and honest. He explained that his designers would need to make the plans and that we weren’t really a good fit for his company based on our designs and ideas we already had in mind. I’m guessing our budget didn’t meet the companies expectations as he also said he was “the most expensive” if our project was in the 100k area we might have made the cut do do business with them.
Cat Lineberry: Woodwise did major remodeling work for us in both our master bathroom and in our family room. We enjoyed working with their design team, project manager and all of their craftsmen. We were impressed with their attention to detail and their innovative ideas. The communication was excellent throughout the project. We are very pleased with the renovations and would recommend Woodwise to others as we feel confident in the quality of their work and the professionalism of their team.
