Village Regional Library: what do users think?
Victoria Irzhevsky: Great place, very helpful staff, we come in regularly and always have a wonderful experience!
Anthony Perfetto: Awesome ladies in there helped me.find a good book
Jeffrey Calloway: A library that seems more like a bookstore. Tons of book clubs an activities. Superb.
Yelizaveta Petrova: Very clean ! Quite, great stuff ! I love come working here
Mary Corson: Very, clean friendly workers, plenty of room.
Jessica Smith: Following up with Easmond Codjoe.I've visited this library for a long time even before the remodel. It was awesome pre-pandemic. I attempted to view this establishment through varied viewpoints. however, I too experienced discerning events such as kids making noises & same passive-aggressive attitudes from staff–from non-welcome greets to plain unhelpful. I was short $0.20 for a couple black & white pages, the staff act as if it will literally brake them to help you. I support wearing masks in government facilities but briefly lifted my mask to take a breather. In the same instant, a female librarian advised placing the mask back on. I lightly joked with her but whew, NEVERMIND!! Leaving the building, I recited very little of US(besides the security) around there from staff, visitors & students. To be appreciated for your presence, I advise the African American community to visit Green road library, North Regional Library or Richard B Harrison library
Angel Blake: On 3/16/2023 at approximately 6:30-6:40pm in Oberlin Regional Library, I reported that there was a man exposing himself at one of the tables on the top floor to a security guard. Although she escorted me to get my things so that I could leave. I find it astounding that he was not asked to leave and that the police were not called after I brought it up. She simply said that she would keep her eye on him. What good is that at this point? This is a public library with children around. There were children directly behind this man. I don't understand why this was allowed. I am very disappointed because this is one of my favorite Wake County libraries, and I am confused why they have security if they are not going to do anything.I write this not to be a pest but because I see numerous children in this library. I am fairly young, and I could have easily been a minor. This man is a heavy-set, tall, African American with red and black dreadlocks. Please walk your children to their tutors, and ladies if you see this man, just move. He was staring at me while completing the act, and I will never get that image out of my head. Please, please be careful. If this library won't help, we must help ourselves.
Carl Stiffler: Attempted to utilize my thumb drive to open a window word file, at first, it worked...then later it said that the file I was then attempting to open contained questionable material, then all my files were scrambled and corrupted...the policies and procedures states that they are not responsible for said actions...definitely a bummer of a day here...usually it has been a 4, or 5 star visit...
Katy Willett: Great lighting. Pretty quiet.
Easmond Codjoe: I have read good reviews but all those are from white folk. As a black man I sensed passive aggression when the white library lady, out of nowhere came to say” sir! I would have to ask you to pick up your bag from the floor “ I know some of the racism is just unconscious. We all need some training.
Gregory Cyr: I have been going at this library for 33 years and enjoy it.I go to the Fresh Market next store as well.
Morgan A: All of my kiddos have loved the library. Storytime is fun for all ages and the librarians are so nice!
Justin Brown: Spacious and inviting with excellent lighting. Plenty of work stations available. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of books and resources available. The free wi-fi is fantastic.
Nkem Okorie: Very great place to go for good books and peace/quiet!
Megan Ball: Such a gem! My 3 year old and I have an equally great time at every visit.
Cole Heck: Fine library, a little bit sketchy
Polly Rodriguez: The most amazing resourceful librarians! They have book finding super powers. Also check out the posted events and classes available. Allow enough time to satisfy a leisurely browsing!
Brittney Paxon: I've been going to a community library but was disappointed with the book selection so I decided to check out this location. Holy cow! I'm glad I did. There is a huge selection of books. This library is huge and very nice. The staff is nice and they actually have multiple librarians on duty to answer questions (unlike local libraries, which normally have one). I will definitely be back to this location!
Paradox Dollbox: First time visiting this library. I love it! Went on a Monday afternoon, and there was no noise. There were tons of computers and only about a third of them taken up. Still quiet! And I had trouble with the printer; the people at the reference center desk were amazingly helpful. I plan to visit again (because this library met my every need)!
rajabu kitindi: Awesome
AJ: Ok here we go library used to be ok eons ago sadly that is no longer the case have been here plenty of visits can give my official review of it. Like various people have said employee's that are worth 5 cents bad customer service by them various noise by loud gen z crowds of high schoolers and business types various Hobo's hanging out drinking beer and various beverages in the restrooms and other things in there sleeping everywhere all day til close york security mall cops harass library patrons be ready for the bully pulpit treatment say something about them harassing you be prepared to be trespassed by them Raleigh pd bullies and library employee trolls there it's a circus here with alot of scary stuff and scary 🤡 here have a attorney on speed dial here on stand by for your legal issues from library staff cause and York security mall cops results will vary here beware of the. circus here avoid this place go else where I don't come here anymore cause of the drama here it's not worth it to me it's a mental ward I don't miss visiting ever again.😎💯🤣

North Regional Library: what do users think?
Mali IsAdørable: Great library. Easy access to computers and friendly staff.
Joshua Rigsbee (Josh): Great place for studying!
Olivia H.: Very friendly and helpful thank you so much! Honored and happy to have my library card :)
Patrick Lynch: January 2023: Great library with easy to find books (as usual). Large letter signs above each section. Very clean after the remodel, and who can complain about the new extended hours?!
朱丽莎老师: Wish there was a quiet study for adults but it’s q good library.
Kairi: i use to go here and play coolmath games on the computers
Kim Ryan: Nice big library. Great story times!
Kristin Boyd: All good except one printer down.
Sherry W: The library as a whole is garbage. I have requested books from the library, and they have declined every last one of the books I have requested. For one, they don't have a great variety of African American books. Especially, eBooks. That's why I support other libraries because Wake Co. Libraries don't have much to choose from.
s smith: Sad and disappointed with the remodel. After being shut down for nearly 2 years from Covid and another 9 months for remodeling, I was saddened and deeply disappointed with the re-opening.Positives. The library has a nice, new carpet smellWinner. The North Regional library staff.-The staff now has an over large check out space with a beautiful white top. This replaced the large custom veneer check out station-There are now several new automated check out stations so that parents can check out up to 4 books at a time. Supermarkets install automated check out line to reduce the need for staff. The library appears to have installed these expensive check out stations because they are colorful. Same number of staff. I have been in this library and the one before it hundreds of time over the last decades, at all hours, and on all days. I never waiting for more than a few minutes to check out-Enclosed offices. The two very popular group study areas have been closed and converted into staff offices. These two now supplementing the large enclosed area behind the main desk-LED lighting over the check out station and throughout the library. LED lights are still not cost effective compared to other options, but these new high tech fixtures are very handsome. This library itself was designed for natural light so the color of these bulbs are nearly useless and a little distracting during the day.Winner. The Green Road Library. This tiny gem became my go-to library while the North Regional was closed. It needs a refresh, but the staff is super helpful, the library is never busy and it has a nice, comfortable layout. I will keep using this wonderful libraryLoser. Kids and their volunteer tutors. The library converted the beautiful flat table with awkward single-station partition-tables. Volunteers working with students will have to go elsewhereLoser. Anyone working on a group project, or anyone who needed a quiet area to take a video call. The two very useful enclosed areas are now closed and reserved for staff useLoser. Anyone who enjoyed periodicals. The library eliminated all paper periodicals and converted this area into a very uncomfortable longe that includes a couple a tiny flat work tables that are sized for kindergarten students. I spent many comfortable afternoons reading special interests magazines here in the past. That is now over. Certainly less work however for the staffLoser. Anyone who wants to bring a laptop stand with them. The new single station work station are very narrow and wide - a nearly useless configurationLoser. Taxpayers. Months of expensive work and the library is now less useful than before. My sense is that the design was done by someone who never used a library. Perhaps the designer hoped to showcase the new check-outstations and light fixtures on their website?Overall, the refresh gave the already superb library a colorful uplift and removed the the apparently dated light-oak-veneer furniture. However the extremely expensive refurbishment appears to have been done by people who: apparently never use libraries; and, were either unaware or were tone-deaf to the way Post Covid people now use libraries. Yesterday's technology today is on full display. No new capabilities were created and many old capabilities were lostRefresh=Fail. Public money wasted
Desiree Gist: This library was nice and big. The staff were all nice and we found the book we needed quickly
Ginny Tessitore: It's absolutely beautiful inside. The staff was very helpful and accommodating.
Rebecca Ruano: Great library! Friendly and helpful staff. Kids love it! All it needs is a coffee shop 😉 As of August 1, 2022, they are re-open!!! Yay!
Amber Apostol: I love this library. It was so easy to drop in and get a library card from a friendly librarian. The digital content is awesome. I also love that they have book club events from time to time. I haven't been in the market for the kid or teen events, but they routinely have diverse, creative, and fun looking events for all ages. My only wish is that they'd add more language learning programs or materials. For example, the Durham library has a bit more in terms of resources to learn Spanish.
Maureen Scanlon: Employees were very helpful and kind!
Becky: Super nice staff, great selection!
K D: I truly love this amazing library with great staff!
Raymona Green: If security or staff ask parents/guardians to remove their children when the children are being loud and disruptive, this would be the greatest location in Raleigh. Location can be very noisy. Security personnel is horrible and can be somewhat harassing. Hovering around one person working at an open computer near children books, another woman with children was sharply placing children books in her bag and then walked out.A few staff members ( not all) has revealed their racial preferences; therefore, African-American consumers may need to ask the same question to a few employees before getting results. I have stood at the counter waiting while staff finish their conversation only for them to “immediately” serve the white lady who walked up after me. That’s a problem. My complaint to the manager was pretty much brushed off.Parking is ridiculous!Otherwise, the place is a pretty good size, has a good selection, and it is clean.
Laurie Ibrahem: This place is nice but the staff need to change. They need to leave that job and stay home. All of them are old people with disabilities and very hard to deal with.
Alicia Shaddix: The employees here are so friendly and helpful! Our family has especially enjoyed the Books on the Go and Book Bundle services during COVID-19.
Ernest Freeman: Books

Duraleigh Road Community Library: what do users think?
Christina Urban: Conveniently location, small but well stocked
Kelsie Buck: Conveniently located. We love walking here with our 4 y.old to pick out children's books. The selection is small, and thats usually okay for us. Friendly staff that can order books for you from other locations. Craft and story time every Saturday at 11am.
davon jones: Excellent
M Williams: The lady was very helpful and showed me everything I need to know
Rachel Abramson: The library is nice and the the librarians are helpful.
Terry Nimmer: Easy to get to resources fast.
Andrew Gooch: Though the library is smaller then some when I first arrived in Raleigh I need to use my computer to find work. The staff here extremely friendly and very helpful. No they may not have a large number of outlets to accommodate a whole bunch of people if they do take out with the space they have. Staff are friendly and willing to help. I’m thankful through them. They do a story time for kids and I’m thinking about taking the girls to it. While I was working on resumes and applications I listen to their story time and found that the kids really like it and they found good people to tell the stories. Thank you for trying your best with space your have available I couldn’t of done better job myself.
Jordan Miller: There are almost no AC outlets.
Milana Daher: Very small, not enough computers. Not private room such as in Cary location. Noisy and staff don’t care of other’s privacy. I went there to prepare my real estate exam but I regretted. So loud. Doesn’t look like library but bazaar.
Angie White: Smaller library, but good selection of materials
Kierra C: Giving this library a 2 star review because of its small size and lack of electrical outlets. There are only three small lounge chairs where people can work with laptops. There are several other four chair tables but no outlets on the walls. I wanted to get some work done in a quiet place, but this library isn't set up for that.
John McKinney: Great selection for my two year old! We go there every other week to pick it new bedtime books. The staff is very friendly! I do wish the kid's area was sectioned off, however, because my daughter can be a little loud sometimes.
Mark Vincent: Small, quiet local branch but will order anything that's available. Has computers to borrow too...
Howard Thirtle: Printing
Cherie: Been here once. Didn't find what I was looking for but the assistant was nice and the place is clean.
Steven Warren: Clean and convenient
Meghan G: This library is too loud. I came to study and kids are running everywhere. I keep hearing doors opening and closing. I thought in the library it should be quiet but I guess not.
Michael Laney: Small location with friendly staff.

D. H. Hill Jr. Library: what do users think?
Anurata Hridi: You gotta love this library.
Foziljon Eshmatov: Amazing
Tom Sneed: ... can also be used for research or study ... contains many words and ideas: none of which are harmful to spine-endowed-mammals ...
Connor Bass: Whenever I was a student at NCSU and needed to really buckle down and study, the 3rd and 4th floor were amazing for this. Better than Hunt for this in my opinion.
Austin Davis: Definitely a better library than that soulless one on centennial campus.
Jackson Smith: Tons of space and places to study. Comes with computers
Carli Gordon: cold
Onkar Chaudhari (श्री दत्त कृपा): North Carolina State University Raliegh library is a huge and very nice place for students to study here. It is peaceful and all facilities are available here. It is open 24*7 for the students. Therefore the students here study and do their research work in an excellent manner. They have the personal computer and login to access online books and journals.
Olivia Fiser: The lack of outlets across all floors is annoying, especially since thousands of college students use this library regularly. And when you do find an outlet, chances that they work are minimal. If there were more outlets it would be way nicer
AJ Fathi: This library has a decently sized collection of books (although not as many books as other libraries of large Universities) and excellent facilities. This library has been very useful and I have gotten books and articles from here (both digitally and physically). I enjoy the nice furniture, browsing through the bookstacks and the white boards. I also enjoy renting out technology and looking at the aerial view from the top floors. I have spent a lot of time studying here as the rooms are typically very quite (except when the library is more crowded).
Emma Story: I love this place with my whole heart and soul - would live here if get let me
John Nolan: Great place for studying! Fantastic view and many available resources within as well.
Jessica Vega: Great place to study and get work done. I love the whiteboards & whiteboard tables that make it super easy to visualize or jot down some quick notes
Naman Goel: It's a great library with plenty of amenities. It has silent study rooms, discussion rooms, individual study pods and computer labs. It also has a coffee shop and dining area where students/faculties can grab a bite. Also it's located right across Hillsborough St where one can grab a bite to eat or coffee while studying/working at the library.
Henry Marks: This is a great place to chill and study. Awoooooooo! (Wolf howl)
Div: Awesome library with quiet areas and books all the way to 9th floor with a view of the city
Johnny KS: So much KNOWLEDGE here! Love D.H. Hill.
anjali gahlot: Beautiful library my favorite place
Prema Narayana: This is such a great library. As a freshman at NC State, I always found the staff at the library to be extremely helpful and friendly. I was surprised to find out that I can check out more than books and media, but all kinds f technology! They also have fun workshops for free. Also anyone can claim a study room up to a week in advance. I do recommend checking out the renovated section of the library (entrance from the brickyard to the 4th floor), currently int his pandemic you can only enter if you have a student ID (this will change when the pandemic passes over).I started working at the Library in 2019 and it is the best job I have ever had. The managers are very understanding when it comes to assignments and they have always been very supportive for me. After the pandemic, they were still able to offer student a job for scanning textbooks and I am so grateful for that!
Garrett Gunter: A library without Rob Rucker would be a significantly better library.
Sybil Lattimore: I love the new D.H. Hill Jr. Library!

Northeast Regional Library: what do users think?
Angie Hartley: I always take my kids here . This place is very organized. The restroom is always clean. Staffs are friendly. Variety of books to read n you can borrow the book maximum 100 books.
Kelly Moler Glass: I can’t say enough about this library and the librarians. Super selection of audio books, books and materials for kids. The librarians are so kind and engaged. They went on a mission today to find just the book my daughter was looking for and we can’t thank them enough! The programs we’ve been to have also been wonderful.
朱丽莎老师: Wonderful place for remote work! There’s a silent study room with tables and places to plug in. It’s warm in the fall/winter, but not too warm causing drowsiness. There are also various table / work station locations along the walls around the library outside of the silent study room.
Bennett David: My family loves this library. The have plenty of book options for all ages, the librarians are helpful and knowledgeable and there are plenty of places in the library to work, read, or just find some quiet time.
Sarah Boota: Clean and well lit, with helpful and friendly staff. Public space for sitting and reading, computer for working, and a quite study room for working. Love all of the daily programs for kids as well!
Vickie Koch: A beautiful library with so many books and wonderful and friendly staff to assist!
Stefan: Wonderful library! Safe, well kept, clean, helpful staff, awesome books, and computers and printer available when needed, and even events for the kids happening regularly. It is a joy for the whole family!
Tim Ryan: Great library. The staff is friendly and they have good programs for children and adults.
Cheyanne: This library is the best and the staff are so friendly and greet you with a genuine smile when you walk in.
Wilhelmina Ratliff: The library features several programs that benefit the public. I have thoroughly enjoyed the storytelling program. It is so well planned and organized. The story time features interactive programming that stimulates and fosters learning fun for all in attendance. What a great resource.
Hannah: Amazing place, been going here sense it opened and has amazing staff.
Jessica Crockett: Love this library! Very friendly and helpful staff. The books to go is one of my very favorite things with picture books and early readers. The variety they give us is so much better than what I would pick out.The library itself is very clean and well stocked!
mark annichiarico: Great staff and wonderful programs for kids.
Barbara Joyce: Friendly, helpful staff!
Kristine Bachstein: Very nice, clean & new. Staff is very helpful
Tom Munson: Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Great facility
Gil Brazel: High marks. Abby is very helpful and kind.
Debra Sparks: What a great library for all ages. The book selections are diverse and I love how they represent specific months with book displays. The staff is amazing and so helpful. Even during the pandemic the library shifted and provided a service of books on the Go. When things opened back up they allowed shortened times to browse and select books as well as still offering books on the Go for pick up outside or inside the building. Yesterday when we went they still had option of books on the Go but also you could come in and browse as long as you liked. They also have lots of online courses which is so great.
Andrea Cam: It was very nice building tucked away but unfortunately didn't have any printers available at this time. This was the only reason for my visit. The staff was very helpful to get me to another place that could serve me.
Richard Derrenbacher: It was a brief visit to return some books and check out another. I felt comfortable with the protocol of wearing a mask and having my temperature taken digitally at the door. The library was setup to make it as safe as possible.
Michelle Hilmes: Great place, very clean, great service, reasonably quiet, they have activities for different age groups
