Laragh Covington: The folks here did a fabulous job of restoring my original carriage lights for my house. I was told they were past any hope by multiple folks but they exceeded my expectations. Hoping they will last another 150 years!

C Perotti: These brothers do a great job at a good price. We've been bringing our lights to be repaired to them years. One time I asked them to take a lamp bottom from a lamp the shade had broken on and see if they could create a new lamp with another mica shade I had from another lamp. They made the lamp look better than I could have imagined. Picture below.

Rachel Petillo: I had several old lamps from my apartment in Paris moved to North Carolina. Every lamp had to be re-wired to work with US plugs. Lighting Inc handled each lamp with care and they were all working just fine once they were finished. They even provided new light bulbs for each lamp. They delivered them to my apartment safely and the whole process was quick/smooth. I ended up knocking over one of my floor lamps, breaking off the socket from the lamp base after they left. They let me bring it back in and fixed it without any hesitation. The only reason I didn't put 5 stars is simply because they didn't call to notify me when the lamp was fixed the second time, so it was sitting there ready for a few days. Other than that, both John and Fred were kind, professional, and easy to communicate with. I would recommend them to anyone needing their services and will use them again in the future if I'm back in the area. -Francis Ford Coppola
Victoria Allred-Bennett: Based on Google reviews I went to Lighting, Inc on Dec 5, 2016. They have an impressive collection of antique lights - very fun to look at. There were 4 very nice gentlemen who spent the hour that I was there, discussing their weekends and how their wives were, while I browsed. I selected a light. I paid a 50% deposit and arranged for some changed to the light - wiring, painting it a bronze color, etc. They told me the light had been there 12 years so you would think they'd be thrilled to move it. They told me they were backed up on "repairs" by 4-6 weeks when I paid my deposit. I waited 8 weeks. When there was no proactive call, I called them. Nothing had been done to my light. They told me "we're backed up 4-6 weeks, we'll get back to you". We did this dance periodically for six MONTHS. I finally called them a week ago (last week of June 2017) and told them I'm done waiting. They kindly agreed to refund my money with profuse apologies. They again cited "we're backed up 4-6 weeks". I said, "no you're not, it's been 6 months". The gentleman on the phone (VERY nice) said, "your order has been placed out of sight, out of mind" and "we've not been able to catch up from our move 2 YEARS ago". Please sir. Get it together! Unless you want to buy something from their floor and handle any changes or repairs yourself, don't bother with this place. High point - they did refund my money promptly when requested - which is the ONLY reason I'm giving them 2 stars instead of 1 (or negative star values...if I could).
Sherry Johnson: These guys were extremely helpful. I love doing business with people like this. They helped me figure out a rough estimate for a chandelier that I bought from someone else. Plus showed me how to take it apart. Very nice people who I will gladly do business with in the future.

I called around and spoke to somebody at Lighting, Inc who talked me through a couple of things I could do to test the switch. A couple of minutes later, I was able to get the switch working and the lamp is working again. I really value businesses that take the time to help.

We have found treasure after treasure at Lighting Inc. They have restored antique fixtures in all sizes and finishes. They also re-wired and re-finished fixtures we found at auctions. They are reasonably and competitively priced. We were very surprised by the large selection available. We have purchased or restored 95% of all of our lighting with Lighting Inc. It is locally owned an operated. Would highly recommend.

Tammy Hale: Do yourself a favor and find another lighting store. They do not care about providing good customer service. We called about a light they had on display, but would need to modify it to fit our space. Our question to them was, if we purchase the light over the phone to secure it, once we come to pick it up, if for some reason we don't feel comfortable doing the modifications to it, can we purchase a different light in their store. Keep in mind, this way they are making a sale no matter what, and the light never leaves the store. We would not want a refund, just a different light that would not need modified. We were told that a manager would call us back, but never did. We called back the next day to just go ahead a purchase the light and take our chances, and wouldn't you know, the light had "just been sold to someone else." We were also told how much work it would have been for them to take the light down just to put it back up and they were so short staffed. Imagine buying a car from a dealership that said you couldn't look inside it or test drive it first because they would have to re-park the car if you didn't buy it.

She's not pushy as a salesperson; it just feels like talking to a good friend, who just happens to be super knowledgeable about lighting! 🤣 Even if you don't think you're in the market for an updated fixture, this place is definitely worth checking out. A beautiful fixture can definitely upgrade any space. Enjoy!

My parents are smart people and have redecorated before... even after telling the woman that they brought one of their shades along so they could find the correct size she refused to help them and told them to visit her competition... I have worked retail before and can guarantee that I would have been chewed out for refusing to help someone and then sending them to the competition. Extremely unprofessional behavior!

eww: I went in prepared to purchase lighting for an entire home. Not one sales associate stood up or looked up from their computer screens as I looked around the showroom. I left and will order from Shades of Light who offers better selection better prices and outstanding customer service. I’m astounded they have survived the pandemic.

Reginald Marshall: I contacted Mike Rubish st Carolina Lighting and set up an appointment for him to come out and take a look at my house and make some recommendations. Within a day or two, Mike arrived and I discussed with him what I had in mind. This was my first time considering professional outdoor lighting so I didn’t know what to expect. I told him what my budget was and Mike assured me they could come up with a solution I would like and stay within my budget. I was a little pessimistic for sure. But I was more than pleased with the final result. I think the night time demonstration did it for me. This allowed me to see beforehand exactly what the final outcome would look like. I am very pleased and would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for professional outdoor lighting.

We needed to purchase floors, lighting, appliances due to a house fire and they lost our business because of their very rude front desk help. All she had to say was unfortunately wish we could help but it’s online only. She told me call my builder over and over. You need etiquette training.

In these crazy times, sometimes it is difficult to get a plumbing contractor to a home for my client. So I have to improvise to keep my client happy. Well Eddie a sales person for the contractor sales office in the back (not in the showroom) at Ferguson off Yonkers Rd helped me so much. 👍🏽 I had pictures and dimensions of what I wanted but no idea how to get it. Eddie was so patient, kind and professional. He really knows his way around the different manufacturers that all have a vast selection of the parts we needed to update the kitchen sink faucet, a new powder room pedestal sink, new powder room touchless brushed gold faucet and a new toilet lever to match the new pedestal sink faucet! All for a great price with delivery in two business days. My client is so happy to know that this will all be completed by Friday evening the week before Thanksgiving! And my client was just hoping for it to be completed by Wednesday of the following week. Now I can focus on my family's needs next week and finished my week with a bang! . THANKS EDDIE!
Mark Maresca: Avoid these guys like the plague (or like a rampant case of COVID).I purchased a built-in Sub-Zero Fridge/Freezer combo from Ferguson for roughly $10k. However, when they installed the fridge and freezer, they only connected the waterline to the ice maker and did not connect the fridge waterline. When I called them they told me that there was only one water line behind the appliance, so that is all they installed. I had to email them a photo from my builder proving to them that there were in fact two waterlines behind the appliance. They reluctantly agreed to come back out to my house to install the waterline.It is now over three months later, and after numerous calls and emails, they still have not come out to install the waterline. They don't even bother responding to my calls or emails. When I do manage to get in touch with someone I am "yessed" to death, or I am handed off to someone else, or my case is transferred to installation or warranties. But nothing gets done.You would think that on such an expensive appliance they would provide a decent level of service. Like I said AVOID...
Andrew Meyer: Recently my wife and I embarked on renovation of our kitchen and powder room. We went to Ferguson to purchase our plumbing supplies and lights for the bathroom. We highly recommend making an appointment with Brandi Jeter, one of their showroom reps. Brandi was extremely helpful in assisting us with picking out the multiple items needed based on our taste and budget. There were a vast number of options and Brandi helped us through the process. She displayed excellent customer service and patience throughout the purchasing process and was very responsive to our follow up questions via emails and phone calls as issues arose during deliveries and construction. Brandi was very easy to work with and we highly recommend using her as you select items for your kitchen or bathroom project.

I will never buy from them again and warn any of my friends to shop elsewhere.
Samantha Moline: Attempted to order the Bosch built-in coffee system. Their website said they had 12 in stock. We called to confirm and place the order. They confirmed, said it would ship in 2 to 4 weeks. Our card was charged but we never received e-mail conformation. We called back and were told the order was cancelled due to a security measure on their end. We placed the order again and were assured it went through. We now have TWO charges for 3,957. Next we received an email that we would not receive the coffee machine until JULY 2023.This is not acceptable.... It took another week but both charges have been refunded.

Shree Kuppam: I bought 2 toilets, from Ferguson...what a nightmare, they delivered the toilet and one of them came broken and the tanks to go with the toilets were never delivered. I paid a plumber to come in only to find out that they had not shipped all the parts and that one toilet came broken. I didnt learn my lesson at that, i let Ferguson to reorder, i was promised that the toilet would come in 3 days, on the 3rd day their delivery partner calls to tell me that the product wont reach me for another 4 days. I called Ferguson back asking to cancel and to refund my money back. They said they cant do anything till their delivery partner delivered the product, BUT i didnt want delivery of the product. They of course couldnt help. I am posting this, so no one go through this pain. Avoid Ferguson !

Vickie Bowers: I purchased three under cabinet lights from here. When our electrician came to install them a week later, they will not work with our style of cabinets. I called the store 13 days after my purchase about returning the lights and was told they have a three day return policy. He said there was a sign posted. Three days is not very long to return an item and not the normal return policy for most stores. If I had been told that the return policy was three days, I would have never bought the lights because I could not get someone to install them that quickly.
