Dana Frost: Friendly service with a sales rep that tries to twist policy to needlessly upsell. Not impressed.
Chris Krupp: Always very busy and shares with dollar. Cars can be hard to come by on peak hours. Hertz always takes care of me which is why I keep coming back. They could use more office staff.
Debra Birchfield: I prepaid for fuel and was told that if I returned it with a full tank, I would not be charged. Apparently, that was a lie. I returned it with a full tank. When I called their automated line. It said there is no refund for unused fuel. Lesson learned.
Green Eyes: Trash wants a $500 deposit and credit check to use your debit card!! Never again I'll book my rentals elsewhere. The whole process is terrible.I was confronted by a Black woman employee and ask if I had a problem with her helping me.. I said yes I don't want you helping me. I will reach out to corporate on this matter.I doubt if anything will be done on about this ghetto behavior I'm sure it's not the first time they confronted customers. ghetto beware. 👎🏼
Jackie Denning: Didn’t have car or car seats ready. Desk added extra insurance even though we declined it and then claimed they couldn’t take it off when we printed out their mistake. Van smells like an ashtray in the worst you club you visited in your early 20’s. Took almost an hour to get out of the parking lot because only one lane open to exit on a Saturday afternoon in July. Worst service I have experienced in a long time.

Muthineni Sridhar Rao: I rented my car today from this location, person directly added extra lost damage waivers of $34.99 per day, I asked them to remove and he did something and printed another paper and I was told done, my mistake I didn’t verify the contract before signing . Now after coming home after an hour I realized that contract is same paper printed again. I called the customer service and there is no way to remove. Avoid these cheaters, if not avoidable cross check the contract before signing, don’t believe on their words.
Shelley Edwards: Absolutely abysmal on the scale of efficiency, service, and delivery. After waiting in line for 45 minutes (the line was not long), I finally got the paperwork executed for my pre-arranged rental (what happened to the “Easy, fast pickup” gimmick?? Several of us in line had the same question). Then, we were all dismissed to the parking lot to “go pick whatever midsize SUV I wanted.” Well, there were no cars. None. For 30 mins, with zero staff around, I wandered about and stood around with the other customers piling up around the empty lanes. A car or two were pulled up by staff but, no—not these. These were not for pickup. It grew into an “every man for himself” scenario pretty quickly, when available cars did show up. Slim pickings. I was supposed to get a “Jeep Cherokee or comparable,” and ended up with a Nissan Rogue (NOT comparable) after 40 mins of growing desperation. The guy next to me was visibly angry I “snatched” up this vehicle, as other customers were, since there was ZERO customer support on the lot to facilitate pickups. The only staff were runners, and they definitely dropped the cars and ran, not wanting to get involved in helping anyone.Then, it took another half hour to get through the long exit line. One line was stopped forever—there was obviously an issue—but the staff’s response was to just not take any corrective action at all.Very little of this poor experience was attributed to the failure of any one individual. Some could have been quicker or taken initiative, but, overall, this comedy of errors represents a failure to manage this location properly. Not just manage it well; not even properly. It was utter dysfunction on every facet.Not ever using Hertz again. Sending this to corporate.

They don't keep a charge, and they make you feel like you have to recharge constantly, and they limit your ability to travel more than 15-20 min away. Takes 2 hours to charge 20%. Wanted to visit a friend in a remote area but couldn't because the nearest charging station was 30-40 miles away and would have had to sit there for 5 hours to charge 50% then when I made it halfway back to my original location would have had to sit for 5 hours again to make it all the way back
Ellen Timmers: I picked up a car the day after all the college graduations (5/15) and the team was SLAMMED, waits were crazy, cars were minimal etc. Regardless, the front desk staff was so kind, patient and helpful. I am sure they were having a nightmare of a day but you never would've guessed from the positivity, friendliness and helpfulness I received. Big shoutout to the team working that day!

Dustin Dodson: When returning a vehicle to this location you have no clue where the heck you're supposed to go the two ladies that were there today one is very rude the other was nice but didn't have much of a clue and wasn't much help other than returning a vehicle that they have no Dropbox so you can't return it if they're not there unless you want to talk to a live person and hope they don't screw you in the end. The vehicle that I got might as well not had windshield wiper blade because they wouldn't clear the windshield to save your life the tires on it are due to be replaced and the vehicle did not have the right amount of fuel in it that it said it did and there was animal hair in the backseat of floorboard and the driver's kick panel was half off when I got it
Moira: There should be an option for zero stars. Ten minutes before out reservation time we were called and told they did not have our car available (we prepaid) and told us to call customer service or the airport, neither of which answered their phones. We have to go down there to speak to the person about refunding our money since they are not answering either even thougg they just called us. Will update when we speak to them about a refund. DO NOT USE AVIS.

Kayla Landers: After some car trouble, we decided to rent a car for a day and a half from Avis as it was the closest option we could find. On a budget we found the cheapest car we could rent, which was an SUV for about $112 a day. We went to rent it and it came to be around $420 dollars. Well the ladies working at this location had put in the wrong time for us to return the car, so I had to call customer service, after being transferred a few times someone finally got our time extended and I had asked why it was over $400, and she had mentioned I would receive my deposit back of $200. After two weeks I never saw my deposit and gave customer service a call today and she was no help as to why I would not get my deposit back other than "If we gave you that money back you would then owe us". This was the first time I had ever rented a car alone, as well as from Avis at all. I will never be returning to Avis because of the headache it has caused as well as the bad customer service I had experienced in the location and the second time with customer service.

They were completely unhelpful and couldn't find ANY cars available within a 50 mile radius! They told me "this happens all the time." They charged my card, so now I have to wait until they can refund me and in the meantime spend all day trying to find another rental agency that I can get a car today.

Second they gave us a car with all balled tires, smelled of nasty smoke, yet it states no smoking and we were driving out of state. Then we had to go to the airport and trade with a different reliable available vehicle. The gas wasn't full on 1st vehicle, yet were told to return it full. After traveling over 8 hrs, stuck in traffic, received an attitude because we returned the vehicle several minutes before 6. This is not a way to get business at all.

I learned my lesson the hard way many years ago, with them trying to charge for damages that weren't even on the car.Unfortunately, after warning my father, he rents a truck from this location at Crabtree. They come out to inspect the vehicle and tell him there would be a $450 charge to clean because there is white dog hair. Needless to say, we don't have a dog 🤦‍♀️. So in other words, they will screw with you too get extra money.

You would think because it's a CAR RENTAL company there would be SIGNS on the OUTSIDE of the building right where you enter. We drove around the entire mall parking lot for about 15 mins before we had to walk in through Macys and then we found it.Now, I will say that the customer service was good once we got inside. Very friendly workers. The customer service rep we called is another story. So fast forward to the car...a Toyota Rav 4. It hadn't been cleaned out/deoderized. It had a "maintenance needed soon" and "low windshield wiper fluid" signal on. It didn't ride smoothly either. And it was MUSTY, too! Idk if the odor came from the previous customers or their food but it stunk. We went back to tell them and one of the workers said he'd do a "5-minute clean up". Well, the smell disappeared...for about 5 mins, lol. We ended up going to RDU Avis/Budget to switch the car out. Quick and easy. If you can find another rental place, please do so. Monique C: Had a terrible experience at this agency as I was overcharged for gas for driving more than 2 miles from the gas station. Konnan has terrible customer service and is not knowledgeable. He is very callous and does not care to assist the customer. His response is to call customer service as he is not interested in investigating the issue any further and would rather close out the rental ticket without further research. If I could give this location a zero I would. I think the 2.6 score speaks volumes and I wish I would have researched further! I will NEVER rent at this location EVER again. Horrible experience!

I made a reservation at one location and received a phone call saying they did not have anymore vehicles even though I received a reservation number. However, I was told that my reservation will be transferred to another location. I get to the second location and was told that there were no cars available. I was told to contact customer service for my issue because they can not assist at the store. I contacted customer service and they advised that I can transfer my reservation again to another location but there is a price difference of $300 that I would have to pay! Therefore I wasted money for an Uber, obtained poor customer service, was told to travel another 25 mins to the second location with the possibility that I may have the same issue! I will make sure I avoid recommending AVIS TO ANYONE!

Enith Briales: I don't see how a previous balance disqualify you from renting a car when you provide a updated statement of a zero balance owed. I even had my light company directly email you the receipt that the account had a zero balance because the next billing cycle didn't go out until next month and a billing statement couldn't be issued because of how their system is set up. I had this issue yesterday . My driver license as well as having full coverage was all cleared. If a customer is providing a updated statement of a zero balance owed directly from the light company and all the other requirements you require checks, no one should be denied. Your losing money. Please make it make sense

I wasn't told until I got there about no installment plan indication on bill...but there was no amount past due. Everything changed once I got there...😉

We spent 21 hours in a vehicle with the stench of cigarette or vape smoke. We were told it was the only SUV available (now we know why) AND, we were on a time constraint.When we returned the vehicle, we asked to speak with the manager and the employee said he was not there today. We asked him to speak about our experience with the manager and to get back with us. And he said he would. That was over one week ago. No communication whatsoever.This was the most disgusting experience we have ever had with a car rental.

Shawn Lafferty: I would avoid this location. Talked to an individual over the phone and confirmed my reservation. They did not have a vehicle available when I arrived and offered no assistance on the issue.

That was a patently FALSE statement as my email confirmation & itnerary details show it was scheduled as at pick up at my home address!Next the agent at Creedmoor Rd said it would be sometime late tomorrow afternoon 5/9/2023 before the reservation I HAD made for 5/8/2023 by 5PM would even be possible.. Don’t advertise & schedule what there is NO intention of doing !

SWATDOG: I sat in my first vehicle and drove away. I had travelled approximately 1 mile down the road when the overpowering odor of smoke caused me to turn around and return the vehicle. I was given a Camaro next, which caused me trouble all week. Dirty, the windshield inside was so smoke dingy, it was really hard to see whenever it was sunny. My last 4 rentals from enterprise have either been dirty, smelled like cigarette smoke, marijuana, or just in poor condition. The manager was nice and respectful, but the car’s condition each and every time has been terrible. I recently received a significant promotion where I’ll need to rent at least 2 weeks a month, but unfortunately I think our company will need to change rental car companies ASAP. That’s a shame because enterprise is 1 mile away.

Although she was not able to resolve my issue herself, she did all she could by making phone inquiries to other branches and directing me to resolution of my problem. What was profoundly striking, she was so very personable and extremely empathetic with me and the all other customers l watched her assist. She has the highest understanding and application of customer service l have seen in any Enterprise branch.

Sarah Holder: I was very upset that I called Alamo twice because my flight was delayed three times. I was told by a person that if I arrive at Raleigh Durham after 12:30 am, the rental car at Alamo would be closed so I would have to come back the next day at 4:30 am when it officially opened to rent a car. Our flight landed around 2:30. My husband and I had to wait at the airport until 4:15 and then caught a shuttle to the rental car area. As soon as we were boarding the shuttle, we and two other couples were told that we could have rented a car 24 hours! We were flabbergasted!! The other customer were very disappointed also. They as well as us had been told the same thing! We were taken care of, but we almost miss the funeral services because of our fatigues and tiredness we almost overslept. PLEASE let whoever know that care rental is available 24/7 so that no one else will be lied to. We are very upset.
Thomas Reed: Quick check-in. Maybe too quick. No actual inspection of the vehicle before we left. Clerk assumed we did not want insurance coverage, never asked. Didn’t ask what program we wanted for returning the car with or without gas. Did give us an upgrade, I assume because they ran out of the category of cars we had reserved. Everyone was very nice.

Joseph Parker: Legit the WORST location ever. Despite having a reservation I was unable to receive a vehicle. The gentleman at the counter “attempted” to help with a few unnecessary questions. When returning with several rental keys he informed me that those cars were reserved for people who made the reservation before me ??? Didn’t make much sense and now I have to go through the customer service channels which we all know is unpleasant.

The manager blamed it on another location. When I emailed customer service with photos, I got a response that had nothing to do with the issues. Then they offered me one free day of rental. Customer service is absolutely terrible. I'll spend the extra money and rent from Enterprise in the future.

Then I call the location when I am on the way to say I will be a little late due to traffic for the guy to tell me that location does not have any cars to rent. I tell him this is for a funeral and I need to get on the road to get to my mom's funeral. The guy tells me the only location that has vehicles is the airport location and only customer service can change the location (since I booked through third-party). So i head to the airport and when I get in line I call customer service and wait for 28:33 minutes to speak to someone for the representative to tell me he can change the location but I would be responsible for the price difference of $200. After explaining that is not good customer service he tells me he can transfer me to customer service, I ask him what can they do different from him and he responds he doesn't know he doesn't work in that dept. After going back and forth with him I just hang up on him call the location I was originally supposed to get my vehicle for and tell them to cancel since they have no vehicles. This location and the call center lack serious customer service skills

I booked a rental for pickup on Monday and sold my own car, turns out they don't have any cars (they let me know the morning of pick up well before time), so I am now left without anything.Then I called support, and asked them to give me another location which has the car, they gave me Glenwood location, modified the reservation and then few hours later, I get a call from Glenwood location and they don't have any vehicles either. Apparently there is a big shortage, but at-least the support people and the website should show this?Now the only place left is RDU airport location which is 25 minutes away, I have been trying to call them and no-one is picking up. The only thing I can do is take a taxi to the airport and check if they give me something for the next few days, and if they don't have anything either then waste an entire round-trip to the airport. Surely in this day and age we can do better?Kept getting emails on confirmation either so it is not the website but their whole system. Unfortunately, my company has a corporate contract with Avis so I can't book any other company for the business rental.

Ahmad called me and let me know I would not be getting a car due to shortage. I should have known before Friday that I would not have a car. I really think I should have had this car already considering I booked it almost two months in advance and not get a phone call the day before I go pick it up that there are no more cars available. Worst of all I kept getting emails telling me to pick up the car on all day on Saturday. Why would I keep getting emails after I received a phone call notifying me that I will not be getting a car. I will not be renting from you guys in the future ever! I want you to delete my account from your system. I will stick with Enterprise Rent A Car. I'm glad I also booked with them as a backup since they had plenty of cars available. I understand there is a shortage of cars but I deserved a call well in advance before Friday. When I told this to Ahmad he said that was cool and have a good day! No customer service skills whatsoever. I bet the nice reviews on came from his friends and family. Ahmad needs to take classes on customer service skills.

Oma Shekk: One star cause I can't give a zero. Worst customer service ever. I had a confirmed reservation and they told me they couldn't get me in a vehicle till two days from now, despite my reservation. Keys on the counter and cars in the lot. But someone decided my reservation couldn't get one (lots of excuses for that, but no apologies) Enterprise used to be good. No longer. These folks don't deserve to stay in business.
Trevor Peters: Made a reservation for a car rental, and was called 3 hours before reservation time saying they did not have a car available to me. The only solution provided was to offer me an SUV but at a higher rate than what was reserved. They have vehicles available apparently but would not honor my original rate for a car on their lot. Told me to call around and find a car elsewhere. You honestly can't get much worse customer service than that.

I highly recommend anybody in the triangle area using the RDU location, but specifically in regards to this particular location in downtown Raleigh North Carolina. The customer service is beyond disturbing. The young lady Jasmine was extremely rude and disrespectful from the moment we walked in the door. we were on our way to visit sick family and me, and my pregnant wife who had a previous reservation reserved from three weeks prior walked in from the moment the conversation started she was unbelievably disrespectful to my wife for whatever reason and continued to be what I would consider degrading for the remainder of the conversation because we were having issues with a credit card. when a solution came up and we called the number that she provided to make sure that we were cleared through enterprise to be drivers we were sent an email confirming that we were cleared and ready to pick up the vehicle and that we verified to be able to take it off the lot at that time. She then said that she would not rent us the car even though we had the email confirmation stating that we were approved for the rental and that there was no reason for us to be held back from picking up this rental. We are in the business of customer service as a family , and if any of my employees ever acted even a 10th of the way that this ignorant young woman, these are the lightest words that I would use in referencing this lady. I would have her fired immediately. Again after we confirmed that we were eligible to pick up the vehicle, we were there early to pick up the vehicle payment drivers license were cleared and the corporate office of enterprise specifically sent an email telling her that we were able to pick up the vehicle. She told me my pregnant wife and my two children but she would not rent us the vehicle so we can go see our sick family member.We then reached out to RDU drove out to the RDU location and were treated very well. Did not have to provide any of the information that she was requesting other than the IDs and reference number showing our itinerary and a young gentleman name. Devon was extremely helpful and did outstanding service. She also said that she did not have a manager. I feel like this is worth mentioning because when I reenter the building there was a manager standing right next to her. I made the decision to turn to walk out the door because they did not deserve our money at that point, and I refused and will continue to never use their services again. Once again, this is the enterprise location located in downtown Raleigh, which is stated above this review do not go here unless you want to be treated like trash. In my opinion I think she’s racist because we are a mixed family and I feel like I was discriminated against, she’s lucky that we had the patience to walk out of the building, because with the level of disrespect that she gave our entire family, she deserves much more than just being fired. As far as Rent-A-Car‘s an enterprise goes to RDU location has great service and a great selection , I highly suggest never using this location and I pray that if it’s your last resort you are not standing in front of a woman name Jasmine.At the end of the day everything turned out well thanks to Devon at the Hardy location and we are now although three hours behind schedule due to Jasmine able to take a trip to go see our sick family member and take our children in a comfortable vehicle.
Evan Kinney: Booked a confirmed rental for a pickup truck. I received a call in the morning that the location actually didn’t have any pickup trucks available. Upon calling them back, I was told that 1. the website doesn’t accurately reflect their availability, 2. a confirmed reservation doesn’t mean anything, and 3. they have no ability to check other nearby Enterprise locations for a truck to see if they can fulfill their obligation.I’m then further told that this location actually doesn’t have *any* vehicles available for rent today. And that I’m just as likely to be in the same situation by booking another rental at a nearby location.

Jerome Davis: Took my reservation, then told me when I arrived (on foot) that there was no car available, only a very large pickup truck or an SUV. I said "Okay, I'll take the SUV", to which the MANAGER responded "It's not clean, you'll have to wait." At that point I told her that she was providing terrible service, to which she replied "Then I won't rent you anything at all" and did not. When I called customer service (twice) they promised a call back. Still no call back after 10 days. The provide terrible customer service. Proceed at your own peril.

If the policy changes few weeks ago it becomes basic responsibility of the business owner to inform the customers. This is so unprofessional they tell you when you go to collect the rental car. If you inform earlier plans can be changed atleast.

I responded back asking for some sort of compensation my time wasted, aggravation incurred, overall feeling of being disrespected. Johnathan B. informed the branch that I was requesting compensation for this issue. Jasmine, (Enterprise Branch Manager) did call me the next day but I could not take the call. I called her back and she said there would be no compensation. NO COMPENSATION, NOTHING, NADDA ZIP ZILCH because I did not get a car. ?!?!? YOU DID NOT HAVE A CAR FOR ME TO GET!!! How messed up is that reasoning? I really thought I would be offered some sort of coupon to return so they could prove they do care about their customers, their reputation and take responsibility when they mess up and don't honor a reservation. NOPE, Enterprise, at least at this location, does not care. Jasmine won't honor reservations, and wont try to help a customer when they cause damage. The rental and damage waiver were very affordable, and the pick-up and drop-off processes were quick and straightforward. They didn't have available the category of car I had reserved. But fortunately they did have some good options including something 'better' than what I had reserved but at the same rental rate, so all in all it wasn't a problem. The folks who helped me were very nice and knowledgeable, and the location is convenient for me. I'll be returning next time I want to rent a car. Thanks!

Travis Waller: the vehicle i was given has zero attention to detail from the lack of being cleaned. the inside of the windshield was so nasty i had to stop and clean it before i could drive it. i also had to wait in the lobby for 2 hrs before getting a vehicle and there was only 1 person helping customers.
Shannon Brewer: If I could leave ZERO stars I absolutely would. I currently have a rental that I picked up a week ago due to my car being at a collision center. The morning started with Hertz not arriving to pick me up until 10, when they were supposed to be there at 9:15. The car they picked me up in to take me to the Hertz location was disgusting. There was a biscuit on the floor and crumbs all over the seat I had to sit in. There was film and spilled liquids all over the console of the car. Unsure if this location is using personal cars for transport of passengers or not. The car had an Unlimited Towing parking sticker on it, which is local to Raleigh. Once I got to the location I then had to wait for an hour and a half for a reservation I already had planned for 3 weeks. Finally after waiting for almost 2 hours I received an absolutely disgusting vehicle. There is a horrible smell of cigarettes in the car, causing me to not be able to breathe while driving the vehicle. There are cigarette marks in the seat, crumbs everywhere, buttons do not work, melted spots on the dash?, scratches all over the car and tires that are bald and have spots peeling off of them, and breaks that squeal every time I stop. I have never in my life had such a disgusting rental car and I do not feel safe in the vehicle. Unfortunately the day I picked up the car I had worked night shift overnight the night before and had to return to work that evening, resulting in having absolutely no energy to wait any longer to attempt to get a different car. I have called multiple times and gotten no answer, so I am still stuck with the nasty vehicle until my car is repaired, which will likely be two more weeks. As the rest of the reviews on here demonstrate, management will simply place a generic response and do nothing.

Gurinder Saini (GUS): Actually ZERO stars. On Saturday morning, setup pickup for 11:30 AM for a Tesla Model 3. We had to wait for over 1.5 hours because 2 guys were assisting multiple customers. It seems for each one they had to make multiple trips outside to first select a car do the paperwork and then clear a car and then setup the driver. Then go to next customer. Slowest rental process i have ever seen. After 1.5 hours, came my turn. And they informed me, we DO NOT have a Tesla for you!!! With an after though apology!! Could not believe it. I travel regularly but rarely use neighborhood car rental locations. But never ever experience this. My recommendation, avoid this location if possible. So disappointed.

The agent ‘Drake Broome” did no walkthrough to explain the operation of the car. I stayed in the parking lot for 30 minutes to understand the operation of the vehicle. I was never told I would be billed for any charging since you must have an account to charge Tesla’s. The car did not hold the charge, after 10 minutes the charge dropped from 87% to77%. I called and spoke with the manager “Christopher Browning” who told me I can not switch cars unless I did an upgrade. I argued that that is not valid since I received a defective car and poor customer service. I was then given a base model white Nissan Rogue Sport with scratches on every surface, dents in the door sill and gum on the driver side floor mat. After driving for 75 miles the car said “Malfunction” I was in Fayetteville by the airport and I tried to switch cars at the hertz location. I was told I cannot since allHertz are independently owned and I must contact customer service on my own. I was given no other option but to rent another car and told that would be $1500. I’m done using Hertz!!!
AMOGHA R.B: Plan well ahead to pick the car because you will easily spend hours of time waiting to be served. The delay is too much that they take around 20-25 mins per customer. These people are extremely slow. Never choosing this branch again.
