Taylor Jackson: We couldn’t have imagined a better venue or team to work with for our wedding. Everyone at The Maxwell went above and beyond to help us make our day a success. Due to the weather, we had to move the entire day’s events inside the week of the wedding and they helped make the transition from outside to inside seamless.Immediately after we first toured the venue we knew we wanted to get married here. We can’t say enough great things about it and would highly recommend the venue and team to anyone looking to get married in the area!
Emily Turner: We absolutely loved having our ceremony and reception at The Maxwell. Super beautiful indoor and outdoor spaces (a must for a June wedding in the south), excellent staff, and great vendor relationships that made for smooth planning and day-of coordination. Important reasons we went with them: indoor ceremony AND reception spaces, great getting ready room for the ladies, and excellent bar packages. And of course, the beautiful white background that served as a blank canvas for our vision. Highly recommend The Maxwell!

The venue was clean and prepared for us when we arrived at 11:00. Tova was the best wedding coordinator you could hope for. Throughout the process, she was friendly, helpful, upbeat, organized, and professional. Our very experienced photographers said she was one of the best coordinators that they had ever worked with. The bar staff was also friendly and helpful. The venue was beautiful, and we can’t wait to get our photographs! We would absolutely recommend be The Maxwell and Tova to family and friends!
Paige Sikora: We LOVED our wedding at The Maxwell! The venue is stunning and a beautiful blank canvas for whatever your wedding vision might be. All of the staff was professional and so wonderful to work with, they made the day run smoothly and there were no issues throughout the day that I needed to be made aware of. We are so so pleased that we decided to book The Maxwell. Many of our guests commented about how lovely and clean the venue is and I love the modern aesthetic. Also, the outside green space and white brick make for gorgeous photo backdrops! We can’t wait to get our pictures back and I will share some here when we do!

Ina Lui: We had our wedding at the Maxwell with Tova as our coordinator and it was the best choice we could have made for our wedding. Everyone said that wedding planning is stressful, but with Tova by our side, my partner and I enjoyed the entire planning process. Everyone we interacted with on the day of our wedding was absolutely lovely and so fun and made our day even more special. In addition to the wonderful team at the Maxwell, the venue is absolutely beautiful (the pictures speak for themselves!). The Maxwell is truly a canvas you can make your own and we were so impressed with its ability to transform into the vision we wanted (we were even able to have our dog included in the ceremony, which meant the world to us!). Everything about the day and the planning process was perfect and would highly recommend having your special day here and highly recommend Tova as your coordinator! Truly one of the best experiences my partner and I had and it was all thanks to Tova, the lovely Maxwell Team, and the beautiful venue!
Nicole Hill: We got married at The Maxwell last week and we could not recommend the venue more! From the beginning, the staff was wonderful to work with. I had multiple questions throughout the process and they always worked with us for a solution. Sometimes you fear always hearing "no" to ideas but that was not the case. The venue itself is beautiful and we were able to make it our own. We got so many compliments on the space and were glad to be able to do everything (ceremony + reception) in one spot. The wedding faces the altar and doors, because of the minimalist look the door stoppers were in the pictures of the couple during the ceremony.

Our guests were all from out of state and we needed a venue with easy access to downtown Raleigh. Our guests were very appreciative of the short shuttle ride and the fact that the ceremony, cocktail hour and reception all took place at the same location.The staff at the Maxwell were top notch. Not only was everyone so helpful, they were accommodating and flexible to ensure our vision came to life. We did a few “out of the norm” things, and they were more than willing to make all our wishes come true.

Jillian Whittaker: The Maxwell is an incredible place to have your wedding! The venue itself is beautiful, and it is truly a blank slate that you can turn into whatever you want. The outdoor area is perfect for cocktail hour and for guests to relax during the reception. I will say, the number 1 perk of the Maxwell is the staff. Everyone that works there is helpful, professional, and kind. We worked specifically with Tova for day-of coordination and she was better than we could have ever hoped for. Tova stayed calm and took care of whatever we needed. We did most of the planning leading up to the day, but I didn't have to think about any coordination details once we got to the venue on the day of the wedding. Tova handled everything that my husband, family, and I needed. She was not only incredibly helpful, but was also really nice and great to be around. I could go on and on about how great Tova was all day, but I also want to shout out the assistant coordinator, and bartending team. Everyone was great! I am so glad that we chose the Maxwell as our venue and I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

Skye Dillon: Spectacular car; incredible customer service; unforgettable experienceThis year my dad turned 70. His favorite car is the ‘66 Shelby Cobra, and his dream had always been to drive one. Thomas and Debbie at Wedding & Event Cars helped make his dream come true. When coordinating the rental plan, I shared with them the inspiration behind it. Their service throughout the process leading up to the big day was prompt and friendly, always explaining different options and recommendations for our booking in full detail. I’m not a car expert by any means, so this assistance was very much appreciated. When we picked up the car, they had a special gift bag prepared for my dad to commemorate the big day. While Thomas oriented my dad and I to the car, Debbie recorded photos and videos to document the memory for us. We enjoyed a full day with the car and feel like we made two new friends in the process. The car itself is a sight to behold, fully restored, stunning quality. It felt like we were on a movie set all day driving it! I would HIGHLY recommend Wedding & Event Cars. Thomas and Debbie went above and beyond to customize our rental day and cultivate a lifelong memory.

Thomas Young: We rented a car from Thomas and Debbie for our twin boys middle school graduation. Because of the pandemic, the school could not have an indoor celebration. So the school organized a drive through celebration. Not only did we rent the Jaguar, Thomas was so kind to chauffeur the boys through the celebration. Thomas and Debbie provided us with a once in a lifetime memory. They even gave each of my boys a graduation gift. The Jaguar was a beautiful car and was in immaculate condition. Lydia Cato: WOW!! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Market Hall in May 2023, and we cannot say enough good things about them!!! The venue and the staff were absolutely incredible. From the sales director Kristen and the account manager Samantha to the bartending and catering staff- everyone was beyond amazing. We felt so special on our wedding day, because of how attentive, helpful, friendly, and kind everyone was.Market Hall had EXCELLENT communication with us starting from the very first time we toured the venue. We really appreciated their email reminders/check-ins and communication throughout our planning process. We felt so supported! Management was always quick to return our e-mails anytime we had questions.Obviously, the setting of Market Hall in City Market, across from Moore Square, is breathtaking- but the building, furniture provided, and details (beautiful string lighting inside as well as in the streets surrounding the venue) are gorgeous as well.It was important to us to find a venue that had getting ready areas for both the bride AND the groom. Market Hall has 2 separate suites ON SITE, for both the bride and the groom. Not only do they provide space for getting ready- but they also provide drinks and lunch for the bridal parties before the event.As for the food- WOW! They make the best shrimp & grits that I have ever had. We received SO many compliments from our guests who shared that Market Hall has the best wedding food they have ever had. They have unique and delicious food/appetizer offerings that aren't your "typical" basic wedding food offerings- they were all so amazing and memorable.We have continued to receive compliments from friends and family who continue to share what a special and amazing experience they had here.Thank you again to everyone at Market Hall!

Veronica De La Rosa - Clark: Fantastic venue for a party in downtown Raleigh. We attended a wedding reception there, and everything was perfect.
Rose Bequet: Market Hall staff kept us on track during the planning process and made everything seamless for my parents 35th Anniversary Party. Food was excellent! Bar service was OUTSTANDING (major props to the bartenders - they were friendly, engaging with the guest, and all around wonderful). Food was on time and delicious - our guests especially loved the oyster bar! Really everything was perfect!

Mark Ramsey: Shelley was great in all aspects of organization. From choosing the right floor layout, to ensuring the theflow of the event, everything was great from an organizational perspective. Being able to taste the food before the event ensured we were confident in the menu we were providing to guests. The venue itself was perfect for our holiday party, especially having a space for a cocktail hour before. Overall this was a great event and the market hall staff were very professional. Communication was great and they ensured that we had everything we needed. The food was beyond amazing and the venue itself was tastefully decorated for the holidays.

Communication during the planning process was thorough and clear, and my emails were always answered promptly. I enjoyed having the opportunity to have a couple of video planning calls, it made it much more personal and gave me great confidence in the execution of the event. It was also fantastic to have access to the event portal to review and make adjustments to the floorplan as needed. Definitely recommend!

Stephanie Milosh: I've had the opportunity to work at Market Hall in Downtown Raleigh a number of times through the years, and I love how each couple is able to transform the space and make it their own. The neutral colors and industrial vibe are a blank canvas, and the wooden divider wall between ceremony and reception space is a beautiful backdrop. The dressing suites are comfortable and the venue includes food for the wedding parties. The food from the in-house caterers are always incredible, and the photo opportunities in surrounding downtown are endless - plus, everyone loves the cobblestone road right outside! Always happy to plan weddings in this beautiful venue.

Kristen was wonderful in the beginning when we were looking for a perfect venue for our company event and answered any questions or concerns I had really quickly, and was just awesome with providing information about the venue. The person who was integral to our event's success though was Katie, the event manager at Market Hall, who we worked with as the event date got closer. She was efficient, informative, responsive and patient, and offered us great ideas as to how we could make our event run more smoothly or look more beautiful. On the day of, we were missing a podium and she miraculously had one appear before our event started, she answered every annoying text question I sent her at 6am that morning, knew everything about the crazy parking situation downtown, and just had everything covered wonderfully and made our lives so much easier on the event day. Also, the venue is GORGEOUS, the staff were kind and efficient, and many of our guests came up to tell us how amazing the food was. I can't say enough good things about this venue. The best experience possible.

The setup was lovely and the location was breathtaking. My BFF was overwhelmed with happiness and we enjoyed some much need bonding time. I would absolutely recommend.

The location at Fred Fletcher park was so nice, the food was great, and our photographer, Hollie, was the best. The communication was fantastic. From the moment we arrived until the time we left was tranquil and so peaceful! The picnic setup was Gorgeous! From Flowers... to pillows... Our event planner Kristin was so sweet and the flowers she arranged were picture Perfect and almost week later still alive! I highly recommend them!

John MIller: Our family had an absolutely wonderful time with our picnic. We chose to go to Dorothea Dix Park and the location at the park we had was very quite and peaceful, We were able to see the city skyline which was nice but the way it was set up everything was facing the other direction. We did opt in for a photography session and our photographer was extremely nice and patient with our energetic son. The charcuterie all tasted great! There was a croquet set there for us to play with which my son had a fun time with. The only thing i would do differently is to choose a different time of the year as we did melt in the heat but that had nothing to do with the service we received. We would certainly use this service again at a different time of the year.
