Paul Docton: Seems like it was a pretty good shop 2 years ago. I sent in a Request for Quote, didn't hear back for a week, so I walked in, took 15 minutes to even find another human. Got a quote, and approved it directly over the phone. Waited 2 weeks, called to check on the order, they had not even started. They claimed to have sent an e-mail for quote approval, but after an extensive search of spam and deleted items, the e-mail was nowhere to be found, I guess they couldn't bother with a phone call. Then they couldn't commit to an ETA for the parts I need. This is the most disorganized business I've ever had the displeasure of walking into. I'd recommend staying away!!

Mr. Hamilton personally took care of it with an incredibly reasonable price for fast, neat work. Definitely my go-to machine shop in the Raleigh area. The shop cat is adorable too.
Vaettr: Mr. Hamilton is a busy man, but the work he does is impeccable. He worked with me (an individual, not a business) on a threaded adapter with very specific ID/OD sizes to make a new shift knob work for my car. Specifically, the threaded adapter for the two sizes I needed exists nowhere else, so this was a "from scratch" project. Needless to say, I am extremely satisfied and would recommend him to anyone else. Pic related.

Sure, I could've used a step-drill bit and drill-press at home, but if it wasn't perfectly centered it would trash a $100 spinner. Not only is it the cleanest machine shop I have seen in a long time, but the owner and the machinist who produced my parts both seem extremely dedicated to their craft.We plan to continue to use this shop to produce both revisions to our current pieces, and an additional project slated for later this year.
Luis Lopez: Absolutely Terrible!Person I spoke to was initially rude over the phone but took it to a whole other level in person. When I came into his "office", I made the mistake of calling a vice grip a wrench. He proceeded to smugly correct me in the most condescending manner possible. After that, he rudely told me to sit down because I was invading his personal space when trying to show him the item I wanted made. But that's not the end of it, oh no... While he was trying to estimate the cost of making the part, I was looking at pricing myself over my phone. When he finished, he told me to stop playing with my phone and put it down. He then had the audacity to tell me that I was being rude! The situation worsened when he told me the estimated price of the part. It was ridiculously expensive, in fact, it was 5 times more expensive than what I had paid for it. I tried to resolve the issue by telling him I could sketch the item so that he would not have to waste time doing so, to which he responded "why didn't you bring the sketches with you now" in an extremely annoyed voice. By that time I was more then fed up with him and decided to leave, but he would not let me until I answered his questions. I told him I did not have to answer his questions and left.If you want to be treated like an incompetent child, have more money than sense, and like fat obnoxious men, this is the place to go.
