I have triple teen drivers and needed a higher level of help to make sure they are prepared for real world driving. Carolina Road Driving School offered a flexible schedule (we trained over Labor Day weekend) and sent out one of the best instructors on the subject I have ever had the pleasure to meet. He was patient, personable and connected immediately with each of the teens. Not only was I comfortable with him and the safety of my children, my teens could not wait for their next lesson. I highly recommend the Carolina Road Driving School if you are looking for a one-on-one experience that will train your teens the way a parent would. My kids are worth it.


We were so pleased with Carolina road driving school. We used Jordan driving for our daughter last year and switched to Carolina for our son this year. What a difference. The driving instructor was so thorough and taught my son how to parallel park and do a three point turn. My daughter had never even heard of a three point turn let alone be taught how to do it. Carolina Road was much more thorough and organized. The instructor came right to our house and with Jordan driving we had to take her to them. We also had our class instruction and was called to drive within four weeks. I can not recommend them enough. Very professional and accommodating.

We had a great experience with Carolina Road Driving School. Casey in the office was super helpful and the instructors are great. My son did classes in person & just completed the driving person with Mr. Boes. He really enjoyed talking to Mr. Boes and learned a lot. He was very patient and is a great instructor. The pandemic created an unprecedented situation with Drivers Ed and as a result Carolina Driving, as well as all the other driving schools, have been crazy busy for the last year. We are so thankful that Carolina Driving School could accommodate our son so that he could complete his driving portion of Drivers Ed. His instructor was Mr. Boes who was so sweet and so communicative. My son learned a lot and really enjoyed his time with Mr. Boes.

I have to say that my son's experience with Mr. Boes was excellent. In conversation with my son, it clearly shows Mr. Boes was very patience and detailed with him. He loved it and was very comfortable with the driving class! As a parent, our conversation was great as Mr. Boes explained his training and thought process both prior to departure and upon the return trip. I would highly recommend Carolina Road Driving School and especially Mr. Boes! He is a great instructor! Thanks!

My son just drove with Mr. Boes, he was amazing! My son was of course a little nervous and had some anxiety! Mr. Boes was so kind and patient. He also has a great sense of humor. I had a great experience with my learning lessons. I had no driving experience before and took 6 lessons and got my license! My instructor was Mr.Bruce which is super patient, expert and encouraging. He is helpful and skillful. I could definitely recommend Carolina Road Driving School to my friend and of course Mr.Bruce.

As an older learner (NYC people are most likely to learn late due to the expansive ability to travel the expanse of the state without a car), I absolutely love Mr. Bruce's style. He is relaxed, he converses and instructs to make you feel like you are seasoned. His style has a way of making you feel like you can regain control over the vehicle especially when you make a mistake which would unnerve you! Please keep him for as long as you can, I will be seeking him again when it comes to more lessons, and I will be back here to let you know about me gaining my license because of his skillful, personable way. He is one of the Masters!!!

2020 Racing Academy is led by instructor Ike De Jager, winner of three World Vet MX Championships, most recently in the 70+ class. Ike’s past students include Les Smith, Broc Tickle and PJ Larson.


2020 Racing Academy is designed to introduce the highest standard of education to the new generation of MX, Dirt-Bike, ATV and Road-Bike Riders.


A beginner course designed to introduce basic off-road techniques with a focus on developing responsible riding strategies. This program is taught on a closed range course.


2020 Racing Academy offers private, semi-private and group training sessions covering the fundamentals of motocross or dirt-bike riding including control, guidance and rider safety training.


A dirt experience tailored towards control and track riding. Lessons are developed specifically to help riders improve their street and track performance.


Using a master the dirt-first approach, this program will teach you the skills needed to navigate back roads and trails safely.

Meet IKE DE JAGER – Principal trainer for the 2020 Racing Academy. Ike has been riding and racing motorcycles for over 35 years.

Training with Ike de Jager was one of the best investments I made in preparation for Mongolia. Over 1200km riding through bogs and sand, over endless steppe and river crossings, the skills I learned under his expert instruction kept me safe and insured that I delivered the Yamaha AG200 to my Mongolian ranger. His instruction also meant that I had a damn good time on the journey as well.

Ike, this last weekend that Larry and I spent with you in the intermediate dirt riding course at the North Carolina Motorsports Park in Henderson was a total blast! Your masterful instruction led to adventure riding that I had hoped would be the end product of the weekend. You struck the ideal balance for me between rigor and an easy-going, supportive manner, always with safety in the forefront. As a retired teacher, I appreciated the way you complemented practical instruction and drills with explanation of the physics of the operation and behavior of the motorcycle so that I could understand the why and how of the skills to be learned. I will definitely consider coming back to see you for advanced instruction down the road.

I just wanted to say thank you again for the class today. I learned a lot of valuable skills and it was an honor and a pleasure to learn from one of the best. I was able to accomplish a lot of things today that I thought were above my skill level, but Ike’s teaching style and persistence made all the difference in the world. I know Josh and Mason had a blast as well. I would have loved to have stayed later, but it was just too hot for me. I wasn’t sure I was going to make it past lunch, but I pulled through. Thanks again for your hospitality and I hope we can have the pleasure of riding with the two of you again in the near future (when the temps are more mild!)
