Raleigh Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?
Jessica Smith: Make this make sense…my granny had back surgery 4 days ago, and was transferred here. They didn’t have any kind of pain meds, OR EVEN A WALKER for her!! We are not allowing her to stay in this mediocre. They won’t even give us a wheelchair to get her out of here! We have to bring our own wheelchair to get her out of here. DO NOT SEND YOUR FAMILY MEMBERS HERE!!
Bashier Sroosh: I suggest,Raleigh Rehab is a wonderful building the staff are very friendly and the residents seem to be very happy. I met the administrator Momin who is a very polite man who has an open door policy and answered all my questions about nursing home.
Ruby Amagwula: My stay at Raleigh Rehab was one of the best I've been to so far. 2nd floor staff was very good. 👍🏿👍👍🏿👍👍🏿🙏🏽 Thumbs up!!!!
Wheelchairwilli: Raleigh Rehab, doesn't respect the patients rights or in general. Just recently they have a outbreak of Covid-19 currently in the facility. Some of us are almost finished with quarantine, the facility decides to put other patients with covid in the same at the Directors orders. We were never advised that they were going to do that. It would of been nice to be informed. But they don't Caras long as they can get any new patients in. According to the Director she is doing everything according to CDC guidelines. I feel that my rights and health has been ignored at the expense of money. My honest opinion of Raleigh Rehab is the Nursing staff is good. So are the therapy department. However both the Kitchen staff and The Director both are poor at best they hurt the facility overall both needs to be changed.
maura clavin: This place is a NIGHTMARE! Do not go or send loved ones here. I was transferred here after major surgery for a broken femur and spent 7.5 hours alone in a room with none of my transferred heart, pain and other meds administered. Finally had Instacart deliver, food, water, and Tylenol. After asking for help from staff multiple times then falling, I had to call 911 from my cell phone to be transported back to hospital ER. DON'T GO HERE!!!None of the staff (that I barely saw) wore gloves of any kind. The "house" doctor came in to show me how to use the television, then looked at my incisions with gloves he took out of his pants pocket!
MS.E MS.E: Please don’t work here the nurses are Rude and evil.. such a hostile work environment. They need to clean house get rid of the nurses they have and bring in some new ones. Because the nurses they have keep running away any newly hired nurses
bbudacious: Beware of the left behind floor. 3rd floor. I was told about this. I shortly found out.
Gwendolyn Clemons: My mom is currently here after having a mini stroke. She was previously at another facility (after leaving had the stroke the very nextday)..Since my mother has been here she has made process that I haven't seen from her previous stay .This is the true definition of a Rehab. Staff is very friendly from administration to the house keeping staff.
diana malloy: Being in Florida it has been so disturbing to hear that my niece had a debilitating stroke, but fortunately the staff at Raleigh Rehab, where she has been since January, is so cooperative and caring. They keep myself and her sister, who also lives in N.C. tho in the Wilmington area, informed as to her condition and answer any questions we might have. Most of all we can never thank their Business Manager, Danielle Morgan, enough for her assistance in leading us through the many nuances of insurances and all that is involved relative to my niece's care. It has been a difficult journey for us but are so thankful to Raleigh's staff for making it a little easier.
MzEbony 204: So let me just start by saying that having a ill parent can take a toll on a family and especially a toll on a single child who is trying to make the best decision they can when it comes to the care their parent may receive when they become ill and need to be placed in a facility. With that being said trying to get anything done, questions answered from this facility is absolutely horrible. I read the previous reviews and I am trying to figure out how anybody would give this facility a 4 or 5 star rating. I will admin there are some social workers, and front desk employees whom seem to care about their job, but the nurses NO. Every time I came to visit my father they were sitting at the desk the hall would be lit up with call lights and they simply wouldn't answer them. My thought was wow what if it was an actual emergency how would they respond?? My father would holler for nurses to come and they would simply shut the door, which infuriated me, because if he is hollering he needed their assistance in some kind of way. Their solution was to have him evaluated by psych, instead of trying to assess his needs because they did not want to deal with him. I pulled my father out of this facility and took him home, and after he was discharged....no response from the director of nursing on his after discharge care, he needed physical and occupational therapy, and also a prior authorization for him to get his prescription filled. I called the director of nursing several times to try and get this resolved no response. just inconsiderate and unprofessional. My advise avoid this facility and if your loved one is placed here be prepared to check on them consistently because God knows they will be neglected.
Scott Kehn: Extremely satisfied with this facility. My Dad has been to multiple Skilled Nursing Facilities for rehab in the last year, and suffice it to say, Raleigh Rehab is in an entirely different class than any of the others. My Dad's typical report for any given facility, on an average day, is just a litany of complaints (and often rightfully so.) But at this facility, he has had almost nothing but compliments. The few issues he has had, have been handled quickly and efficiently. What really makes this place is the staff, which is is incredible. For the most part, our typical experience at nursing facilities have been staffs that are generally curt, lethargic, borderline apathetic, and difficult to get ahold of (sometimes even ghost-like.) The staff at Raleigh Rehab is the exact opposite in all regards. The day of admission I was met with an avalanche of employees (in a good way,) giving me the lay of the land, explaining treatment plans, therapy goals, policies etc, and answering any and all questions we had. Every employee I have encountered has been energetic, professional, and hard working. And persistently so. A very refreshing departure from the norm at many of these facilities, where most employees seem like they'd rather be anywhere else.Gotta call out Jackie, the admin, who is an absolute superstar, handling everything from administrative issues like scheduling appointments, visits, or policy discussions, all the way down to checking in on my Dad for no reason at all, wheeling him around the facility, running things up to his room etc. She is a Jackie of all trades. I do not know where she finds the energy. She is always extremely easy to get ahold of, and very reliably handles any issues we run into.Danielle, the business manager, has provided (for the first time in my experience,) clear, and decisive answers to many questions that have gone largely unanswered by just about all previous business management and social worker employees at other facilities and even hospitals we've been to. I cannot tell you how refreshing it is to have clarity and confidence on some of the very intricate processes we've had to navigate (like applying for Medicaid, for instance.) It's obvious she is very experienced, and really knows her stuff.PT and OT are incredible. Most SNFs my Dad has been to, the therapy is hit or miss, and pretty minimal. Somedays he gets it. Some days not. Usually it entails simply going through the motions with no clear goals. Meanwhile at Raleigh Rehab, it's not an exaggeration to say that therapy is their top priority (given it's the reason he's there,) and everything else is subservient to the therapy schedule (short of emergencies or critical medical appointments.) Literally within 20 minutes of admission, I was already having an extensive conversation with Felino (the PT-ist) about the goals and the plan. And since then, the therapists have kept me informed and updated with specific and quantifiable goals, progress reports, and treatment plans. The nursing staff has been excellent. Competent, friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. And the nursing manager, Angie, really knows her stuff, pays close attention to patients, and is very good with communication. On that note, one of the most standout things about this facility so far is that the staff is not only very easy to reach, but is actually proactive about keeping my family up to date and informed. It's so nice not to have to chase people down, and to always be in the know. The three or so weeks my Dad has been here have been a fantastic experience, and night & day compared to other facilities he's been to. We've grown to trust the staff (didn't take long, ) and we enjoy peace of mind that my Dad is in good hands, is comfortable, safe, and dare I say, generally happy. Definitely not something that comes easy for him in Skilled Nursing Facilities. I could go on all day, but the takeaway is, if you have a family member looking for skilled nursing rehab, and you are given a bed offer at Raleigh Rehab, I'm telling you, take it.
Lisa McK: Our family member has been in Skilled Nursing at RRC for almost 5 years. While an older facility, the administrator, Jackie and her staff have made incredible strides to make RRC the best it can be over the last several years. The PT staff is excellent, and the love & care the Nursing Staff in particular have shown to our family member are appreciated! During the lockdown that COVID19 brought, our questions & concerns were handled in a timely manner. We appreciate everything the staff at RRC does!
Sara Wall: My father was admitted to RRC and has been receiving top-notch nursing care as he is nearing end of life. It's not been an easy situation dealing with a loved one who is transitioning, but the RRC team has been nothing but helpful, kind, and responsive. They do a great job at keeping us up to date on any changes with my Dad. They are also incredibly responsive, allowing my sister and I to schedule Compassion Visits with my Dad during this tough time. Everyone we speak to is warm and welcoming, and extremely supportive when it comes to navigating options and support for my Dad.While we have been impressed with our interactions with the staff, I feel confident that my Dad does as well. So much so that he asks my sister and I to bring gifts such as milkshakes for the CNAs and nurses that care for him. He knows them by name and speaks lovingly about them.
Will Rogers: As a marketer of this facility I openly share the value added in an in-patient stay with Raleigh Rehabilitation Center; the staff is caring, hard working and efficient in providing care and support for its residents. The therapist are knowledgeable and consistent, nursing leadership is strong and focused the Executive Director is alert, attentive to compliance and determined to make this the #1 facility in Wake County. All nursing homes are similar in services; however, customer service, patient care and efficiency of service sets this facility apart. If you need short or long-term care give us a call and let us show you how Awesome we are!!!
EJ Datts: Horrible place to work if you value your license as an RN, if you want to be overworked, or if you value peoples lives, this is not the place for you.
Top Bizzy: I don’t not recommend ‼️‼️‼️ My mom has been there for 4 Days and has fell off of her bed twice even though we told them she can’t walk and she is fall risk and they didn’t put rails on her bed until after she had already fell off., she doesn’t eat beef or pork but they also took chicken off of her diet so she wasn’t getting meat at all and they leave 1 pampers on her ALL NIGHT. She’s leaving ASAP .im a Public figure and I will take this as far as I have to (and we can’t go in for 2 weeks because of COVID so I can’t even go inside the building for 2nweeks)
Marquite Mitchell: My friends mother is currently at this rehab center due to a minor surgery resulting in a stroke and them having to make the decision to move their mother at Raleigh Rehab center. Since my friends mother stay, she has not had the proper hygiene tools such as toothbrush and toothpaste in a closed setting. They have been opened and exposed to the whatever germs lingering around. ROACHES have been in their mothers food, mold has been found in the bathroom in the sink as well as behind the toilet. My friends name on Faceook is Emani' Monee. PLEASE GO LOOK AND SEE THE PICS THAT GO ALONG WITH THIS REVIEW!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!! LEGAL ACTION HAS BEEN TAKEN!
Jameca Luckett: I enjoy being a staff here at Raleigh rehabilitation I started as a CNA and transition over to a nurse. The staff is great and teamwork and communication is outstanding and that combo gives our residents quality care. We strive for the best and our out come is excellent service for our residents.
Angie Holloman: Raleigh Rehab has been my work “home” for the past 5 years. We are making wonderful progress ensuring this facility is a great place to work and an excellent home for our residents.
Dee Williams: UPDATE:This facility is trending in magnificent ways! The location is in the heart of an upscale neighborhood, with ample parking including covered parking accommodations. I am most impressed with the current staff. The new Administrator, Sekeithia Jones has an made some dramatic positive improvements since my last review six months ago. During her three- four month administration, I have seen increased patient engagement, this administrator is hands -on, she assists the staff and patients by helping to feeding patients, she has increasing family participation by hosting Town Hall Meetings, and reducing agency staff to ensure committed continuity of care! The Staff Development Coordinator EJ provided staff and residents with a mobile in-house Flu Shot Clinic. The Activities Director Linda exudes enthusiasm for the residents by ensuring each resident feels cherished and motivated in the various creative activities provided daily. The collaboration between Bethany of Human Resources, Staff Development and Administrator are on point. I see more smiles and camaraderie among the staff. This facility utilizes EMAR Electronic Medication Administration Record, has highly trained nurses that competently work to their full scope of practice and can successfully treat complex surgical wounds.Patients and Residents are seen by a physician within 24 hours after admissions and those requiring ancillary care are provided weekly visits by board certified Wound Nurse Practitioner, Psychologist and Psychiatric. Social Work assessment are conducted, and both the long term and short-term patients are provided with vision, dental and podiatry care as well as safe proper care plans for those being discharged. The Therapy staff PT, OT and SLP is amazing!I continue to stand by my recommendation:Should a loved one require assistance via therapy, skilled nursing or long-term care, this facility has the caring knowledgeable dedicated staff, clean and well-maintained space, sophisticated equipment and technology to exceed expectations! It is truly evident that the entire staff from the Administrator to Housekeeping considers each patient/resident important by answering call bells quickly to reassure patient/resident they matter most!
Rekha Manoj: Great rehab team who is very passionate about patient care and has excellent rehab outcomes.Dedicated staff that works hard every day to provide quality care to improve our residents life .

Litchford Falls Nursing & Rehabilitation Center: what do users think?
Maria Anderson: My mother has been a resident of Litchford Falls Nursing and Rehabilitation Center since January 2023, following a hospital stay. The level of care and service bestowed upon my mother my the staff has been second to none. I can rest easy knowing that my mom is receiving top notch care in this facility.
Eddie Fernando: There is a reason this place has terrible reviews. I had a poor experience dealing with this facility. Admission staff is unprofessional and disorganized. When you visit you will notices stacks of boxes everywhere and patients unattended. Rooms are dirty and the entire facility needs an overhaul.
Rich Gallagher: If you care for your loved one - RUN…Staff is light, someone was screaming for help, screaming please help & wasn’t getting attention. We raised a concern about our love one & Litchford staff said not to worry, we requested a Dr., Dr., immediately sent him to the hospital - herniated stomach no substance in ostomy bag ALL day, & Litchford staff was ok with that and was willing to wait for the morning. Also, the bed broke and almost dumbed our love one onto the floor. Bed / motor became separated, dumping the person in the bed to one side, feet downward, in one quick motion which caused the person to almost roll out the bed and onto the floor - no side rails either!!! Scary place for just 1.5 day stay. What else would we of found if we stayed any longer?
Kayla Allen: If you care about the well-being of your loved one, have care for them at home with an in-home nurse. They will lose the clothes the are washing that belongs to the client. They missed feeding my family member, luckily enough I stay close to bring her food. The nurses aren’t prompt when the client has to go to the bathroom. They don’t properly shower the client. They will go date without being bathed. A few nurses mentioned to my family member to use the bathroom on herself when she was not comfortable doing so. Someone in the facility mentioned to her that they don’t typically send clients like her home. Tuh, she was ready to go home. These nurses need to go through integrated treatment training. They do not care about the well-being of the client in their care. All the clients eat it pork and high saturated trans fat foods (omega 6 food), which is detrimental to anyone’s health. How can these people thrive and be happy under these conditions and lack of care. Failing health care! Biggest scamming business in the country.
Aubin: I honestly do not know where to begin. If you can afford to send your family member or loved one elsewhere, please do so. Please.
Jenny Kelvington: The staff at Litchford Rehab is the best! We highly recommend this place for elderly patients. My 87 year old dad has been here 10 days so far and thinks he is at a resort because of the excellent service and care. One of the male caregivers even offered to cut his hair tonight. This place far exceeds our expectations.
roz arnold: I was deeply skeptical about any rehab/nursing facility for my loved one, thankfully I was pleasantly surprised. It’s not the Ritz, patients are gravely ill, but I never had to make a complaint, maybe because we advocated for my loved one daily. The food is cafeteria like, only one person dispenses meds, so know that. Have someone visit frequently , talk to staff, ask questions. Be there, pay attention on your loved one’s behalf. This is a tough job for staff and often low wages, don’t expect to Ritz. It was clean and people showed us respect. Advocate. Advocate. Communicate.
victoria boyette: If I could give this place a lower review I would! I am a CNA and my great grandfather was place here so he could do PT I’ve never been more enraged by an establishment in my entire life my grandfather called for a bed pan the nurse walked in and told him he had a diaper on to use it they treated him like he was incompetent mind you he is sound of mind and has no mental deficit. I will be contacting as many high up official in this business to try and prevent this from further happening to other patients as a person who works in the medical profession every way they treated him was Unprofessional and quite frankly disgusting I’ve never been more upset with a facility in my life.
Cynthia Richardson: If I could give less than this I would. My mom has been there less than 48hours and we are moving her. Day 1- My mom arrived at 12:30 my mom's hospice nurse came to check on her at 8:00pm she had not been changed. My mom is on a pureed diet they dropped a regular plate off in her room. Lucky I was there and I looked at it. I had to let them know , my mother also needs to be fed they just left the plate there. Luckily I was there. Day 2 I arrived mid day to check on my mom , and I came back later at 5 to check on my mom. Again, she had not been changed. I changed my mom myself , and I asked the nurse for a sharpie. She asked why I said I want to mark on my moms diaper the time and date. I said this happened last night. The assistant said well the hospice nurse changed her, and I informed her she did it because you didn't. I let my hospice nurse know that I was not pleased , and that I did not see my moms patch for pain on her. Her Nurse arrived shortly after , she let me know that she counted my mothers pills the night before so she would know if they had given her medicine. When the hospice nurse came my mother had the same amount of pills in her bottle that she had the night before. They had not given her medicine all day long. Nothing.... I am completely dumbfounded. When I left the front door entrance was propped open with a trash can so much for ringing the bell to get in or keeping people from wandering out. If you care anything about your loved one don't leave them here.
The Femme Collection: I wouldn’t recommend working here or interviewing here. The short experience I had here alone here was awful. The receptionist was very nice from the phone call to meeting her in person. But the DON was very nasty, rude, distasteful. CNA’s please go take your certification somewhere where you will be appreciated and most importantly respected:
Al Carter: Turn around time for call button. An hour some times.Stuck on potty for an hour after call button pulled.Food served lukewarm at best.
Joann Elicona (Jo): KAYLA RAYNE VAUGHN as a spokesperson for this Nursing & Rehab Center has OPENLY spoken on live video that the staff here are NOT vaccinated & prefer patients to die so they can not procreate more RETARDS! Her word not mine. I find this beyond appalling. One may want to reconsider this facility.
Cheryl Coates: This place requires 24 hours notice to make an appointment to see a resident. However, it is extremely difficult to do this over the phone because no one answers the ONLY number available to call. Multiple phone attempts have been made over the last 2 days to call the number given but no one answers.
William Blain: The Owners of this Nursing Home needs to look into one of their staff members, Kayla Vaughn and find out WHY she is spreading misinformation and saying that the President of the United States should be dead.
NayaaNicole !: Awful all staff needs to be fired I hope Kayla gets sick and struggles with her life
Kel Hinkle: Absolutely no regard for human life from the staff. Openly speaking as a representative for the company, their employee reiterates how little they care if people die.
Chris James: Has an employee by the name of Kayla who says very inappropriate stuff online, don't recommend going here because of her
PC J: 👎👎👎
OMG Reptar: You have a nurse there by the name of Kayla Vaughn that finds enjoyment in the death of people. All you need to do is search her name on the internet and you will find the video. I would hope that you find a way to terminate her employment as she works with very vulnerable people.
Jessica Brown: I had a short time to find a place for mama in October 2020. Because of covid the list was snall. I did my research and put her here. I can not ask for better care. They are excellent. I sleep well knowing my mom is in good hands.
Glenn Myers: Very outdated facility with mediocre customer service shown to visitors. Staff are clearly not trained in being courteous to family members visited their loved ones. The first impression when you enter Litchford Falls Nursing is the shabby lobby with a plastic storage box and small table (mostly unmanned)and all manner of flyers taped on the walls and even the mirror. “Professionals” who “manage” should be ashamed of themselves. Has any of the managers thought about creating a professional looking welcome lobby for the public or at least go to OfficeMax and buy a bulletin board to display all the flyers. If ever a nursing home needed staff training in customer service Litchford Falls Nursing is it,Visitation is not pleasant where they have the resident and you sit outside in the noisy traffic despite the facility having an interior courtyard.Yesterday we waited a half hour to see our family member even though the visit was scheduled for 6:00 pm. The nurse refused to allow us to see our family member’s room.If you are looking for a nursing home (and most of them stink) don’t use this one until they improve.2

Universal Healthcare/North Raleigh: what do users think?
Tonya Alston: The workers are very respectful and understanding thank you
Rashika Mann: Great facility! Everyone was professional and knowledgeable of the situation! I recommend this facility to anyone whom needs it!
Marianne J. Mansour: One of the worst places you can send someone you love. The nurses sit around doing nothing, they don't respond to the patients who need help. The place has so many violations, I don't know why Wake County doesn't shut them down.
Jennifer Boles: Director of nursing. Rude . Un caring. More concerned about how many patient are in censorus than how many are being cared for properly. 17 patients to 1 aide is unacceptable. Patients ring call bells for long periods of time . Facility has unpleasant odors. Always short-staffed. Patient to aide ratio Not good. No appreciation to the aides that do their job properly.
Mary Prevatt: Marjorie I like many people have recieved exceptional care from you. I wanted you to know that I really mean it when I call you M'lady, I mean I love you and it is not just lip service. Your smiles and encouraging words lift me up so much. YOU ONLY NEED TO WALK IN THE ROOM, AND I KNOW WHAT I NEED WILL BE TAKEN CARE OF QUICKLY.Thank you and much llove,Mary Prevatt
Aylin Dague: Still looking for my grandfathers belongings that were either wrongfully donated or trashed. This specific blanket didn't leave his room for about 5 years (he had it for over 20 years) and the staff said they couldnt find it but I don't think they really looked. This is the main item I want back, thank you.
Bob Autry: They make patients wait hours, when the call is pushed. Meals are late, nurses & staff are rude to guests & patients, alike. Lots of patients are roaming the hallways unattended or yelling. Daily fire alarms. No-one gave our family member a shower the day we visited... Just so very sad, so my hope he (family member) get transferred or moved elsewhere very soon.
Gabrielle Harris: So this place has alot of terrible reviews, and as a heathcare worker and just knowing how nursing homes work you really don't want to send your love ones here based on these reviews.....but as for mine this places seems to have changed alot my uncle has been there for a few months and besides a bit of this and that this place has showed our family peace of mind and empathy. Thanks for everything and your care, especially under these different circumstances.
Liteta Bridges: Great place to work...terrible management!!!!
Adri E: REX hospital sent my mother there for 1 month, while there all her belongings were lost, i met her for a doctors appt and she had on another residents shoes, bra and underwear. He feet were swollen. Every time when we went to visit her in her room she was in hospital gown. When she was finally sent home she was sent home with out any proper instructions for medical follow up I had to google how to give the insulin shot and she did not have enough medicine from them to cover her until she had her primary doctor visit . All of her belongings that I sent to her were lost even after I opted in to wash her own clothes her pictures of her grandson was also lost I called to speak with Devvie who assisted with admissions and I found out she was not longer there. I called multiple times to speak with someone about her medicine refill and clothing and no one was willing to assist except the receptionist who transferred me and took my messages. I was able to speak with a nurse there and she had a complete attitude until I told her my mother could go back to the hospital or something else happen to her because she was sent home with out the proper assistance. DO NOT SEND ANY LOVE ONE TO THIS LOCATION!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hailey autrey: DO NOT BRING YOUR FAMILY HERE OR WORK HERE. They are neglectful and will leave your family member crying for help. Believe your family when they tell you there being mistreated because it is true. Management is terrible they will blame you and roll their eyes constantly. They do not follow state rules at all. This place is a one star for a reason.
Living4Christ istheonlyway: DO NOT SEND A LOVED ONE HERE. NOT EVEN A PET. THIS PLACE HAVE STOLEN MY FATHER CLOTHES. HIS PHONE CHARGERS. ANYTHING THEY CAN GET THERE HANDS ON. THEY NEGLECT HIM. I HAVE HAD TO CALL UP THERE ALMOST EVERY DAY SINCE HE HAS BEEN HERE. I AM PRAYING HE MAKES IT THROUGH. I WILL BE FILING A COMPLAINT AGAINST THIS FACULTY IF SOMETHING DONT CHANGE. BECAUSE I NO THEY DON'T WANT ME TO COME BACK UP THERE.
Tyeesha Davis: This place is a disgrace to work at and to send a loved one trust me I know first hand.. The staff are rude and nonchalant. The staff do not know how to talk to you in a respectful way but then wonder why they can not keep any good staff let along any family members wanting to bring their loved ones to thier facility. I guess being exposed on the news the last time wasn't enough for these ppl and now that it's a pandemic it's really hell on wheels... The administration staff just their for looks.
Emily Dement: Never liking nursing homes but realizing the need for them, I accepted the fact that my dear grandparents would need the care they are supposed to be provided. We found UHC to be nice compared to so many others in the area. Both grandparents entered the facility almost two years ago. Unfortunately, things there have gone downhill the last year. Yes, I am keeping COVID-19 in mind and realize that no one was prepared for this horrible pandemic. COVID, however, does not excuse the lack of communication and organization UHC currently presents. With families not being able to enter the facility, we were totally dependent on the staff to keep us updated on the health of our loved ones. When phone calls were placed, it was not unusual to wait 15-20 minutes to speak with a nurse, and often times we just hung up after waiting so long.Recent staff turnover seems to be problematic. Losing personal items belonging to the residents is another problem. Hearing aids, tv remote, clothes and even a wheelchair are a few of the lost items. Can you imagine losing a personalized wheelchair??? On two occasions, we saw my grandfather wearing clothes belonging to someone else. Picking up some of their belongings was a real eye-opener. We received their nice clothes thrown into a garbage bag, clothes, mail and stuffed animals belonging to someone else. A recently purchased wheelchair was returned without one of the footrests. Fortunately, that was later found. My dear grandmother passed away on Christmas Eve, and my dear grandfather passed away just thirty days later. Don’t even get me started regarding the compassionate care visit our family had to fight for to see my grandfather. I understand the need for safety precautions during this time, but we knew our loved one was failing fast, for family window visited every day. It’s a shame we knew he was in his last days, but the staff didn’t. Perhaps they did know but just didn’t care enough to call and arrange inside visits for us. They seem to have an excuse for everything. It’s just a mess honestly. It’s sad that our family has received zero compassion from UHC during this difficult time. Perhaps more staff turnover is needed. Maybe things will eventually improve at UHC, but for now, I absolutely DO NOT recommend it for you or your loved ones.
Penny Hill: My dad lived at Universal Healthcare/North Raleigh for over four years. The first few years was pretty good. He was a likeable person and made friends with all of the workers. They took good care of him and his health actually improved. However, staffing turnover is a problem. The last year was horrible. The latest administrator, Wendy Clark, would benefit from some continuing education on how to manage a nursing home and how to communicate with families - that's putting it nicely. Due to COVID, I was unable to enter the facility to take care of things for my dad. With constant turnover with the aides, the care of the residents, dietary, and housekeeping has seriously declined. My dad contracted COVID on Dec 16 and died on Dec 25. I don't have the energy to even discuss how horrific that experience was but I will say that 31 days later and I still haven't received all of his belongings. Ms. Clark has been incompetent in her duties. All nursing homes have problems - the staff are not fairly compensated for what they are required to do. For most of the staff, it is a J. O. B. However, there are always a few that truly care about the residents - and for that I am thankful. As long as Ms. Clark is the administrator, I would highly recommend not leaving your loved one at Universal.
Chuck Fishbeck: I have nothing bad to say about this place it was wonderful. The staff was very pleasant and almost every one of them acted like they wanted to be there and there for the right reason. Their age their nurses their whole staff was awesome even the kitchen staff was easy to work with. The therapist really helped me a lot and I recommend them to anybody . I was away from home for over 2 months but it gwas a very pleasant experience!
Sabrina SC: The Building is beautiful. Wendy and her staff have created a wonderful environment that is peaceful and homey. The therapy team is compassionate and knowledgeable with a healthy dose of fun that encourages the patients to work hard but not to take themselves too seriously a long the way. It’s just what the Dr ordered.
chicomobile: My brother who was a COMATOSE and COMPLETE PARALYSIS was turned over By REX hospital to this NEGLECTFUL REHAB facility that was not even designed/ medically trained to deal with someone like this, BUT ONLY to get that 5,000.00 payment then they took him in!The 1st time within 24 hours he showed back up to EMERGENCY ROOM A TEMP OF 105.3They unfortunately sent him back against my will since he was a patient there ...2 DAYS LATER HE DIED, NOONE KNOWS 🤔IF YOU CARE FPR YOUR LOVED ONE PLEASE LOOK ELSE WHERE THERE STAR RATING EXPLAINS IT ALL!!
Terri Mixon: I don't really even give this place one star really maybe a couple employees, my mother was over there and all I've got to say or all I'm going to say the workers there will get old too they might think about how they treated the old and disabled would not recommend this hell hole to anyone a
Dorothy Edmundson: They are the sorriest people you are can be at this place is so cute is so sorry if you have family in here I would not I will come and get them patient, patient upstairs I see it every day to don't let me cuz I could talk so y'all need y'all need to do something that you're saying me that's all I got to say you don't look at them like y'all think they do and then they sit there and wet diapers and all that if I do it 4 hours they do it too
Anna Faulk: This place is a disgrace! I recently visited my grandmother and there was a women in her wheelchair in the hall yelling help me and ouch and there were two "nurses" and I use that term vert lightly, just sitting there and talking and until I said something to the women they came down the hallway and shoved her into her room without a word and gave me a dirty look because i said somethimg! This place need to be shut down they did the same thing to my grandmother by shutting the door so they didn't have to hear her yelling! Never send your loved ones here ever!

Wake Assisted Living Memory Care: what do users think?
Cora Bean: Grateful for the opportunity.Extortion, low pay, high turn over, unethical behaviour..
Felicia Lynn Hester- Nunn: The staff is very nice/ and it looks clean but the facility reeks of urine. I’ve been there several times and each time the smell was worse. That needs to be addressed no one should have to live with that.
scott gorman: I worked at this establishment but left for medical reasons. While I worked there, not one time did I observe a resident being neglected or improperly handled. Christine, the owner went out of her way to make sure things were taken care of professionally. I really miss that place and would go back to work there in a heartbeat...who knows, one day the right situation may arise. I recommend anyone with special needs for memory care, stay here, they specialize in this field. It's very clean, it's well run, the staff have a passion to help those in need.
Lisa Lawson: Throughout this pandemic the staff has really stepped up and proved that their heart is in this for the residents. They are going above and beyond to give care to the residents. Starting from March when we was locked down and didnt know what this Corona virus was going to do to us having cases in the building and now coming close to the end of this mess and the staff working long hours and pitching in on their days off. WAL staff rocks.
Sabriena Tuck: I miss my job.ive worked at other dementia facilities but my experience with my residesnts here have left a forever hold on my heart.miss my coworkers and crew❤
Telly Alexander: Excellent Staff . the way i feel they have done a fantastic job providing excellent and professional care in the Alzheimer's Dementia care field. I couldnt be more pleased with the care my mother recieves. I would recommend their services to anyone who has a loved one with similar characteristics and has had a hard time finding professional care. Never judge a book by its cover because they provide 5 star care.
Swagger: If I had a dog I wouldn’t let them take care of it. DON’ DO IT!!!!
Nikki Banks: This place literally stinks!

Magnolia Glen: what do users think?
Teresa Bordeaux: Magnolia Glen is a wonderful place to work and offers residents a safe, loving and vibrant lifestyle. Check out Facebook and Instagram to see all of the exciting programs, trips and excursions that residents have an opportunity to participate in. Brookhaven Nature Preserve connects to the community and offers residents walking trails that connect to Magnolia Glen. It truly is where “Nature meets Nurture.”
Kara F. Smith: Residents are well cared for by staff. Wellness team puts together amazing events and outings! Loved Magnolia Glen.
Leah Summerville: As a valued vendor, it has been such a pleasure to work among the wonderful staff at Magnolia Glen as a team. We are grateful to be among the community to provide excellent service to our residents.
Julieann Rivera: Deception at its finest let’s just say that
Yaya P: The management here is terrible. One time a cook (Kevin) tried to catch a rat with a knife and then proceeded to use the same knife for food AND IT WAS SERVED!!!
Norman Aamodt: Magnolia Glen is a place you can truly call home with pride.
Suzi Heffner: As a CNA, I absolutely love working at Magnolia Glen. I have been here for many years and have no desire to look for other employment. When you work here, you are part of a family that includes the residents and the other staff members. So many of the staff across the departments have been here for years and years, which is such a benefit to the residents. This is one of my happy places; I am blessed to call this my work and my job! I would recommend Magnolia Glen to someone in senior healthcare looking for a positive, healthy, and fun place to work. The atmosphere is that of a collective effort, and I feel like I am a valued member of the family.I would also happily recommend Magnolia Glen to families making transitions in senior living. The setting is a beautiful mountain lodge-type property, nestled along a Nature Preserve, with peaceful views in all directions. Many updates and remodels are happening now, giving it a fresh, clean, and comfortable feel all around. There are many floor plans and options available, to accommodate different needs and styles. The Wellness staff are energetic, fun and creative, facilitating so many varied activities that they have started or that were started by the residents themselves. It’s simply a beautiful, fun, and all around wonderful community!
Laura Jacquier: We called Magnolia Glen independent living when we realized that our mother could no longer live in her home. My sister and I live far away and we needed to move fast. Jaime, Erika and the entire Magnolia Glen team went above and beyond the call of duty to make this transition simple and dignified. And all this in the context of Covid. With weekly testing and mandatory mask-wearing, they are taking the necessary precautions to protect their residents. They rented furniture, helped her to move in, took time to explain the rental contact to our mother and made her feel so welcome. The facility is beautiful (Frank Lloyd Wright inspired) with a wonderful pool, common area, restaurant and her apartment was completely redone. They have numerous in-house services to give Mom the extra support she needs including meal delivery to her apartment, daily check-ins and emergency response. They also offer social and physical activities for those who wish to participate. They treat her like a valued new of this community and we can all breath a sigh of relief knowing she is safe and well taken care of. I would recommend Magnolia Glen with no reservations.
Pride And Joy: I enjoyed working with the other servers. We had a lot of fun working together.
Olesia Atkinson: Such a wonderful place to work. Sweet residents and staff that want to see you grow and encourage it. I would reccomend this place for anyone looking for a job.
Kyle Yeaman: Great place to work. The residents and staff really make this job worth while. Thank you magnolia Glen for everything you do to make this an awesome and exciting place to work
Beth Clark: If I could give Magnolia Glen more stars I would. I moved my mom here in May from Charlotte after she suffered a stroke and I cannot say enough positive things about this community. The assisted living is phenomenal. The RN and LPN on staff are amazing. The CNA's are also Med-techs. They are knowledgeable , beyond caring and immediately help with anything you or your loved one needs. The food is awesome as well as the staff and administration. Moving my mom to Magnolia Glen has been a godsend and huge blessing!
Larry Pulliam: My mother has been at Magnolia Glen for just over two years. She is very happy there and has no complaints. We would recommend Magnolia Glen to everyone ...
Beth Friedland: A good place for seniors looking for caring and supportive assisted living facilities.
Rhonda Roberts: The staff are awesome. The place is clean and has thought of the amenities on may want when they transition to an independent living place!!
Sarah Louise: Overall it is a great community.

Brighton Gardens of Raleigh: what do users think?
Kim Michael: My father has been. At BG for a month now. I could not be happier the care the aides have given him. Bed baths 1 sometime twice a day. He loves the soups, he loves it so much they bring him two! I would like to send praise to Angela and Callena, they have been very attentive.
Rasheeda Etheredge: The grounds are well kept. The facility is clean. The staff was nice and seemed to care about the residents. They have activities for the residents. They seemed to be well taken care of. My client's room was clean. I would recommend this facility.
Thomas Charles: This place feels like home when I visit. Staff is always friendly and super helpful.
Tom Vitaglione: Great facility, great food, caring staff!
Paul Carlton: The most overpriced facility for the care my Mother has received. It took 2 months to get her a shower.Their specialty is to take her to get 3 meals a day.Charge her if they have to bring the meal to her room in a box. They do NOT check on her every 2 hours. Sometimes the only way she gets help is if the medicine woman or the cleaning lady just happen to enter her room.Their excuse for not helping her with her bathroom duties is "She didn't push the button. My Mom has Major Dementia and what do they expect. I would never recommend anyone paying over $8500 a month at this place.A rip off!!They also were giving her the incorrect dose of her seizure medication. Double!9 pills instead of 4!My Mom was a Zombie and could have killed her.STAY AWAY from Brighton Gardens!!!
Vance Fitzgerald: This place was our choice for my dad because we were told it was a place he could live out his days. This didn’t turn out to be the case. The handful of amazing employees couldn’t cover for the general lack of empathy that started from the top and trickled down to others.Parkinson’s is complicated. Ultimately, BG lacked the knowledge & expertise to make good on the original promises.Interact with other families that you see visiting the facility and ask them for direct, candid feedback as you make your choice of where your loved one will live. Ask them about professionalism, expertise, empathy, and the experience your loved one should expect.Or reach out and ask me for more thoughts…
Laura Grover: No place is perfect but for the 2+ years Mom has resided at BG, we have been very satisfied overall.
Karen Lewis: I am so grateful to all of the staff at Brighton Gardens of Raleigh. They are very knowledgeable in how to transition new residents into the community. They worked with my mother in many ways and even during the pandemic she received the best possible care. Her memory issues even improved with the therapy she received.
Janet Joyner: The place was wonderful when my parents moved in May 2018. Then all the management changed. There are some wonderful staff that took great care of my mother. They loved her and she loved them. I have no complaints about her care and I would have given them 5 stars for that. The problems really began during the lockdown. My mother had dementia and I think sometimes they thought she was hallucinating. She complained that she could see mice running on her couch. I talked to lots of people over there about it but nothing was done except sticky traps put out. It took my mothers social working showing them 3 months later before anything was done. They caught several mice. When my mothers health deteriorated we were finally allowed to see her on a limited basis. While cleaning her apartment we discovered that mice had ruined the mattress in her sleeper sofa that was purchased new when she moved in. We set traps ourselves and caught 2 mice. Mymother had to live for months with rat urine and rat feces in her apartment. My mother passed away in oct 16, 2020. When I called to see about moving out her furniture I was told they had covid there and we couldn’t move it out. They would have to do it. My sister went to get her stuff first. Nothing was packed and my mothers belongings were stacked by the dumpster. I gave them a week and we took them boxes to pack the rest of her things. When I arrived this morning all her things were outside by the dumpster! No one to help load the one large piece of furniture. My heart broke. My mother would have been mortified to see all her stuff out by the dumpster. She deserved a lot better than that! And as we pulled out a large moving truck backed in. I am sure it was to move a new resident in. So in summary the staff that take care of the residents are wonderful and I love so many of them after 2 1/2 years. But maintenance just does not care. And when the money stops they are done with you and put your loved ones things out like garbage.

Renaissance Care Home @ Neuse River Estates - Family Care Home: what do users think?
Beth Welsh: This place is the most wonderful home we could have ever asked for. If we could give it 10 starts we would. Everyone took such good care of our father from the first assessment until he took his last breath. From the moment we met Ken and Rosalie we knew this was the place our father needed to be. Everyone who works here loved our father like we did and he loved living here. Our only regret is that he didn't get to live longer at this wonderful home. If you are looking for a wonderful home for aging parents-look no further. This is home.
Lori Bradley: I can't say enough good things about Renaissance Care. The owners were wonderful to wok with, the staff was excellent. It is apparent that they care for the people who are there. Although my father wasn't there long before he passed, I felt at ease knowing he was well cared for as he transitioned. Would not hesitate to place a loved one in their care if ever the need arises again.
Adam Schessel: Caring and attentive care staff delivering exceptional care to their residents. Ken and Rose take a very hands on approach to ensuring their residents' needs are met while having individuals on staff that truly care.
Carol Booth: My father was a resident here last year for almost 4 months, until his death. The LOVE, attention and complete care on every level (they even painted the door knobs white to match the door so to deter him from trying to escape. Incidentally wasn't an issue bc he felt at home and safe and didn't even attempt to leave...) The efforts from the endearing owners, Rosalie and Ken, to all of the caregivers there (which are chosen and go through quite the process to be even considered able to work there) was basically a life altering experience! My father thrived here it was so evident that he was VERY well taken care of; his behavior changed, although pretty incommunicable for his advanced Alzheimer state, he was calmer, relaxed and at ease. Previously he had been in bigger institutions where the care was minimal and loud and confusing. Renaissance Care Homes offers the ability for your loved one to be watched/cared for/loved in ALL facets of life in a home setting. I cannot say enough good things about these ANGELS who cared for my father in a time of need....my family and i are indebted to them for their help in assisting my father (and therefore US) through a very difficult and hard time of life for him. Having him there allowed an unbelievable sense of relief and 100% security for my family. We just wish we had found them earlier in the process.
Phyllis Barbour: Renaissance Care Home was recommended to us by Aging Advisors NC, who our family consulted with to find care for my 86 year old mother-in-law. The consultant researched 28 homes and Renaissance was in the top two she recommended. We had also heard from a physician friend at WakeMed that the care was good. My mother-in-law needed a higher level of care after a hospital and rehab stay.Rosalie met with my mother-in-law, and immediately won her over. The owners encouraged us to tailor the space to her needs, and warmly welcomed her. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law had contracted an infection in rehab that ultimately put her in Hospice care, which was provided to her at Renaissance. We created a partnership with the home, coordinating our private staff and house staff to best serve my mother-in-law's needs. We depended on the house staff to guide us as her condition declined. During the time she was at Renaissance she was bedridden, but never had a bed sore - due to the careful attention she was given. The home smelled fresh all the time, and the staff always greeted us with a smile. Each day home cooked meals were prepared and great effort was made to encourage my mother-in-law's eating as well as her overall comfort. We highlight recommend Renaissance Care Home. The Barbour FamilyRaleigh, NC
Tina Mast: My mother stayed at both the Raleigh and the Wake Forest and always received excellent care at Renaissance. The staff are kind and do their best to make residents feel welcome and well cared for. The houses are immaculate. The owners are there frequently and would always pop by to say hello to Mom. We were allowed to put up as many pictures and personal items in her room as we wished, and they were happy to have Mom's dog come and visit her. Due to their diligence in turning my mother, and in conjunction with the hospice nurse, they were able to heal up a Stage 3 pressure wound - something which I have come to understand is no mean feat. I always felt welcome when visiting and the owners were easy to talk to. They were responsive to requests and always wanted feedback on how their staff was doing and how Mom was feeling. I would not hesitate to recommend them.
Melanie Walker: I moved my mom to Renaissance Care home recently after a series of other care homes. Mom has late stage Alzheimer's disease and needs help with all activities of daily living. I have found the staff at Renaissance to be caring, well-trained, patient and experienced in dealing with residents stricken with this terrible disease. The food is home-cooked and any time necessary to ensure mom is eating is taken. Professionalism and strict procedures on medication dispensing are always followed. Mom's combative nature has settled down and she is comfortable, clean, and well-cared for. After many experiences, I feel very lucky to have found Renaissance for mom. I now have peace of mind!
NC: They offer excellent care!!!
Cheri Wood: My sister and I moved our mother to Renaissance Care Home about three weeks ago. She has severe dementia and needs help in all areas of her daily functions. We couldn't have found a better place for her. The owners, Rosalie and Ken, are absolutely wonderful. Due to the care our mother is getting, she is a different person than what we experienced at her last home. Besides the excellent care she is getting, the home is very warm and friendly. I would highly recommend Renaissance for excellent care of a loved one.Cheri W.
Melody Haislip: My Mother has dementia and lives at Renaissance Care Home. We moved her here after an awful experience at a similar company. There is nothing similar at all turns out! The owners are amazing here! The home is gorgeous, professional and safety is their number one concern. The attention to detail with regards to my mother's care is wonderful. My mother had gone down hill and after the move to Renaissance, she is thriving! They truly care about their residents, are on top of meds and make healthy meals from scratch that are always nutritious, which has also led to my mothers improvement. I cannot thank them enough for the peace of mind I have now!
