Kendra Spiker: First I would like to start off with the positive. I met with Dr. Yoffe and he was great. He explained everything thoroughly and answered all of my questions (my very many questions), which took some fear away. He cared about my visit but was not concerned about why I was being seen and explained why he felt this way. This my mind at ease, because I was very concerned for something that was not a big deal at all. He still ran the necessary tests, I received them all that day, and I was contacted to have those results explained to me. Definitely would recommend. The lady that brought me back to my room was also amazing (I wish I could remember her name) She was positive, upbeat, always smiling, and we had great conversations. Overall the care provided was fantastic!The negative: I was referred to Rex Hematology Oncology ASSOC by my OB but this practice claimed they never received a referral. My OB had said they sent it multiple times. I was made the middle man to figure out who was at fault, which set my appointment back a month longer than it should have been. It would have been a lot easier for the 2 practices to contact each other at the beginning to figure out where the confusion was instead of putting me in the middle to make calls back at forth. Once they did contact each other a month later, I received a call to schedule my appointment that same day. Overall it took 6 weeks to get the appointment instead of the 2 I had to wait once the appointment was scheduled. I've been referred by my OB to other specialists and did not have nearly this amount of trouble. Otherwise, the day of my appointment went smoothly and the staff was very polite, just some trouble with scheduling, so I gave them a 4 instead of 5.
