The Mindly Group, PLLC: what do users think?
Lykiera Lanier: For some reason the original person I spoke with keeps removing my appointments. I’ve only spoke to her once and nothing since. After getting agitated with my appointment requests not going through I tried to see if I could get another. I guess I just need another place to go to because the way my mom has spiraled down this month 😂….😒I’m surprised that I haven’t completely lost it… I usually always leave good reviews, but this place isn’t it…
Molly: The Mindly Group is a wonderful organization of skilled mental health professionals. Highly recommend!
outis: I've been going for a few months now, and the differences in my quality of life have really shown me how important a great therapist is.
Riya Bhatt: Very little communication, therapists seem disinterested and do not seem to actually care.
Joel: I've been going here for probably three years now. The first two therapists I had weren't amazing, one was used to small children and didn't know how to help a young adult, and the other was just unkind and disrespectful when I came in upset because my cat had died.Since then, I've gotten a new therapist I've been with for at least a year and a half. She was amazing at her work, but she recently left. I'm very excited to meet my new therapist!
B B: You call their number and listen to a long recording that basically tells you to go online and register. I do this long form which at the end you choose the provider you want to see. I chose one who did the specific type of therapies I was looking for and I was told was accepting new clients last month. It took over a week for my referral to go through and when it did they never called me. Fine. So I call, then fill out this form, and wait "48 hours" as instructed. I finally get a vociemail from some receptionist I can barely understand talking super fast saying I could get an appointment with so-and-so (a thearpist of a different gender and modality) because the thearpist I wanted is no longer accepting clients. So I filled out their form and waited longer for no reason. So much for trauma informed. No thanks, if I have to do another referral I'm going somewhere with better, quicker and up to date administration.
Mariela Miranda: I had some issues scheduling an appointment for my daughter however, Katie reached out to me after hearing how upset I was with some miscommunication and she was very professional and polite and immediately solved my problem. I'm very happy with their response and glad they were able to squeeze my daughter in for a sooner appointment even though they seem to be very busy at the moment. I'm eager to have my daughter start therapy next week and will update then!Update: My daughter just had her intake appointment with Anna and she was just wonderful. Words cannot describe the peace of mind we got after our session. Anna has a lot of experience working with children of all backgrounds and it shows. She was a great listener and very compassionate and knowledgeable. We cannot wait for her to begin working with our little one . My daughter is shy for the most part but she immediately felt comfortable with Anna and opened up to her. We are feeling so grateful for the opportunity of working with her. Thank you Mindly Group, from a worried mom!!
Chris McDonald: Stephanie and her team are amazing! They are so compassionate and professional. They provide top notch therapy and really go above and beyond to help clients in need. I highly recommend their services!
Carrie: Had an issue but Stephanie took care of it! :) Looking forward to continuing my therapy here since this place really did help me a lot!
Praveen Sriram: My younger brother with cerebral palsy sees one of the psychologists at the Mindly Group and I was there for one of the sessions and had a great experience. The psychologist was very caring and is a great listener and didn’t rush us. I highly recommend the Mindly Group. Thank you so much!
gregory: I had some issues with the company at first, however as soon as the owner became aware of these she made a diligent effort to correct them and did. She like any business person cares about what her client's needs are and in the future I will attempt to resolve any problems prior to just posting on Google as this can quickly ruin a reputation. Especially when they take satisfactory measures to rectify any problems.
Janice Whitaker: The positive energy and professional therapists helped me shed baggage and look forward to life with a fresh start.
Winston: A wonderful clinic with extremely helpful and professional staff. They went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable during this challenging time in my life.
Ryan Phillips: Calming environment, pleasant staff, and overall a great experience. Saw a clinician for several months during a bad period of my life and I was helped dramatically. Confidentiality is key with the Mindly Group and I felt that I was always treated appropriately.

Orenstein Solutions: what do users think?
Zachary Nice: Absolutely amazing group of professionals.
Kai Ni: Dr Orenstain canceled my appointments a few times with short notice within 3 months period of time. I then stopped seeing her.She would lead our conversation to the area that she is specialized in but I had no problems in my life. When I was expecting validations and empathy from her as a therapist, I was blamed for problems that I had been suffering from when I was a child.I went to see her because of the good reviews. I highly doubt the authenticity of these reviews.
Ellen Andrews: We worked with Susan and one of her colleagues to organize a workshop on healthy relationships for our staff, who work closely with vulnerable households in the community. Susan is a wonderful trainer (both trainers were fantastic!) - the material and level was appropriate to the team, she was responsive and sensitive to team questions, and did a great job soliciting input and participation from the group. I definitely strongly recommend Orenstein Solutions!
lucie house: We worked with Susan at Orenstein Solutions to organize a couples mindfulness workshop. Susan ran an amazing workshop that received incredible feedback from our clients. Participants even inquired about working with Susan privately they were so impressed with her in the workshop.
James Hart: I was referred to Susan by another family law attorney and have enjoyed getting to know her as a colleague and professional. I have no concerns referring my clients to her practice.
Peregrine M. Kavros: I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Orenstein through our PACT Training (Stan Tatkin, Psychobiological Approach to Couples Therapy). Since our meeting, I have been consistently impressed with Dr. Orenstein's training, thoughtfulness, and compassion in caring for both her patients and her colleagues. She has truly gone out of her way to welcome me into therapeutic community. Her sensitivity and commitment in providing an integrated therapeutic milieu that supports the care of her patients is highly admirable, and difficulty to replicate. I recommend Dr. Orenstein highly.
PNW Lady: I was extremely frustrated with this office and the way the scheduling conflict effected me. I was supposed to see someone at 9. I waited around until 9:30am when a lady attempted to help me. She talked to the office scheduler who said that QTC cancelled my appointment (which they didn't) and I was left to call QTC and figure the whole mess out on the phone. After talking to QTC ( who were just as mystified as me about why I didn't have an appointment) they said the office could get me in at 2pm but with my entire morning ruined, driving 30 minutes to get there, dropping my daughter off at a drop in daycare that I can only use for four hours....I was beyond frustrated and upset and not in the mood to talk to anyone about my military service related issues!! I couldn't imagine going back to this office after that initial experience and won't get my time or money back that it cost me to get to the office in the first place. My recommendation to others is to call this office before your appointment and confirm they are expecting you. But I will point out that I had a confirmation from their office the day prior and could in no way predict that this would happen or double confirm my appointment the morning of since my appointment was scheduled at 9am when they opened. What a disaster!! Not sure that I'll ever feel confident to show up to an appointment again without reconfirming everything. Thanks.*Update*The company called me immediately after I posted my review to address some the issues I mentioned.I appreciate that they followed up with me and attempted to rectify it as best they could.
Dionne Johnson: 2 years later and still so pissed off by the time wasted at this place and the fact they don't really care about helping people, just the money they get from them!Do not waste your time or money here. We worked directly with Susan and were hopeful on her promises. However after several sessions of her promising over and over again to give us insight into skills and tools we could use to work on our concerns, we realized she was just pushing it out to get more and more money from us. She offered no value and we wasted so much money and our time on empty promises. Please do not make the same mistake we did!It is interesting and curious that after I posted my honest encounter with this practice, that she has apparently gotten several of her colleagues and friends to post positive reviews. The reviews missing from this list of reviews is a review from clients saying they had a good experience with her. I feel like this speaks volumes about the practice.
Mary Collins: For over 5 years ourr son and we have seen different therapist at Orenstein and have greatly benefited. Having used neurofeedback therapy in the past when our son was younger we were delighted to see it offered, too. Frederique Beaufils is professional and easy for young people and adults to feel at ease working with to do neurofeedback. The process is painless and results were noted quite quickly. Our 15 year old had more focus and attentive to homework, and a positive feeling after the sessions.
Jennifer Erickson: I met Frederique Beaufils (Neurofeedback Specialist) a little over a year ago by chance and her neurofeedback sessions were just what I needed at the time. Going into the shorter days of winter, I can sometimes experience some anxiety and depression. I felt a difference in my mood and the tightness in my chest loosen from my first visit with her. Having benefited from neurofeedback in the past with a wonderful technician who had since moved to CA, I was very happy to have found Frederique! She is always professional, responds quickly and compassionately when I want to make an appt, checks in with me and listens to my concerns and questions, and is patient and kind in all aspects of our sessions. I highly recommend her and Neurofeedback if you have anxiety or depression, and I understand that it can be helpful for a multitude of other issues as well, like ADHD, ADD, etc.
alcoleman4700: I just received one of the most rude and unprofessional emails from Frederique Beaufils at Orenstein Solutions. I was going to post a very detailed account on the background. But instead, I'll just post the email. We were having some scheduling conflicts. Partly because I was planning and getting ready for my wedding that just occurred this past Friday and partly because she suddenly left one of the offices I was going to for her services. Anyway, I asked her about getting a refund for my prepaid sessions that had not been fulfilled from the office she left. Her complete response is below:"Are you seriously asking for a refund just because I cannot accommodate your last-minute request to change the appointment time today? Needless to say, this is a rhetorical question.1) The sessions are nonrefundable and have been paid out already. Calling your credit card company will not make a difference.2) Appointments are usually scheduled a week in advance. I suggested other times last week via email and never got an answer. You confirmed this morning that you could come today at 4pm, and you are now surprised because I cannot move it to another slot today and last minute. That is quite unreasonable. Other clients are scheduled and you need to take the schedule of others into consideration.3) Your prepaid package was purchased at a different location and for yourself. I offered to see you in Cary to honor these sessions, and was only doing you a favor by accepting to see ***** using one of the prepaid sessions. Your reaction makes me wonder why I even tried to be nice.4) I am wondering about your commitment to the training, both yours and ****** in fact. You know the general recommendation for ADHD is around 30 sessions. Do you intend to continue or do you just want to get these 3 sessions out of the way? The latter does not make much sense. In any case I can only offer what my schedule allows, and the next available appointment that might fit your schedule would be next Tuesday at 6pm.Thanks,Frederique"So - to be fair, I can see how the path of the email thread could lead her to think that was my sole/main reason for asking for a refund. She could not have been more wrong - and although it was hard to schedule, it didn't have anything to do with not being able to make the change. As a mother of 3 and a professional, I understand about other peoples' schedules. But her availability is limited to 2 afternoons a week. And that makes it a challenge on my end as well. Bottom line - it wasn't personal...As I later explained to her - an office not far from my home and daughter's school that I already have a relationship with offers the services. They are much closer and they have better after hours options. These reasons are why I decided to change providers. Considering the trouble that we had with scheduling and her limited availability (Tuesdays and Fridays) - they would be a better option.2) The email that she sent last week that I didn't respond to, was sent as I was getting ready for and, well, participating in my marriage. So yeah, I couldn't respond to the email. She knew I was getting married during that time, as she mentioned it in one of the emails.3) "Tried to be nice" - Trying to be more professional would have been appreciated at this point. This service isn't covered by insurance and it isn't cheap.4) I expressed to Frederique how unprofessional and rude some of her comments are. She does not agree, however. Her response was so night and day from previous conversations with her, I don't even feel comfortable enough taking my daughter back to her. It was completely uncalled for.*** I did call and speak to Dr. Orenstein directly. She was extremely sincere and listened with care and patience. It's unfortunate that I may not have an opportunity to work with Dr. Orenstein further due to this development with Frederique.
Glynis Hill-Chandler: The Hill Center recently had the pleasure of having Dr. Susan Orenstein present at our Community Education Series. Her topic of Examining Difficult Parental Emotions was well received by the attendees. Susan connected with the audience providing useful tips and guidance to help you develop mindfulness and self-compassion skills to better care for yourself and your family. She followed up with resources on self-care and mindfulness practices for those who attended. She engaged the audience and it was a pleasure having her present at our organization. I have worked with Susan over the years and she is always very professional, sincere and sensitive to one’s needs. I think of her practice often as a referral source.
Jill Raleigh: Dr. Susan Orenstein has visited our office on a couple of occasions to speak with our clients about various topics. We have always found her visits to be informative and interesting. She engages her audience and is very warm and friendly.
Eileen Stevie: Dr. Orenstein is a wonderful speaker and has a great way of engaging her audience and really get them involved in her presentation. Her experience shows through on everything she does. It was a pleasure having her present to our organization with valuable information we can use in our businesses and our lives.
Dr. Kate Johnson: I am privileged to have worked so closely with these people for so long and continue to collaborate with them. OS has a broadly trained group of clinicians who can provide for many needs - individual therapy, assessment, testing, couples work, and family sessions. It is a welcoming environment and my patients have been pleased with their experiences. Professionally I greatly appreciate the priority placed on a collaborative, team approach.
Jane S: I met Susan Orenstein a number of years ago and was impressed with her philosophy, sincerity and integrity. I have, for all these years, shared her information with our clients. My opinion of her remains strong, and I offer my recommendation.Jane Sullivan
Adrienne Bashista: I'm one of the co-organizers for a local event for moms of kids with neuro-behavioral special needs, the Happy Mama Conference and Retreat. Dr. Orenstein gave a presentation about letting go of mama guilt to our moms, all gathered for respite/educational/networking/& community building, and she was wonderful! She gave us practical tools to let go of our negative self-talk and buoyed us up for our hard work as warrior mamas! At the end of our event we ask folks for feedback about the venue, the speakers, the food, the process, etc., and Susan got the highest marks of all our speakers! She was accessible, thoughtful, and empathetic.
Kristen Trolenberg: Dr. Orenstein and her colleagues at Orenstein Solutions have been excellent trainers and consultants; they share years of expertise in a variety of areas in an engaging and organized manner. I am continually impressed by this group.
Metropolitan Organizing, LLC: Susan Orenstein, PhD is a licensed psychologist and director of Orenstein Solutions; I never hesitate referring clients to Orenstein Solutions because the entire staff is attentive, gentle, professional and compassionate. Mental health and relationship challenges are approached and treated with respect in a clean, comfortable and private environment.
Tracey Gritz: Thank goodness for Orenstein Solutions! They are a practice that genuinely and fully cares about their clients. Their therapists are skilled in several areas and are always willing to go the extra mile. Susan is the backbone of the practice and, unlike many therapists, she is results oriented. She's not looking for the paycheck, she's looking to help, educate and empower her clients so to grow and move on.
Greg McCoy: Susan and her staff at Orenstein solutions are an amazing group. I've had the opportunity to work with Susan on one of her workshops and she consistently is professional, caring, and patient with her clients. She is willing to go the extra mile for her clients and demonstrates the highest standards in ethics and quality of work. I highly recommend Orenstein Solutions. Excellent!
