Greg Totherow: I have bought paint from here 4 times over the past year. The staff are very knowledgeable and pretty friendly for the most part. On my first two visits the staff were nice enough but I wouldn't call them "friendly". On my last 2 visits, I was assisted by extremely nice and friendly people who were extremely helpful. In my opinion, Benjamin Moore makes the best paint. It's pricey, but worth it!
Jeremy Davis (Hwy 55 Movers): I just had to get some old trim stain matched. So I brought the old piece to match and a piece of new wood. I dropped them off and came back to a perfect match. Great customer service and great price. Much better than the big box places.

Tyler Ashworth: Bad experience at this location. We went to Benjamin Moore because one of their brands has a good rating in Consumer Reports. This is our first time painting, so we went in to grab some paint samples, get some advice and possibly buy a paint deck. Approached a sales person and was told paint decks were $60 and while my wife and I were discussing , we were asked multiple times if we planned to purchase anything. We had no idea they were closing and then they turned the lights off. Turned the lights off. No mention they were closing and no offer to help us to speed up the process. Won't visit this location again and may try another Benjamin Moore store based on the overall Consumer Reports ratings.

Jean SF: The store manager, Theresa at Spectrum Paint was recommended to me by my general contractor to assist with paint colors for a remodel. In this case we are changing the exterior paint colors of the house, and I was not confident in the choices that I had made. I found that her knowledge of paint and of color and her eye for the colors that compliment each other was of tremendous value. I was very pleased with her customer service and guidance in picking the right colors for this house. I believe that with the fresh, new updated exterior colors, along with the interior remodeling, that the house will sell quickly. We will be returning for future projects. I join my contractor in highly recommending Theresa and Spectrum Paint for their quality customer service and products.

AFR Shaver: At first glance, one would assume that a Store that supposedly specializes in paint should not require celebration for doing the job. Well, Theresa stands WELL above and beyond her peers. I traveled further than I should have for her expertise after being let down by one of her fellow Managers at a location closer to home. Theresa spent a great deal of time color matching two custom paint colors as well as a custom stain that we no longer have access to. Let me make one thing clear; it has been YEARS of attempting to match these colors with little success...until now. Theresa was able to create perfect matches on both stain and paint! Has to be mentioned that she matched the stain completely by eye from a natural base. In regards to the paint that she was the only person to successfully match; she did not simply allow the computer to kick out a mix ratio. She then added pigments manually to ensure a perfect match. Trust me when I tell you, this is rare. There are so many "Professionals" with the "It's close enough" or "This is the best I can do" attitude.She is an asset to the Company and should be commended. Bottom line, her counterparts in one particular store need Mentorship and training. Let me reiterate...these color matches have never been successful until Theresa. She is truly special and has forever ensured access to these custom colors. She is actively researching the third color to meet the needs I have requested. No doubt she will come through on this as well. If you are in need of a true Professional that takes pride in what they do; look no further than this location. Theresa is a consummate Professional that is solely responsible for this Customers repeat business.
Devany Ayers: This review is specifically for Teresa at Spectrum paint. She's a color matching genius! I had chosen a Color Stories color and was using another paint company to color match. The match was no good, so I went to Spectrum to get the exact Benjamin Moore color. Teresa was so knowledgable and helped me understand that the Aura / Color Stories colors are really hard to match accurately elsewhere given the number of pigments in Aura paints that give it the depth of color. While I could use Aura for the walls, I also needed the color in a cabinet paint. She diligently worked with me to make sure the cabinet color was a great match of the original Aura wall color, ensuring we used the right base, etc. As a result, I now have the color I hoped for in a very prominent room in our home. Teresa provided excellent customer service and I'm very happy with my paint. I will be using Spectrum -- and Teresa -- for all our color matching needs.

The quality of work is terrible. Paint is peeling off my cabinets. Their crew messed up my tint on my door- when they “fixed” it’s the new tint is ruined as well.They came back over and over- got paint everywhere.Painted over nails in the walls and didn’t sand down any spots that needed it.I paid them without hesitation and the house looks terrible. They are always courteous and professional and did a wonderful job. ingrid fromm: We used Eric Hardee to paint our house and although the original estimate was for $2,400 when he gave us the final bill it came to more than $4,000.He removed roughly 20% of the boards on the side of my house leaving a huge exposed hole before receiving approval or providing a written estimate. When we confronted him about this and stated we didn't agree to this, he threatened to walk off the job so we felt like I had no choice but to agree to the additional cost.We asked multiple times if he thought just one coat would cover the house and he stated confidently that it would. Since he is supposed to be a professional painter we took him at his word. After the first coat of paint, the house was incredibly splotchy and you could clearly see the other color bleeding through. We felt that we had no choice but to pay the additional charge for a second coat of paint.We feel that his estimate (only one coat of paint) is incredibly deceptive and doing work without consent and a written estimate and then threatening to leave the job he started when confronted is completely unacceptable and unprofessional.

Stanley Polanski: We have been customers for over 10 years and are extremely satisfied with the service and selection at Tryon Hills Paint. Color matching is not a problem for these guys: just bring in a small sample of the existing color and they will come up with the correct formula. All of the colors that we have used in our many home painting projects are stored in their computer system, making it easy to reorder a color for touch-ups. Chris and team also offer advice on specific projects, and they can recommend professional painters in the area. Prices are competitive with other Benjamin Moore dealers.

Mark Skelding: The nicest people working there. Super friendly and helpful. Forget HD or Lowe's. You might spend a little more but it's worth it in the long run.
Samantha Hall: I've been to this store on Creedmoor several times because it is a little closer than others. Today I witnessed the manager being rude, sarcastic and belittling her clients (who had an account there so clearly did a lot of business with them). I will be driving an extra 5mins to another Sherwin-Williams store from now on so as not to incur her wrath.

Zac Tart: I walked in having no idea what I was doing before painting my downstairs bonus room. I was provided almost too much knowledge on paint and the associate behind the counter even showed me how the “light” color I originally picked out was a lot darker than I thought. She basically picked out the color for me and I could not be happier with how it turned out. I will choose SW over a big box store/hardware store any day of the week now.

Paendabear: Visited this location to get a look at some paint colors and ask about good painters in the area.The staff member Justin was very helpful and let me know of a couple of painters/groups he could recommend. If the visit ended there it would be a 4 or 5 star review.But it isn't. On my way to the car I was stopped by two homeless individuals and accosted to try and get them some food from the nearby McDonald's. Behind the building was another individual which I can only assume was pouring a 40 oz over the pavement. I have no idea what was in that can but I didn't stick around long enough to find out

Joshua Wearley: Since I moved to Raleigh, I have been purchasing paint from this store. After a year I stopped in to get some paint and was told they have no interior paint that matched my criteria. I asked if there was a different sheen that I could potentially substitute, was told "if I didn't believe him and wanted to go in back and check I can." I was merely asking to see if there was any alternatives. Last year the staff was kind and helpful, that has changed drastically with this little smart mouth. Will find an alternative store to purchase paint from that isn't a Sherwin Williams franchise. Thoroughly disappointed.

Phil Ershadi: It was my first time painting anything ever, and I had no idea what I was doing. The store associate was the most helpful I ever could have asked for. He took me from clueless to ready to paint in 15 minutes.
Cassidy Pritchard: Had a really wonderful experience at this location off Peace St in downtown Raleigh. Was immediately greeted and assisted, the staff person helping me (Shirt said Delshown I believe - sorry if I got name wrong!) was extremely knowledgeable on the different paint/finishes, and I was in and out in no time (he even loaded the several gallons into my car for me). Although the store started to get busy after I arrived, all staff remained cool and collected and had the line running swiftly and efficiently - I was impressed, especially when folks are all anxious right now regarding crowds/covid-19. I was a little overwhelmed beforehand with all the options and spending hundreds on paint for a whole house, but left feeling pleasantly surprised on the ease of the interaction. Would recommend Sherwin Williams 100% due to quality of products and customer service received! Thanks

Not only had the original paint line been discontinued, but the color formulation had changed. On top of that, the paint we needed to match was 5+ years old, which makes it even more challenging to match.Store associate Collin was extremely knowledgeable and helped to recommend the next best line of paint to match the finish and texture, and he went back and forth several times until he had an exact match to the color we needed.
