Bongiorno & Son: what do users think?
Rune: Everything you get from here will be the best thing you've ever had. Hands down this is the best Italian deli and sandwich shop you'll find south of New York City or outside of Italy itself
Ralph Cerbone: Foods great!
Apryl Olko: Great service, amazing food, and a perfectly clean store! Chicken parm was amazing!
Ashley Davis: Really unique Italian grocery store with a deli attached. Their sandwiches are huge and taste amazing!
Rick Mineo: Best Mozzarella I have had outside of Italy.
heather Payne: I googled where I could get a good prosciutto sandwich went and met the owner extremely nice person. The food was better than I had from New York or New Jersey. Really great ingredients and quality recommend 10 out of 10.
Michael Casey: Posting for my wife… We ordered a tray of ziti bolognese and a tray of sausage and peppers for our 50th anniversary party. Outrageously delicious! Oh, and don’t let me forget about the braided Italian bread! The best Italian bread we had in the 17 years we’ve lived here. The food is truly delicious. I’m a picky Italian and I know Italian food. Bongiorno’s is the best!
Bill: Yet to find anything I don’t like, which ain’t doing my waistline much good. Cherry peppers with prosciutto, beet salad, the bread, bolognese gravy, tiramisu, and on and on. Best Italian food in the Triangle.
Dee: OMG, I had this nice gem on my list to go. I had one of the best huge gooey meatball hoagie/sub since my last visit to NY. Love this Italian store/deli. Yummy desserts. I'm looking forward to my next hoagie/sub soon! Would definitely recommend it!
GravyGoodness: I drive an hour each way to get here. I have worked in a wonderful Deli/Market before that made fresh bread and the Ciabatta I got from there was the best I've ever had. 100% will be going back again, I can't make my sauce without their imported San Marzanos.
jessica orton: Hands down the best sandwich spot in Raleigh!! Great place to grab lunch and sit outside on a beautiful day.The bolognese lasagna, meatballs and chocolate torte are also amazing to take home and enjoy later.
Nick DiColandrea: Bongiorno is hands down one of the hidden gems coming out of the 2020 COVID crisis, filling a much needed gap in authentic Italian foods only found in NYC. While you can find frozen ravioli and pastas from Brooklyn, canned tomatoes, breadsticks, sausages, cheeses, pre-made pastas for dinner, homemade gravy…a lot right!! It’s not just a grocery store! It has a full fledged deli counter with sandwiches, cold salads (Octopus!?), desserts and more!! While you will spend $18-20 per person for a lunch (meal, side, drink), it will be well worth the trip!
Denise M: A real Italian deli/grocery. Not a big store but what they have is all quality goods. Grab a chicken parm on way out!
Alan Zinn: The best little Italian market around!! Alway great service and outstanding quality!!
Angelina Desch: Having grown up in the Philly area and my grandparents lived in NY, I have a big appreciation for a good Italian deli/market. The number 4 is my favorite from their menu and recommend it if you like spicy. My husband and I ordered sausage and meatballs for Christmas from their catering menu. The meatballs were moist and the sausage was tender. Chefs kiss! Would order this again as a special couple nights of dinner so we don’t have to cook. Great staff as well. We love this spot!
Angel Baby: Great Italian pickup.
Ella Far: This place remembered me my home. The owner is a great guy, really helpful. All the products are amazing!
Nancy De Paz: Holiday Antipasto was a HUGE hit for Thanksgiving! High quality delicious appetizer! Very highly recommend!
Roland Maurer: This place is an absolute GEM. We love it. We’ve been coming here for 2 years or so and every time are amazed by the customer service and quality of everything they offer. Love this place. Would give 6/5 stars if I could!
joeg816: I have only been here a few times but if you are looking for great Italian cold cuts, cut by professionals, this is your place.Everything is sliced razor thin, handled with reverence and properly separated with wax paper. This is very rare for this area. You definitely can't find it at any supermarket.Their cold cut prices are quite reasonable and dare I say, seem a bit cheaper than NY/NJ somehow.Their fresh bread is also outstanding. The also have some good looking cakes, cookies, sausages, Italian sodas and Pastosa ravioli (which seems kind of expensive).Very friendly people in a European themed shopping center. Their hours are kind of limited so check before you go!
Alex H: Excellent deli, groceries, sandwiches - everything you could ever want and need in your Italian market. Wish they were in my neighborhood!

Saint Jacques: what do users think?
Ritu Prasad: Would like to preface this review by saying we've been longtime fans of Saint Jacques, back to when Lil was here years ago. It's been our go-to celebration spot for birthdays, graduations, etc. My family recently moved back to the area and we were excited to return. The restaurant now is certainly different from the original Saint Jacques we remember.First, though: Our waitress was great, very kind and helpful and made our experience more enjoyable. The ambiance and overall quality, however, has declined. The food was fine, but lacked the real French taste and finesse of before, and seemed much more Americanized in taste and portion. It wasn't awful, but it was not the same quality as before. The dessert was good, though. We also noticed the floors and bathrooms were not very clean, and the atmosphere is different and not as formal -- patrons in shorts, sneakers and sweatshirts would not have been the case in the past. All in all, we felt it lacked the European refinement and service we had loved before. It's fine if you approach it as a more casual American-French dining option, but as we were hoping for and expecting Saint Jacques to still be a more authentic French restaurant and a fine dining place to celebrate, we're not inclined to return.Vegetarian options: Only one option.
Kevin LeBlanc: Enjoyed a delightful anniversary dinner with my wife here. The food was excellent, the service polite and attentive, and the atmosphere surprisingly intimate. 100% recommend.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Charcuterie, Duck Breast Parking space Plenty of parking …More
Alexandr Tumanov: Food is great. Service is fine as well. Many questions to interior and location.

Stephanie Rockwell: Very pleased with this restaurant. It was our first time dining and the staff was very friendly. It has a refined but comfortable atmosphere. The food was delicious, especially the lobster bisque, which was a special they were serving and I could have eaten several bowls, and the creme brulee.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Carl Estrade: It was our first experience at St Jacques. The food is good. Service is good... even if two of our plates finished on the floor. But no body from the management approached us to say sorry for the wait! Even when we left. Not sure if we will return there.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 1/5 …More
Victoria Voight: I have eaten here several times. I have always loved the food but this time I was a bit disappointed. We had two specials, mussels and bouillabaisse. The stew had too much Sage. The mussels were plump but the sauce had very little flavor.Food: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jj J: Amazing! Best food!!Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Ananya VanSula: Good French restaurant. Quiet. Perfect for date night. We had the scallops and crab cake, escargot, and lamb. We had two red wines: Domaine Paul Buisse and the Cosme, really good.Food: 4/5|Service: 4/5|Atmosphere: 4/5Recommended dishes Coquille Saint-Jacques, Escargot, Crème Brûlée …More
Richard Massong: I have waited several weeks to write a review since the dinners were rather appalling. My wife's escargot was over-cooked and my lobster bisque was very salty. As for the main course, my rack of lamb was ordered medium rare, and came out well done.A friend of ours ordered the same doneness and his was well done as well. The side that came with the lamb was also much too salty. And I like salt. We let the waiter know it was my wife's birthday and she ordered dessert. It came out with Happy Anniversary on the dish. Total lack of control over quality and the little details. Will not be back!!
Lindsay Mohr: Probably our favorite French place by far in the triangle. No mass produced food here. Every dish is clearly made fresh with care. I've never not had a top tier dish here. Everything is always perfectly cooked and gorgeously plated and the service is impeccable. My lamb was fantastic. The red wine reduction paired perfectly with it and very rich. My risotto was great and even the carrots and green beans were perfectly cooked with exactly the right amount of seasoning. The charcuterie plate was the most generous and varied I've had of any of the restaurants I've tried.
Brittany Clark: Update: removed a star for declining service. Food portions have gone up, quality down, and I can't stand the host. Went there to celebrate my 30th and he joked I was 26 then scolded me for not going with it? I'm not even old enough for that bs and I don't find it charming. Also the host is like 50 so why would he even care if I'm over 30? Men are so gross. We came here to celebrate our engagement and the staff was absolutely wonderful, they were very helpful about wine and food choices, and they were the perfect blend of professional and personable. The food was incredible. I would absolutely recommend this place for special occasions or just to treat yourself!
Daniel Strong: Great atmosphere and restaurant!! Reminds me a lot of Nice, France 🇫🇷. Highly recommend this place :)Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Duck Magret …More
Beth Kekes: Food was amazing, atmosphere was calming and inviting. I was pleasantly surprised coming to this place in a middle of a shopping center, but I was very impressed. The decor was quaint but intimate. The menu was very simple but elegant. I would recommend this to any person looking outside of the normal cuisine looking for a tantalizing tickle to the palate.
Pierre: Stopped by on a Wednesday night, not so crowded but we were told they were short on menus so we had to share one. Service was not attentive, and I had to keep looking for our waiter. Our water was only refilled once through our meal. I ordered the Foie Gras et Cerise Noire which was disappointing because the bread was ROCK hard, but not as underwhelming as the Carré d’Agneau d’Automne which wasn’t even cooked to the temperature I wanted, so I switched entrees with my partner. This was a very disappointing French dining experience, especially because we were celebrating a birthday. To top things off, Madi charged us for 2 desserts when we only ordered one. Attention to detail doesn’t seem to exist here.
Rick Long: The food and service was excellent! My only issue was that we were seated by a closed door, had there was cold winter air pouring in all around the door. It was so cold that I had to go get a jacket (and I don't get cold easy). For this meal price, I expect everything to be perfect.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 3/5Recommended dishes Duck Magret, Coquille Saint-Jacques, Crème Brûlée …More
Elizabeth Cass: Wrote a review on open table but forgot about Google! So writing a very late review from April 2022 but had to write this review to tell you if you want good french food and wonderful service go here! My husband said it was the best french onion soup he has ever had! Escargot was delicious and authentic. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and felt very special- service was incredible! Merci to St Jacques!
Chef Chrissie Lapidow: Wow. Just WOW!!! From the moment we walked in and was greeted by Maddie’s smile, we knew we were in for a treat! Everything we ordered was exceptional - from the Chef Board and Onion Soup, to our dinners of beef tenderloin and rack of lamb, it was AMAZING. Not the experience we were expecting from a strip mall restaurant, but thoroughly impressed. Fantastic service from Maddie as well. Highly recommend!
