Melrose Knitting Mill: what do users think?
Natalie Vick: We loved having our wedding at Melrose. The team provided top-notch service and was so accommodating. They truly ensured we and our guests had the most amazing experience. When you book your wedding at Melrose you also work directly with Souther Oak Events. We worked with Erika for our big day and she was amazing. She ensured our event was everything we imagined and expertly managed our wedding day so that we could have a stress free day and enjoy the experience. Catering and alcohol is provided through Melrose and Mulino's. Our food was incredible and our guests raved about it and the drinks. Our guests were greeted with our selected cocktail during our cocktail hour and the service during our reception was great. My husband and I felt like royalty on our wedding day because the staff was constantly checking on us and ensuring we had everything we needed. Neither of us had an empty glass the entire night and never even needed to go to the bar. Our guests complimented the service after our event as well. On top of the amazing service and food, the venue is so beautiful and well-maintained and in such a great location in Downtown Raleigh. The cocktail area outside around the pool was so cool and the only venue downtown that offers a space like this. The historic feel of the knitting mill is so charming and we loved that all the chairs and tables for the space were included in the rental package. We wanted to get married downtown Raleigh so our guests could have a true Raleigh experience. Our guests stayed at Longleaf across the street and were able to walk to Glenwood and to the Longleaf Lounge for afterparty fun. Highly recommend having your wedding or other event at Melrose. They provide the best value for your experience. You will not regret it!
Brittany Montella: We loved having our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill. It is a beautiful space, so we didn't need to decorate much. The natural light, exposed brick, and crystal chandeliers make this space perfect on its own.
Laura Allison: Not only is this venue gorgeous, but it's run by professionals. We had our wedding at Melrose in November 2022 and it was the best decision we made. Steph Smith was our coordinator and she, along with the rest of the venue staff, made the whole planning process SO easy and stress-free. Our guests loved the food, atmosphere, and convenient location to downtown. I would give 10 stars if I could!
Elyssa Kivus (Kivus & Camera): Melrose is one of our favorite venues to photograph at in Raleigh! Who can resist the gorgeous brick and the way the sun comes through the windows? 3 Kivus & Camera
Casey O'Brien: We cannot put into words quite what Melrose did for us. Our ceremony was intimate but our reception was large. They protected that for us, all while making sure our guests had an incredible experience. Erika is an absolute force - she’s detailed, organized and accommodating. Everything about our night was beautiful thanks to this team and the food was, of course, incredible. Thank you!
John Boulding: Wonderful venue that is easy to get to in downtown.
Liz Turpin: We had an event with over 100 people. The food and atmosphere were amazing.
Regina Berry: We just had my daughter's wedding on 8/27/22 and it was perfect. It was a beautiful venue and Stef made sure that everything went flawless. The food was wonderful. I would highly recommend this as a perfect venue. I do wish I would have got a to go plate for my husband because he did not get to eat his and it was really good.
Sharon Barton: Beautiful venue!
Anita Karimu: Beautiful wedding venue with romantic brick interiors! The event catering was also delicious
Natalie Thomas: We loved having Melrose Knitting Mill as our wedding venue. The space is beautiful, the cocktail hour area is fun and unique, and the food is amazing. Our day-of coordinator, Erika, was phenomenal and really made everything smooth and stress-free in the months leading up to the wedding. Can't recommend this venue enough!
Carla Smith: Our daughter had her wedding reception here on April 2. This venue is beautiful with the old brick, wooden beams and hardwood floor. The appetizers, dinner and drinks provided by Mulino’s were delicious. The space accommodated our guests and the staff catered to their needs. They made our day so special.
michelle earp: This place won our hearts. I'll be getting married here in September. Perfect wedding venue.
Kristin Tajlili: I have nothing but positive things to say about Melrose Knitting Mill. Their venue is absolutely stunning, their food's fantastic, and their staff is very responsive and professional. My wedding coordinator, Sarah, couldn't have done a better job planning my wedding. Everything came together and there wasn't a detail missed. I would recommend the Melrose Knitting Mill to anyone looking to get married in the Raleigh area.
Francesca Motayne: We just had our wedding here and wouldn’t change a thing about the venue! We had originally planned a 2020 wedding and had to postpone until 2021, and Jessica Tilton was so helpful as our day of coordinator. She answered all my texts and emails the year(s) leading up to the day and made me feel confident and happy on the big day. We had our ceremony at sunset and the lighting was absolutely beautiful. I usually hate wedding food but the Melrose had such good food. Loved the little grilled cheese and tomato soup poppers at the cocktail hour! The only thing I’d change was having shot glasses at the reception bar, as I guess the bar staff wasn’t used to such a lit crowd lol. Otherwise the perfect venue!
Anna Burby: We had our wedding at Melrose Knitting Mill and everything with the venue, caterers, and planning staff was amazing! We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue or a more helpful and supportive staff!
Lauren Scollard: Melrose Knitting Mill was the absolute perfect venue for our wedding! It was beautiful and the staff went above and beyond to make the night amazing. The venue is in a great location, naturally beautiful and romantic, and the option for an outdoor cocktail hour was a serious plus. Could not recommend this venue enough!
daniel reese: Went here for a wedding and staff was agreat, gotta thank James for keeping a drink in my hand, thank you again
Brett Seay: As a wedding photographer I am at Melrose a lot!! I love working with the people at melrose!
Momchou Momchou: Beautiful venue for a beautiful wedding!
Grayson Massey: We had the most amazing wedding experience. The venue, food, and staff were perfect! We would give it 10 stars if we could!

Market Hall: what do users think?
Lydia Cato: WOW!! We had our wedding ceremony and reception at Market Hall in May 2023, and we cannot say enough good things about them!!! The venue and the staff were absolutely incredible. From the sales director Kristen and the account manager Samantha to the bartending and catering staff- everyone was beyond amazing. We felt so special on our wedding day, because of how attentive, helpful, friendly, and kind everyone was.Market Hall had EXCELLENT communication with us starting from the very first time we toured the venue. We really appreciated their email reminders/check-ins and communication throughout our planning process. We felt so supported! Management was always quick to return our e-mails anytime we had questions.Obviously, the setting of Market Hall in City Market, across from Moore Square, is breathtaking- but the building, furniture provided, and details (beautiful string lighting inside as well as in the streets surrounding the venue) are gorgeous as well.It was important to us to find a venue that had getting ready areas for both the bride AND the groom. Market Hall has 2 separate suites ON SITE, for both the bride and the groom. Not only do they provide space for getting ready- but they also provide drinks and lunch for the bridal parties before the event. As for the food- WOW! They make the best shrimp & grits that I have ever had. We received SO many compliments from our guests who shared that Market Hall has the best wedding food they have ever had. They have unique and delicious food/appetizer offerings that aren't your "typical" basic wedding food offerings- they were all so amazing and memorable. We have continued to receive compliments from friends and family who continue to share what a special and amazing experience they had here.Thank you again to everyone at Market Hall!
Deanna Polito: Having our wedding at Market Hall was an amazing experience. From the planning process, to the day of, everything was taken care of incredibly well. The guests commented about how they received excellent service at the bar during the event, and everyone LOVED the food. The staircase was absolutely beautiful along with the bridal and groom suites. I would highly recommend street closure they offer. Market Hall surpassed our expectations for a wedding venue, and we would recommend it to everyone!
Vanessa Maniuszko: We had a wonderful experience working with Market Hall to host our wedding. Our event manager, Audrey, was extremely helpful throughout the planning process and answered all of our questions very quickly. She was very thorough, accommodating, and went above and beyond to make sure the event went seamlessly. The food was excellent and the staff were very attentive and friendly. It was also very convenient to have tables, chairs, silverware, decor, etc. included in the venue rental. We would highly recommend Market Hall!
Sarah Arden: We had a great event at Market Hall! Kristen, Aislinn, Adam and team were extremely helpful and when our plans increased in complexity they always came with solutions and a willingness to do their very best to help us resolve hurdles in our planning. The food and beverage, both quality and presentation, were top notch and we had so many great comments on how delicious everything was! I would have to say that what we loved best, beyond the exceptional service, was the welcoming and friendly nature of the staff and everyone we had touchpoints with throughout our set-up, event and tear down. The team at at Market Hall really went above and beyond, wearing our shirts, welcoming our guests, and embracing the reason we all came together. We heard only the most amazing feedback and I credit so much of that to your teams attention to detail, friendly and welcoming demeanor, and ability to do everything you could to accommodate us at every turn! Thank you!!!
Veronica De La Rosa - Clark: Fantastic venue for a party in downtown Raleigh. We attended a wedding reception there, and everything was perfect.
Rose Bequet: Market Hall staff kept us on track during the planning process and made everything seamless for my parents 35th Anniversary Party. Food was excellent! Bar service was OUTSTANDING (major props to the bartenders - they were friendly, engaging with the guest, and all around wonderful). Food was on time and delicious - our guests especially loved the oyster bar! Really everything was perfect!
Michelle Foley: Market Hall made everything SO easy for our wedding and everything went off without a hitch. Multiple guests said it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. Having food beverage and rentals (chairs, tables) all in one place made it really easy. The staff is fantastic to work with. If you want your event to be as stress free as possible and in the heart of downtown Raleigh 10/10 recommend Market Hall
Mark Ramsey: Shelley was great in all aspects of organization. From choosing the right floor layout, to ensuring the theflow of the event, everything was great from an organizational perspective. Being able to taste the food before the event ensured we were confident in the menu we were providing to guests. The venue itself was perfect for our holiday party, especially having a space for a cocktail hour before. Overall this was a great event and the market hall staff were very professional. Communication was great and they ensured that we had everything we needed. The food was beyond amazing and the venue itself was tastefully decorated for the holidays.
Karen Burke: Lovely set up, simple and bordering on elegant. Not sure if the caterers were part of the venue or separate, but they were totally on task, and lots of smiles. One of the exit doors has a step down which needs to be addressed.
Meaghan Gelinski: The space was beautiful! The presentation and staff service was fabulous. I heard positive feedback from the attendees about the quality of the food served as well. Communication during the planning process was thorough and clear, and my emails were always answered promptly. I enjoyed having the opportunity to have a couple of video planning calls, it made it much more personal and gave me great confidence in the execution of the event. It was also fantastic to have access to the event portal to review and make adjustments to the floorplan as needed. Definitely recommend!
Tien Cao: Beautiful place for wedding ceremony.
Stephanie Milosh: I've had the opportunity to work at Market Hall in Downtown Raleigh a number of times through the years, and I love how each couple is able to transform the space and make it their own. The neutral colors and industrial vibe are a blank canvas, and the wooden divider wall between ceremony and reception space is a beautiful backdrop. The dressing suites are comfortable and the venue includes food for the wedding parties. The food from the in-house caterers are always incredible, and the photo opportunities in surrounding downtown are endless - plus, everyone loves the cobblestone road right outside! Always happy to plan weddings in this beautiful venue.
Drew Walton: Played several wedding gigs here, very nice venue.
Amie Wise: If I could give this venue 20 stars I 100% would!!!!The whole evening was more than words can ever describe. I am sure that everyone says they would go back and do it again, but I truly enjoyed every minute of the day. From the bridal suit to the ceremony to the reception everything was fabulous!!!I want to say thank you!!! Thank you to each and every person that was involved with the planning/set up/catering/severing of our wedding. The staff was so happy and truly enjoyed being there, their excitement and happiness was noticed by all the guests. Thank you!!!!PS: If anyone wants to invite me to their wedding I will happily come!! Anything to enjoy Market Hall again!
Tessa Toomey: FANTASTIC experience with this venue and all who work there. Kristen was wonderful in the beginning when we were looking for a perfect venue for our company event and answered any questions or concerns I had really quickly, and was just awesome with providing information about the venue. The person who was integral to our event's success though was Katie, the event manager at Market Hall, who we worked with as the event date got closer. She was efficient, informative, responsive and patient, and offered us great ideas as to how we could make our event run more smoothly or look more beautiful. On the day of, we were missing a podium and she miraculously had one appear before our event started, she answered every annoying text question I sent her at 6am that morning, knew everything about the crazy parking situation downtown, and just had everything covered wonderfully and made our lives so much easier on the event day. Also, the venue is GORGEOUS, the staff were kind and efficient, and many of our guests came up to tell us how amazing the food was. I can't say enough good things about this venue. The best experience possible.
Hilla Singh: A nice event venue with good food but the toilet wasn't functioning
Stephanie Garcia: Cardinal Gibbons High School held their 2022 PROM at Marketing Hall. To say it was AMAZING is an understatement. Katie and her staff were incredible to work with, and we couldn't be happier with the venue and their service. Market Hall in collaboration with Themeworks Creative threw an awesome party for 700+ students and chaperones! We look forward to working with them again in the future!
Scott Hammer: Great venue, wonderful staff, would definitely recommend having an event here!
Joel Keefer: Nice space for small events.
Amy Henning: We hosted our biggest corporate non-profit event of the year at Market Hall, and it was a huge success!Audrey and the whole team were so helpful in the months leading up to our event and on the day of. The food was delicious, and many of our attendees commented on the quality. We appreciated that there were healthy yet filling options, and the team accommodated all of our dietary requirements easily. I would absolutely host another event here in the future!
Monica Schario: Great service

The Fairview Raleigh: what do users think?
cameron miller: Beautiful experience
Anthony Ma: The Fairview is a great venue for large parties and social gatherings. We hosted our 2023 Prom here for South Garner High and had an amazing time. There was lots of space for dancing and leisure. The bathrooms were also very clean and nice. The only downside is that parking here is very limited, so if it is a particularly large gathering, consider having a party bus, carpooling with others, or do drop-offs.
Khoa Vo: I booked an event at this location a while back right before Covid was a thing. Once Covid happened and Raleigh placed restrictions to not allow a gathering of more than 5 people I had to obviously cancel. They never refunded my deposit in a situation that no one could ever have predicted.
Elise Hunter: Very nice place love the atmosphere. Great place for a party.
Anita White: Excellent venue for my niece wedding.
Alex Benavides: Very nice place for weddings and quinceañeras.
S Gibbs: The space itself is phenomenal, there are so many different functions that could be held in the space!
Brian Biddle: The Fairview is ONE venue where you can actually design your party in exactly the way you want to. The space has endless possibilities and opportunites for creating a unique and beautiful design. The team has more experience In the events industry than anyone can imagine. Downtown Raleigh is lucky to have such an increadible venue !
JennJenn: Great venue, very intimate.
Audrey Velazquez: Nice place!
Jacob Wonder: Beautiful venue, my church has only had great experiences here!
David Clough: I was hired as a bartender by a client who hosted their wedding at The Fairview Raleigh. I was very impressed with the facility!
George Galachiuk: Always great and very clean. Staff is very accommodating
Frank Haidar: It might look nice, however, there are many problematic issues at this venue! First it doesn't provide amenities, like kitchen ones. It charges for everything unlike other venues. It doesn't have the proper personnel to help organizers. And other things!!!
KINGSCOUNTY MAYOR 1: EXCEPTIONALLY Excellent
Ursula Harscheid: Went to a special event there last night. Rolls were cold and hard. Dinner was lukewarm and served on cold plates. Hors doeuvres never got to our table. Acoustics and/or av made it difficult to understand the speaker. I would never hold a major event there.
Roberto Capetto: Good place for banquets
Aaron Cannon: Wonderful venue with a beautiful skyline view! All the benefits of a downtown wedding and no parking issues for your guests. Owners go above and beyond to see your vision come to life. You can also save a bundle by purchasing your own alcohol instead of hiring a bar service. It is a very reasonable price for everything that is included!
Jeffrey Black: Convenient
April Burnette: Want a great event space check out the Fairview. We at Mixerz bar service & staffing love to do events at this venue !!
Angela Coleman: It was a nice space for the event I attended.

1705 East: what do users think?
Kyle & Taylor Marker: We were looking for a venue where everything was all-encompassing and came across 1705 East...it was perfect! The venue is beautiful, location is convenient, and the fact that food and drinks are all combined with the venue through Rocky Top Catering, made everything so easy! We worked with both Quann and Karlee, and both were incredible and very quick to respond to any questions we had throughout the process.
Blane Rice: Wonderful place for wedding event and rehearsal dinner! Service was outstanding atmosphere was very good and the food was delicious! What more can you ask for? Very satisfied! Vicki is awesome!
Marc Snyder: No handicap parking in front of building or ramp.
Kristen Whitney: We had our ceremony and reception at 1705 and it was hands down the best experience! 1705 is a true GEM in the Raleigh area. It is accessible, convenient and beautiful! It is one of the few venues that offers catering (by the renown Rocky Top), bar service and a separate indoor ceremony/reception space and cocktail hour space. With 1705 we did not have to worry about catering, flatware, bar service, tables/chairs, cake cutting service, etc etc. It was all included in the venue, which is extremely rare compared to the long list of venues I evaluated! Even better they have a fully functioning kitchen so our food came out fresh and warm and boy did we get so many compliments on it from our guests!! They can easily accommodate indoor and outdoor weddings, something that was very important to us as we were getting married in December. But I’d be remiss to not mention one of my favorite parts of 1705, and that’s Quann Bradley. He is hands down the BEST venue manager I have ever encountered. He is flexible, easy to work with, fun, honest, and I could go on and on! I hope Rocky Top knows how much of a STAR they have in Quann! He worked tirelessly to make our day go perfectly and had waiters following my husband and I around to ensure we were fed and able to enjoy drinks during our cocktail hour and reception. He is just so amazing and I felt so lucky to work with him. I couldn’t have imagined our perfect day anywhere other than 1705. It is a RARE GEM in the Raleigh area. Thank you Quann and the RT staff for making our day incredible!
Matt Kucmyda: Absolutely phenomenal experience. My now wife and I had our ceremony and reception here, catered by Rocky Top Catering. Everything from viewing the venue to planning everything to execution was flawless. I cannot recommend this venue (or catering company) enough. Thank you everyone who made the Kucmyda wedding one that everyone will talk about
Taylor: Unfortunately have been trying to get in touch with 1705 for the last few weeks to get our site visit rescheduled and it has been nothing but a hassle. The day of our tour I was emailed a few hours in advance in regards to a reschedule (was already on the way so didn’t check my emails) and when arrived nobody was there. No phone call was made when I didn’t respond to email. Mind you this was the day of. It was really frustrating. Have been trying to reschedule a visit for weeks and the communication has been extremely poor. The catering company, Rocky Top, are the only ones who were responsive in a reasonable time manor. I gave up after not hearing back from Karlee or Quann once again.
Sheila Cain: Our God Daughter Wedding Ceremony was Awesome and this Venue
Beth Dine: I just got to marry the love of my life at this venue and it was beyond the best day of my life. The venue was great, but what made it even better was Quann and his staff. He went above and beyond to make our dream wedding come true. I could rave about them all day, but just want to say thank you for our fairytale! If you can’t tell I highly recommend :) !
Wendy Nicholson: The venue beautiful. We had a great time celebrating my niece wedding.
Saajid Haque: Positive:Professionalism,QualityWe hosted our wedding at 1705 East and worked with Quann. He was the absolute best! The food was delicious and all our guests raved about how awesome the staff was that helped with the event. Quann and his team were great and we had the time of our lives thanks to them!
Ms. Tee: Beautiful
C Foust: Very elegant place
Angela Ridgeway-Patterson: Very elegant!
Teba Dunbar: Recently got married at 1705 in August. The venue was amazing!!!! We worked with Quann Bradley who went above and beyond our expectations to ensure that everything went according to plan. Quann was there for any questions we had and responded in a timely fashion. Quann was attentive to details and was a very big help. The service there was exceptional, food was great and it was overall a good time had at 1705 East. The staff was friendly and engaged. We couldn’t have asked for anything else.
Chazzmania 62: Nice venue, nice bar.. bathroom kinda smells from the groom throwing up all over the place.
Karen Hector: Very nice place and Quan is so people oriented and he has excellent customer service skills. We are having my son's wedding reception there tomorrow June 25th so I'll be writing an updated review!
Pat Hockaday: Positive:Professionalism,QualityIt was a nice venue and great staff member he went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable.
Nadia Ince: Attended my first pop up shop here and it was absolutely amazing. I love the space. I believe you can rent this space out for different kinds of events.
Patricia Taylor: Beautiful venue. Excellent management!
Theresa Syros: The Food and service is amazing
skylar coley: I truly wish this experience with RTC was as good as what we paid for. We’ve been in contact with Rocky Top Catering for at least the last two years. I have been super excited to use their venue 1705 East as well as have a delicious meal prepared by their amazing chefs. Our original wedding date was 5/31/2020. Naturally, we had our menu selected, invitations sent, and our expectations set extremely high by our coordinator Kayla Miles. Once COVID hit, we made the decision to move our wedding back to 8/23/2020. We had to make serious cut backs to our guest count and were given strict guidelines to follow to stay compliant with COVID-19 regulations. After being handed off to the sales director, Carol Sasseen, I was nervous but hopeful the experience would still be pleasant regardless of the lack of communication from her or really anyone else on the staff, after we lost Kayla. Venue looked great. Everything was going fine until I realized the plate I was served contained none of the items I selected, paid for, and signed off on. I tried to be polite, because it was my wedding day and told Carol everyone was eating it and seemed to like it although it wasn’t what we selected. Today 8/24, I reached out to Carol and told her I was extremely disappointed with what happened. Sent her all of the email correspondence between myself and Kayla after deciding on the menu, and even provided photo evidence of the menu that was approved and signed by Rocky Top Employee, Kayla Miles. Asked her to call my husband to discuss what would happen from here. Carol stated to my husband she sent me a proposal that I “didn’t look at” signing off on the food that was served. My records indicate that the proposal I was sent highlighted the changes made to my guest count, number of tables and so forth. After looking deeper into my correspondence, Carol evidently thought the sample menu that was provided to me by Kayla Miles to help my Husband and I understand how a typical menu is laid out, was in fact what we selected. She told my Husband it was my fault and refused to do anything about the mistake that was made. We didn’t ask for all of our money back, we just said “hey we paid 2600$ for the food we selected based off the many tastings we attended and you didn’t provide the service we selected and paid for.” I am extremely disappointed with the customer service here and the lack of accountability by the staff. I understand COVID has provided financial burden to everyone including vendors like RTC. However, we paid OUR hard earned money to have the kind of wedding we wanted. We’ve contacted our lawyer and I hope someone from RTC decides to return my husbands call so we can discuss what happens from here.

The Cannon Room: what do users think?
Daisy Eklund: I don't usually post bad reviews, but I felt like I needed to with this experience. I am getting married in December and had my eye on the Cannon Room for a while. I set up a visit in December and from the start things were disoriented. It seemed the staff wasn't communicating because I set up a time to go visit then got a call from a different person about setting up a visit, then there was confusion on if I could even come visit that day.I did go visit, and although the venue is beautiful, I believe it is misleading. There was no way I could fit the amount of people I was inviting in there, even though I was told they could. There is only one room, so cocktail hour would have to be somewhere else. Also, the "bridal suite" was nothing more than a tiny square office room on the floor below that they "convert" into a bridal suite (whatever that means). As far as the visit goes, the person giving the tour had very little knowledge of the venue itself and expressed to us that he was "mostly catering." Overall, the "tour" felt rushed and I gained next to no insight from it.Now on to Rocky Top Catering. I eventually chose another venue and started to price out my catering options. Although my Cannon Room experience hadn't been great, I decided to contact Rocky Top because I had already spoken with them and I needed to price out options in the Triangle area. There is absolutely no information on pricing on their website, so the only way to find out is to call. When I got on the phone with the employee, it was rapid fire questions. When I told her my budget, the phone call was quickly over. She made me feel less-than for having a smaller budget, even though there was no way to know what they would charge without asking over the phone. This whole experience has left me with a bad taste in my mouth, and I would suggest that if you want more than 50 people at your wedding and are on a budget, don't even bother with this place.
Tim Wright: Excellent food and atmosphere. Parking was tough though
Vicki W: Went to my nieces wedding. It was decorated so beautiful. We had a great time celebrating.
Megan Marten: Such a beautiful venue! Rocky Top Catering manages this space and I can't say enough - Great food, amazing attention to detail and incredible staff! RTC took great care of us and our guests. Highly recommend the Cannon Room for your next event! Thank you so much for making our 10 Year Anniversary party so memorable, RTC team!
April Howard: I “Goggled” venues and the Cannon Room popped up. I reserved this venue for a surprise birthday party for my husband and I am so happy that we booked this space. It was absolutely gorgeous, the atmosphere was great, and everyone love the view, I love natural light, and it was in abundance. Teresa was great, helpful, and very friendly. I will definitely use this place again.
Rebecca S: This event space is stunning! Beautiful views of downtown from the 12th floor!
i die 2 fast: Great venue first time and won't be that last.
Matt Trogdon: Gorgeous venue, excellent staff, beautiful views of the area. We visited for a wedding and were impressed with the space.
Keith Dorn: They cancelled the venue for my friend bc of COVID. They then said that they wouldn’t give any of the deposit bc of “no refunds” even though the venue cancelled, not us. We had to call the attorney general to get refunded. Horrible people, don’t support them.
Theresa Syros: Right in the heart of Raleigh with an amazing view. The food was amazing.
Nadezda Serrano: SCAM!!! Non-existing business!!!! listed phone number is belong a different business located in Clayton NC
Alzebeth Roman: If I could give this place 100 stars, I would!1) The venue space is INCREDIBLE. The best views of Raleigh with mix of city and nature out of the windows (which span 3 out of the 4 walls). The natural light, bar, and all of the amenities (includes tables, chairs, COUCHES, etc) really make it so simple for couples to focus on the other details of their day.2) The staff, wow, where do I even get started... they really helped this #RonaCouple figure out the best options with what we had available. Sarah is AMAZING. She's responsive and a blast to work with.3) As a budget-conscious bride, I felt like their pricing was super reasonable AND they have a recommended vendor list with vendors at different price points! You can also choose your own vendors not on the list as long as you get them approved!4) LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION. It is within walking distance of great hotels and restaurants and parks, this place has got it all 3.
Ashlee Phillips: The venue is stunning and the people are so accommodating. I couldn't be more impressed!
Alexia Crossman: Beautiful natural light, stunning historic architecture, amazing downtown Raleigh location. Could you ask for any more in a wedding venue?I've partnered with the Cannon Room on a number of styled wedding shoots. You can't beat the beauty of this venue! Would definitely recommend this location to my clients looking for an intimate wedding venue!(Photos by Adelyn Boling Photography)
Whitney McMorris: The Cannon Room was truly the perfect wedding venue for my husband and I. We wanted our wedding to be classy and timeless, with a touch of fancy. The white walls and tall windows created the perfect vibe for us. There is a grooms suite and a bridal suite in the building which allowed for seemless transitions throughout the day. Our guest list fell right at 110, the room was full but not too crowded, and there was plenty of room on the dance floor for everyone to dance the night away!Christie was fantastic to work with and she truly made our vision come to life. She was so easy to communicate with and spent so much time with us to make sure everything was what we wanted. I highly recommend this venue.
Bryan “DigitalB” Tomlinson: The best event space
Alexandra Graham: Amazing little space with great natural light!
Kate Catlin Payne: What a neat space with gorgeous natural light.
JacQuetta Williams: Overall it was everything we expected for our baby shower. However, there were some issues during set up that left a bad taste in our mouths. As we were decorating and preparing there were a number of tours during the allocated rental time. One, in particular, was within minutes before the guest began to arrive. We found that to be insensitive and voiced it however it was overlooked. Also, it was not mentioned that we were expected to bring our own trash bags for clean up. That should be discussed during the initial contract of the rental. Moving forward I would expect more client sensitivity and communication to future renters. Again, this is a beautiful space however there is room for improvement as far as customer service is concerned.
Dennis Cullen: As a vendor who provides servers and bartenders and who works at multiple venues per year I can tell you The Cannon Room is one of my favorites. The space is open and bright with beautiful downtown views but what sets it apart is the staff who are accommodating, kind, efficient and will do what it takes to make your event amazing. Christie is at the top of her game when it comes to communication, coordinating and arranging the space to fit any size wedding or party.

The Dock at Seaboard Station: what do users think?
Trenton Menius: Gorgeous and chic, with extremely helpful and coordinated staff onsite. I worked this venue as part of a vendor team and was very pleased with all aspects of the operation. You can count on them to make all the moving parts of an event work in unison, and really deliver the guest experience that couples are hoping for when they dream up their big day.
Gail Augustine: This place ROCKS. It is a great spot to host your private event, wedding, shower, or whatever you'd like. The owner, Richelle, was on top of everything. She went over and beyond to make sure we didn't stress. We had plenty of chairs, and she was readily available if we needed anything. Most definitely recommend Traine at Seaboard Station for your event.
Tamra Vanderhorst: Great venue. Backdrops for photo ops with greenery available on the "dock". Parking available within walking distance.
Nicole Conder: Our clients have always enjoyed working at Traine! With the revamping of Seaboard Station, Traine is going to be even better than before! (Hooray for that huge parking deck!) We are so excited to see all the new/fun things on the horizon!
Laura Reese: The Dock was the perfect wedding venue for us. We loved that we could do everything all in one place (staged getting ready photos, ceremony, reception). We had 112 guests and felt like there was plenty of room. Nicole was very easy to work with and explained everything fully. We did luck out and have a beautiful day where we could fully use the garage doors and outdoor area. We couldn't have asked for a better venue/day!
Doug Burke: Great place to host a wedding!
Lis B.: Great Venue, good communication
Nicole Muller: Great venue! The Dock was perfect for our wedding size of about 115/120 people and the space is gorgeous! It lets all the details and decor and people of the wedding shine! I loved our set up with the dance floor next to the patio. The bridal suite was spacious and so cute! Nicole was great at answering our questions and making sure everything was perfection! I hope I get to come to The Dock again for another event!
Bridget Dickinson: Beautiful venue
Brooke Robotti: Richelle Norman, a very pleasant woman, worked at and owned this venue when it was called Traine. We were initially very pleased with this venue, with everything running smoothly. And then communication start changing. We noticed that a new lady named Nicole took over the venue but it wasn’t until we went to have our first in person meeting that she told us she was the new owner. We were so excited for her new purchase and had high hopes for the future of what was now The Docks (even though we had already printed our invitations). It did not take long for that positive trajectory to switch gears. After taking over, we were forced to sign a new contract disallowing our dogs that were initially to be included in the wedding. We were able to push back on that but still lost some other promises that were made to us initially by Richelle. Our dogs came, did exactly what they were supposed to do and left promptly, as she requested. Additionally, the drafted contracts were completely disorganized and very obviouslycopied and pasted from another document so that dates, times, and locations were all incorrect and inapplicable to our agreement. This new contract would have been a manipulative ploy for us to spend more money had we not caught these changes ahead of time. Not only this, but she forgot she added a portion about providing drinks until we brought it up to her the night before when she told us that she wasn’t responsible for providing water. Then, the renovations began. We are a lesbian couple with a large wedding party that really loved the large bridal suite on site. Without mention, she immediately changed it so that it was split in half and a new suite (one that you had to walk outside the building to access - not favorable on our rainy wedding day) was added. Because of this change, there was not enough space for the bridal party to get ready, so we had to get an AirBnB and we’re unable to use the bridal suite that morning, costing us over $1000. She also added an accent wall the weekend before our wedding and told my wife “well, it will either be done or it won’t.”Moreover, she generally just has a terrible attitude and demeanor around guests and other vendors. She made inappropriate remarks to our vendors about how she will happily throw away any decorations left behind after our time is up and that we have better thought about what to do with our tree decorations because “she won’t be dealing with those.” And that we were “cheaping out” on our food and “this is what we get”. Not to mention that she forced staff to start cleaning up 1.5 hours before the end of our contracted event up time so that people had nowhere to sit, causing many of our guests to leave early. She made other vendors do tasks that they should not be required to do bc she very obviously doesn’t want to pay her staff to clean up her own venue. So many people came up to my wife and I to complain about her attitude and inflexibility. We were made to feel like an inconvenience to her even though we were paid up and hadn’t been intentionally offensive or unhelpful.Overall, we left the wedding wanting to change absolutely nothing except our venue. When Nicole doesn’t even have enough decency and professionalism to speak to the brides/bride and groom/grooms at the rehearsal or on the day of the wedding, you kind of know it’s a place you won’t bother to recommend to anyone else in the future.
Clark Frazier: Awesome venue for your wedding! Staff is professional and extremely friendly! The place is gorgeous, the wedding planner is one of the best I've ever worked with and the owner is a wonderful host!
Evie Nguyen: Our experience working with Nicole was short, but wonderful. She took over ownership of the venue in the few weeks before our wedding day, but she quickly jumped right in to answer our many questions and handle all last minute logistics with our day fast approaching. We truly appreciated her honesty and willingness to help us stick to the details of our original contract despite changes inevitable with an ownership transition. In just the few weeks we worked with her, she made some wonderful updates to the venue we were so thankful we could experience and we quickly knew we were in great hands. Nicole’s belief in the potential and future growth of the venue is evident and I’m so excited for her future brides!
The Montague's: Nice venue to rent out for any occasion but I was there for a wedding and it was beautiful!
Chamaine Gibbs: Nice place
Elizabeth Larson: Wonderful business. Richelle is amazing! The place always looks great! Inside and out!!
Jan McDonald: Elegant and old fashioned feel. Nice space to entertain for almost any kind of venue.
Cynthia Carlson: Nice venue.
Monica DeSha: This place was absolutely beautiful prefect for weddings and great for large parties and celebrations. It's off a side street in downtown so it's pretty Private. The only thing I didn't like was the shared parking with other shops. You'll have to walk a little bit to get to vehicle or you can have VIP parking if it's offered. I would still go here again. And I recommend it.
Lindsey Davis: Beautiful location. The atmosphere is great and Richelle was very helpful to my fiance and I when we were scrambling trying to find a new venue when ours closed suddenly. Prices are very good too considering.
Liz Perniciaro: We did a styled shoot there, and the event manager was super nice, and very helpful! I am looking forward to working with them again.
Daniel Sawyer: The perfect venue for our perfect day! From the moment we met with Beth Earley, she went above and beyond to answer all of our questions and helped us in every way possible to execute our wedding reception vision. Traine’s hard-wood floors, white-painted brick, and exposed cross beams create a charming space that coupled perfectly with our décor. The rolling garage doors that open to the patio provided additional space and a market-like atmosphere on the night of our reception. Many of our guests commented that the valet staff was extremely courteous, and we personally witnessed the bartenders working diligently to serve everyone quickly while remaining personal and interactive. We would highly recommend Traine based on its location and aesthetic alone, however the staff made Traine one of the best vendors we worked with and played an integral role in one of the best days of our lives!#sawyerlovebyrds2019

City Club Raleigh: what do users think?
Helen Blount (Passioncare): Dinner was great! Jonathan was the chef on duty, the steak was so juicy and delicious. Excellent customer service, Jasmine was amazing. Still considering being a club member.
B K: We are so excited to be new members of the City Club. The views are amazing, the staff super sweet, and the activity calendar offers lots of opportunity to meet new people, can't wait to get started.
Waqar Malik: Great place for good service and good food. Enjoyed Mother's Day brunch with the whole family
Brad Gold (NCNYChief): I was here for a meeting and I'm not a member, bit or was wonderful. The views of the city are spectacular. I can't really speak to much else
Henry M. Lancaster II: Comfortable environment
Tyson Duerrich: Wow!!! Amazing facility, atmosphere and with a great view.
David Gill John: So far, so good. I am a returning member, and it appears to have changed for the better.
Priscilla Garland: Excellent food, wait staff and ambiance - was there for lunch with coworkers
Edith Berry: The ambiance and composition of the building were par excellence! The food was tasty too! I modeled a vintage hat collection for a birthday event.
Crash Gregg: Gorgeous space atop the Wells Fargo building in downtown Raleigh. A perfect location for meetings -large or small, a great meal with a client or co-worker, or an easy escape from the office to get some work done. The exemplary service and the panaramic skyline views done hurt either.
Amanda Alberico: Love the views and meeting space!!
Michael W.: With this review, I sent them a notice to cancel and all I got back was a canned email that I'm sure they send everyone. These people don't care about their clientele and based on the revolving door at the staff level...it shows.. The picture attached is what you get for $87. A 14 ounce steak bone included-no sides. I used to go to this Club for the dining experience but when I heard they got a new chef....well...they got a new chef and boy have things gone downhill in a bad way. My steak was $60 and then they added in a 21% service fee (in addition to my monthly membership fee) and then I still needed to add in a 21% tip for the server who had the nerve to ask me if we wanted a bread service. Take your money and go somewhere else. Golden Corral cooks a better steak than what I got that night...A guest that was with me that night could not believe they had shrimp fried rice on the menu and said it would served in a take home cardboard Chinese restaurant box....Really...what an out of touch choice.
Bennett David: The food and drinks here are absolutely amazing. Couple this with the views and you’ll have a nice place to take a date, or to have a business lunch or dinner. There also lots of conference rooms accessible to members, included with your membership.
Julia Horvath: Wow. If you've never been, try try try to go. It sucks you have to be a member to go, but a member can bring you as a quest! This place has good food, great service, and AMAZING views. You can also do your work from a nicely designated area too.
Sam Hebda: By far one of the best views in Raleigh and most importantly they are incredible people! The whole team is awesome and the service is top tier. Highly recommend.
TheKatboo2350: Always wonderful
George Reid: Great view. Excellent service. Great menu. The chef is very creative .
Denise O'Neal: It's a beautiful place! Very clean and well presented. Excellent customer service delicious food and fantastic drinks! The view is pretty nice as well
Pete Munos: I was there for a company sponsored event. Nice layout on the top floor of the Wells Fargo building. Great tapas spread.
Andy Honeycutt: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Brian Ralph: Great facility, outstanding service.

C3 at The Venue: what do users think?
Wayne Bostick: Friendly staff and clean.
Vincent Woodard: If you're looking for a fun-filled evening with laughter and good vibes, then C3 at The Venue is the perfect place for you! My wife and I had a blast attending the Christian comedy show, and we couldn't have asked for a better time. The event space is well-organized and the host comedian, Chinnita Morris, did an outstanding job of keeping the audience engaged throughout the night. Her jokes were on point, and her timing was impeccable. We also enjoyed the acts on the ticket, and they had us laughing until our stomachs hurt. The atmosphere was electric, and everyone was in high spirits. The energy in the room was infectious, and it was evident that the performers were having a good time on stage. The only downside we experienced was that the general admission seats were not big person friendly. However, this was a minor issue, and it didn't affect our overall experience. We still had a great time, and we would definitely attend another event at C3 at The Venue. In conclusion, C3 at The Venue is a top-notch event space that provides quality entertainment for people of all ages. The Christian comedy show was an absolute blast, and we highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and uplifting night out.
Celeste “Lola” Brewster: Great venue, I heard the rates were good also from prior clients. I attended an event and thought the location was good as well.
Sandi Briscoe: Very nice place, but the location is somewhat hidden. They need a more noticeable lighted sign, especially when you're traveling at night.
Ashley Jones: Hosted a company event with 40 peopleFirst off, I think your venue is beautiful and has great potential. I also think Chris is amazing, and if anyone host events, he should be your guy. He was attentive all night, had a bubbly personality and was nice to all of my coworkers. However, the service, the food and the other staff members' attitudes were not at all what I was expecting.Anytime I asked any questions that night to any staff member outside of Chris, I was presented with a rude, condescending attitude. This is not something I just noticed, but other people who were around when I was spoken too, or just in general dealing with your staff. Johnny does not need to be involved with your customers. I was made aware he is the owner, and he needs to do just that. He should manage from behind the scenes. When I got there initially, he was still setting up and Chris was not there yet or had left for a second and he just wasn't friendly at all. When I went to the bar to figure out what you had to offer and noticed the premixed margarita mix, I was absolutely shocked. I said from the beginning that the Don Julio and margaritas would have been the drink of the night. Why would you buy premixed margarita mix with a cheaper liquor in it instead of having or making a standard margarita with lime mix and triple sec? When I voiced my disappointment with him, he was defensive, and I guess offended that I even had a problem with it. I also asked when we were getting two bartenders because I knew people would stay up there and he had an attitude about that. I see Chris not only had to host, but cook the food, and come bartend. I had one coworker say he tried to get a beer a few minutes before 7 and Johnny wouldn't even let him. The shots that were given were half of shots all night which made their job that much harder because people had to keep going up there for more. A sign was put up at 10:30 that the bar would close, which was super alarming and Chris had to tell me that it was just to restock. Honestly for the amount of time we had the venue, it should never close you should have staff on hand to restock as needed, just like a restaurant would have. Then the bar was closed at 12, when we had the event until 1. No one ever told us that. If we had known that we would have made sure to get last minute drinks. Not to mention when I did go up there for shots at the end, I was rudely told by Johnny that the number of shots I requested would not be possible so I had to tell Chris to give me as many as he could. From the very beginning, I told your staff this was a crew that would be drinking a lot. It seems like you guys were not at all prepared.During the appetizer hour, I asked an older lady if she would be the only one serving the appetizers. She was also very rude and said that no you had staff, they were all in the kitchen, that if I had any concerns about anything she knew nothing, and I should go see Johnny at the bar. By that time, I wasn't going to Johnny for anything, and I told her I would only speak to Chris moving forward and her response was "well Johnny is the owner." The appetizers were decent, and no one complained but that main course was horrible. The prime rib was rubbery, and you served butter knives with it. Both of the pastas were cold. You guys had no warmers under anything to keep the food hot.If I was to recommend you guys to anyone, it would be for the venue only. We paid a lot of money and the way I was treated that night, along with the services we were provided, was extremely disappointing and upsetting. I do want to say thank you to Chris for trying so hard that night to make it a good night, but we will not be returning, nor will I be recommending your venue to anyone else.Thank you,
7713: I traveled to attend a wedding here. The location was nice, the floors definitely weren't moped from the event the night before, some of the wait staff were extremely skilled and the ones that weren't didn't understand stand the importance of silence while there are speeches being made.I was extremely shocked that they ran out of drinking glasses, no salt & pepper shakers were on our table. This venue for sure has extreme potential.
Events By Ebony: Had a great experience. Everyone there was lovely to work with. We can't wait to work there again.
Mason Atwell: Approximately half of our entire party was actually fed. Our event theme was a club dinner, yet wedding decorations remained throughout the room. Environment is not reflective of the embellished photos shown online. When we approached management about our concerns, we were met with unprofessionalism and incompetence to handle the situation. They refused to have civil discussion with us, demanding to talk to our "advisor" when all representatives were present. A genuine displeasure to work with and highly advise you go elsewhere.
Langdon Boliek: Book any other venue anywhere before you book this company. Worst customer service ever. Whole company is a scam. Can’t make good food and the bartenders can’t make drinks and charge you $10 for a half mixed drink that could be made at a high school house party.
Ryder Seiz: Horrible customer service. Absolute scam. Bartenders can’t make a single drink you want. Food was slow and not enough. Do not book
Brandon Smith: I honestly would not recommend this place to anyone. It seemed like they cut a lot of corners. The building was very hot and muggy. The food they served was very subpar (the rice was watery and crunchy). I got one refill on my sweet tea in 6 hours. The mixed drinks were $10 for about 4 oz of mostly soda. The venue itself is nice but the management/staff make the experience not worth it.
Jaydon Smith: When i say this place did terrible i mean it. First of all we were hosting a wedding there and at the actual wedding we didnt have any electricity so we couldnt have our dj outside. This was a great place to hold an event but the staff were just terrible. The food was also bad, the rice was so undercooked i almost gagged when i put it in my mouth, the salmon was edible but undercooked. The ac was not on and we were sweating like pigs in a boiler. I would also not recommend this place to anyone i know. The drinks were way too expensive and it was about 2oz of wine for 9 dollars. Just disgusting
Cynthia C: Large venue which is great for parties, conferences, etc. Bar and food setup section. Very nice place to socialize
Darryl Allen: Great venue
Moira Grace: Edwina is very friendly and professional. I look foward to seeing the finished renovations of the C3 at the Venue. It's a beautiful, industrial, and urban venue!
Demietric Burch: At a wedding I attended, I had the wonderful chance to experience this amazing catering service. The food was absolutely amazing. Every bite was great and it was all accompanied by courteous and attentive staff who anticipated our needs. I would highly recommend this service.
Demetrius Holder: I can’t stop thinking about how amazing you, the staff, and the food was. The guests also can’t stop talking about the serviceand food you and the staff provided!!I’m so thankful for you and for everything that you did, everything was spectacular!!!EXCELLENTThank you!
Randy Downey: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThe food is prepared and presented very eye appealing. More importantly it's very tasty! All concerns and questions were addressed and answered professionally!
Elder Elizabeth Hinton: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThis company offers delicious quality food at an affordable price. The professionalism of the staff is from the beginning inquiry to the completion of your event. The customer care is impeccable. I would recommend this company if you want your event to be the best.
Johnny Starks: Positive:ProfessionalismC3 at the Venue is an all inclusive establishment where you can hold your event, have it catered, and have access to full amenities including a full bar. The staff is professional and the services are five star. I highly recommend this business for any type of event anyone is planning.
