Archadeck of Raleigh Durham and the Greater Triangle: what do users think?
Spencer Mccrumb: Had a Pergola built on top of a recent stone patio extension. Every step of the way our needs and desires on the project were heard and multiple options were given. The work was impeccable and the moved stonework was put back perfectly once completed. I could not be happier with the craftmanship, service, and attitude of everyone I spoke with and met with.Special note: We were given a 6 month estimated time to start and it was started and finished within 6 weeks because of clever scheduling and availability.I fully recommend them for outdoor projects!
Steve Webster: Contacted them for a 3 season sunroom conversion...got a quick response and now telling me.they have suspended these projects with no explanation...have to keep looking
Aimee K: Very pleased we went with Archadeck to build our new screened porch and composite deck. Their sales and design team helped us turn a general idea into a clear vision for a relaxing multipurpose outdoor space. Communication was excellent throughout the contracting, permitting, demo, and build process. We were especially grateful for extra communication when things didn't go according to plan, such as weather delays or unexpected inspections needed. Subcontractors were extremely professional and did quality work. Costs were comparable to 2 other quotes received for the same project. We highly recommend Archadeck.Services:Patio decks,Composite decks,Deck design,Deck replacement,Porch construction,Patio enclosure construction
A Carolyn Wright: From the first project consultation through the entire construction process, I have been very pleased with all aspects of the work performed by Archadeck of Raleigh-Durham. The sales, office, delivery, and construction teams provided a well-coordinated process that produced a quality product that I will enjoy for many years! I would not hesitate to call Archadeck of Raleigh-Durham for future projects.Services:Deck railing repair,Deck design,Deck replacement
George Kafes: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessArchadeck of Raleigh-Durham did a FANTASTIC JOB designing and executing a challenging composite deck project and we couldn't be happier with the result! I'd highly recommend Archadeck for your outdoor living project needs!!!Services:Deck installation,Composite decks,Deck design
Arundhati Murthy: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueBuilt a screened in porch for me. Very easy to work with - responsive and took care of all of the coordination with subcontractors, permitting, etc. All of the subcontractors did a good job and cleaned up after themselves. All in all job well done with very little effort on my part. Would highly recommend.Service:Porch construction
Jacqui Hakooz: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessOur experience was very positive and we are enjoying the new deck and porch. The labor and craftsmanship is high quality. The project management team was very responsive, and stayed in communication with us throughout the process. Would highly recommend if interested in composite decking and porch replacement.Services:Deck installation,Composite decks,Deck replacement,Porch construction
Megan Boush: Positive:Professionalism,QualityStaff was wonderful throughout the whole process. Deck and pergola turned out beautiful. Will definitely recommend and use again for future projects.Services:Wood deck construction,Pergola construction
David Walmer: We just completed our second project with Archadeck and now have two beautiful decks. With the first project we had a minor miscommunication that created some personal angst. The owner of the company got involved and he personally communicated with me in addition to other daily updates from their team throughout the entire second project. This company clearly cares about their reputation and relationships. You won't regret choosing them for any deck construction work. ...high quality... ...professional... ...excellent communication...
Melinda Long: The Archadeck team did an amazing job from design to final build. The entire crew was amazing and ensured that our project was completed timely and to our specification. Stacey was amazing and kept us informed on a daily/weekly basis regarding updates and what to expect during each phase of our project. I can’t say enough positives about the company and look forward to working with them in future on other projects!Service:Patio enclosure construction
Carrie Johnson: We could not be more pleased with our beautiful new deck and screened-in porch. Todd, Joel, and Bobby were absolutely fantastic - very nice crew that had fun while they worked. They were very knowledgeable and helpful to us while being a little part of our family while they worked. The entire team at Archadeck brought this dream of ours to life - solving design challenges, helping us manage the budget, and quickly resolving any issues that came up. Thank you so very much!
Stephanie Walter: Archadeck of Raleigh-Durham and the Greater Triangle removed an old, unsafe deck for us and constructed both a screened-in deck with Eze-Breeze windows and an attached uncovered deck. They did a great job with design and construction, promptly addressing any concerns. The project management was excellent. Very professional and easy to work with. Highly recommend.Services:Deck installation,Deck remodeling,Deck construction,Deck design,Patio enclosure construction
londa mckenzie: Services:Deck installation,Deck construction,Composite decks,Deck design,Patio enclosure constructionPositive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Erin Tenney: After several weeks of research we chose to have Archadeck do our backyard patio. The design process was both easy and enjoyable. We chose a paver patio and could not be happier with the results. From first contact to complete install was 4 months. That would have been shorter if our HOA was quicker to respond to the request. Other companies were estimating 6-9 months to begin installation. The actual installation was less than 2 days. Every single person we worked with (Neal, Stacey and Danny especially) was extremely kind and informative. I have absolutely no complaints and we will go to Archadeck for any future projects!Service:Patio decks
peg darden: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueArchadeck is a highly professional and responsive business. We were very pleased with our grilling deck design and construction. The builders are very polite, clean and talented!! I would hire them again!Service:Wood deck construction
Emily Musselwhite: We used Archadeck to build our deck in December 2021. From start to finish, our experience working with Archadeck was exceptional. The entire team was extremely communicative, professional and timely. We are so happy with how our deck turned out and continuously get compliments on the quality and design. We highly recommend working with Archadeck on your next project!Services:Deck design,Wood deck construction
Patrick Brennw: Archadeck recently (September 2022) a "redecking" of our 2nd floor wood deck which the new deck was made of composite decking made by TimberTech. They were able to keep the underlying structure of the deck and just replace the decking and stairs. The project came out beautifully, and the Archadeck folks were quite professional and responsive to our questions along the way. I would definitely recommend them.Services:Composite decks,Deck replacement
dan venton: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,ResponsivenessLots better than the deck they replaced.Service:Deck replacement
Stephen Burgin: Services:Deck design,Deck replacement,Deck repair,Porch constructionPositive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness
Kraig Jacobson: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCouldn't ask for better, they are pros and have great attention to detail. Very considerate through all the construction. Highly recommended!Services:Deck design,Porch construction
Wayne Pengelly: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,ResponsivenessThe process of working with Archadeck was seamless. First meeting with design consultant to discuss project and costs. Then quickly met with project manager , carpenter and representative to finalize and begin construction. Work was done with care and quality. Triangle Deck Builders: what do users think?
Zechariah 4:6: No return call
Engineerbabu k: Do not go by their Ad, Poor judgement in measurements, they took for ever to respond each time. They will convince you and say they will get you all permits. Do not go by what AL says, please directly talk with Scott, clarify everything in a 'written contract' and then work with them with a time commitment. Never pay a large deposit, they will vanish with it. Most importantly, as you can see in many other reviews, they will refuse to identify me also. They refuse to identify anyone with bad feedback. Go with another builder. these guys are just sad, sad sad
Melissa Pyatak: I would not recommend this business. Triangle Deck Builders came to our home to look at installing a new deck/porch. We have a large budget for the job and a nice design plan to work with. They told us they would get back to us with an estimate. After about a week of never hearing back from them we followed up. Almost 2 weeks later, they told us that they are going to pass on the job because they couldn't source some of the materials (a fireplace and cable railing). They made no suggestions for alternative materials and "respectfully passed" on the job. I wish they told us the truth....that they are simply too busy with high end jobs in the area and couldn't be bothered taking another job. I find it strange that a company is advertising in magazines, coming out to estimate projects when they don't have any interest in working with us. Our project is a custom porch/deck with a large budget to work with. I'm baffled why they spend the time to advertise and visit homes when they don't want to take jobs.
Terry Schmitt: We had a new deck and screen porch installed. Scott and Team went above and beyond and it exceeded our expectations. I could not be more pleased with his work and our interactions throughout the job. If you want an extremely high quality job (Scott is a true artist with a vision and pride in his projects) then look no farther.
Jonathan Bunting: will update review based on if they follow through or not
Coach Henion: Waste of time meeting with 'Al' father of owner , called prior to meeting gave parameters of what I was looking to do-replacing wrap around deck railing, gutting/redo of interior of screen porch. Within 30 seconds of being on site 'Al' tells me the porch isn't up to code, questioned when I told him it had been permitted with City of Raleigh when originally added and then tries to up-sell me on redoing the entire deck and screen porch! he said things like "we dont like to use 4x4 only 6x6 (deck is 3.5' above the ground), when I said we are not doing that, stick to what I called you out for, he then replied "we don't do repair type of work." and walked off... I didn't give them a 1 because I have no idea what kind of actual work they do...
Gregory Yow: The quality of the work and design that went into our deck was outstanding. A few of the reviewers stated some issue with the building permit. I never had any of these issues with the company. In fact, when I asked to expand the scope of work, they applied for the additional permits without any prompting. The accuracy of the carpentry cuts and joints is amazing. Gaps were non-existent. Scott takes a great deal of pride with the final product. I always got the sense he wanted it done right and made sure that when the project was completed, everything looked picture perfect and completely done, every last detail.I highly recommend Triangle Deck Builders. You won't be disappointed.
James Webb: Stay away from this guy. Legal action taken. Beware of him actually getting build permits.
Kelly Baumberger: Beware!!! The owner of this company said he got a building permit and he never did. When we called our town to check on the permit they said there was not any permit request for our address. Now we have to pay to get one.
J L: Curtis and his team did an amazing job on our dream deck. It is beautiful and we sit outside all the time now with no fear of mosquitos or secadas dive bombing our heads. I have to give 3 stars only for the reason that Scott took our last payment and basically didn't care anymore. There were a few details that he promised he would finish - even do it himself - but never came back to do them. We tried contacting them and no response or more empty promises. Please hear me when I say don't finish paying until they finish the job!!
Sarah Dewan: Triangle Deck Builders are professional from start to finish. After receiving quotes from several other deck builders in the Raleigh area, we felt that they could do the best job for the money. The posts are 6x6 whereas most builders use 4x4, therefore it gave us a more sturdy structure! We couldn't be happier with the outcome of our deck or as we call it, outdoor living space! Our deck is custom and unique! We have received so many compliments on it and made lots of referrals! We also loved that they made suggestions as we went along with the build. We had an open space where the old deck was and they recommended adding a frame for a garden, where we now have vegetables growing! The carpenters were all professional and kind to me. I would highly recommend Triangle Deck Builders to anyone looking for a new deck, sunroom, patio, or 3 season room!

Lucas Outdoor Solutions: what do users think?
Bryan Stypmann: CAUTION! Jay Lucas is a wolf in sheep’s clothing. Initially, Jay came across as a friendly, capable contractor, that offered the most competitive bid on my work (lean-to builds and shed renovation), so I selected him for the job. Soon after starting the project, I learned that Jay’s recent background working in a home improvement store and doing apartment maintenance work were not well-suited for running his own home contracting business. I found him on Thumbtack and I’m guessing his handful of positive reviews had to be from friends and family and/or people that have low expectations, because the work he did for me and level of professionalism and ethics was significantly substandard—and, I want to provide this review to help others avoid the same mistake I made.Let’s start with Jay’s work product. As you can see from the pictures (just a few of many issues), Jay likes to cut corners (literally and figuratively) and it’s evident from walls being out of level, lots of bad wood cuts, exposed nails, use of scrap and poorly fitting materials, random mistakes that are overlooked, and generally sloppy craftsmanship and work. And, to add insult to injury, if you question any of Jay’s mistakes or shortcomings, he’s got a fragile ego and it will be a major issue. In my case, I questioned his work and practices too many times and he left my job mid-stream with incomplete work and damages he made and never corrected, while he had my money and I’m left needing to find someone else to fix all of Jay’s mistakes.Next is add-ons, modifications, and lots of nickeling and diming that Jay likes to do to try and get his payment up. While Jay’s initial quote was competitive, as he continued adding up-charges for minor modifications and mistakes (some of which he made), his cost quickly became non-competitive. Classic bait and switch strategy: secure the project with a competitive bid and upcharge the customer to get what you really want. I think Jay’s lack of funding contributes quite a bit to his cutting corners and lack of professionalism, as he’s under constant pressure to do as many projects as possible in a short amount of time to stay afloat. This also means Jay will start your project and then go start several other projects, delaying yours as much as he needs to keep several projects going at the same time…this will add significant delay to your project as it did with mine. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, Jay is not trustworthy, lacks work ethics and professionalism, and has obvious anger issues that are guaranteed to cause problems. In my case, in addition to walking off the job midway through with several things damaged and poorly executed, Jay did not complete several jobs that had already been paid, lied about material reimbursements, lied about returning to the job, does not return messages, and gets really upset when questioned about anything. Jay’s wife Jessica seems to be more professional and fair-minded, but ultimately capitulates to whatever Jay wants, likely because of Jay’s anger.Jay Lucas and Lucas Outdoor Solutions are a train wreck, but I’ve learned through the experience. Hopefully, I’ve saved someone else from the same.Services:Remodeling,Trim carpentry services,Finish carpentry services,Shelving/storage construction installation,Remodeling,Custom carpentry services,General carpentry cabinetry services,Rough carpentry services
Walter Michelin: Jay and team were extremely responsive, communicative, and professional. We needed stairs rebuilt, lattice installed on our deck, and some bracing, and they did the job in a day! Would recommend to anybody.Update: Jay and team noticed a minor flaw with their job and came back out to fix it! If I could go higher than 5 stars I would.
Shelia Murray: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueI don't have the words to describe just how bad of an experience I had. I honestly question the other reviews. This so called company was listed under another name before.Services:Deck installation,Wood staining
Abbey Massey: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe hired Lucas Outdoor Solutions to rebuild our outdoor stairs off of our porch, and Jay did an incredible job! The job was finished quickly and we are excited to have found them so we now have a great go to, to use in the future for our other contractor needs.

Structurally Speaking: what do users think?
Thrifty Elf: 6-7 years ago we contacted Jim with Structurally Speaking to replace our basic rectangular builder grade wood deck. Jim came up with a phenomenal design to improve not just the deck, but the way we use our outdoor living space. He added a fan shaped pergola to create visual interest as well as some shade on the hot sunny end. He is a wonderful designer.Jim’s construction crew were great! Between demo and construction they were here for a week. They passed the City of Raleigh’s inspection the first time. The crew cleaned up everything - we didn’t even find a single nail left. They were especially careful not to damage any of our landscaping.About 6-7 months later, we were frustrated with the deck because the majority of surface boards had cupped slightly. Every time it rained, we had to blow off the deck before we could use it. I called Jim and he agreed that it wasn’t supposed to be like that. He contacted the lumber yard and they did NOT stand behind their wood products. But Jim didn’t leave us hanging. He said he would stand behind his work and he did.Jim paid for both the materials and the labor to replace every single surface board on our deck. This time the lumber performed as it should - no cupping. But that’s not the end of Jim standing behind his product. Fast forward to 2023 when our deck is 6-7 years old. Over time the end cuts on a few boards had swollen, causing them to curve up, creating a trip hazard. I asked Jim to replace these boards. Because this was routine maintenance work, not warranty work, I fully expected to pay for the materials and labor. Not only did Jim’s crew replace the boards we pointed out, but they saw a few others they thought were starting to curve and replaced those too! I asked Jim to send me a bill, but he said he stands behind his product.Jim is definitely a man of his word! Standing behind the deck he delivered 6 months later is expected. But doing so 6+ YEARS later is the hallmark of a craftsman who is proud of his work. He is a fantastic designer and when he says he stands behind the product he delivers, he means it!!!Services:Deck installation,Deck remodeling,Patio decks,Deck construction,Wood deck construction,Deck replacement,Deck repair,Wood staining
David Mainesmith, RPT: We cannot say enough about Structurally Speaking and are more than pleased to write Jim Brennan and his workers a 5-star review. His many years of experience make Jim extremely knowledgeable in his field. He worked with us to build a deck and screened porch that met our specialized needs. He was thorough in his explanations and prompt in his communications. Everyone on his crew was experienced, courteous, detail-minded, and hard-working. We are delighted with our new back yard addition and very grateful to Jim and Structurally Speaking!Services:Deck construction,Porch construction
Brian Eichner: We had a large project; decoupling portion of original wrap around deck and then building large screened in porch and somenew deck area as well. Jim gave us really insightful focus on where in our this could work. He laid out really beautiful plans that were representative of how the finished product looked but honestly, the finished product is even more amazing than we had realized it would be. Jim is experienced and knowledgeable. Jim's team is excellent and very hard working and he and his team are responsive to concerns. As with any project, unexpected things arose, and they all got dealt with. The finished costs were within ten percent of the estimate, which having had several other large projects done on our house, is within what I expect as reasonable, especially in context of providing estimates during times of rising building costs and supply chain delays. He was accurate in timeline of how long project would take and was honest. In terms of the quality of the work... Months later we are still AMAZED at how well it came out. We, at Jim's suggestion to consider, elected EZE breeze windows to make it a 3 season Carolina room that will be usable during pollen season. We spend time out there everyday and eat a lot of meals out there and will for decades to come.Years ago, we got good advice from a contractor who is going to remodel our bathroom. He told us there would be times during the project where we would all be angry with each other, which is normal when you are spending a lot of money to do something to your most important financial investment, which is also where you live. That advice helped us through bathroom renovations. It also helped at the couple of times when I was upset with Jim about things that are pretty typical during a project. We communicated with Jim rather than let things fester and things got handled very smoothly.I would advise anybody was asking to strongly consider using Structurally Speaking to do a deck or porch project and, whether you hire them or someone else, communicate clearly when you have concerns. If you hire Structurally Speaking, Jim will make sure to address your concerns and you will be thrilled with how your project comes out.Service:Porch construction
James OShea: My experience with Structurally Speaking was marvelous. Jim Brennan is an experienced, knowledgable contractor who is honest, attentive and wonderful to work with. He gave us a price and stuck with it. Inevitably, additional costs arise but Jim clearly explained them and didn't proceed without our approval. He also know the local building code and did a great job of heading off any problems. I would hire him again in a heartbeat.Services:General construction,Deck installation,Deck construction,Composite decks,Home addition construction
Bill Ford: Jim's company built our deck about 10 years ago. Agree with other reviewers that the design was good, but the end result unsatisfactory. Aesthetically speaking, the composite material began looking bad a few months after construction. Overtime the individual boards have worn very unevenly. Boards right next to each other have different colors and textures; as if the deck were built using three different types of decking material.Regardless its a multi-toned and warped mess. Structurally speaking, the deck is unsafe. A couple years ago one of the support joists rotted and collapsed; we haven't used the deck since. Jim - in response to your comments. I did see Stan's review. Suspiciously it was posted right after mine. As far as these being manufacturer issues perhaps you’re right. However, selecting high quality materials was your job. We certainly paid enough. For anyone who wants to hire Jim - your call. Some folks are apparently very satisfied with his work. I was not.Service:Deck construction
Stan Marsh: Being in the US Navy, we are trained to pay close attention to detail, and Structurally Speaking did just that. Every minor detail received special attention, from initial design to finished product. Jim and team acted professionally and generally seem to care about their customers and their satisfaction. After about 4 years of enjoying our deck, we had a 4x4 rot out. We called Jim, and he came out and replaced the rotten 4x4 at no charge to us. This is the level of customer service that every business should strive for. I would recommend Structurally Speaking to anyone looking at adding that perfect addition to their home.Services:General construction,Deck installation,Deck construction,Deck design,Wood deck construction,Deck replacement,Porch construction,Patio enclosure construction,Home addition construction
Adam Bobyarchick: Jim was great to work with for construction of my screened-in porch. During the estimate phase he listened to what we wanted and then provided some advice on changes he would make such as a knee wall and rope light (he was correct!). Once construction started everything was on time with no delays. There were two small issues with things that got missed during construction and Jim came out promptly and got them corrected. It's been about 5 years now and we've had no issues with the porch and everything still looks great!Services:Patio decks,Deck design,Wood deck construction,Porch construction,Patio enclosure construction
Steve McIlwain: Structurally Speaking added a custom screened-in porch for our home. We had a wonderful experience with Structurally Speaking and use our screened-in porch all the time!! Jim has a great eye for design and included touches that make the space unique and extremely usable. He always responded promptly and dealt incredibly fairly when discussing details and costs. His crew was efficient and detail oriented. I asked him a ton of questions along the way and he was always responsive, candid, and kind. We highly recommend Structurally Speaking as a fantastic option for high-quality design and function!!Service:Patio enclosure construction
Todd Jacobs: Very happy with the results of our new deck and porch replacing our old deck which was destroyed by a fallen tree. Want to say that communication about the details from design to estimate to implementation was fantastic. Jim Brennan(and his staff) took the time to answer all our questions before, during, and after the project was completed. Would recommend Structurally Speaking to anyone wanting a new deck and or porch.Services:Deck installation,Deck remodeling,Building design,Deck construction,Composite decks,Deck design,Wood deck construction,Deck replacement,Porch construction,Patio enclosure construction,Home addition construction
Wolfgang Bergmeier: Jim and his crew from Structurally Speaking turned our back deck into a screened in porch (with Eze-Breeze windows). Jim's design was great, making the most efficient use of our space. The crew was really efficient, the product is amazing. We basically gained another room for our home, which we can use 10 months out of the year. The craftsmanship is really good, with everything working great after 2+ years of heavy use. And all of that at a very reasonable price! I would definitely higher Structurally Speaking again, and I have recommended them to tons of people over the last 2 years.Service:Porch construction
Thomas Patience: Faulty deck due to design/workmanship - Third party evaluations identified poor workmanship and design which caused the material (deck fascia) to fail. Fascia installed incorrectly - now require removal of existing fascia / new deck baords/design / materials/labor to fix deck Wife and I liked the design of the deck and that is where it stops! - Great design - poor workmanship/materials! Jim lacked a knowledge of the right materials to do the job and now we have a defective product - Warped fascia board all throughout my entire deck.. He did replace the fascia once, but with the same results . now he does not want to support me in my efforts to get it fixed again- either through new material selection or financial recovery from Timbertech. I had to independently file a claim with Timbertech without his direct support. I am am high and dry with a defective deck and out $20K - THANKS JIM! As a contractor, who was generously compensated, he should have stand behind his product and worked to correct the issue - instead of walking way from the repeating design/material problem. Jury is still out on why all the fascia board warped: a) Poor material selection for location/type of deck (tree droppings / moisture/ sunlight) - Jim knew location details this ahead of time - trees/sunlight etc. As an engineer/designer - he should have researched his material selection and chose according to environment. b) Poor workmanship - fascia incorrectly installed causing warping (screws too tight causing warping) - Jim lacked direct supervision of his "contracted" Hispanic laborers - language barrier too. He agreed first pass install was not properly installed - replaced fascia once and same warping results! c) Poor deck design for install placement of fascia - Design does not protect Fascia seams from moisture/leaves exposure to warping, talking with others - seems the fascia seems should be somewhat protected from moisture seepage - design/install does not protect seams d) Defective materials from Supplier (Timbertech) - while Jim did get fascia replaced once (cause he though his original install caused the warping) - He used the same replacement materials with the same warping outcome - now has totally walked away from problem! Not gonna do any more for you! - THANKS JIM For any of these issues - the contractor should be professional and take responsibility to work with his client to remedy. Jim has failed !
Elizabeth Allen: Jim was fantastic to work with. He was detailed oriented, his team worked quickly, and we are so happy with the outcome of our porch. We wanted to tear down our existing back deck and build a screened porch. Jim built us a 16x22 screened in porch with rope lights, skylights, and all of the other little things we were hoping to get out of a deck. We have spent so much time on the deck since it was finished. Jim is great with communication and let us know the status of things that he had ordered and was up front about costs. In the end, we have a porch that we going to be happier with and would recommend Jim to anyone. We already have one neighbor that is having him build their deck and have passed his contact info to multiple other people.
Benjamin Brown: I’m an attorney and needed an expert regarding a construction/zoning issue case. I was referred to Mr. Brennan by a friend who had used his services before. I have to say that Jim’s expertise was critical to winning our case. He is extremely knowledgeable about both zoning and construction issues, and crafted several pages of building code and Raleigh City zoning ordinances analysis. I have dealt with many contractors over the years, and especially post-covid it is really difficult to get them to even call you back because they are all so busy. In the course of working with Jim, I found him to be honest, hardworking and timely in his responses. I can highly recommend that you consider Structurally Speaking for your construction project.
Mike C L: Critical:Professionalism,ResponsivenessWas referred to this company by acquaintance. One problem after another and ultimately disappeared without a word before any work was completed. Other reviews on Angie's list, Yelp etc. are accurate.
Bob Dickey: We called these folks to our house to do an estimate on a deck extension. We had agreed that he would email over the estimates and would figure out a time for him to swing over, though it might take a while since they may be busy, which was fine. It's a pandemic, we've got time and will be home. However, after sending the email to get the quote numbers, we heard no response. Sent two follow-up emails to complete silence. Not even a response advising that the message was received. Totally ghosted. Finally, we called the office asking what was up, and we were told that they lost their notes from the initial estimate visit, and wanted to know if we could start the whole process over. This was after 3 weeks of silence and ignored correspondence. No sir, we may not.

Archadeck | Outdoor Living: what do users think?
Garner Halloran: As you can see from the pictures, I had this sun room built to fit a 9' pool table. So this was a very big project and the room ended up being 20'x16'. You'll notice the rope lights recessed in a tray in the ceiling and I had a custom pool table light installed as well. I couldn't be happier with how this turned out, but I'll point out some things that happened along the way (none of which were Archadeck's fault).I started this process in July 2021 and at that time Archadeck could start my project around mid to late October. The sales people were excellent and getting the project started went smoothly. That year there were lots of issues with supply and labor so the project didn't actually start until December 2021. Not their fault. Wood was difficult to get and my project required a lot.One thing to note is that when it was getting close the original start time and while I was waiting until December, I didn't get a lot of proactive communication from Archadeck. But anytime I asked for a new ETA they quickly responded. Once they start your project, they are in constant communication, sometimes multiple times a day. So you get their undivided attention when it's your turn. That's fair. The original estimate was 6-8 weeks. I had pretty good weather throughout so there weren't many delays. At a certain point, they will "pause" and let you paint the wood before finishing up. Given the winter weather it was recommended by painters to wait. I'm glad I did because the inspections found a couple of things that needed to be fixed and that would have messed up the paint. My recommendation is to wait. The wood needs to dry and you never know what might have to be redone before final inspection.I hit a snag with the electrical inspection. They got wind that I was installing an hvac in the room and then required more outlets to be installed. Part of that was the hvac and part of that was the inspectors changing the rules and Archadeck didn't know about it. So while Archadeck won't install an hvac, if you intend to do so after the fact, just ask lots of questions about outlets so you don't have to retrofit later.During installation, two of the windows had tears in them. Due to supply issues it took some time to get them replaced, but I didn't have to pay the final payment until it was fixed. No "punch lists" to fix after the fact. Archadeck makes sure you are happy and all work is completed before you pay the final amount.I am the envy of my neighbors and several other contractors doing unrelated work have praised what they've seen of the construction. I will happily share more pictures and answer questions if you want to know more. This room is worth every penny!
