Second Chance Pet Adoptions: what do users think?
Bill Tomko: While we didn't get our two cats from here, we have donated toys, beds, food, and cat stuff. The place is clean (and smells clean) and the critters all look healthy and happy. Find your fur buddy there.
Geneva Agnos: I was not happy with my experience, I went to an event, found a dog I thought was a perfect fit for my family, asked every question I could think of to make sure he would be a good fit. I explained I worked from home, and spent most of my time at home with my dogs. I put in the application, passed the vet recommendations, passed having a willing person to take the dog should I die, passed having two referrals, only to be turned down by the foster parent who decided a single Mom would clearly neglect this dog. Now, these overly crowded shelters and rescues will have one more adult dog that will potentially struggle to be adopted. We have a loving home, my animals are a huge part of my life. They are very well cared for, spoiled with love and play. But some random person who has never even met me, never bothered to even have a call with me, or come do a home visit, gets to decide. If that's not judgement against single Mom's, I don't know what is! They'd rather give this dog to a married couple that will throw it outside all day and neglect it. I think this is an incredibly unprofessional way to handle things. If that foster spoke to me, voiced her concerns, perhaps I could have eased those concerns, or perhaps I could see why she fealt we weren't the right fit, and not be left feeling judged and treated poorly due to not fitting her mold. I hope he finds a good home, and I hope that foster realizes that she not only prevented him from getting a good home, but also truly hurt me as a human being, made me feel like garbage, and made me dislike the old fashioned mindset of this area even more!Edit: response to your reply. Yes, the rescue approved me, the foster parent was the one with the issue of a single Mom. I confirmed ahead of putting in my application that he was good with cats, multiple dogs, and kids. I was told he loved the two rambunctious boys in his foster, was great with playing with dogs, and had no issues with cats. In my further conversations with the rescue, it was determined by the foster mom that as a single caregiver, and an assumed busy house (it's not, most of my animals are elderly and both kids are school age), I would neglect Sutter. My issue is that as a rescue that clearly does a ton of work ensuring people will care for and love the animals, you sure put a lot of trust in the word of a foster who didn't even offer a meet up or house visit.
Kenneth Smith: Just visit website to get insight on adoption
Carol Rose: I want to adopt a kitten & plan to come Sat.
Matt Neff: Accompanied my adult daughter to meet her potential new pup. So very impressed with many things - the write up was incredibly detailed and after 24 hrs, can attest 100% accurate. Pups come 'Ready', as in neutered, shots, wormed and chipped. The adoption fee is less than the initial VET bill on out last pound pup.And yes! She adopted! :-)
Kathy Rodgers: Our neighbor is fostering a young large dog from this organization. They have failed in taking care of this precious puppy! Sure, they’re providing food but this puppy has a terrible issue with a front leg. When he plays he’s in severe pain, but he’s a puppy and needs the exercise and socializing. This organization won’t provide pain meds or offer any other DMEs to help support his leg. It’s getting worse and worse daily. So how can an organization that says they’re taking care of these dogs, then ignore a very serious and painfully situation?!? So very sad for this puppy and the foster Mom who's doing everything she can to take the best care of her foster puppy. Very, very disappointing!
Maury McCoy: Fantastic place to find a furry friend, We foster through second chance and they have been great.
Rebecca Welles Aamodt: Best place around for wonder cats and kitten adoptions
Chris Gyles (Gyles): These guys put on or sponsored the free ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s last week. Great crew they had their end and adorable Australian shepherd mix eight month old puppy.
Erika Christiana: I truly appreciate Second Chance for being the place where I felt complete acceptance and understanding when I was searching for my ESA, Duckie (formerly known as Mr. Pepe). The thing I love about their dog program is that the foster parents do get to pick the best fit for the dog, since they know the dog best.Duckie's foster mom reached out to us over our application and we scheduled a meeting time for Duckie to meet our elder beagle, Luna. It was a great fit, so we got the chance to foster-to-adopt Duckie to make sure he was right for our house, Luna, and myself as an ESA.Duckie was heartworm positive when he landed at Second Chance, but they were able to give him treatment right before we started the foster period. We made sure that he took any remaining meds, adjusted him to food, and spent time getting to know our little buddy. The weeks flew by and we realized that it was time for evaluation - we honestly forgot because it felt like we had always had Duckie. We got to see his foster mom one last time, and she gave us a homemade blanket and toy for Duckie to remember his time - which he loves to this day. We agreed to the adoption and I signed the paperwork - and they were nice enough to agree that if Duckie tested heartworm positive six months from date of his last treatment, they would pay for another round. This made me feel better as a first time adopter of a heartworm positive pet - plus, they gave me all the information I needed to be informed.Fast forward seven months later, Duckie has opened up to us fully - he's devoted, silly, loves to tap dance when it's food time, and developed an affinity for some special snacks thanks to his elder sister, Luna. We've worked with him on becoming more food positive and developing trust with us. He even has a couple of neighborhood friends! He's the best ESA for my anxiety and c-PTSD. Every time I'm near him, I feel his happiness and joy. When I'm sad, he curls up next to me and places his head on my lap. He's a one-of-a-kind dog - and my fiancé and I are proud to be his dog parents. Thanks again to Second Chance for helping me find my ESA - he does his job simply by being himself. I am grateful for the understanding from this rescue above all else.
Leia: My mom and I were going to adopt my dog Lockett. When we arrived they refused to let us go home with her even though we went to adopt her. Over a couple months we were indecisive about getting Lockett. The employees/volunteers were extremely rude and didn’t give us a chance to talk and say our case. Apparently my mom took to long so they wouldn't let us adopt her. I sent an email to schedule a meeting and possibly find out if we would be able to get Lockett. Why wouldn’t just let us adopt her while we were there instead of taking her away from us and finding a whole new foster home. Me and Lockett had a really tight bond and i’ve cried many nights missing her. Me and my mom have emailed them countless times longing to see Lockett but didn’t give us any information. We still don’t have Lockett and I still miss her very much.
Chrissy Myers: Placed an application for a dog and was told we would hear something within a couple of days. It was more like a week before we were told we were approved and then waited another week to be told we were then not approved. No communication in between and we lost opportunities to be able to adopt other dogs because we were waiting on this one.I understand all of that but we were told we would hear by Tues, not Thursday. From there, there was NO communication at all. I understand you not wanting to place the dog with me and I am fine with that. It's the lack of response and communication that upsets me. Looking at my application, it was obviously clear that I was not a good fit according to your terms. It should not have taken an additional week and only after my prompting to get a response to tell me I was not a good fit. I would not have lost other opportunities due to the organization's negligence.
Liisa Berger: Best pet adoption place in the area!
Shannon Micete: They will come into your community and steal your animals and act like they didn’t do anything wrong. Forget about trying to get them to give them back. Worse than PETA
lizzy novelli: Amazing facility with great employees. Adopted our sweet kitten from here and they were amazing about everything!
Sara Martinez: Highly recommend if your looking to foster or adopt a new pet. The staff are all great! I was a foster for a puppy, they took care of all of the puppy's needs!!
Christina Williams: I did a transport from a shelter to here. The staff were very pleasant and the transition went smoothly.
Mary Bartlett: Thank you Jessica for allowing me to adopt Max ( orange crush) he has been a blessing, my pride and joy Cheyenne (cat) passed away a year ago, never thought I'd get over her till now. She's gone but never forgotten, Max is a breath of fresh air.
juniper wang: Friendly people and even friendlier cats! You can tell they’re super well taken care of and open to trusting because of it. Awesome place to adopt a pet!
Lily Cloud: I came here looking for a dog for little to no experience owning one before. They were able to find me a dog that fit my lifestyle perfectly. That was almost 5 years ago, and I still have my best friend Poe! ♥️ These people really care about the animals they rescue and will do anything for them.
Heather Price: 10 years ago, I met both of my kitties here. The staff were super friendly, encouraging and had a plethora of resources to provide for a first time cat owner. We will be back when it's time to add another furry ball of fury!

SPCA of Wake County: what do users think?
Greg Hutchinson: Great organization run by great, caring people. We adopted a kitten and the process was smooth and easy. They felt our excitement and made the process enjoyable. Their additional pet supplies are properly priced with the proceeds going to support their cause.
Chaz Himes: Very friendly and helpful staff if you have the chance volunteer
Dave C: My family loves to go here to see the dogs. It is a nice, clean location, that is well maintained by a small army of volunteers. You can see that each of them is dedicated to the animals and trying to find the animals a "forever" home.
M. L.: This is a wonderful place to adopt cats, dogs, and other smaller animals. If you're not yet sure about adopting, you can visit with the dogs and cats. There are 4 spacious cat rooms to interact with cats and go in as you want (after applying hand sanitizer). There is a kitten room that has a limit to the number of visitors. The dogs are usually housed in individual spaces, and you can visit with them by asking a volunteer to assist. The puppy room is amazing, if there are puppies, and you can visit with them, too.If you are serious about adopting a little kitten or puppy, you need to pay attention to the website. Schedule an appointment to meet for the particular animal you'd like. You can schedule an appointment on-site, too, but depending on the day, your appointment may be later or have to be another day.
John Cooter: Best place to get pets / fosters spayed or neutered..
cat: It's really what you see and what you get they mostly have big dogs but they do get some small dogs but if you looking for a loving best friend go check them out
Kurt Selden: Fantastic facility with great staff. Plus it's got a store to get pet supplies.
Ann S (Ann S): I adopted my pup from SPCA in 2013. I was impressed by the thoroughness if the adoption interview and the genuine desire to match the right pet with my family. Fast forward to 2023 and my dog has some new brothers and sisters and i am fostering kittens. The fostering program at SPCA is very flexible and providing a loving home to animals prior to their forever home placement is very rewarding.
Randy Garcia: One of the best clinics I have ever visited, very friendly, clean, organized and helpful staff and we'll stocked. This place gave me a great vibe to bring a pet.
Safaa Nouaim: Nice and clean 👌
Darlene Bailey: The hearts & energy shared are a blessing to us all❤️'Ellen Thomas' is remarkable & SPCA staff professionals 🏆Incredible people, volunteers & donaters of a worthwhile cause in giving Our beloved pets & animals the ultimate of care & good homes🐕🐕‍ 🐈🐈‍⬛Their awesome kindness of our community pet's health and well being is greatly appreciated⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️God Bless the SPCAHappy 2023
Marc Guilarte: It's a great facility with helpful dedicated staff.
Kelly Haass: Lena and I are adjusting well 😍😍
Norman Clark: Very clean and they take great care of the pets that are available for adoption. Large selection of both cats and dogs as well as specialty pets. Adoption process seems to be much simpler than many other places. A family member adopted two cats from our visit. I highly recommend that you stop by and check out what's available.
amber !: Cute animals:)
Samantha Quiel: We adopted our first cat from the SPCA several years ago and my parents adopted their cat during COVID. The staff and volunteers are always kind when me and my daughter go in to visit the animals! I also used their spay/neuter program for both of my cats several years ago. If you're looking to adopt, foster, volunteer, or use some of their amazing services, I highly recommend them!
Bryan Lassiter (ShadowBandit91): Great staff and very helpful able to adopt our new addition to the family same day process was easy just had to fill some things out but they were very helpful and it’s affordable
Jonathan Bryant: Great place to visit if you want to just play with some animals for the day or actually adopt. We got out cat from here and the staff are very helpful and friendly.
Heidi: We went to donate dog food and got to spend some time with the cats. The staff was very friendly and kind. We plan to go back and just give some animals some love.
Miesha Miller: I love seeing the different doggies and their personalities!
Angel Jackson: We love coming here on the weekends just to spend time with the cats. Staff is very knowledgeable. Just waiting for our third cat!

Wake County Animal Center: what do users think?
Carlene Kronenberg: Better than any rescue. The staff is wonderful and make sure you know all you need to for you're new furever baby!!!
Kenneth Smith: Just looking on website thinking about adopting a dog for the kids
Linda Howard: I have been missing an " outside cat" since June 2023. Went to Animal Shelter to see if Animal Control picked him up after hearing a neighbor say " they didn't like cats and had a gray cat picked up ". Sounds like my " Kobe". He wasn't at shelter and I am heartbroken 😢😢😢😢
hitlel lopez: Excelente servicio
John Stegall: Very rude people walking the dogs. Will not be back
Daniel Henderson: I went there to have my dog euthanized. They were very kind and helpful.
RealPersonal ReviewsRaleigh: Free adoptions right now. They are overwhelmed with animals and waived all fees for our naughty run away puppy. Its apparent that everyone on staff loves animals. Our dog almost seemed sad to be leaving his new friends. They do anything possible to avoid euthanizing lost pets and surrendered animals. You can surrender your pets here and animals get great vet care even if they are only visiting for a short time.
Alan Lee: What they do here to help animals is amazing. Thanks to everyone there for the help adopting our new baby
Keith Garehan: Very sweet cats and dogs. I can't wait to walk some fogs
cat: Everyone was really friendly was willing to give advice and show you the animals I like this place and definitely like the people a good experience
April Rohde: I'm just very impressed with the compassion and efficiency of this shelter. They work very hard to find every animal a home.
Amy Hodge: I am fostering this love! She's so sweet ❤️
Yonathan Cruz (OFoxx): Awesome 👍, I found a cat named Loki and he's so cute I adopted him and he is the cutest thing I really love taking good care of him.♥️ I love this shelter!
Zayra Bustamante: Is s clean shelter with a lot of dogs and cats looking for a forever home, so heartbreaking to see all those babies waiting for someone to take them home, at least there is a good flow of people looking for a pet, love that you can interact with them before take them home.
kenneth Price: Everyone is so helpful and nice. Process is quick and they all are concerned with the animal's well being. Highly recommend and urge everyone...rescue a dog. They will love you for it and they make the best companions.
Kimberly Gilmartin: The Director of the Wake County Animal Center, Dr. Jennifer Federico, has dedicated her entire life to helping animals. She has turned the shelter around from where it was and has weeded out adoption/rescue agencies who do not properly care for the animals. All her personal animals are rescues who are nothing shy of loving, fun, athletic animals. Most of her dogs are good citizen canines and blood donors. They are amazing with children and people of all ages. For anyone that speaks negatively against Wake County Animal Center, the Director or the staff, clearly does not know anything about them or they are one of the agencies banned from working with the shelter. Dr. Federico, you are doing an amazing job. Keep up the good work.
EMS Life: I adopted my first cat from here and the customer service is amazing and I highly recommend adopting from here if you are interested in adopting an animal that they house.
Katherine: I unfortunately had to visit because I had found a dog that was not microchipped and with no collar. The staff were so friendly and helpful, it was obvious how much they cared. Working with animals is not always a fun or easy job. But it's nice when the workers don't take it out on those trying to help.
Stephanie Pratt: What’s not to love!! Lots of dogs and cats that need a home!!Staff is friendly, lots of volunteers walking dogs and place is clean :)
Jennifer Lo: Have
Shay Brandon: I have been here for euthanasia for my fur baby due to having cancer and heart issues. It's crazy that my pet doctor charges $300 and wake county has no fee. They are nice people and don't rush you to give up your pet.

Safe Haven For Cats: what do users think?
Keri Van Fleteren: Safe Haven is wonderful. We have adopted 2 cats from here and have been so happy with the experience both times. Everyone cares about finding the right place for each cat, and you can just see that they are loved and well taken care of. My sister fosters for them and I can vouch for the difference in the cats after some special care. Highly recommend supporting this fantastic organization!
Jon Martin: An amazing place run by amazing people.Their name is accurate and their mission/passion are present throughout all their operations.Thank you all for what you do—and how you do it.
christopher mcclain: Reasonably priced people with knowledgeable services
Emma Smith: Wonderful experience at Safe Haven. We adopted little Goku (formerly Goomba) there last week & couldn’t be happier. I would recommend this shelter for people who know they want a cat same day. Everyone was friendly & welcoming. If I was a first time cat owner I might look at the SPCA instead, just because the process was SO quick at Safe Haven. At the SPCA I felt like, the communication was more thorough in terms of medical history-they log every single day and will communicate that to you. Where at Safe Haven, they have a general health summary but it’s not as detailed as Wake’s SPCA. just my opinion though! I still feel like the cats at Safe Haven are very healthy and taken care of but the paper trail that was relayed and physically handed to me wasn’t as through as SPCA. I still had a great experience & have been recommending Safe Haven, especially for people who have more experience with cats. Main thing is little Goku is healthy & happy!
Jacqui Murphy: I love fostering cats and kittens for Safe Haven!
G Sullivan: Very kind people doing needed service. Don't delay in setting appointments. It is worth the wait, you have done a good thing!
CO42: Bit sure how thourough their vet preliminary exams are
levi smooth: Tried to get a meet up for a cat. Never was contacted and the cat was gone before I was available 2 days later. It says you will contact me, yall don't.
Katherine Albin: Adopt with caution!I adopted a senior cat from the shelter. He is a wonderful boy, so sweet, so kind. I wouldn’t trade him for the world. However, I do not trust the people when they report the health of the cats at the shelter. I have had to go through thousands and thousands of dollars in order to take care of my sweet boy. They lie about their health status. When I went to adopt my cat, they literally shoved him upon me and forced me to adopt him. He is really sweet so I didn’t think about it at first. However, thinking back on I realize that they did this because they did not want to acknowledge the fact that he had has so many health concerns. He is in a loving home right now, but I am struggling to give him adequate care that was not disclosed to me at time of adoption.
Michael Maduske: Friendly staff, super clean facility, great place to find your next furbaby. 🐈🐈‍⬛
Lori Rhinefield: No kill cat shelter
Joshua Parker: Friendly and helpful staff performing wonderful deeds.
Kayla Augustine: Had a pretty bad experience adopting from here. The cat I took home was sweet but was incredibly sick. I was not made aware of this until 4 days later, when I brought her to the vet and they said she had to be euthanized because of her undiagnosed asthma. Due to the over 2k vet bill and not wanting to euthanize this poor kitty, I called Safe Haven for possible help and they said I would have to give the cat back to them. They took the cat back and I have not heard any updates despite my emails and request for a refund due to the traumatic experience. Be aware if you try to adopt from here. If you do decide to adopt from here, question if they know a cat’s entire medical history. I was told my sweet kitty was healthy but that ended up not being the truth.
Charles Chambers: Very caring group who offer great services at a more than reasonable price.
Rochelle Connallon: I'm coming to get one Feb 14
Nathan DeBord: Incredibly helpful and kind to this first-time cat owner. You can tell everyone there really loves what they are doing and I’m really happy to have found such a great rescue like them.
Christy Brown: They went above and beyond to help me with my difficult situation.
Briana McClure: We got our sweet boy here yesterday after going to 2 other shelters and being disappointed. We got there as soon as they opened as a walk-in and they took us right back. They introduce you to all the cats and tell you a bit about their background and personality type. You can tell all the volunteers really love the cats and the cats love them. They were sweet and understanding during the whole process. We got to take our kitten home the same day and they checked in on us days afterwards. They’re always open to answer any questions. If you’re in need of a sweet companion, come here!
Rebecca Stanley: Please help these babies find homes
aoudjit78: Very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Wonderful experience!
Vicky Murphy: Being hard enough when dropping off an animal everyone was so nice.

Patsy Denton: We love the attention they our baby and look forward to bring our other babies there .
Alan Lee: Such nice people work here- great prices that make caring for our fur babies easier
Jackqueline Dresner: I finally found a vet that cares for animals, will answer the phone and can get you an appointment in a timely manner!
Candice Mosley Russell: We adopted a puppy from MMAH & have switched over care of our cats to them. In an era of corporate run animal hospitals, it is incredibly refreshing to be able to find a small, one doctor practice. I'm impressed with the level of care, ease of having questions answered, & setting appointments.
Robyn Bemis: Great prices, always good with my animals, and are in it for the animals not the money!!!
Theresa Oxendine: Polite/ProfessionalPrices were awesome
Kristina: This is a very good practice they are friendly very affordable and are very awesome when it comes to pet care ♥
Acicelean Jones: Dr Covington and the Team at Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital are amazing. I took my pup , Cassius, in for a surgical procedure and while he was healing, both of my parents took ill. I was a mess trying to make sure he rested and prepare to go home. The Mitchell Mill Team not only checked in on my dog over the next 48 hours, they took the time to call and make sure me and my family was also well.I already knew they were good but the extra love and support, at a difficult time, sealed them being a part of our Family!
David Peele: Everyone was great not pushy, let us go in a room to spend as much time as we wanted. We knew they cared for our puppy and wanting what was best for him.
Charles West: Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital takes care of all of our animals and goes the extra mile to insure they are healthy.
Ken Harris: Consistently great care of our dogs, where my furry children are glad to visit!
Kelsey Keefer: We adopted our first dog from Mitchell Mill Animal Hospital Rescue today! They were wonderful to work with ♡
H B: Brought dog in for teeth cleaning. No x-rays done. Communication terrible .. They forgot a rabbi's shot, went to regular vet. Paid another exam fee and they said she has a cracked moller., Called Mitchell Mill Dr. (rude) informed an assistant did cleaning . This is why it was so cheap! Now paying again to have cracked moller checked out by a real vet! DON'T GO! also encountered woman adopting wormy puppy only 10 weeks old and she was there to return puppy so sick.
Mike Dekle: They're wonderful! Excellent animal care and a great place to adopt a new pet.
Janet Raetz: Staff is always pleasant and very helpful.
Joe Temple (Smokin Joe): Nice, friendly, willing to talk about care and types of treatments. You can tell they care about and love animals.
George Parker: Gave my dog excellent care. I can see improvement in just 3 days.
Rachel Sherry: Amazing vet office, they truly care about animals. Will Def be going to this vet office.
Mandi Schoephoerster: Our 1 year old yellow lab, Peaches, loves her friends at Mitchell Mill! She is always so excited to hop in the car to go to daycare and always cries leaving their parking lot on the way home. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming. I can tell they love on our girl just like we do. You can be assured your pets are taken care of at Mitchell Mill.
Misty Lane: Everyone is nice and accommodating. Thankful to have found a great vet for my fur babies!

Saving Grace Animals for Adoption NC: what do users think?
Priscilla McLamb: We have been on several occasions and adopted 2 dogs. Saving Grace is a very nice place for rescue dogs from high kill shelters. They have many different dogs, and they are let out to roam upon the grounds. Very nice place to adopt your pets.
Ann Quirk: Pros - Beautiful facility. You're able to see many of the dogs running around the courtyard, and you can spend time with dogs you're interested in within one of their several garden areas. Volunteers seem to truly care about the animals.Cons - Due to the sheer volume of people coming in to see dogs, you aren't able to put a dog on "hold", even for 24 hours, in order to come back and observe their behavior on another day. This is QUITE unfortunate, as doing things like this help ensure a good personality fit with your family. There seems to be a lack of understanding of some of their dogs. I know each dog behaves differently in new situations. However, we were told the dog we were adopting was House-trained, which had been verified by their volunteer who had her at their house for a period of time. We've now had her at our house for two months, and -- despite working with a professional dog trainer -- our dog STILL actively refuses to be house trained. She's very smart and picks up everything else very quickly. But house training? There's absolutely ZERO way this dog was ever house trained.Additionally, it wasn't until after my credit card was run and I'd signed the paperwork that a second volunteer told us our dog was "very high energy". We were looking for a medium energy dog, and, as luck would have it, we happened to visit on a VERY hot day when she appeared to have the energy level we were looking for.....while we love her, she's **extremely** high energy.(If I'm being honest, the original volunteer helping us looked Nervous when the second volunteer mentioned her energy level....I don't know if volunteers feel pressured to adopt out as many dogs as possible/receive kudos based on the number the number of dogs they adopt out, but she was visibly uncomfortable when the other volunteer disclosed this information)My basic point is this -- don't feel pressured to take a dog the same day you go. If you need to come back another day, do that ...it will benefit both you and whatever dog you adopt. Also, be sure to ask MULTIPLE Volunteers questions about what your prospective dog's personality is like...it seems as though one individual volunteer's knowledge (despite saying they know all about a dog) isn't always accurate.
Patty Halpin: Saving Grace is an exceptional adoption experience. We got a 2 yo terrier mix named Mia and she is living her best life with us. They were conscientious about her foster parents and we passed with flying colors. They took excellent care of her while they were trying to find her the perfect home. Luckily for all us, Mia found us and we found her. 💓🐾💓
Susan Jacques: Best place to adopt a dog! And to volunteer!Update in 2023: I have been a shift volunteer for three years, adopted our sweet Jack in 2021, and have helped out with social media posts for 2 years, and if I could give 100 stars, I would. I tell people that Saving Grace is my therapy. Getting to work with the dogs each week, and with the wonderful volunteers on my shift, is healing, literally healing, for me. And posting on dogs that later get adopted just renews my spirit! Saving Grace is 99% volunteer run and yet has adopted thousands of dogs a year (that is not an exaggeration!) I am so proud to be part of this organization and so thankful for it!
Jason Stamps: Stellar. They are well organized and do great considering the dozens of people that comes through. We adopted a dog with heartworm, and they handled treatment very well. Adoption was finalized after that treatment was completed. We got a great dog that we were guided to with their help.
Allison Clark: I adopted the absolute sweetest dog and she is a great temperament match for my lifestyle! She’s good in her crate and potty trained. However, I want to join the ranks of other reviews warning adopters to be very wary. My adoption counselor did not share any of my dog’s history, the most important fact being that she had arrived at Saving Grace and was spayed the day before I met her. This meant that her transition to my home was even more scary / difficult. Thankfully she is sweet, but her temperament could have been totally different since I met her one day post op. Saving Grace is not transparent about pets’ medical records. I was told my dog was medically cleared and did not have kennel cough or any other infections. It became clear in 12 hours that she was sick. She also has a visible, external tumor on her belly that they easily would have noticed when she was spayed. Since I was told she had a clean bill of health, I hoped the tumor had been looked at and deemed unconcerning. I am still in the midst of vet visits and expensive tests to determine what is going on with my dog’s health. In my opinion, it seems like they push sick dogs out as quickly as possible to avoid paying for their medical care. I’d recommend adopting elsewhere.
Michael Beck: Great place for fostering and adopting dogs!
Kimberly Lassiter: A happy place. Makes me think doggy Disney land. A fabulous place to be waiting for your forever family. Wonderful people too.
JAMES Jackson: Very friendly easy to deal with
Sonia Dubiansky: We adopted our boy, Ollie, from Saving Grace in January! We had a great experience (other than having to wait until his kennel cough improved, but only a few days) with adoption. Ollie was the first dog we saw and met. We immediately fell in love. They took us to a fenced off area to get to know him by himself and walk him around on a leash for a little bit. They also did a cat-test with him with the resident cat to make sure he didn't attack cats! Ollie is the love of our life, we couldn't be happier and luckier to have gotten such an amazing dog.
Mary-Helen Kolousek: Thank you, Saving Grace, for helping me find my new buddy! When my application was accepted, I had one dog in mind that I desperately wanted. I picked the earliest slot I could find on the first day he was available. When I got there, I was informed that he had been adopted already. This was very, very disappointing but completely understandable as they had made their policy clear in multiple email communications + online and I could imagine it being quite difficult to hold dogs for certain adopters given the large number they have available. Luckily, after being directed towards the puppy area, the adoption coordinator pointed out two little terrier mixes who weren’t listed online. I quickly fell in love with the boy and was able to take him home that day.He has been an absolute pleasure since then and is taking well to leash, trick, and crate training. I can tell that he was well socialized as has had very few issues eating and playing alongside my older dog.
Linda Williams: Got my sweet Heidi girl from here !!
cat: The worst place ever the lady has a nasty attitude you have to jump through hurdles and hoops to see the dog no one wants to give you information I would never go back to this place it was the worst experience
DPattmaster: I deliver there every week, I love the scenery
Dan Della Rova: Just a great place to adopt a pet! It's a bit of a process, but I'm sure their system is in place to make sure they are placing the dog with the right person, and best environment based on his/her temperament and activity level.
Selena Brown: Couldn’t be happier with my decision to go through Saving Grace! This was my first time visiting the grounds, i received a very friendly welcome from both the humans and the dogs! The property is very well kept and beautiful. You can tell all the pups in their care are happy and well tended to. I went in to meet Harrison, a funky little guy with a very… unique appearance. When word got around that he had a potential adopter, so many of the volunteers and employees stopped by to tell me how great he is and how happy they are for him. It was a really nice experience and i left with a new family member! Thank you everyone at Saving Grace 3
C Blanda: They are the best!
Derek Woods: Great shelter, amazing animals.
dahiana lopez: I love volunteering at this animal rescue. They have a great system with maintaining the wellness of the dogs. So many puppies come in each day and also get adopted! They run adoptions mon-friday which is amazing. I adopted my second doggo from here recently and it was a smooth process. I was given all his medical history, he was neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and checked for heartworms and fleas. They have a great team, only have good things to say about this place! Highly recommend for volunteering opportunities and adopting your dog from here.
Jeff Guthrie: These guys do wonderful work!
JCA Insurance Planners: We adopted a lovely lab shepherd mix. Great people to work with and very easy process.
