NCIAP Peoples Medical Care: what do users think?
Roby Dominguez: I cannot ignore my experience on 8/6/2023, that day I went with my mother-in-law to the clinic in search of medical attention for her hypertension condition, from the moment we entered the young woman who attends is very kind and willing to help and I forgot to ask her name because I would have liked to put it in this Review, once they took us to the waiting room the Doctor arrived who for me means what God wants for us on this earth to love each other as God loves us, the name of that beautiful person full of love, helpful, affectionate and here I would not finish describing what that Doctor irradiated in that consultation and to make it short would be that she was full of love to give (Pamela Harris-Claxton) I left that clinic with a feeling and an unparalleled experience that with love we can live better thanks for your excellent service do not let it fall.....
Charmi Patel: How is it fair that the patient has to reschedule if they’re 15 minutes late but if they’re on time you still have to wait for 30+ min just to see the doctor for 5 minutes. There aren’t even as many patients that would hold up the doctor for too long. Wait time is the only issue with me. Besides that its all good. Apex location is the best. Raleigh not so much
Kavitha Aremanda: Kudos to the team at Apex location!! Ibow to Dr.Agarwal for his time and the expertise in treating the patients.Thank you for your services!!
Spunky Joyce: I've been going here for 9 years and have never had a bad experience. Though I have medical insurance, I prefer to go to NCIAP because their prices are better and I feel that I receive better care.Remember, when reading reviews, there's always two sides to every story. Reviews only tell one side. HIPPA prevents you from hearing the other side. I highly recommend this office and their wonderful staff.
soukayna khay: this place is worth less than one star the staff is rude and the doctor is worse doesn't listen to patient concerns not professional at all very disappointed
Miriam Ventura: The front desk people are soo rude if they are there to help people and attend them they shouldn’t be rude
Destinyanne Miller: The girl that runs the front desk is extremely rude.... aside from that it’s a nice place.
Lark Burford: Got in quickly. Listened. Did not segregate symptoms/ailments as so many do these days, which is medically dangerous.
Rose Richardson: *Edited for extra info and clarifying titles*My husband was referred by his therapist to this place for an antidepressant prescription. I immediately didn’t care for the place (some loud phone conversations where you could hear people’s information being talked about, the visits seemed rushed, etc)but due to budget concerns it’s what we could afford. $55 base and they check blood pressure and weight, have you wait up to 2 hours sometimes, to talk to you for 15 minutes. The nurse practitioner that we always saw did not show adequate concern for issues my husband was having as a result of his new medication. The first one he was prescribed was eventually causing bad side effects. I called and left a message and the call was not returned. At the next appointment I mentioned it, and the doctor said she hadn’t gotten a message and seemed to disbelieve that I had called. She didn’t seem concerned or offer to look into it. My husband expressed concerns that he would like to come off of his previous medication before getting a new one and she said it would help him with symptoms to get on another one right away. So he started the new medication. Uncontrollable muscle spasms, so bad that he couldn’t confidently pick up things. He also developed worse SI and uneven moods, but I was not given a chance to mention those. I called to let them know about this symptom and that he had discontinued use of the medication. I was interrupted by the receptionist and referred to the nurse, who also interrupted me before I could finish speaking. The nurse spoke to the nurse practitioner (I could hear the nurse practitioner in the background, but she went back and forth with the nurse to ask questions and relay messages to me), and all the nurse practitioner had to say is that he should drink more water and eat bananas. She also questioned as to whether we thought his symptoms were the result of the medication(the whole reason for the call), despite the fact that it’s a listed, but rare, side effect of the medication! She showed absolutely no concern for his wellbeing and asked no further questions about his condition. My husband drinks a lot of water already. He already eats bananas on a daily basis. Then I was told that he would need to come in to change his medication. That’s it. To me this interaction was thoughtless and negligent. I called back and cancelled the appointment. I would not recommend this place to anyone and would give zero stars if it was an option. You don’t even get what you pay for. We will be paying more elsewhere to receive adequate care.
Kelly Fowler: You're better off paying the money to go to a real doctor! You'll end up there anyway and then you've paid for both places!
Samudra Vijay: Very professional staff... Cost-effective care.
April P.: I absolutely love the place. I was going through a really serious medical condition and they were able to provide me with accurate care that help save my life. Everything isn't for everybody however this place works for me.
Leighann Kinter: I was disappointed by my experience with NCIAP Peoples Medical Care. I took my friend there for the first time in September 2017. He had some serious symptoms, like difficulty breathing, dizziness, nausea, headaches and a lump growing on the back of his head. When he walked out, he wasn’t given any information on what possibility could have gone wrong. They just prescribed him an antibiotic. The doctor said he wouldn’t even look at the lump on his head or check out the issues he was having with secretions from his eyes, because they weren't “covered” under their services. On the positive side, the front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The wait time was very reasonable. They welcome walk-ins and they have the most affordable prices for a walk-in medical consultation (around $55 for regular visit). It was affordable and quick, but from a value perspective, it wasn't worth it. I would have rather spent more time and money to receive decent medical attention elsewhere.

I felt like finally here's a medical facility interested in good solid patient care. I highly recommend them.

She indicated that even though I am in good health they would like for me to visit about 4 times a year. This is good because I am an older patient and my health can change over a years' time.
Barbara Oakley: We thoroughly enjoyed our experience with every staff member we met starting with the staff member who was probably going out for lunch. We met him leaving as we were coming in. He held the door for us and greeted us. Nice manners. Everyone we met was personable and thorough. We love your business model and feel like we have true advocates for keeping my husband and me healthy.

Boylan Healthcare: what do users think?
Diana Cameron McQueen: I used to go here many years ago and it was great... however I was shocked to see such a low review score...I stopped coming bc their labs kept throwing incorrect results and now it seems the organization has gotten even worse. They are short on rooms and no consideration is given for how long people have been waiting after check-in. They have multiple doctors yes but poor communication between them to serve people better. Insurance and healthcare is so bad in this country now I guess I should be glad someone picked up the phone when I called. Most doctors just have dead end phone trees and never pick up. But now I'm remembering why I left...
Mrs Carlos: The nurses are not at all helpful. They don’t read messages in my chart correctly. I’ve been going to Boylan for over 20 years, time to find a new practice.
Laura Landsiedel Ford: I have visited may times over the years and have had positive and helpful experiences at both locations and with all doctors and PAs. So far despite the challenges docs and patients have had with the pandemic and access to medical care, they've been great.
Emilie Peedin: I’ve been going to Boylan for about 2+ years now, when they added the womens center I was excited to have everything in one place. I scheduled an appointment with dr.Bess for health concerns and also told her my birth control needed to be filled. At the appointment Dr.Bess was SUPER medical and non empathetic after receiving some concerning news. She told me she would fill medication and my birth control. I have not received and update about test results nor have I had a follow up from her about our appointment and next steps AND she didn’t refill my birth control. When I was finally able to get a response from them about the issue it had been 2 weeks since I messaged and a full month since I had been seen. Nurse refused to give me a prescription to hold me over unless a scheduled an annual with dr.Bess. She said if I planned to go somewhere else or made the appointment without planning to show up, she couldn’t refill it. I am EXTREMELY discouraged. I work in healthcare and I thought we were supposed to be taking care of patients? Never coming back. Do not schedule with Bess
NATS 2021: Not a good experience. New receptionist was there first time I was there, she should not have been alone because she really didn’t know anything. Second time I was there, they tried forcing me to take a test I didn’t want to take. Third time, they changed my appointment time without telling me. 10/10 would not recommend and I won’t return.
Jake Breedlove: Rude phone call. Cancelled appointment. These people are unwilling to serve you if you're (mildly) sick. Great if you're healthy, just if you need a doctor, steer well clear.
Tonya Crump: I was very dissatisfied yesterday regarding the experience encountered when my mom had to give blood. In all the years she has been required to get lab work done she has never been left with a big bruise on her hand not one but two. I forgot the ladies name but she leaves something to be desired. She had my moms hand bleeding uncontrollably and bruised it was to the point I said does she need to come back. However that is my moms last time going to that labcorp it was by far the worst experience ever and one for the books.
Lisa Pearce: I've been going to Boylan for over a decade and have seen 3 physicians- all were wonderful. One left to practice holistic medicine and the other two are still there. Dr. Garriga and Kim Darlington, PA. I have been with Darlington the longest- she is responsive, inquisitive and wants to get down to the bottom of any concern, she has never rushed me and made me a part of the process for my health, she refers me to a specialist as needed. I have always felt comfort and compassion from her care. I wanted to make a review seeing some of the negative statements. I can say that the front desk has not been as welcoming, friendly as I would hope for since they are your first point of contact.
Jill Morin: I'm so disappointed with Boylan Vitality. I have called, texted, emailed via mychart and tried multiple times to get scheduled and get questions answered. It boggles my mind how my messages are ignored and they have not responded. I don't understand how you can run a business like this.
Meagan Graley: I've been seeing Charley Lane for a few years now. I absolutely LOVE her! She takes her time and truly cares. I send all of my friends and family to her!
Heather Chase: I’m making this post per request of Ms. Scott who is a 93 year old patient of Dr. Charlie. She said that she is so pleased to have found a doctor that actually cares. “She takes her time and listens to everything that is going on with me. I love her because she is the best!” -C Scott
Diane Chamberlain: My husband and I have been patients at Boylan (both Health Park and North Hills) for the 15 years we've been in Raleigh. We adored Harriet Hansell and after she left, started seeing Robin Burnette. Dr Burnette is sharp and personable and we feel very lucky she's our doctor. I've also had very good experiences with the PAs, including one who suspected correctly a blood clot in my leg and made sure I got immediate attention and treatment.
Dee Collins: I have been going to Boylan Healthcare for probably 20 years, and only changed MDs there once because of a move. I am very happy with my care from Dr. Terezis. She is always pleasant, caring, asks about any concerns and takes time to listen if I need a little extra time. She never makes me feel rushed. In rare instances that they are a little behind or had an emergency, she always apologizes for the extra wait. I usually use the communications app because I feel it takes less of staff time if I need to contact her with questions, and she gets back to me within 24 hrs, sometimes the same day. I've never had any problems with office staff, insurance, medication refills or referrals to specialists. Thank you, Dr. Terezis, for excellent care!
Carol Williams: I am not a patient, but I have heard many negative comments about this practice that I think raises red flags and maybe should be investigated,A couple of the doctors are downright rude,Very unprofessional,They should be open to listening to patients and their spouses concerns according to hippa, would not recommend this practice !!
Candi Sargeant: My experience at Boylan Healthcare under Charley Lane has always been a positive one. I saw her once as a work in patient and I knew I wanted to continue my care with her. She expresses genuine care and concern. Very thorough and I always have confidence in her recommendations for me. She is very personable and I always feel comfortable discussing details of my health with her.
Melly M: Dr. Marty took really good care of me, thank you!
Lynn Sazama: I want to Give a commendation to Charley Lane, PA! I have been her patient on several occasions and she is always thorough and complete. She is kind, compassionate and always listens to my concerns and I have great confidence in the treatment and recommendations she provides. I highly recommend Charley!
Renard DellaFave: Pretty happy with my regular Dr. Garriga, and the office has been responsive with quick appointments with an alternate person (they've been good too: Noble, Hillebrenner) if something comes up that needs immediate attention. The staff have been helpful with records or other paperwork extras I've needed. Yes the waiting room has ads, I can't say I care.
Lesle McClure: I have always had positive experiences at Boylan Healthcare. I have never waited after an appt. time more than a few minutes. I do feel Dr. Garriga is well qualified to take care of me, and to refer me to a specialist when needed. My only issue is the performance of the online system, but I feel over time that will improve.
Tj Baucom: I'll tell you where I draw the line, advertisements for cosmetic surgery in the waiting room. There are at least 5 banners in the waiting room. I've honestly never seen this before. I'm 39 and been coming here since I was 18 and the quality of some of the staff has really suffered over the years. The nurses and doctors/P.A.'s are still good, at least the ones I deal with. But advertisements in a waiting room says "We want money!".I usual see either Newell or Worley and they are pretty great and worth looking past the banners and staff issues. Buy advertisements? Really?
Phyllis Roberts: They take awesome care of Mom

Raleigh VA Clinic: what do users think?
Dianne Grubbs: The VA has to do better…especially the one on Sungate Drive in Raleigh. My father had a walk in visit on July 3. His primary care doctor was not there. The male nurse called us back to the room to schedule the appointment(which didn’t make sense). He was rude and raised his voice. I kindly waited until he returned to the room and told him he needed to apologize to my Dad, my brother and myself for how he talked to us. Told him that’s not how you talk to patients or their family. He apologized. It got worse. We saw Dr. Go….she’s rude, not professional at all. Please tell me why the VA has this doctor working there. Showed her the rash (which we told her it was shingles) and she did nothing. Said if she prescribed something it would change the shape of it. Really? She didn’t prescribe anything except for a referral to a dermatologist. How would you feel if someone treated you like this. Please find out what kind of people you hire to work for the VA because some of them do not care about the patients.
George Davis: I was using primary care at Raleigh clinic for years and was treated well by Dr. Falge. Unfortunately he left and I was assigned Dr. Go. It was a horrible interaction. Go is rude, uncaring and down right mean. I had to switch my primary care to Durham just to get away from her.
Latoya Braswell: Paperwork that I needed over a month ago never came. Asked for it to be mailed to me and I never got it. The paperwork process needs to improve. 14 days is a long time to wait for paperwork.
Jason Binkley: Had a great time when NP B was my GP. Treatment with dignity and respect. Things have continued to go south, unfortunately, with confrontational providers, condescending, answering my questions about policy with “well then, you should know to go look it up on your own”. I get it—pompous medical providers there to collect a paycheck, bennies, and bragging rights on Veteran’s Day—but hear me. As a premier combat medic myself for nearly 13-years, I know what GREAT providers look like. The behavior exhibited at this clinic is not it. Some of us are going to be a tad late at times as we juggle work, kids and permanent and total disability from WAR. We don’t all know every arbitrary rule or regulation. That’s your job. Speak to us with the utmost respect and honor remembering that we don’t have to be there utilizing your services. We don’t have to be abused when we walk through those doors. We CHOOSE the VA but maybe not for long. Get over yourselves over there and remember why you have a good paying job in the first place—old time warfighters, some of which are homeless, addicts, and/or in jail. We have held up our end of the bargain—now it’s your turn.
LaPrei (LOVE): I have dealt with VARIOUS VA clinics and Hospitals, and I will say that RA1 has some of the most professional medical staff and assistants. Thank you for that US NAVY VETERAN
Logan Yost: I was in the Army for 4.5 years and when I got out I feared using VA health care because of how I was treated by the workers while I was in. My first check-in, and everyone after it, with the VA since being a veteran has been amazing! They were all very nice and patient. This specific clinic has some of the most helpful people I’ve encountered in both military and civilian health care. You all are great, keep it up!
Walter R Bell: I guess they are short staffed like most places.. you cant get through on the phone..
Ant Rogers: Very great experience. I love my nurse and doctor. Parking is goof as well
Paul: Worst clinic. They never answer the phone and when they do eventually they are not helpful.
R: This is the standard that all VA clinics should be held to. Outstanding work.
David Green: Great Service
Riché Wiley: I've been taking my dad to this clinic for years. You hear a lot of not-so-great things about the VA, but this clinic has always been great.
Francesca Vines: Their patient care sucks there has been times I’ve needed documents and have gotten there 5 mins before 430 they will close the door and look the other way.
Ray Haas: Great VA facility. If my appointment is at 8, they are ready for me at 8. Good, caring, considerate staff.
Accountings: Thank You for a Quick response to my questions i had today.
keith elder: Over all,, big picture,, I've had good service,,, nothing is perfect so dont expect it. They only have a bazillion cranky vets to look after.
Suzanne Montiel: I've been with the sungste clinic about 3 years. Always professional and very patient friendly.Highly recommend.
todd young: Facility is ok and staff are nice but my bad experiences are more with the scheduling of appointments. In my case it's either the doctor is out on vacation or school or you can't get a appointment for three weeks. That's just too long. Yes you can always go to hospital in Durham but that's not convenient or close. They need more personnel for quicker schedule times.
Chris Cancilla: Dr. Nasruddin is AMAZING....no she is AWESOME!!!She saw something in the previous tests I had, she read between the lines. Sent me for a test and averted a really bad situation. I literally owe her my life. She's a KEEPER!!!Everyone at the Raleigh CBOC is caring, professional, and dedicated. THIS is what service to patients really looks like.I have never had a bad experience here, or at the Durham hospital. Yes, I may sit in the waiting room a while; but each and every person you see gives you the impression you are their only patient.I LOVE THESE PEOPLE!!!
Anthony Dismuke (Chap): Great Staff!
Mike Benson: Fantastic clinic. 100 times better than the past four private doctors/clinics I've been to over the past 15 years. My NP (Ms. S) is the best, most knowledgeable and most caring doctor/medical professional I have ever had in my life.

Advance Community Health - Raleigh: what do users think?
BETTY BOYD: My granddaughter goes there the doctors and staff are extremely nice.
Marvin and Stacy Thomas: Very caring and compassionate providers and care team! Definitely recommend!
Chandra Butler: My Dr is here and She's Great.!!
Michelle Roberts: I got a ultrasound May 5, its May 23rd I called multiple times about my results ito speak with the nurse and on one returned my call unbelievable, oh my bad one call on the 22nd of May with blood work results from 2022, knew nothing about my results ultrasound.I'm trying not to go into office cause my attitude and my pain level , looking into finding another doctor
Veronica Dominguez: I recently had my first appointment as a new patient at Advance Community, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. While the security guard and check-in staff were friendly and efficient, my interaction with Dr. Grace Gichuhi, MSN, FNP, was less than satisfactory. Dr. Gichuhi initially scanned me while inquiring questions on my visit. When Dr. Gichuhi learned of my medical diagnosis, they way she treated me was worst. Despite expressing my concerns about abdominal and heart pain, Dr. Gichuhi only performed a brief heart check and did not thoroughly address my specific areas of discomfort. It seemed that she did not want to examine me. I also mentioned a knee injury, which I expressed I needed a new referral due to insurance change. She fail to examine my knee and kept stating that I should return to the previous specialist who assisted me. After continuously inquiring for a referral to be able to return, she finally did it. However, if she would have examine my knee, she would not have hesitated to refer me, initially. What disappointed me further was her demeanor during the consultation. She repeatedly corrected my pronunciation and vocabulary in a condescending manner, making me feel incompetent and undervalued. Additionally, the lack of a comprehensive treatment plan and the omission of several concerns in the paperwork added to my frustration. In my experience, I honestly felt discriminative against due to my medical diagnoses and/or of Hispanic descent. Unfortunately due to not obtaining what I needed, I had to make another app. for next week with another Dr. to get the medical service I need. As a new patient, it was appalling to find out that this was not the only isolated incident. She has a pattern of treating individuals this way.It is crucial for healthcare professionals to provide equitable and respectful care to all patients, irrespective of their backgrounds.
Lerrell Parker: My visit here was very pleasant from the time I walked in and out. The security guard was very friendly and genuinely greeted everyone that came in and out. The front desk lady, Joqietter was very nice and also engaged me in conversation as she took my info. The girl that took me to the back and took my vitals Plesha, was like a little sister, she was a joy to talk to. Dr. Colin, at first I couldn't really read his energy but, he loosened up a bit and turned out awesome, maybe it was time for a lil coffee 🤣The lab nurse was the highlight of the end of my visit, I hate I didn't get her name but, we'll just call her the sistah with the starter locs. Her energy was everything an awesome aura. Thanks for a great visit to all the staff I encountered.
Emily Leverett: They are friendly and they have different classes to attend
Chris W: When DR's move on, no notice no medication until you see replacement Dr, so if you take meds BEWARE, they was the reason my GMA had a stroke she ran out meds wouldn't refill meds until new Dr visit which was a month later....THEY NEED NEW POLICIES ON THAT
Andrea Williams: It should not take years to sign yes or no papers. I have a Class A CDL and was let go at my job just because my doctor did not want to take a few seconds to sign papers that i can return back to another facility. After i get my papers, this doctors office will never see me again. It should not take a whole week for something so simple.
Venessa Spence: First time going here and there was honestly no point in having an appointment... don't think I will be going back
Yoselin medina: La atención es muy buena y. El personal es muy amable
Terrell Hilliard: Definitely do not consider if you need something done urgently. It’s going on 4 months and my mother still can’t get them to fill out her sleep apnea paperwork so that she can get her machine. She keeps calling and going down there but all she gets is the run around. Low income individuals should have access to the same healthcare and help as everyone else. This place really doesn’t care for their patients.
Henry M. Lancaster II: Quiet but effective community resource.
Mesfin Mekuria: Excellent service
Naya Frederick: Tish Folld Was The Best Nurse I Had & Would Like To Have Her As My Nurse For All My Appointments , She Is Sweet & Respectful 💓💓💓💋💋💋
Anyi Marte: Tranquidad u bueno servicio
Rachel Monee: This has been a horrible experience with this office. It is completely unacceptable that they are unable to complete simple tasks on behalf of their patients. Sending referrals with missing information and taking way too long to correct the forms and send them back. I have been trying to get a referral for home health for my elderly aunt since DECEMBER !!! They keep leaving her Medicaid ID number off the form . I am completely disgusted by the lack of care and accountability and we will be finding her a new Doctor pronto . Please don’t take on the hassle, just find another office. I would not recommend them at all!!!
Angela Brock: Advance Community Health Has come so so so very far.1. I have been under their care since 1991, and the change is crazy..2. I like the fact that they have more than 1 location.3. The doctors care has also change.4. The system of keeping up with confidence and privacy of the their patients also has come a long ways.5. I like the fact they have and in house pharmacy.6. The waiting has been cut in half.So much more....I know that I mentioned in my earlier post about how much the location on Rock Quarry has changed. However I am highly upset right nowThe story began 2.3 years ago. I was so amazed at how the office change I didn't even think about the kind of services they were going to have if you really need someone..This place is Horrible Horrific Horrible if you valie your life or your family life FINE ANOTHER PC Doctor. I went for test 2.3 years ago and do you known when they return the results? Right after a ER visit in which I end up with Colon Cancer having to immediately have surgery.. 2.3 year later I call for meds after another visit to ER where. Blood Sugar was so high it took around 5 hours to get it down.. Now I know the situation shouldn't have gotten that bad in either one of the cases however trying to home remedy the situation wasn't to my advantage however the 1st incident the visit was less than a week, the second was 3 weeks and i left pee that they probably never looked at.I m very upset I thank God he is looking out for me, because if not for him I stutter to think what might have been. I call at 8:00 this. Morning it is now 12:00 nothing but hum just to let you know it could take.up too 48 hoursI have been going there for over 25 years is this the treatment a person should get on any leave??? I called 10:33 just to get that same dum message.. It takes some time I know because it seems like no one is excepting new patients. Just don't you give up.....
Chantal Pugliese: First time as a patient in this place, the first appointment was to take information, the second was for the physical and the practitioner made the appoinment for me to follow up on my back pain, I asked the assistant if she could do the physical for me and she She sent me to say that I had to make another appointment, This appoinment supposed to be for the physical, that clown made me waste my time, many nurse practitioners in this place in the adult area as well as in the pediatric area, the name of the clown nurse practitioner is Omotunde Adeyeme she is not a doctor , and the complaint It was also set for the bosses.
Mari DeJesus Jackson: Unprofessional.
Loronica hartsfield: I called 3 weeks ago trying to get an appointment. They just called back. SmhLack of concern from the entire staff. They all should be fired...esp the front desk staff! If you value your health, Don't Go Here!UpdateStill no good. Nothings changed, staying is worse.
