Duke Raleigh Hospital: what do users think?
Sabrina Miller: I understand I called on a holiday, which would’ve been okay if your representative wasn’t so rude and cutting me off every 2 seconds. I couldn’t explain my issue before “I’m not gonna tell you again I can’t help you cause it’s a holiday” kept coming out of his mouth. We deal with such a cruel world now when I call my doctors office I get to deal with cruel people. Let’s get it together. Ridiculous
Cristina Cervetto: Had the worst experience at the emergency room. They are disorganized l, nobody knows what is going on with your care as there are contradictory in both your chart and the medical personnel. Terrible patient care and total lack of bedside manners specially from the doctor.
john farmer: Back surgery but was treated good.
Kayla Lunduski: Overall, great. Thank you for everything - the whole team I’ve had.
Ashley Bush: I had the best treatment and experience one could have at a hospital. Dr. Shah made me feel like a person and not a number. All the nurses were so kind. Nick, Keila, etc. 10/10 recommend that emergency room!
Brent & Christine: I waited almost one calendar year to write my review.Dr. Grossi saved my life and livelihood with a spine surgery, I would recommend him as a doctor because he’s the only person in this joke of a medical system that would do my surgery….BUT I would not recommend the hospital at all. I would especially not recommend the ER with the little big man behind the desk that imposes his will and threatens to call security on everyone that comes in the door. He also actively prevents patients from laying down (there is nowhere to lay down, so much for ADA compliance in this ER). I was in full sciatic stroke and he was trying to call security on me for trying to lay flat in a desperate attempt to get my 10/10 pain to ease. He needs to be fired and someone with some actual human feelings and hospitality needs to be hired in his place.
Sheila Burke: This is a horrible hospital that disregarded patient's wellbeing and safety
Laura Molina: Brought my mother here, very rude staff, races nurse Leo in the emergency room, yelled at my mother! And a couple racial comments, towards my mother! When she got moved up stairs and she would ask for help they would take, 30 minutes or more just come help her!!!! Never again taking her to Wake Med
Wenona Young: They taking down reviews that say this hospital is no good!!Duke is the worse hospitals!!!They emergency room will not treat you unless you are near death .They admitted this too meAnd this skinny blonde nurse that works at night is very sorry and she seems very racist.
ETB 814: Forced to pre-pay before a surgery (even with a Great PPO plan), and 5 months later, the billing is still unresolved. The repetitious response? Give it another 30 days. Having lived throughout the U.S., Duke Health is by far the single worst health system I’ve ever dealt with. Embarrassingly slow responses, and zero customer-centric focus…just finger pointing and a subtle “too bad” attitude.
Thomas Moorman: Imaging team is outstanding. Great experience from ease of parking to E-Check-in to CT scan!
Martin Brossman: Went to visit a friend here on a Saturday and seems to have free parking and then you must walk around to the front. Or fully check in staff with civil.
Jason Day: Security measures are so extra. They keep adding in things to do just to make you jump through hoops for no reason.
Q W.: I went in on valentines day to their ER. The Dr. L. Conger didn't check my urine or blood and just assumed my diagnosis. The nurse wanted to do tests but he just said I was fine and they threw away my urine. Turns out I had a UTI for over a month! They sent me home with stomach medications -.- They didn't work. I AM still really sick bc of the lack of care by Dr. Conger I needed antibiotics. I went to WakeMed today and received blood and urine tests which showed the infection. Dr Conger needs to do tests, everytime SIR. You just guessed, literally only looked inside my mouth. Tests make an educated guess. I'd hope the Doctors employed by Duke would order routine tests for every sick ER patient. -- Turns out other people are complaining about lack of care by Dr. L. Conger in the reviews. I contacted the NC Division of Health Service Regulations and filed a patient complaint. The Duke contact webpage has a link, or you can Google if you've also received neglectful care from Duke ER.
Joe Davis: Wife had her jewelry stolen after procedure and when we contacted them about it, we were told this happens all the time. That doesn't make it okay. That makes it worse. I would not recommend coming here for anything. Stuff will go missing clearly and they will not care.
Sparkle Mosby: After a very unpleasant & unfortunate experience with another local hospital who shall remain nameless(they aren't even worth mentioning) my daughter and I came to Duke Raleigh. It was late at night & I understand most of the staff were tired but the Dr & nurse who took care of my daughter were very thorough, compassionate & empathetic. Their names escape me right now but I will never forget their faces or what they've done to make my daughter feel comfortable & to give her a proper diagnosis. Emergency Rooms can be hit or miss sometimes but this is the 2nd time I had to use Duke Raleigh and they pleased me everytime. If I need emergency care again, Duke Raleigh will be my first choice.
cierra callahan: honestly yesterday was my first time at that hospital and it was insane. I had got there and waited for 4 hours to finally get seen, they would not give me water even tho i already had my iv fluids go inside me. some of the nurses were very very rude to me. One incident was, i had two nurses in one room and i asked one of them if i can unplug the annoying beeping bed and she confirmed, 2 hours later im having the worst pain and the other nurse comes in and has a very bad attitude with me about the bed...i told her the other nurse told me it was okay but she was being so rude to me and made the main priority the bed when i was in visible pain When i started to cry she told me to stop and said "we don't do that here". It seems like nobody here likes their job and takes it out on their patients. get rid of rude staff thanks.
T Robinski: It really is a wildly rude environment, disdainful toward families with children, not where you want your family member to be stuck, even for elective surgery. Stay away. WakeMed or Duke Durham is much preferred. Illogical "covid" policies is absolutely correct.Side note- I also overheard an obviously frail and disabled elderly woman telling the staff at the front desk that she was feeling threatened and afraid of the female security guard that was posting up on her and speaking agressively when she walked in. The staff members response was "oh that's just how she stands". So there you go, that's our new standard of care. "We do what we want, no matter how it makes you feel. And you deal with it. Your feelings are not valid" is the entire vibe.
Levin Traver: was brought in by ambulance for gunshot wound. was not given anti biotics once the day and a half i was there. when i asked for a prescription at discharge i was given a lie about not needing them.my wound was not dressed and it also was still full of debree from an object that had been in front of me. also not ince did they pack my wound or even tell me that i would need to to avoid serious infection.needless to say my wound became very infected and i took myself to a different hospital that actually cared about moderately cared for my well being.
Kim Bayles: Our mom was there for 11 days and everyone was so nice and helpful. She had amazing nurses and cna’s through her whole stay in ICU to PICU.
Marta Font: Horrible experience, never back again there ..

WakeMed North Hospital: what do users think?
Angela Hughes: the most unprofessional and rude nurses I have ever come across
Lena Poole: Came to the ER for the first time, this one is no different than the one on new Bern been here damn near all night still haven't been seen. #Annoyedand irritatedbeyondbelief.
Johnna Martin: I was having bad stomach pains and went to the emergency room at Wake Med. My experience was UNBELIEVABLY FANTASTIC!!The staff from starting at check in and all the way to being released was amazing. The staff at this hospital is AMAZING!!!5 stars!!
Brent Dugan: I can't express how wonderful a potentially bad visit to the ER was. The staff at WakeMed North Hospital ER were nothing but friendly, courteous, respectful, and humorous! From entering the ER lobby, dreading a possible appendectomy and being greeted by [Intake Care Rep] Max, to thanking him as I left several hours later, every staff member I encountered was friendly, courteous, and respectful. Dr. Bernard, Nurse Joanne, Nurse Vince, and others were awesome!I hope to never visit an ER again, but if I do, I'll try to make it to the WakeMed North Hospital ER!
sandy m: Never answer the phone and when you leave a message they never call back
Matt Sharpe: Just had our first baby here and the staff have been phenomenal. So compassionate, knowledgeable, attentive, etc. The lactation consultants have been so helpful in understanding our options and explaining the physiology behind different methods. The facilities are clean and modern. Parking is super easy, no big parking decks. This was one of the hardest things we've done together and the staff made it so much more manageable.
Eliecer Gonzalez: I recently visited Waked with my brother who has respiratory problems. While the receptionist asked standard questions, I felt that she took a long time to do so and did not seem very empathetic towards our situation. When I offered to answer the questions myself, she seemed dismissive of my concerns. It would have been helpful if the receptionist had taken our situation more seriously and been more responsive to our needs. I hope that in the future, Waked can provide better training to their staff to ensure that every customer is treated with respect and compassion. The security personnel asked my brother to put on a mask. My brother explained that he was having difficulty breathing and was unable to wear a mask. We then went to the receptionist to let her know that we would have to leave because the security was asking for a mask. However, we noticed that the receptionist and another person sitting nearby were not wearing masks either. This was concerning for us as we were trying to take all necessary precautions to protect ourselves and others. We hope that in the future, Waked can ensure that all their staff members follow the safety protocols that they demand on customers and take the necessary steps to keep their customers safe.Worst receptionist ever!!! Never coming back.
Bob James: Staff worked quickly and were super friendly.
Lexie Burns: My friend came into the ER complaining that she has a burning in her chest, difficulty breathing and a few more things. All they told her was along the lines of ‘youve been diagnosed with anxiety which explains this. That and the fact you’re fat’. Ignored her when her iv started to bleed and when her stomach started hurting. Her Dr. Talked to her twice in the 3 days she was there… 10min max. She requested that some tests be done since this has been ongoing for 2 months now, which as the patient she has a right to request tests. They refused. BP while sitting was 110/80, pulse was 90, while sleeping the chart showed higher rates. She was completely ignored and just told over and over again that it was just her anxiety nothing more. Oh and this morning was vomiting with blood. Only prescribed pain led that she never received and they sent her home. They clearly didn’t have the patient’s health in mind at all during this trip.
Olivia: Surgery is never a fun or fantastic experience, but the nurses in PACU were incredible, even when I had complications post-op.
blah blah blah karen: Best nurses ❤️
Kelly Stuchbury: Hit or miss. Sometimes you go and the staff is helpful and quick. Other times it’s a nightmare and impossible to catch a nurse passing by or even find out what’s going on. If you end up arriving on a good day, you can be in and out without an hour or so (depending on what’s going on of course). If a bad/busy day, you’ll probably wait three hours to get an X-ray and another 3 to get the results.
Adam Purcell: unbelievable wait for broken bones. slowest er ever
Cindy Rivas: Gave birth here and experience was terrible night nurse I had was overly rude and could careless. All but one nurse were helpfull wish I could remember her name It was my morning nurse that I had until 5. I was left alone in room for hours even felt asleep after I had my epidural at around 12am nurse and doctor came rushing to begin labor had me give birth in less than 20 minutes my baby was born PURPLE and nurse took her immediately after birth because she wasnt turning “red” as fast as she wanted, meaning my baby could’ve died due to there negligence. Asked for them to do SSN for my daughter here I am a year and half later struggling trying to get her SSN!! Terrible place go elsewhere if you want a safe delivery!
Money Team: This place is the worst place ever don't come close to shift change! They don't care about anything besides going home!!!!!! I've been waiting for 4 hours, customer service is wack, I hated to give 1 star!!
H Smith: Just concerned about privacy and HIPAA with the hall beds. My last visit the nurse was unwelcoming and the iv cause pain. A week later and my arm still hurts. I had to have her remove it. Overall you are seen right away to ensure no life threatening concerns. My treating physician was attentive as well as imaging staff.
Paul Royster: Had to take my girlfriend to the ER here tonight at about 1am on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. Absolutely NO WAIT TIME AT ALL. I was amazed. The place was clean. The staff was friendly. There wasn’t 1000 people waiting in the lobby. She was actually given pain medication and treated with compassion and great care. The doctor and nurses were SO AWESOME. Everyone really was attentive and no one had a God complex.. which is rare for a hospital. This contradicts every experience I’ve had at Duke ER. They suck!! Wake Med is fantastic!
Taylor Downs: I went in to the emergency room last night with a cut that needed stitches. I really don't look forward to going to the hospital but since I did have to go it was actually a smooth & fairly quick process.Everyone did their job and did it well. It seemed like everyone enjoy who they worked with and what their duties are . I felt comfortable from the front desk to the physician who did my which he did a impressive job. He explained to his colleagues and to myself exactly what he was doing literally every step of the way. . And my stitches are beautifully placed. Also i was in and out in about 2 and a half hours 5 stitched later.it was very clean. When I was waiting to be seen by the pa , a staff member possibly janitor came by and whipped the bathroom handle of the door at least 3 times .I was impressed based on my previous er experiences.
Amanda Blackwood: I was having blurry vision in left eye and chest pressure. My primary care doctor suggested I go to ER. I have multiple heart issues and leukemia. I was advised to stay overnight to do more test and be seen by a neurologist. I stayed from noon on March 12 and we left around 6:30pm on March 13. I had multiple tests done (chest heart X-ray, mri, ct scans and blood work). After being told multiple times the neurologist would come to discuss my results we were finally told they wouldn’t come to see us and it would be a doctor on staff. We left. Most of the nurses were nice and professional but we kept getting the run around about receiving results from a doctor. One nurse took out our iv and we walked out. With no discharge papers. Very discouraging.
Patrick: One of the worst Hospitals in the area. Staff is under-qualified the surgeons are absolute ego monsters who disrespect their staff. Management is clueless on how to run their own departments and resort to lying to patients and staff rather than being accountable for their actions. Avoid this place like the plague patients and potential emoloyees. Go somewhere else it is just not worth it to work for or be a patient of Wake Med. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible.
Susan Aceti: Mummsy is home❣️. She had a total left hip replacement Monday. Mum worked so hard to stand, walk, and do the stairs. She was brought home via Ambulance right into her house. PT will be coming to her house and mine to do her PT at home. She is my Hero😍 We love Dr Rion from Ortho NC and he operates at Wake Med North. Mum got her right hip done in 2021 there and it was a 5 Star experience. This year it was a bit different as we were told there was no suite for Mum post-op. The nurses told her pre-op, so she went into surgery with that concern. She was in tears. We stayed in the PACU that night, Mum was not monitored even though she was coded for telemetry. She should have been in a suite with a heart monitor. I filed a concern and CA was with me in 10 minutes. We found a solution for the night and we were in a suite the next day. Mum was in the best care with telemetry. OT and PT were outstanding. Our Nurses amazing. Mum and I love Wake Med North. My complaint? The director called Mum and I personally to clarify and address our concerns. Go to Wake Med North, they have a huge heart for patient care.

Holly Hill Hospital - South Campus - Children and Adult Inpatient: what do users think?
mind over matter becoming your true self: DO NOT GO HERE!!! The staff are cruel & incompetent & EVERY doctor here NEEDS to go to prison & be barred from practicing medicine. Dr Wang is by far the most incompetent of all the doctors. He refuses to communicate with the patients or relatives & changes meds without consent or input. The staff are HORRIFICALLY abusive & will use threats & will violate the patients rights in an attempt to control the patients.
Stephanie Minor: Since my last review was deleted…My son is being discharged today after being admitted 1 week ago and expressing homicidal thoughts just 5 days ago! I had ONE 5 minute phone call with the doctor 4 days ago, I called and called with no answer at different times of the day to get updates and to speak with the doctor. Finally got a call to tell me they are discharging him, no discharge meeting, no safety plan, no more conversations with the doctor to express my concerns, because obviously I don’t know my son the best. Spoke with a nurse who only called to see when I would be there to pick him up, she stated he didn’t have any homicidal thoughts in his chart. I explained that he told me and the doctor and that the doctor confirmed these statements during the one phone call I had with him. I requested to speak with the doctor and no call back he made his rounds this morning and signed my sons discharge paperwork with not even a thought about my concerns. The fact that they don’t care about teenage mental health is mind blowing considering that’s supposed to be their specialty. DO NOT ALLOW YOUR FAMILY OR YOURSELF TO GO TO THIS HOSPITAL! Wait for another bed to open at another hospital! My son has been in 4 different hospitals and this is by far the absolute worst!
Jennifer: SECOND BAD REVIEW! These people sent me to two places for follow up that did not exist and me and my mother have been working with the patient advocate to get a hold of antidepressants. Dr Wang is doing everything in his power to make sure I Stay depressed. Hospital promised they would prescribe me some antidepressants and instead the doctor sent a prescription to the pharmacy for anti-seizure medications. I DO NOT need those. I'm trying to figure out what the freaking problem is and why these people are doing everything in their power to keep me from getting the help that I so desperately need. Do not go here. Also, r h a does not exist anymore. Go to Monarch. They have a walk-in clinic and will get you set up with help the day you walk in. Fight for Your Life. Just because these people don't value your life doesn't mean you shouldn't value your own. Mental health reform is something that needs to happen NOW!
Emelia K: I was only here one night, and I am completely traumatized. I didn’t sleep at all and my blood was drawn three times. I came here to be treated, not to be locked in a dayroom with one nurse and thirteen children with no real therapy. Please, if you have the option, DO NOT come here. For your or your children’s mental health, don’t come here.**I’m editing this to say: ALL OF THE GOOD REVIEWS ARE FROM PEOPLE’S RELATIVES!
lunalagaming67: This place is trash common holly Hill LAlso health inspectors went in and found mold in the food soooo
Aileen Vargas: Terrible staff that makes jokes of people's illness. I would give it 0 stars but I can't
Alex Pellom: STOP! DO NOT IGNORE THE REVIEWS!I was there for 3 nights voluntarily and they abused me. Mold and urine stains were on the ground. I had the flu and they didn’t let me sleep in my bed so I had to sleep on the floor. It’s pure neglect. What they do in there is illegal. DO WHATEVER YOU CAN TO GET YOUR KID OUT. The staff are awful besides Ms. Sam who is an absolute GOD
Maleynah Burgess: First time at a mental hospital and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. The food is decent, the staff for my unit were great, and I felt safe. My only concern was how brief individual sessions with the doctor and therapist was. Otherwise okay.
liselle clowers: the talks with the therapist were literally 2 mins long he doesn't care about really helping these kids the techs here are very unprofessional and this place needs to be shut down DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE
Jessica Carroll: Had my daughter there for six days. They billed nearly 5k and to top all of it off, less than 24 hours after discharge, she attempted suicide and has been back at the hospital (UNC) for over a week now. Then they have the nerve to call me to try to get me to pay the bill. They even went so far as to tell my daughter while she was there that they aren't there to help her just to diagnose her. However the only medication they recommend her be on was melatonin for sleeping. Such a waste of money. Sure people are nice but they generally are when blowing smoke up your a**.
Lukas: This place is horrendous in its treatment and in its practice.Yes of course there is some staff there that is good and treats patients with dignity and respect but overall the time spent there was full of anxiety and fear. I was transferred there under an IVC order for calling a helpline. I was given zero to no legitimate therapy while there and wasn’t seen by a doctor or therapist for over 36 hours after I was admitted. The only reason I was able to stay calm was the therapy techniques I had received on the outside. When I finally did see a doctor he told me that there was no reason for me to be here but he also could not release me. This place is an insurance scam at its finest and will pull every penny they can legally get out of you before releasing you with zero treatment. This is also consistent experience with my peers that came there voluntarily. While you do not have the ability to choose to be there under an IVC if you are thinking about seeking help look for it elsewhere. This place does not help it harms, and that is consistent with every single one of my peers stories from being in there.
Winter Love: I got assulted (not a fight) by a kid faking D.I.D and he got out a week before me, staff where horrible except for a select few and the therapist mrs april tried sending me to a long term facility because of self harm before i was admited, horrible place, dont go.
Jennifer D: My young child is autistic and was dealing with a lot of issues that made living at home unsafe. This hospital turned her around in four days. I was in constant contact with her doctor to assist in her care. She was treated fairly, learned great coping skills and continues to follow them. Visitation and discharge were as expected. A typical stay is about a week, so plan accordingly with clothing and toiletries.
Aiden B: Turned my life around and saved me.
Alex Young: i got discharged today. the techs and nurses were okay, but i saw things that made me have more trauma than i did at the start. a peer of mine was beaten up and taken to the hospital; the staff were hesitant to react. another peer of mine has been thrown against a solid metal door nearly every day. sure, they acted out, but no one deserves that treatment. i’ve also heard people have a problem with one of the doctors, which i can’t elaborate on because i haven’t had an issue with him. however, i was very homesick as i live 2 1/2 hours from raleigh. i was only allowed 10 minutes per day to call my mom, which is probably normal but it was scary for me. i don’t recommend this place at all. communication is a weakness for all staff members- i knew nothing about my medicine or diagnosis or discharge date the entire time i was there. any patient that’s still there, i salute. because i couldn’t do it. so if you have ANY other options for a mental health facility, please do not choose holly hill. your child will NOT get any help, it’ll make them worse. thank you.
Sh00kk00kie: i got discharged today and im going to say this the weekend night shift staff was completely rude like all they did Friday and Saturday night was talk and then on Sunday moving chairs and stuff. on Saturday at dinner I got food poisoning because the beef teriyaki was one the meat wasn’t cooked and two the teriyaki was salty. there was mold all over but there are 4 people there that are nice
De Anna Wasiewski: this is by far the worst place you could ever take your child for care. they were uncommunicative, discharged my daughter without proper follow up care, refuse to return calls about follow up care. my daughter was injured in their care and they never called us. she was able to cut herself using items the nursing staff gave her. I WILL be going to the news. we have already filled a formal complaint with the medical board. 0/10. please NEVER take your children to holly hills
Jennifer Zier: HORRIBLE! 10 TIMES HORRIBLE! The staff are very RUDE. The Food? DOGS are eating better. The authorities should close this hospital
Pamela George: DO NOT send your kids here.. Left with more trauma than when I came. My medication was withheld and I went through literal withdrawal because of it- my doctor couldn't care less. Staff are rude, unkind, and will belittle and downright abuse the patients. Facilities are run down and unsanitary. When we had panic attacks, we were forced to go in to a "quiet room" that was just a dim, smelly, carpeted room with one beat up cushion. Awful awful awful.
nikkibat: this place actually traumatized me, we didn’t go outside the 5 days i was there. the staff was so rude and dr. Childers was so rude and dismissive when i would tell him how i felt. i cried when i left and it was out of happiness, i have attachment issues with my mom now because im scared she’s going to leave me again at a place like that.
Alexander Black: If I could give negative stars I would. By far one of the worst experiences of my life.Almost no therapy and rehabilitation took place the entire time I stayed. If everyone cooperated and payed attention maybe 30 mins total of therapy a day. Was not fed well the entire time I was there and lost 8lbs in 4 days. Mother called them multiple times requesting I get more food and did not receive more. Doctor recommended I be put on protein shakes for added calories while there but was never given them. Was told I would be provided clothing but received none and was forced to wear the same clothes for three days until my family shipped me more. Almost all of the therapists there hated their jobs and complained frequently about how much they hated being there. We were kept in a day room for hours a day with nothing but a TV and books if we were lucky. Went outside for maybe 15 mins a day and to the gym 30 mins a day. This place is completely unorganized, traumatizing, and outright abusive. If your child is truly struggling with a mental health problem do not send them here. This place is a glorified daycare at best.

Holly Hill Hospital: what do users think?
Justin: Been to this place 3-4 times because I needed help and no where to go. Unfortunately I had to sorta stretch the truth to get admitted. My problem was addiction. Had to tell them I wanted to kill myself but whatever they did take me in every time and helped me. The first time wasn’t the best because of the place I went after for “rehab” but the last two times I went back to back stayed almost a month. And I needed it. Wish they never let me go the first time to be honest to where I had to go back in again because I went yet again to a different recommended rehab and it too was horrible. It wasn’t until the third time and 3rd recommended rehab that changed my life and have been sober 5 years now. and was the best place I could have went too. A place called harvest house if anyone is looking a rehab program. Now it is a process getting admitted to any place like this( hospitals , rehabs, detox’s) so it’s not just them that makes it a painful long process. It’s just how it is. But I’ve had been in and out of so many places like this it was normal to me. The staff were all great! I forget names or I’d say who. I have been in both buildings also and obviously the newer one is better but they both worked for me.
Marc Gracieux: This place needs to be covered in the local media for its low quality service and treatment of patients.
Do Haneul: Patient in 2020, and I am still receiving treatment of my own for my stay at this horrid facility
Grayson a: i don't think i need to explain much, my nickname that the staff came up with was ms. 300 pounds.
Dion Mason: I didn’t even get to get help because no one contacted me back. When I contacted them the receptionist was so rude, told me she didn’t know what I was talking about.
Nicole Lunsford: Not a professional or ethic place if you're gonna call a patient stupid when they're getting psychological help? How can you be a hospital??? Called multiple times and can't talk to a head nurse or administrator.!!!!
Chicken Mustard: Bad treatment to patients.
John Pendleton: I'm picking up my nephew from Holly hill. I'm so disappointed in this placeHe was here for 4 days I'm from brevard nc and I live 4 hrs awayI got no information from the doctor on anything I finally did talk to him he told me he past 2 evaluations and that was enough then I quoteThe people who pay for this don't want him here longer then this. Don't I pay for it very upset about this whole situation it sounds like they only care about money
Cindy barrera: First of all hard to get someone to answer the phone. My son told me that Dr Wang bursted into his room one morning, frantically asking if he was okay. That startled my son. The staff was immature in behavior. My son was released and was not given a work release, we have called 15 times. Had operators try to help, social worker who's vm is horrible, can't understand the name in sound or written. Also today, day 3 of attempt to get a work release note, we got Vlad a highly rude nurse who spoke down to me, assuming we couldn't communicate because our last name is Barrera. "What part do you not understand ".Do you understand locked, with key, cerrado"And other insults.I hate leaving negative reviews but seeing how their voice system claims to care about patients, how they operate with ethics, respect and care. It's completely insulting to the patients and their needs.I expect the needed documentation of my son's work release soon, as it has cost him 2 days of pay.Next I will be reaching out to the director.
Eric Smith: It was great i want to go back
Rosemary Parker: I deleted my review from yesterday Laura gave me a call and what I was asking was clarified and a call I answered yesterday from the source that got my daughter there they should of been the one to tell me what was going on so be it Thank you Laura Today is Friday Ofcouse calling back once again for an update ? Why do I feel like I'm being ignored again ? Why is there never a correct answer about my daughters return ? I'm like the type of person to be told the TRUTH not to be put off and given False information Just think they think I'll just be put on hold Can none tell the Truth and Stop Ms.Laura Telling Me False Information Its not good for my daughters mental health Its not a joke Do you people enjoy laughing it seeing her like that ? Shes a human being And has did nothing to anyone to be given the run around And the employee that answered the phone Must like phone tag So call me Laura and stop being unprofessional My patience is not for child play
aubrey mooney: This place was straight HELL. I would sit there bawling my eyes out for HOURS and the staff would laugh at me then proceed to give me shots because “it was triggering to other patients” which wasn’t the case at all. The true case is the fact they didn’t want to deal with behaviors when it’s a behavioral hospital. Make it make sense. Everyone who works here does not deserve a job. Th ONLY good person here was the nurse Ms.Lindsay. That’s it. The staff would purposelessly start arguments with literal CHILDREN.
Stephanie Martins: My 11-year-old daughter was just released from here on 4/29/2023 and I am so disappointed. I never had any sort of discharge meeting in person or over the phone, no talk about her safety plan, no talk about medication nothing. Even when picking her up no one came to talk to me I was handed an envelope and that was it. Whenever I tried to call the hospital where my daughter was there was no answer the phone rang and rang. When if ever I did get a nurse on the phone, she sounded like they didn't even want to talk to me. It was short answers to my questions in regard to my daughter and she was quick to hang up. I left messages for the case manager there Beth several times with receiving a call back after my daughter was already released from there. Then as I am talking, she is talking over me which is very rude. I was trying to ask why there was no meeting in regard to her discharge she tried to tell me she did which is completely false. The charge nurse you can barely understand, Dr. Cornwall wanted to release my daughter still having suicidal thoughts and I know you can have them but the reason she was in there was for an attempted suicide so what part of releasing her with suicidal thoughts is right? This place has a severe lack of communication.
Selina Tanner: If I could give this place negative I absolutely would. For the safety of yourself or your child. DO NOT go here if you have a choice. Sadly we weren't given the choice. This place doesn't do what they should to help and there was so many inconsistencies and events that took place with my daughter here. They dont keep you posted on things that a parent should know. They screen calls no therapy takes place. Even my daughter called this place a joke. They call this place holly HELL. And it rings true. They have things documented bout daughters condition but tell me she is fine etc. Am going to the state as recommended from my case manager. Please go elsewhere. They tell your children everything you say including things that could potentially effect their mental state.
Brittany Winchester: The admission process was HORRIBLE!! I waited over 8 hours to be admitted. I was in a lobby with 17 other people I got there by handcuffs in the back of a prison van after being driven 3 hours away from home, I was voluntary. I was terrified and had many panic attacks because I was treated like a prisoner. I didn’t get to speak with a nurse or anyone for 8hours. The admission process needs to change! Once on the floor the staff was great and it really helped. I stayed for 5 days. Unfortunately, though they did loose my work shoes.
Blue Love: DONT GO HERE PLEASE READ I want to warn everyone about holly hill this place was terrible and lowkey gave me ptsd I saw a nurse lunge at a patient as if they where about to fight and other nurses had to pull the nurse away before anything happened I saw a girls head get bashed into a wall (she got a concussion) I heard a nurse tell a patient that she was crying for attention and while I was having a panic attack I was yelled at and I was asking to talk to someone and I was sent to my room (not able to talk to a therapist or anyone) to recap if you need a place to go DONT GO HERE
Juliana Barnes (Adidas): Okay, so it's good other than the fact all the drinks were literally watered down 💀Nice people tho:) Could get fixed up a bit but I recommend. Some of the nurses sucked. One time this person was hurting themselves and the nurse was so aggressive. We love Mr. Caupron though
Leslie Jacobs: Someone please answer the phone!!!! I would like to please speak to my child.
Waylan Smith: Literally a daycare

WakeMed Cary Hospital: what do users think?
Barbara Bennett Tranello: My experience with Wake Med was fantastic. I was near death and the staff was there for everything. They are all angels to do what they do, including and not least, ICU. They all saved my life. A huge thank you to you all!
Ian Storrs: The care I received at this hospital was outstanding and the facilities were excellent. I spent time in the ER, ICU and general hospital and everyone was knowledgeable, professional, kind and caring.
FC Bryant: Absolutely excellent staff in the ER. Treated with compassion and care and attention.
Margaret Yousif: We are from Chicago on a vacation and my husband had a heart attack. Each and every single person we dealt with was off the charts amazing!! No words!!!The paramedics and the firefighters are top shelf!!!The Heart center inn is an amazing service that should be replicated eveywhere!!Thank you all at WakeMed!!!You really do it rigjt!!
M S: Wake Med Hospital Ambulatory Surgery Center in Cary really surprised me with their excellent customer service. The ladies at the Surgical Services Reception, the Pre Op nurse and team in general were great. Really good bed side manners. Also the place is very clean and welcoming. It could use some coffee/tea and filtered water station for people in the lobby area. They do have vending machines and cafeteria in the building. Very organized and smooth process. Lobby area is large and comfortable. It has tables and plugs in case you have to bring work with you while you wait. It has free parking deck and uncovered parking.
Vivi D: We just moved here from Florida 3 weeks ago and visited the ER after my husband had stroke like symptoms (thankfully was nothing serious), but what an amazing experience we had. I don't know if it's because we just moved from Miami where everything is a disorganized circus, but the visit here was so refreshing. Everyone was so compassionate, friendly, helpful, informed, and caring. I can't say enough about all the staff we dealt with from the doctor to the custodian. Thank you. You are very appreciated!!
Cesar Teyuco: We have bad birth experience in other hospitals but this hospitals is the worst 😫
Kathryn C: When reports of child abuse arises they do not call CPS. Instead they send the child back to the abusive family member for more abuse. Shame on this whole hospital, every doctor, every nurse who fails to be a voice for child victims.
Sonya Kearse: My loved one is due to be discharged from the ER. The ER moved us out of our room at 11am transport was due to be here at 130pm. Put us out in the hallway. I hear other patients diagnosis and doctors and nurses talking about patients personal information. Maybe there are different rules for ER versus the doctors office when it comes to hippa rules. It is now 413pm and we are still waiting for transportation which it was a mix up with the company that handles that. The ER needs to be expanded so patients aren't diagnosed in the hallway. My loved one needs privacy and all the patients do. The hot water wasn't hot in the room I was in, it barley got warm and that might be a health department violation. Unless it only has to be hot in the room they test for the inspection. Doctors and nurses are wonderful and need to be paid a lot more.
Lori Collins: I came on a Saturday night with a broken wrist and was brought back very quickly. Everyone was wonderful Chris RN, Kelly? RT and Andrew the PA from wake ortho. Everyone worked together quickly to make me comfortable and let me get out and still make my flight to vacation
Cindy Smalletz: I came down to visit my parents, and ended up needing to take my mom to the ED and we came to this one because it was closer to home, even though she's usually part of a different hospital system. From the moment we walked in the door we got in (no wait at all) right away, and spent the night. The staff took care of us, even fed my dad and I, checked in on us often, demonstrated solid medical tests and decision making based on the results, and admitted her overnight. Her experience in the patient room was also stellar. The nurses and doctors called me when I wasn't there to update me each step of the way also, and transferred her out to another hospital for a procedure smoothly and efficiently, also with many updates. It was a complicated unclear case, and we are all grateful for coming here first and feeling so cared for by the many staff members we interacted with, from the CNA's to the RN's to the PA's to the MD's. So grateful, and probably the most pleasant hospital ED experience of my entire life.
Tim P: One of the worst hospitals I have been to. You can’t get a hold of the billing department and when you do they aren’t able to answer billing related questions they should. Billed me twice for the same visit and then deleted past transactions to negate the fact that it’s already been paid to get more money out of you. Would not recommend.
Billy Delacruz: Got my back hurt and came here, got a bill as expected, I sent the payment from my HSA account and a few weeks later I received a notice saying they are sending me to collections, I called and they say there are no records, if I check my balance I can see they took my money. Called HSA and they said payment went through normal. Now I lost my money since to avoid collections I sent ANOTHER payment. I have a 100% on time payment record and can't have this place ruin it.Is frustrating that they refuse to search my payment I can't believe at the end of the month they have this extra money and don't bother to know where is it coming from, who keeps it?
kyle white: I had a good experience. The nurses were amazing. The CNA'S were great. The doctors need some lessons on how to treat patients. The bed was actually comfortable. My room was clean. I just didn't agree with what the diagnosis they were treating me with.
cristen: IM COMPLEATLY IMPRESSED WITH THE CARE THATS GOING ON IN THIS PLACESTARTING WITH THE ER NURSE JERMY H OR M IS A RAINBOW 🌈 AND HE SENDS A BLANKET OF love LAUGHTER CARING AND ENCOUREMENT not only to the patients but the staff as well HE needs recognition ! TheDIETARY TEAM IS ON POINT they act like care takers and the food is always piping hot with plenty of optionsThe nurses and aid s on the 3rd floor are exactly what a caregiver should look like.... the caring aspect is on another Level
Ms Jane Crissman Poole: Be aware at this hospital, family is not allowed to see the patient after surgery until they are ready to go home. Drive up and leave. This is not good considering the shortage of staff. So while you loved one is trying to wake up, you are not allowed to care for them. I will not use this hospital unless no other choice staff is friendly and the doctors are nice. Just do not care for this rule
Jac K: This for sure is the worst hospital! To be avoided like the plague. Everyone is confused, constant madness, mixed patient symptoms up due to having other patients records up, wait time extremely long even when told no wait due to transfer from other hospital. Just a mess of a hospital! Honestly can’t believe Cary tolerates this hospital operating like this!
Dessie Clark: Everyone was really nice and professional. Very informative with info. Two things I do have complaint about. First is nurse starting I’ve deleted like needle going to arm pit. Was digging and really painful. Could tell from angle she was starting from she was going to miss. Crystal came in and started right away with minimal discomfort.Anesthesia not happy with. Throat still sore from tube. Never had sore throat in past. Used propofol and have had multiple times with surgeries and colonoscopies. NEVER had injection of it hurt so badly. Someone didn’t know how to do. Would highly suggest some education and at least 40 mg lidocaine before injecting. It has never bothered me at all I the past. Thank you. Dessie Clark
Rob Scherer: Great care, great staff. Short ER wait time.
Latasha M: This the most worst hospital I ever encountered in my hold life . I brought my daughter here and they basically didn’t care for her properly. It’s like she was getting more sicker by being in there care . We was there for 8 to 9 hours waiting on bloodwork to come in and they just kept coming taking blood from my daughter smh 🤦🏽‍♀️, The nurse we had was very disconnected and show know caring what’s so ever. I regret letting my daughter go here never again!!!!!
Aymane Zeydan: I can’t understand what makes this hospital this slow, I brought my brother for a foot injury that took us more than 6h that’s so terrible people are sick of waiting that long i never saw this slow service before please fix your process time

North Carolina Heart & Vascular Hospital: what do users think?
juan rodriguez: A huge thank you to Sam Cole NP and Ben Walker MD and the whole Heart and Vascular team (aides, RN, environmental, dietary, and everyone else) for saving my grandmothers life! I have been a paramedic and nurse for 35 years, it’s a lot of work to be a team that good!
Austin Burbank: Dr Shah, Mobarek, and Cooper are all amazing. The nurses Paolo, Simone, Andrea, and Daniel or Danny really stood out and took great care of me during my 11 night admission at 20 years old. It was a wild ride, I left with a pacemaker and much better than when I went into the hospital.
nathalie wallace: Traumatic experience of being held for hours while engorged and just 7 days after c-section. Care plan is on point however their execution is slower than a snail. I was in OB ER for about 3hrs which is reasonable. Got discharged around 3:30pm then got referred to Heart & Vascular Dept because I was having some sort of gastric pain. I was in a wheelchair sorta naive and out of it since I just had a baby. I only follow the procedure thinking I'll get through this and I want to know what is going on. It takes hours waiting on what to do next. I pump when I can which they don't even have a room for. I have to hide in a space with a curtain so i can have my privacy. I have to have the pump with me at all times. I haven't ate lunch nor dinner. After all the orders I was brought back to the ER lobby. I still have to wait so the Doctor can discuss to me any findings. I think I still sat there for another hour or so until I finally spoke to one of the staff that I am ready to go home. He said but the Doctor need to speak to you about the result. I said I have been struggling all day having all the breast pump stuff wherever i go, being engorged and i have a baby waiting for me at home. I said I'll sign an AMA just to get me discharged because I just couldn't take it anymore. I got home at 10pm hungry, sleepy and super exhausted with my c-section scar sorta bleeding. Never going back here again.
Vernice C: Still so very grateful for Dr. Mobarek and Nurse Mark MacDonald. Two of the most caring and efficient medical professionals I’ve ever seen in my life. I have hope now because of them.
Laura Urben: Well, just as I expected, my negative review has ‘mysteriously’ disappeared. Any negative reviews are taken down. Very upsetting.... So I’m editing this review a year later because after my mom went through all this and they found ‘nothing’ it turns out she is actually suffering from congestive heart failure. You think they would have diagnosed this, but it took an ambulance trip to Rex Hospital and more testing to finally get this diagnosis.
Gerald Powell: Great service!
Lucinda Deans: Dr. Shah and all his team were great. The nurses were wonderful too. My surprise heart blockage and pacemaker were made an easier experience by the great care I was given.
Ismael Mendoza Gonzalez: El personal es amable y muy eficiente
Leigh Anne Franklin: Great physicians especially Dr. Gregory ROSE and Dr. Lance Landvater. Also great DrGeorge Adams and his PA Mandy Wilson. They take excellent care of all patients.
