The Fletcher Academy - Upper School Campus: what do users think?
Jeff Mandler: This is my 2nd year and am going into 10th grade I love the school and they helped me a lot and way better than public school but I wish Fletcher was free because we can't do as much fun stuff and Dr A and Ms. Peele are awesome
Izayzayw: Literally the best school ever! Like I mean you gotta focus and stuff but Mrs. Peele and Dr. A are the best administrators ever! I sadly moved which is why I can’t continue there but I do recommend to anyone who needs a school to help with students with learning differences. It is money well spent and I promise you will not be disappointed
Abby Perry: I’m sorry for those of you that got hurt by the staff and other students. But I never really experienced any of that. I think TFA is a good school for me to attend.
Katelynn (Kate): Fletcher is nice! They help me a lot! They are caring, and loving, don't talk nonsense towards them. They did nothing wrong! When I started there I was happy! And I am still happy to be apart of the TFA community. And guys, if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it. It could be hurtful towards the school, and to the other students, it's rude, don't say anything negative about the school or the kids. It's just going to get you in trouble! When I was getting bullied there, they did something to help me. Don't take your anger out on them. They try their best and you know it! I am excited to come back to you TFA! Lot's of love!
Delaney Sanderson: Don’t take your child here. Your child deserves better. A lot of parents are unaware of what actually happens within the school. This school has to be the worst I’ve ever been in. They claim to help kids with learning disabilities and mental illness however that could not be farther from the truth. Many kids have reported being mistreated by a few teachers which I’ve witnessed. When I asked for support from the staff because another student was putting me in an unsafe and abusive situation and I was struggling with depression because of this, they told me to go to class and focus on work to get my mind off of the abuse rather than giving me the helpful resources they claim to provide to ensure the students’ safety. A lot of bullying and mistreatment from a few teachers was reported but nothing was done even when parents came forward and almost sued the school for the inappropriate behaviors of a few teachers. When I needed help from the staff and reported issues concerning my safety they didn’t do anything but they said they couldn’t help me until other parents were thinking about taking their kids out of the school and suing the school due to some homophobic incidents, bullying and harassment. There were no repercussions to the students who partook in these things or support or resources for the victims. I’m currently going to a much better school. Don’t take your child here. Just don’t. Don’t give this school your hard earned money. Your child deserves better.
Greg Oppenheimer: Fletcher is an excellent school for children who learn differently. Caring teachers. In 4th grade after 3 years at Pleasant Union Elementary School, my son’s handwriting improved dramatically in a few weeks. Great decision to send my son to Fletcher.
M T Scott: Truly an amazing place of learning, care, and growth. Our daughter attended for high school and her development and education at this critical time was made exceptionally better by the teachers, administration, and staff at Fletcher. And Graduation day was the most organized, well thought-out, and wonderful experience we have ever attended. Thank you to everyone at Fletcher!
Linda Donoghue: I have been wanting to review fairly, so I waited for two years after my son graduated from this school. The teacher:child ratio is fantastic and they really care about the students, the teachers are highly qualified. The administration I questioned at times. Teachers let go at the drop of a hat? The students going on to college, that is a concern. Many have problems and are not prepared. A 4 year college is nearly impossible, a community college is hard. Things to consider. 3 stars is high.
Venkatramanan Ardhanareeswaran: I went their last year and the teachers helped me out a lot
Jolly Rancher: I absolutely hated it here. I went for fourth grade and it was the worst year of my life. The kids are rude, cause drama, and made fun of me and bullied me. The teachers and administration were terrible. I can't even begin to explain how awful it was here, but never go here. Ever.
Andy Barnhart: We had one of our kids there a year and a half and it really turned him around and caught him back up with his peers. They do amazing things in the small ratio classes to cater to individual learning styles. They also keep parents very well informed. We decided to try another school with a little larger classes to see if he was ready. He wasn't. After a year somewhere else, we are going back to Fletcher again. They did not seem to take any offense at us trying to get him back into larger class settings and made it easy for us to re-enroll him when it didn't work out.
Teri Smith: We are so happy our son goes here. The teachers understand him and use all sorts of strategies to keep him learning and engaged. He gets individual attention and is thriving.

Learn with the Best: what do users think?
L C: This school is the real life version of the movie "Get Out"! Once you see pass the facade, then you will see what is really going on. This is a money driven school that caters to a certain demographic. I was out of work temporarily and informed Jill that I couldn't afford to keep my child at the school and she informed me that since I didn't give her a 30 day notice I would still be responsible for him to go for the month of June (which is longer than wcpss traditional calendar), even though she is billing his insurance and using his grants. To be fair, his teacher worked miracles with my child with building his functional communication which motivated me to Keep him there but unfortunately she won't be there anymore either. Would love to find a place that is supportive to the as well as the child.
Flying Turtles: We had our ten year old in the summer session and this fall he started full time. On day 1 it was all smiles from him before and after school. This is a school that actually makes positive accommodations to allow special needs kids to be able to function in a classroom environment. Our son loves the staff and the school and his performance, ability to function, and overall behaviors are MUCH improved being here.
Mary: My son went to Learn with the Best for 3 years and we could not have been happier with our experience. He completed 2 years of K and one year of 1st grade there and due to small class sizes, teacher dedication and competence he not only learned, but flourished there. Our son has Down Syndrome and severe apraxia. His teachers knew how to teach him so he would remember what he was taught and did not allow his apraxia to get in the way of his learning. We did move our son to an inclusive school this year. The only reason we moved him was so that he could be with more typical peers his age. LWTB was supportive in our decision and helped us with that process. We continue to tell others about this wonderful school; and if our decision to move our son turns out to be a poor one, we will be back begging at the doorstep of Jill Lerner and her staff.I am a licensed NC teacher and I can promise you that there is no other classroom like these classrooms in NC. My suggestion is to just go and see for yourself! You will be amazed also if you read previous comments you'll see one states there isn't an outdoor play area. LWTB now has a wonderful outdoor play area for the kids to run and move around! : )
Todd Lineberger: Awesome people who really care about your child.
Brandi Meuse: This place has such a positive energy! Every student has a learning plan tailored to them and supports to make sure the environment is efficient for learning. Every aspect of a classroom is considered to promote academic and social learning. I could not be happier being a part of such a phenomenal school!
MailPix Service: My child was lost until I found Jill Lerner and her amazing school, Learn With the Best!!!
Yan Hu: If I could give this school 0 star, I would have given it 0 or even negative. This school is driven all by money, and they charge $2k/month without any speech service. The worst part is the classroom teacher doesn't listen to others inputs including parents and professionals from outside/inside. And also don't believe in teachers' questionnaires, even you spend time type in the inputs trying to make your kids' education better, but nobody cares in this school and you will never hear anything back from the owner or see any changes. Stay away from this school.
K. Carpenter: There is no outdoor play area, soda being served as an incentive for good behavior, and a sky-high tuition. Disappointing.
Van Kratz: I don't know how to say this but I just want to shouted it out so so very loud, that I am so thankful that finding a place like" learn with the best" Ms. Jill is so incredible. When my special need child came to Jill, less than 6 months ago. Michael was not able to draw a straight line. Now he can writes his own name and able to counted and knows most of his alphabets. He showed such amazing abilities that Ms. Jill is able to bring the best out of him. Michael was very unfortunate to have a very not kind teacher at adam elementary school. The teacher there was using him for her gains. She was finishing her master in special education and Michael was a target for her graphic deviation numbers. We noted she keeps telling us how Michael is so aggressive, agitated and out of control. It seems like Michael behaviors mostly being provoked on purpose so she can have her data for her thesis Michael was so unhappy there. Each morning when we approached near school and he always with a sad face and cried most of the morning and whisper (Mommy I don't want to go to School and No Ms........) I was able to get him out of there when one of the assistance teacher called me and warn me about that my child is not being safe there. I took Michael out without knowing where am i going to do with his academic setting. I searched and searched and found Learn with the Best by chance on Wake County School web site. Michael is now in the best place for personal, social and academic grow. Never thoughts Michael can achieve so much in such a short period of time. Michael is now happy and looking forward to go to school everyday. He has rough morning now and then. But in his heart he knows who is really loves and cares for him. Ms. Jill is making such a big different in Michael life and our life. She is kind, loving but firm. Michael loves her and he will tell us why he loves her. He is my special needs child. What he said it is thru his tender heart. The future seems so much brighter since he is at LEARN WITH THE BEST!!!!!!! If you have a child with autism spectrum disorders. Give Learn With the Best a try. You and your child won't be disappointed.

Governor Morehead School: what do users think?
Sheila Holly: Great directions to get to this school, they serve Blind and deaf-blind but when it come to upgrade like Perking and others school of the Blind. This school school is behind
Berry Bee: I do not attend Governor Morehead School, but I do attend Wake Young Women's Leadership Academy, and we interact with the students here and staff that were generous enough to share their campus with us. This campus is beautiful and is such a inspiration to be apart of helping their campus. Please North Carolina and people everywhere, do what you can for people everywhere that are Blind or Visually Impaired. As the common GMS slogan goes, "By Faith, Not by Sight"

Trilogy: what do users think?
Heather Reagan-Holihan: The teachers are very supportive & try hard to help every student. The playground needs to be revamped. It’s a converted single floor office complex so it can be very cramped. They do their best to use their space efficiently. The students are diverse & wonderful. The other families were very welcoming & empathetic about common struggles. The school could use a few more employees as support staff. Although the classes are small, it is still not easy for the teachers to teach and manage unexpected conflicts when they arise. If you are looking for a safe, supportive environment & your child is a self motivated, active participant in class, this is a very good option.
Sean Dunn: Great school best education that money can buy. Your child's confidence level will be raised to new heights. Best school I have ever attended. Hit me up to learn more
Rob Lynn: It’s a great school with the personal focus on the needs of the individual student.

Fusion Academy Raleigh: what do users think?
Rachel DuBois: Fusion Academy has been a game changer for our teen. Fusion arrived in Raleigh at exactly the right time for our family. We've been consistently thrilled with the quality of the experience since we first joined back in early 2020.It's not just the educational support that's outstanding. The social and emotional support is incredible. Our daughter sincerely feels that each of her teacher/mentors is a true friend. Somebody that has taken the time to get to know her and cares. To top it off, the level of scheduling flexibility their program provides our family has been a real stress-reducer for all.Our daughter looks forward to going to Fusion every single day. Often times she asks to head in a few hours early or stay a few hours later just so she can spend time on campus.
jason t white: Gratitude is just the start of what I have for Lauren, the teachers and the entire team at Fusion Academy. My child was in a pretty bad place last year and they welcomed us with open arms which really helped turn things around. Not only are the teachers incredibly skilled in their subjects, they possess an emotional intelligence and a level of empathy far beyond anything l’ve experienced elsewhere. Thank you all for everything you’ve done and continue to do!
Todd Korogi: The Fusion Academy changed the entire trajectory of my son's future. The care every teacher shows to ensure he really understands the material is fantastic and the daily reports of progress and challenges really allow me to feel connected to his education. I don't have enough space to write all of the positive feedback I have for the school!
Quay Garriga: Amidst the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, we withdrew our daughter in the middle of her Junior year from her private school and started her at our new homeschool and Wake Tech as a dual enrolled student. Creating curriculum and a schedule that continued our daughter's education was a challenge, especially for Physics. In searching for a proper high school Physics curriculum, we found Fusion online as an option and we are so glad we did! We contacted the school and they responded immediately via email and then followed up with a phone call. We were able to schedule a safe visit and were so impressed with their adherence to the CDC's mitigation strategies including social distancing, mask wearing, and washing hands. Seeing how they handled the safety of the students gave us confidence in their respect for science. We saw Fusion as a sort of a la cart option for our daughter to be able to take just Physics there and the rest of her classes at Wake Tech. We were given 2 options for that single class for our daughter and everything was explained clearly. She has been taking her class virtually and the teaching has been so very personalized and on target. Our daughter is learning and excelling. We get daily updates and summaries of how she is learning and what she is covering. We have appreciated the communication and the responsiveness of her teacher when we had questions about measures of mastery of material. Fusion has been an amazing option for us. The cost is a bargain for the teaching and the accessibility of the staff and administration. We highly recommend it!
L R DuBois: Fusion has been a perfect fit at the perfect time for our family. Their one on one model takes education to a completely different level. The teachers/mentors have formed a very personal connection with our daughter and can tailor every single class/lesson. If there's a particular area of study that our daughter is especially intrigued by or a concept she's struggling with, the pace is completely adaptable to allow time to dive deep or spend more time fleshing out more challenging concepts. They are truly invested in our child's education, understanding, and overall well-being.We feel so lucky to have found Fusion just a few months before COVID struck the nation. Nationwide, so many families have been concerned that their children's education has been negatively impacted by COVID. Thanks to Fusion, we are completely confident that our daughter's education is in the best of hands. She is achieving entirely new levels of knowledge and understanding, whether she is on campus or receiving instruction virtually. Most important of all, she LOVES learning with Fusion! This from a child who didn't enjoy school and was often bored or not engaged. One of our favorite aspects of Fusion is its flexibility. We homeschool and have used Fusion to beautifully complement and augment home learning. Topics of study that are hard to delve into at home; specialized subject areas we don't have expertise in as parents (like illustration or animation or German); concepts that need a more nuanced instructional style...Fusion offers it all. Each "semester", classes and schedules are custom fit to our personal family needs. It's the perfect educational model for our family.
Ashley Quinn: My high school son has been a student at Fusion Academy for one year and my only regret is that WE DIDN'T FIND THEM SOONER! From the initial contact with the head-of-school through the classroom experience, Fusion has been wonderful. Whether your student has a learning difference, is off-the-charts gifted, or is an Olympic athlete with a crazy schedule, Fusion's customization of curriculum and timelines is a welcome departure from the usual approach to education. My advice to parents looking for an alternative to traditional educational offerings is GET TO FUSION NOW!!!!

St. Timothy's School: what do users think?
Felicia Trujillo: Exceptional. I can't rave about St. Timothy's enough. The academics, extra-curriculars, community, teachers and families are all amazing! Our children LOVE school and so do we!
Lynn Headley: St. Timothy’s School has been a wonderful experience for our daughter! She is thriving and it’s the perfect community for us.
J.K. Bodiford: I encourage you to speak with several other families, who have enrolled their children here at St. Timothy's. I am certain you will find that they overwhelmingly agree with our own experience. After four years as a St. Timothy's family, we cannot imagine sending our child anywhere else. We were looking for a school that not only gave our child a complete, traditional education, but one that fostered emotional and character growth. We found that and more at St. Timothy's. Grounded by a goal of whole-life preparation, St. Timothy's is exceptional in leadership development, character-building, community engagement and the fostering of Christian ethics. It has a rare balance of traditional, classic education and the real-life skills needed to prepare children for an emerging world. Our child is a stronger student, as well as a more rounded individual, who will be well prepared for the next phases of both academics and life.
Beth Lane: Great community feel where students and parents become part of a school family that gives your child the chance to grow their mind, heart and spirit. Every season and every year bring activities and traditions that weave dimension into the academic experience. The annual Fall Festival and field trip to Washington, D.C. were highlights for us. Small classes and great teachers were a gift to our child.
Apita: Worst experience ever. Kids are clique-y and are unwelcoming to new students.
Jim Cain: Parent - We spent a collective 12 years at St. Timothy's with two children. We knew we made a good decision but as time went by we realized we made a great decision. Not only do they have a strong academic program that prepared our children for high school, but the environment and the support by teachers, staff and fellow parents made it that more enriching. My daughter who is in college, reflects very fondly on her experience and visits the campus whenever she can. She calls several of the teachers "good friends" who she stays in contact with today. I applaud the work they have done and only wish they had a high school option!
Valerie Balestrieri: A bit like meeting that special someone- sometimes you just know. That was our experience after much research and touring multiple schools for our two boys. I am pleased to say we feel as confident in our decision today, as we did four years ago.The teachers are wonderful, and really get to know your child. Communication with the teachers and school is excellent. We like the ability based groupings within each grade for math and reading. The student can move to a different group during the year based on the child's needs. Preventing boredom, promoting challenges. All without endless testing. The after school program is great- many working parents here. The full time school nurse, caring teachers, sports, band, art... we feel fortunate to have found a school where our children are learning not only curriculum based concepts, but character building traits as well.
Luci Ross: Save your money. The public schools of Raleigh are much better and most wealthy parents choose to send their kids to public school. This school allows bullying and violence among kids too.
sonia areco de oliveira: Not impressed with St Timothy's school.Snobby people. Careless teachers. Bullies all over the school you don't want your child here. 450 students for 3 headmaster. My daughter was academically weak!!Run while you can!!Horrible experience
Heather Cunningham: Please don't send your child here!!! This school promotes bullying by punishing the child being bullied!! The teachers are careless and do not pay attention to the situations. Academics are weak at best. please for the safety of your child find another school.
Shannon Helm: St. Timothy's School is a hidden gem in Raleigh! Our children have thrived in the lower school and absolutely love coming to school. The teachers are very caring and supportive, and the individualized academic attention is wonderful! The after school care program is very strong with wonderful counselors who help with homework and lead structured activities. We highly recommend STS for those looking for a school with strong academics, a strong community with parent involvement and a strong character education component.
Pam Cashwell: Our son came in as a 6th grader and was warmly welcomed by students and staff. The transition was very easy and the small class size, engaging teachers and nurturing environment have been a great fit. 6th graders can play sports! Huge bonus.
Linda Carrigan: St. Timothy's has been a wonderful school for our 3 daughters. My oldest is in High School now and was very prepared academically. She also uses life skills that she learned while at St. Timothy's such as; organizing her binder and presenting in front of her classes. My middle daughter is or was more on the shy, quiet side until she started at St. Timothy's during her second grade year. She tells me now that she is the first one to raise her hand to present a project. Presentation skills are taught early on, so by the time the kids reach middle school, they are comfortable with public speaking. St. Timothy's has given her that confidence. She has blossomed during her 6 years at this school! In addition to the strong academics at St. Timothy's, I love that the school teaches life skills, believes in community service projects in all grades and that the teachers truly care about our children.
Kari McMichael: Great academic environment and lovely campus!
Soraya Caro: Great School with exceptional teachers, and a beautiful environment.
Webster West: We really like it.
G. Fan: We love St. Timothy's! I have a 2nd grader there. He's been there since Kindergarten. He has some learning difficulties which required therapy; and I homeschooled him for half of kindergarten. For social skill purposes and because he wanted so much to be with other kids in school, we enrolled him in STS. It's been the most wonderful thing for him. He still tells me he wants to go to school on Saturdays and Sundays. The teachers are so good with him. They are easily accessible via e-mail or just popping my head in the door when I'm on campus. The class sizes are perfect (for us...never been greater than 16 kids) and the teachers love teaching and are so kind. Classes are so organized! STS uses thematic teaching...so if they are studying sea creatures....everything (art, social studies, science, writing, reading, etc.) is associated with that. The children enjoy learning how everything is tied together. In kindergarten, my son started in pre-K reading and after 2 weeks of assessing him, they decided he should move up to the advanced reading group. There was no need for paper work or meetings, the teachers just spoke to each other and the transition happened the following week. The environment is so family-oriented and the kids are so sweet! There are teachers just for art, PE, science, and music....and they are phenomenal! The lab experiments are so creative and educational. PE is designed with the growth development of the child in mind. Art is amazing! You just have to visit and see for yourself. The personal attention is really a strength of this program if your child is in need of this.
A. Tucker: We have been a part of the St. Timothy’s School community since 2006. Currently, we have 3 kids attending the school in grades Pre-K, 4th and 7th. Our experience with the school has been exceptional. The teachers have consistently fostered a love of learning in our children. The teachers are enthusiastic about both the material they teach as well as each individual child. All 3 of our children enjoy going to school each day. Each year, the school has ensured that our children have the foundations necessary to excel in the next academic year. The lower school teachers did an excellent job of preparing our daughter for middle school and we have no doubt that she will be ready for the challenges of high school. We have been impressed with the tiered approach to the development of the middle school children with focus on developing organizational skills, study skills, character traits and social skills.Once you become a part of the community, you begin to understand the importance of the traditions of St. Timothy’s School. The children look forward with anticipation each year to these traditions, including the Fall Festival, the Christmas Pageant, Balloon Day, and the Biggles/Littles program. The traditions play an important role in the overall experience of learning and being a part of the St. Timothy’s community. Most importantly, they help make school fun!Character trait education is an integral part of the curriculum at St. Timothy’s. The emphasis on the character traits, such as honesty, perseverance, kindness, and responsibility ensures that our children are not only learning the tools necessary to be successful in school, but also the tools to be successful in life.Recently, the active parent organization, Friends of St. Timothy’s, has been successful in providing extra funds for special projects at the school such as state-of-the-art teaching technology in every classroom. The enthusiasm and implementation of innovative teaching methods by the administration have made a huge impact and we are excited to see what the future holds for St. Timothy’s School and our children.
Greg R: STS is a great school with a nurturing environment and high expectations on students. I have 2 children there. STS has the expected special classes such as Spanish, PE, Art, and Music in the lower school. The after school program is also exceptional. Tuition is the lowest among the top-tier private schools in Raleigh. STS is PK-8 which keeps the school "young" and avoids the high school that seems to be the focus of the other K-12 private schools. Anyone looking for a private school option in the Raleigh area should visit STS. The place just has the right feel for a school.
Monica Moncrieffe Bennett: We chose St. Timothy's School when we moved to Raleigh from the Northeast two years ago. It has been a wonderful experience for older child, and now our younger child is having a great experience in the Junior Kindergarten program. The academic courses are appropriatley challenging. Moreover, my friends are always amazed when I tell them that the lower school students can participate in band and the science fair. The foreign language component is also great. Both of my children now speak more spanish than their parents. The St. Timothy's School community was very welcoming, and helped to make our family's transition to this area a smooth one.
