DracoVisions LLC: I commissioned Mallin Photography for a long-distance project. I was able to mail my product examples to their studio for photo shooting. In my case, the products were small: components of a new trading card game I developed this past year and wish to sell. To sell well, one needs visual representation. Afterwards the products were mailed back.I chose to get this representation via photography, in order to have visuals of "the real thing," and not just my digital artwork of the cards. Real sells better! I found this studio via browser surf, plus some reddit feedback, and was impressed by their examples on their website. So I decided to ask for a commission.Product photos are very clean and well-done. Steve's studio has plenty of equipment to do standard as well as complex shots. I was able to request a series of photo frames for a smooth 180 rotation, still shots, and a more complicated setup of several product components.Post-editing composites and clean-up expectations were easily met and surpassed. Steve's got high skill in that area, and did it much faster and better than I ever could with my home software tools.My project took a while due to distance, but communication via emails with lots of back-and-forth prototyping were efficient and respectful for the duration. Douglas H.: While looking for a professional video-photographer, I came across Phil’s website. What caught my attention was the many kinds of photography Phil was experienced in. I was looking for someone who would document a new modular home I was having built. I wanted to capture the land untouched, its clearing in preparation to receive the house, and its being lowered from the sky onto its foundation. It has been a long project as weather and contractor issues have influenced its production.Phil came to my rescue when a previous photographer disappeared from the project without notice at a critical time. He stepped up to the challenge when I most needed someone and has not let me down.I am currently 3,000 miles away, residing on the West Coast and Phil has been my eyes, enabling me to see the progress as he furnishes me with video footage captured amazingly by his skilled operation of a drone equipped with a camera.As of this writing the project is ongoing as we are capturing as much of the process as possible, while working within a budget. Phil’s next step will be to edit all of his many hours of filming and produce a wonderful time-lapsed documentary to be shared with friends and others for years to come. We anticipate the final cut to be completed around August of 2023, just a few months from now.I will provide an update once the project is completed.From my experience to date, I would highly recommend Phil should you have a need for an experienced photographer. He has been a pleasure to work with and brings years of experience to the job.
