Catie Neilson: A yearly event I go to is hosted a block away from The Station and we always bring our annoyingly large group to drink. The staff have always been so nice and helpful. Samantha McClellan: Lovely outdoor patio with a lot of shade. We had a burger and chicken and waffles, which were decent but nothing to write home about. The fried green tomatoes came out cold - they had evidently sat a long time before coming to the table. Our server was unfortunately very inattentive despite it not being busy; it was another 15 minutes after the food came out before she came out and we had to get her attention to tell her the food was cold. Great atmosphere but really disappointing service experience, so will not be going back.
Jasper Shane: Had an overall good time at this establishment. Sat outside for lunch, and enjoyed the atmosphere, but the music was a bit loud. I understand that this was because of my location (chose the rattan chairs as they are more comfortable). Those seats are by the bar, which is where the speakers are located. Seems they are pumping the volume to ensure the further tables can hear. Would be better if they had a speaker or two on the perimeters to balance the sound better.Food was definitely tasty. I had the smashburger. Good flavors for that and the potato wedges on the side. Wedges were fried to perfection. Wife ordered the fried green tomatoes appetizer, which was also delicious. Unfortunately, it came out lukewarm, so had likely been sitting. Noticed the kitchen staff bring them to most tables, but that didn't happen for us. We had them returned and removed from the bill. Which was sad, because I do believe they're likely one of the best offerings on the menu.Service was not great. The server was friendly to a degree, but seemed unmotivated. There were only a few other tables seated outside, so it was not busy. However we only saw our server a handful of times, in contrast to the woman helping some other tables, who was regularly working with her customers. Wife and friend ordered coffee to start, and requested a second cup toward the end of the meal. Server returned with a single mug and asked if it was okay if they split it, as it was the last of the pot. A bit messy, but not the worst issue obviously. It was a bit more confusing and frustrating that they were charged a full three dollars for that cup of coffee. When did coffee refills stop being offered free?All in all, you will likely enjoy this place. Set your expectations on service, however.

Went this week for lunch and some of our favs are no longer on the menu and the burgers are now called "smash burgers" so you can't get them cooked to order, (no medium, well done) since they are all "smashed" cooked the same. Very odd, not good not fun. We all decided that we won't be back.

Scott Crawford: Found this place wandering around person street and wanted to eat outside. The service was...less than attentive...it seemed haphazard and we felt ignored while trying to get a table for 2. The food was pretty good though! I had the Nashville hot fish sandwich and enjoyed it thoroughly, my wife had the chicken and waffle and the wafflenwas good, but the chicken tasted not great. It was cool people watching and seeing all the people and dogs walking around, so that was neat, but the experience of the restaurant was meh.

Alex Davis: That atmosphere here is nice. It’s half indoor and half outdoor. They had really amazing cocktails and pretty good food. I will say the food wasn’t quite as amazing as I expected from the things I have heard but the other aspects make up for it completely. The service was great! This is a place I would take someone that was from out of town or would take friends for cocktails and dinner. I would make a reservation!

Tom Reichmeider: I wish the management would pay their kitchen staff fairly by transparently pricing their food appropriately to compensate their employees. Instead they tack on a 3% “kitchen fee” that is mentioned in fine print, and your expected to tip on top of that 3% as well. I’d gladly pay what the food should cost. Just don’t like being tricked into paying more with hidden fees.

Sakura Howell: We tried Wye Hill after reading the online reviews. Food was disappointing. My husband had the fried catfish sandwich which was mostly bun and a fried piece of batter with a couple of overcooked bites of fish inside. I had the kale Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was not fresh and the kale was raw and dry. Typically kale is “massaged” with olive oil to soften it so it is palatable but this was not the case. The salmon was also over cooked. The service was good until the server asked us how everything was and when my husband showed her the uneaten batter sandwich she said “I’m sorry about that. Do you want a box”. We politely said “no thank you” versus asking why would we want to take it home.I gave two stars versus 1 because I did enjoy the sangria and my husband liked his beer. I would not recommend nor go back.

Jason Alexander: Deceptive pricing and bad service. This place does every trick in the book to make sure their pricing is as non-transparent as possible. They do not list prices for beers on the menu, rather put a range of prices at the top that all their beers can be, they add a 3% 'kitchen fee' instead of just raising their prices and paying their workers better, and they use the screen pre-calculated tipping option to try and get you to tip more than you normally would compounding on that 3% you were already charged.Our waitress Casey (or cate, can't recall) would only stand at the end of our 10 party table to get the orders, make us yell across the entire table instead of walking around it. She also yelled at me when I asked what the 'kitchen fee' was telling/shaming me "IT IS SO OUR KITCHEN STAFF IS PAID FAIRY SIR". It was just an innocent question, and I'd gladly pay much more than 3% of the listed food costs if it was just included in prices instead of tacking it on at the end to trick people into paying more.Food was good, but the overall experience leaves you feeling like you're being sold a used car by a sleazy guy rather than a pleasant dining experience.

Sharon Mcguire: Tried to go to this restaurant while visiting Raleigh. We walked up and to hostesses were rude and told us the restaurant and bar were full. We could get a table in 45 mins. We could see that many tables were empty and no one was at the bar. We asked if we could get a drink while we waited. They said no. All full. Ok. Maybe they didn't have enough wait help, but be honest. Don't say all full when we can see seats at bar, seats along the patio and many empty tables.
kerry beach: As always, the beer and cocktails were great. Staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered from the Triangle Restaurant Week menu and the food was less impressive. Two appetizers, tuna bites and goat cheese with honey, were delicious. The mushroom entree had an overpowering smokey taste, and the prime rib was overdone. The desserts, beet cheesecake and peach upside down cake, we’re just marginal. All this said, you can’t beat Wye Hill for plain old burgers and beer!
