V. Tsodzo: I hadn't been here since a few years back. It used to be clean and the food used to be pretty good.Not this time. I got a to go box but I did not end up eating the food. Most of the food looked fried and greasy.So many people were lacking their fingers while serving food on to their plates. A lady was scratching her head and I saw a few dandruff flacks waft onto some food. Yuck.I will not return to this place!! The prices have also gone up for to go, but the quality has gone down.

SaraD: I have only ONE complaint - This seafood restaurant is not closer to my house!!Captain Stanley’s Seafood Restaurant is a true Raleigh gem! This is a no frills family-owned seafood restaurant which never disappoints me and my dinner guests. The seafood always tastes fresh, the restaurant is extremely plain (yet CLEAN), the prices are incredibly reasonable, and the portions are very generous. You can choose from a hefty portion of your single favorite item (baked, broiled or fried) or choose a platter of your favorites (2-4 choices to mix and match). They offer regular, senior, and children portions and 1-2 daily specials. The staff here are always friendly and courteous. I feel they appreciate my business. If you love fresh seafood, you shouldn’t be disappointed!

Rideshare Stormchaser: Maybe I came on a bad day, but the pasta was lacking sauce from top to bottom. Had to stir and stir to get some of the pasta covered with just a little sauce. Crablegs were good, the famous cheddar biscuits were sub-par, and the appetizers did not feel like they did their best work at their normally high level. Maybe I need to come on a high volume day when the tip chef works. 2-star experience, with a 4 star server and staff.

I was a little disappointed they don't offer shrimp cocktail as an appetizer any longer (Dragon shrimp was not a suitable replacement as the server suggested as it was spicier and saltier). Beth Holsomback: Service was very slow. There were 4 of us, we got apps, salads and entrees and a single plate was never removed from our table. I had to stack all of our unwanted plates next to me at the end of the table and NO server or manager ever picked them up. What makes it worse is we were sitting right next to the kitchen so about every server in the restaurant walked by our table. We were also brought drink refills when we didn’t need them and all the glasses were left on our table. I had to box our leftovers on my lap because there was no room on the table. The calamari was frozen not fresh and it was so greasy you could wring it out. The server that delivered our food didn’t know what was on the plates and since 3 of us got steak (different cook temps) and crab legs we had to all cut our steaks and pass the plates around to figure out whose was whose. I got a filet and it was so tough there were bites I could barely chew and swallow. One of us wanted the new lemon pepper crab legs and they were brought a huge bowl of lemon pepper sauce instead of them putting it on the crab legs, not good at all. Our butter was separated and cool and I cut my thumb on my crab legs because I wanted to eat and they took forever to bring the crackers. I would not go back and I would not recommend anyone go there.

TWANIA B: I dined at the bar and ordered the endless variety of shrimp dishes; the coconut shrimp was the best option, but I will not order it again. Of course, the cheddar bay biscuits did not disappoint; DELISH! The bartender appeared to be frustrated and annoyed with his life in general and expressed that he would rather be anywhere than at work. Other employees came to the bar to get drinks and expressed the same sentiment about working the dining room area. They complained about their experiences with other patrons, lack of good tips and overall frustration with working in a restaurant. I did not get the impression that it was the best place to work, so with all the negativity, my dining experience was not very satisfying. On the bright side, the manager was a breath of fresh air. She prepared a cocktail for me while the frustrated bartender took a smoke break. I enjoyed my conversation with her which is the reason why I gave the restaurant 3 stars instead of one.

The minimum was 18%. Then I have realized they charge tip on tax was well. So 29.95 was AYCE w/o tax, 32.42 was AYCE w/ tax, then I paid 5.84 on tip which is 18% of 32.42z Why do I need to pay tip on the taxes? Tax is not a service you guys provided. And why there is a person staring at me for leaving tips? This is uncomfortable and I have never see other restaurants do this.

I must've not read it well but for dinner, it turns into an ayce for $30 per person, which I think is great for the price, considering the sushi is included. I recommend their tempura (shrimp and sweet potato), it was great. the crab rangoons were great too. don't get the calamari. it had a weird taste to it, maybe a bad batch (?). I would also avoid the salmon skin sushi. The skin was too chewy and clearly old, because freshly made salmon skin would be crispy and not as tough. Overall, good place to eat.

Lydia Forehand: Great sushi! We got the all-you-can-eat dinner. It’s easy to order, and the orders come out relatively fast, unless you order a whole lot at a time. The Rhino roll is delicious. Despite what I’m seeing many reviews say, the food seems fresh and it is good for the most part. The crab rangoon (crab and cheese wonton) is also good. They offer “create your own” sushi for those who don’t like the many options, and you can put whatever in it. If you have the all-you-can-eat, try the green tea ice cream! Only downside is that it’s somewhat expensive, and you do get charged if you don’t finish. The service is alright, sometimes slow or curt, but overall good. Everyone seems nice. Overall, this is a great place and I have been back several times!

All three are top-notch restaurants with excellent service. Kammira H.: I'm a repeat customer of this establishment - fell in love with the restaurant a couple of years back in Wilmington, NC - However, after my last dining experience on Sunday, July 9th, I will not be returning. Not only did my family and I's food take over an hour to be delivered (we were seated at 12:33 pm, ordered at 12:42 pm, entrees delivered sporadically, not together at 1:45pm), the manager was rude and dismissive when I brought up my concerns (the one who had long, brown, curly hair wearing a blue shirt walked off while I was explaining the issue), and the quality of what was delivered was poor (items were missing & foods meant to be served hot were lukewarm). My oysters were grainy and my mouth was cut by a piece of shell. Which not only was painful but frustrating granted I ordered the whole boat ($32+) which had to be wasted because I did not trust the quality of what was provided on my plate. Plus, I had to pay 20% tip (gratuity) on top of our bill given my party size (7 adults, 1 child). I'm not sure if this was a one-off experience, but I will not be visiting this location again.

But with current shortages it has now become very challenging with many of our items extremely hard to get in today’s conditions as well as the stricter regulations on NC fisherman. We try our hardest to use NC products when they’re available, domestic products as our next option, and we only use imported products when absolutely necessary.

It's not fancy but it's worth a try if you haven't been.Wheelchair accessibility: It is handicapped friendly, being on one level without stairs. The area is fine for walkers and wheelchairs. If they wish to improve, perhaps they could keep a wheelchair or 2 at the front. I went with a person using a cane and it may have been easier if she were offered a wheelchair. There is a large space for dining which is good, but it creates some difficulty for those with walking difficulties. Regardless, we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.
