Pro Safety: You're gonna wanna brace yourself for this review. It's gonna hurt a little. B Warned!!The Food - Those in my party who ordered hot food got hot food. Those who ordered cold food got cold food.I almost forgot about the flavors. Everyone was more than satisfied. The portion was large enough for even me to do a "take home" and I don't like leftovers. This meal was even better the second day.Service - I don't unusually drop names but today is an exception. Our server is named Eric. From the moment we got to our table Eric was on point! Drinks never stopped flowing and clearly his commitment to excellence showed in his ability to anticipate our needs including putting sauces in side dishes instead of on the main plate. Ok I hear you Picky Patti's saying, " That's no biggie"! Well it is when you notice the tables on both sides of you getting their sauces on the main plate without asking for it!!!Eric was not only prompt with serving us, he was able to blend (mix for my street peeps) his professional presence with his multifaceted personality to adjust to our group. Eric appealed to the eclectic birthday person at our table, to the children to the hard to please person (not me), the "I. Want Everything Now" person and the grumpy older person. He did this without making any of us feel less than or picked on. Infact, Eric did it so well that each of us felt like we were the only person in the building.We saw other servers doing their job but Eric stood out at the three tables we saw him work. To see this happen in a marvel in itself. I really suggest management do the undercover boss thing so that you get to witness this magic first hand. I'm working hard in this review not to throw shade on other servers but I do encourage them to stand under the Eric Tree for a minute.Atmosphere- I'm gonna tell you a secret. I prejudiced this place without ever having come here. From what I heard this wasn't a real "family" eatery. I thought this was one of those high priced places where in the "Crunches" (The Upper Crust Nickname comes frome people who prefer a thick but crunchy pizza crust that 99%of the time is higher priced) go for drinks and heave seafood. I was completely wrong!!!!! Which goes to show I'm still not to old to stand corrected.This eatery is a family focused establishment. While this often goes unnoticed, the height of the ceiling in a restaurant contributes to the noise level in the dinning room. This eatery has ceiling high enough to allow each person to be heard without have to say, "Uh, what you say" over and over. It means Eric could rake all of our orders from one spot at the table. We had enough room for flapping wings and yet stay close.The Cost - Well, we didn't just pay for the food. We paid for the exceptional service and the amount of detail to attention we were given. We were satisfied with our billed.Kid-friendliness: Our Server Eric made our grandchildren feel like royalty.Parking: There is limited parking on the property but you gotta get there early. There are several parking decks in the area for a fee.

Gwen Peterson: Amazing server who gave plenty of dish recommendations and knew everything about the different types of oysters.Food:Complementary hush puppies; delicious, very difficult to not fill up on them before the meal!Oysters; so many different kinds, truly high end. The pirates pearl were great.The bacon wrapped scallops are delicious, decadent, and a must-have. The sauce they came with was to die for as well.The Norfolk style crabmeat was delicious and had tons of flavor (and butter). It was very garlic-y. The collard greens were also delicious. It's a smaller dish though, so definitely get an appetizer with it.The blackened Asian seabass was an amazing dish, with very crispy and flavorful shoestring potatoes, super fresh and flavorful seabass, on a bed of garlic-y spinach that absorbs all of the delicious fish flavors and seasonings. The couple of cherry tomatoes burst in your mouth with a hot, buttery, and flavorful pop.The side salads were covered in croutons, and not the best.Dietary restrictions: Great options
