Brian Hicks: Two years update: Stove is still doing perfect.I write this review because I have a bit of faith in Jordan. I needed to replace an old GE spacemaker and because I am in the middle of a snail's pace kitchen remodel, I needed a cheap stove to get me by until the remodel is done. What I wound up getting was basically the stove I was going to put in the kitchen eventually, another GE, but a slide in. So let me address all the 1 stars. I suspect, as I literally talked to Jordan for an hour, that, the people who have left the reviews 1. Expected the same experience as say Sears outlet center (this is after all a single man, repairing appliances and reselling them, it's not a store, it's his house and, yes, things are unkempt, but the vibe I got was that he doesn't have time to worry about it, kinda like me.) 2. Didn't get him to fully test out the appliance (I went over with a ohmmeter and insisted we test the oven before I bought it) and 3. When they had a problem they were rude about it. The snapshot I saw was of a man trying to make a living. I haven't had a problem with my oven and it's been 2 months so far. If it wasn't for the fact that I get what the owner is trying to accomplish I'd probably leave like 3 or 4 Stars, but the thing is. I understand. I can't speak for not honoring a warranty or what not. I haven't been down that road, but my experience was in fact positive.

Ashleigh Wyatt: We bought what was supposed to be an RV AC/DC/LP refrigerator from Jordan. Jordan said if for any reason it doesn't fit or work we had 30 days to return it and he would give us our money back. Called him for 3 days and didn't get an answer or call back. Finally get him to answer and he said to be there the next day at 6pm. We were there at 5:55pm. He finally showed up at 7:15. While we were waiting two additional cars showed up. He took the other people first that were making a purchase. When I asked him to help us, he said he would only do a trade. He didn't have another RV refrigerator. Then he started saying there was damage to the fridge. The fridge was put on our trailer by Jordan and strapped down by Jordan. The refrigerator never left the Trailer and was parked inside a locked shop for the entire time we had it. Plus we have pictures of all damage of refrigerator before it left his place. Once we showed him pictures, he changed the subject and said he will only do exchange. But doesn't have one to exchange it for. Don't do business with this man!!

Greers Heating and Air: Doesn’t honor warranty and dodges any phone calls when he learns your number is calling about a warranty problem. Never trust these people

Sharlet Ambrister: Unethical, not trustworthy, deceitful, corrupt, unfair, unprincipled, underhanded and wicked. Sold me a dorm refrigerator that did not work. Promised to make good on the sale because another customer was there but never did but gave me the run around.

Teshauna Brewer: I wish I saw reviews before dealing with this man. He is a HORRIBLE businessman. He sold me a fridge he claimed has only been used once and it never got cold. I called him, he promised he would have someone come out to check it. No one came. I had to then go back by and he said he didn't have any cash and to come back. I came back and he pretended he wasn't there and came up with yet another excuse. Oh well, now I'm at a loss and I won't be shopping local anymore.

Anita Johnson: I don't recommend them. Find somebody else to give your hard earned money to. No matter how cheap or convenient, you'll wish you had not gone there. They will say anything for a sale and do the bare minimum afterwards.

David Grimsley: Bought washer and dryer. They showed up dirty, damaged, and not working. They replaced them with another set that was unnecessarily loud and the dryer stopped working one month later. We have a one year warranty but the customer service is a joke. Please come fix this.

I called into the store and, I believe he is the owner, came out the next day on a weekend and fixed it no problem. Great experience for used goods! Certainly can’t get that kind of service everywhere nowadays!

Nicole Wetzel: Do not buy anything from this place! All employees are rude and their "refurbished" appliances don't work. I bought a washer and dryer in September of 2021,have had issue after issue, to then be blamed that I intentionally went into the dryer and broke it! It is now November 2021 and I still have not yet been able to get them to replace their faulty appliances. I have already contacted the BBB about these people so hopefully they will not be open much longer to do this to people.

Breia-lyn Mackin: The owner blatantly lied to us to make a sale. He told us he would order new handles for our fridge if we purchased it ... We did and we have had nothing but issues since. The "brand new" fridge has had to be serviced more than once. It was not under warranty because it was purchased by the owner under less than ideal conditions (per the person that had to come and fix it) even though the owner assured us it was covered. Now we've had it a year and it leaks and the freezer door doesn't work correctly.

They'll tell you the warranty is good for a year if something happens within the year they'll charge you $60.00 to pay a repair man. They came took out one washer and replaced it however the replacement washer leaked water all over my kitchen. They have came and picked up the replacement washer with nothing to replace it with at this point don't know when they'll be bringing another one. I wouldn't recommend no one to purchase anything from this place.

Then I went to look at some appliances she called out to me and said I wasnt allowed to walk and talk on the phone for safety reasons. That I can stand still and talk on the phone if I wanted to. So I walked away because I found it odd.

Donna Taylor: It’s a shame that when you purchase items from them and they claim and out right lie about delivery times and dates. They take your money and then tell you every excuse under the sun of why they can’t deliver when they promise to deliver. I have heard one story after another and still no delivery of the product I paid for and on top of it they are RUDE!!!!!!!!!

The didn't come to 2 separate installation appointments, when the store manager came late at night to install, the dishwasher leaked a day later.My home warranty repairman showed me the bent leg that meant the unit would never work right. The store refused to stand by the product they claimed they fully tested.Steer well clear of this place. What they promise is not what they produce.

Andrew Quick: Total joke of a business will not refund delivery charge. They want us to pay for the dryer again before they dill refund the delivery charge.

Joy Williams: We bought a brand new Maytag washer and dryer and a brand new Samsung refrigerator here. We also paid for the delivery. The delivery men were late and didn't have a problem cursing in front of my children. They also said the fridge needed a water line not provided, and if we didn't run to Lowe's to buy one and install it asap, the fridge could be damaged once plugged in. It would have been good to know this ahead of time, but the owner did not inform us.On top of that, the washing machine had a broken water valve, discovered by the delivery men as soon as it was taken out of the box. We had to wait 10 days for the repair man to fix it after calling Discount City. A few days later, the washing machine stopped actually washing. Again, when making an appointment, the repair man wouldn't be able to come for another 10 days. I stayed home all day waiting for the repair man, and because he called my husband while he was at work (and therefore didn't answer right away), the repair man never showed up. Repair man said he would not knock on the door if we did not answer his phone call first. We are now having to wait another week before even seeing the repair man after calling the manufacturer again. Again, this was a brand new washing machine, not much cheaper than Lowe's or Home Depot.Discount City cannot be counted on for reliable machines, and they do not return broken appliances.

Falan E: I came in last minute to purchase a used dryer. After seeing what the options were I settled on a new purchase. I’m satisfied with my purchase. I love this dryer, so far there have not been any issues. It came with a one-year warranty and the option to purchase additional from the manufacturer. The person who assisted me in the appliance store was nice and professional. I was a bit hesitant about the reviews but I had a good experience. There is a bit of a lengthy contract to sign for the delivery and no refund policy disclaimer that can be off-putting but I trusted the process. The delivery came maybe three days later (I was promised next-day delivery). There is a delivery charge of $100 if they have to go upstairs. Much more affordable on-ground deliveries. This delivery was much quicker than Home Depot when I ordered a washer machine. It ended up coming a day later than I expected because of their delivery truck having an issue but it was good timing considering other places I've been.

Corey Galindo: I would highly recommend to anyone looking for scratch and dent appliances. The customer service when we first walked through the door to when we left was wonderful. $1200 For 2 front loading LG washer dryer units with a small scratch on the side and wifi technology is a price you cannot find anywhere! We opted to pick up the units instead of delivery and unfortunately when the gentlemen was bringing it out to myTruck the hand truck slipped and the unit fellOver. He gave me his personal number and told me when i hooked it up if there was any problems to call him. I did and unfortunately a part was broken and it leaked. So i called him and within 2 hours he was at my door with a brand new washing machine! I have never received such excellent customer service and i would absolutely recommend to anyone because anyone can sell a product. But to correct an accident like that is awesome!

Danial Zaki: Walked in, terrible greeting. Place was a mess. Tripped on items on the floor. Agreed to purchase a fridge, went to purchase and work out delivery details, was then told a higher price than originally agreed on. After trying to explain the order of events and the price he told us originally was lower, he told us to go shop somewhere else because he doesn’t debate. Horrible service.

Kevin Zegel: Great prices, very friendly and helpful. We bought a sectional today and had it delivered within 30 minutes. Other places had expected delivery times of 1-2 months... I was shocked to get such a good deal as well as same day delivery. Highly recommend!

You know when you buy from them you already know that you are buying from them has been damaged so when you buy it you are taking a chance They will refund your money if you have a problem with it. Also if you take it back they will try to say it your fault. You are not getting a good buy. Do your homework before you buy from them and if you do you will see I am right.

Dr. Steve Raj: I bought 2 fridges from Zuhair for $700. He told me both units were Lowes returns. Turned out only 1 was and the other was a customer returned. In addition, there was a drawer missing and he told me that he will get one for me. I brought my own truck and they helped load it up and when i asked for the drawer, they said that it doesn't come with one after loading it up. After installing the fridge at the rental property, it was running but not cold. I called them back after 3 weeks, due to the fact that the tenant just moved in and told me that it wasn't cold. They told me that they are not responsible for it once it leaves their shop. This is ridiculous as i am stuck with a non working fridge now! Do not buy from them unless you check every detail and ensure that everything works prior to leaving the shop.

Monica Money: Terrible customer service! Came into store February 23rd 2021 no one was in the store had a question for the owner he was on the computer and he totally ignored me. I recommend not shopping at this store. Can't even acknowledge when a customer is there to purchase something.ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!!!!!

Stephen Toback: Bought a refrigerator/Freezer for $250. Was working. They said, "No problem, lay it down in the back of your truck." I questioned this because I heard that would ruin the fridge. They said, "No problem". So we did. Now, a few weeks later, it is barely cooling and we had to throw out several hundred dollars worth of food. Do NOT buy from this place.

Darin Cox: I was surprised at all of the negative reviews. We found them through their Facebook Marketplace ads. We had a hidden dishwasher leak that caused about 12k in damage. After all of the repairs, $250 for a dishwasher sounded pretty good. We checked it out, and it was a $1k dishwasher in working condition with a slight blemish on the side of the door that you had to look closely to see.... a steal if it worked ok.So we went, and waited for a bit while they were helping other customers. They scrounged for a kick plate they thought would fit, and we took it home. We hooked it up and it leaked. Bummer. Contacted them via FB, and they said to bring it back the next day. They retested, and it leaked, so they were going to check hoses and seals the following day. They rechecked multiple times the next day and it did not leak, so we picked it up and took it home. At home we realized that the problem was the new tray we put in to protect from water going behind the dishwasher for no more hidden leaks. There were ridges pushing on the housing in the middle, which caused it to leak.. So it was our fault, not the dishwasher's.Throughout the process, Smart Buy was courteous and helpful, testing it several times, taking time to talk to us, and planned to give us our money back if it didn't work out.I ordered a new kick plate online, to match the model. A small price to pay for such a great deal.So again, I am surprised at the poor reviews, some of which didn't even purchase from them, but we're reviewing based on other reviews. Perhaps others aren't accounting for the fact that these are used, factory seconds, or floor models. Obviously you have to be careful, but you can get a good appliance for a fraction of the cost. In the end we just got a great looking, over $1k dishwasher that was manufactured 6 or 7 months ago for less than a quarter the cost. Will definitely look there again when we need another appliance.

Valeria Murray: I bought a brand new dishwasher and smooth top oven from this store. because they both have cosmetic flaws the price was exceptional!!!I asked for a deal for the combo and they were very nice to work with me so we would both get a good deal. I CHOSE to pay cash to get a better price for both appliances. I also chose delivery to my driveway because it was cheaper, but they also offer delivery to your house.my husband did the installation with no problems.The appliances were tested before I saw them in the store and before they were delivered to me. They works great because they are brand new!!!It was also delivered within the timeframe promised. This is a small business run by the owner almost alone. He did the delivery himself! if you expect 20 people catering for you like a big box corporation, this is not it!! Tyler Hepps: Drove over a hour and half round trip to buy what was advertised a brand new Maytag washer and dryer which is still up there. Upon arrival I was told they didn’t want card but instead cash. I left to go get cash came back and wanted to see the machines run. The dryer would never run. The place is a scam. Would not trust.
