Amanda O: I was in search for free weights so my husband can continue his physical therapy at home. We checked all over town and tried ordering on all the box store websites. We were both quite frustrated when I decided to give Play it Again Sports a call. They said they were getting a shipment of weights in an hour or so. I dropped by thinking it would be a fail but it was the total opposite. They were unloading so many items. Each staff member was so friendly and knew exactly what they had and where to find each item. They went way above and beyond during this crazy time when all the gyms are closing and everyone is searching for gym equipment. You have a customer for life. While the Golf Galaxy is part of another store, they had a wide variety of drivers, woods, and irons, and the staff is open to lending their time and expertise. Overall a wonderful experience, and I would highly recommend this Golf Galaxy for your golf needs!

Tim Riordan (Chickenlittlewascorrect): I used to love Golfsmith... they have all the stuff you will ever want however the service there is horrible. I tired to return some grips that were IN THE WRONG BIN and because I did not have the receipt from the prior week I was given about 80% of the actual cost back in credit. I was simply changing out mid size grips for standard. The standard were cheaper and I was NOT even looking for the difference, they charged me more for buying a less expensive grip, again because of the grip. Their computer had the info and I have bought thousands of dollars of stuff over the last 5-6 years... and this is the way I get treated. I was really trying to get on over on them right.Again remember the bin I took these out of said Standard NOT mid size.......

Needed a new grip for the driver and some stickers removed in some newly bought clubs. Time was a necessity as I was headed out of town within the hour. Adam Dumonceau: Just bought a new Odyssey putter… the staff at the pro shop helped me add a new grip and 1” shaft extension in about 20 minutes. Brodie was a huge help, very personable without trying to upsell you on things you don’t want/need. Great staff great experience!

Brad Lane: I've been shopping for a new pair of golf shoes for several months. It should be simple, FootJoy, size 9.5, Medium, waterproof, spiked, not over $150. I want to be able to try the shoes on in the store as my foot can be a difficult fit. The thing is, I've been checking Golf Galaxy Raleigh and Dicks Sporting Goods since some time in July and they never have them in stock, it's always an order. I don't want to order to my home to possibly have to take them back. Why wouldn't either of these big stores have such a simple shoe in stock? I know it's getting to the end of the season but early July wasn't. I really enjoy shopping at these places.

Jr. Isaacs: Now they are Dick's Sporting goods, if there are more than ten people in the store it feels uncomfortable to tight, was into get golf balls, got those, wanted shoes but there was no one to help, was in there for about thirty minutes walked by six employee's no one spoke, got to check out, first thing they said too me put your score card in , lol , I said I don't have one was not offer one, pay for my purchase and left..

Bryan Osborne: I have not golfed in five years (and what I did didn’t resemble golf) never had a knack for it nothing natural and have done lessons but none ever really stuck. Needless to say frustrating.Today I had my first and only hour long lesson with the instructor Jess and it was amazing. She put an apparatus on me that videoed my swing and compared to a pro golfers swing while giving me advice in stages. Before long I was hitting the ball straight and for a degree of distance and using my whole body to do the swing not just my arms. I would have a long long way to go to becoming a golfer but for the first time I feel like maybe there’s a chance! Thanks for making it simple and fun Jess!

Steve Soltys: You never go to a golf place expecting not to drop a good load of cash. It's quite frankly, expensive to be even marginally decent at this game. I don't play often, but I was going to be playing in a tournament for my son's school and needed a driver. I ran into Dave who asked me if I was being helped. I told him my situation, and to boot I have a terrible slice. Knowing that this was not a serious interest, Dave took me into the used section. Dave took the time to not only show me a club that will help me, but put me in the simulator and showed me how to hit it. He gave me some drills to do before I took a shot, and MAN did it help. Here's the kicker; I went into the store expecting to pay a good deal of money... the club only cost $20. IN - FREAKING- CREDIBLE. I'm pretty sure I had a better time here than I will at the tournament.

Richard Davis: I just left the store located at Cary Parkside Town Commons at 1030 Parkside Main Street, Cary, NC. I was looking to purchase a Ping G425 Max driver. I had previously tested several brands and shaft configurations so I knew what I needed. I found several clubs in the loft and shaft configuration that I needed. Some were still new in the plastic. There were several other clubs that were obviously hit. The plastic was removed and there were ball marks on the face of the club.In the past, when I have wanted to hit new clubs and there weren’t demo clubs available, the salesperson would tape up the club. They did this because ‘then they couldn’t sell the club as new’. So, I asked an associate, since this club was hit, and I was told the above in the past, what would the discount be? He called over the ‘master club fitter’ and asked my question.He told me that they could clean off the ball mark. I reiterated the story above. He told me then he would get the me club I wanted new in the plastic. I then asked him why was I told in the past that I couldn’t hit a club because it affected the value, but now, when I wanted to buy a club with a lesser value, as defined by Golf Galaxy, I couldn’t get a discount. I told him that was playing both sides of the coin, not being upfront and honest to a customer. I also told him that I would buy it right now if they gave me any kind of discount.He said he would rather wait for a full-paying customer than sell it to me now. And then he made what I considered a condescending comment when I handed the club to him.This comment and position are ridiculous. It tells me that I am not a valued customer in any way and that Golf Galaxy will change its position when it’s convenient for them. It is a deceitful practice.I have been going to this store for 9 years and quite frankly have had spotty service at best. This was the worst.

Rochelle Davis: My husband and I have been several times to this location with no issue and good customer service. Unfortunately today when we drove up from Fayetteville (1.5 hours) again one of the floor associates named Joe approached us several times. The first time he asked if we needed help which we responded, "No, thank you. Just browsing." The second time he took our items out of our hands to place at the counter. Did not ask for them, just reached and made it incredibly awkward to say no. I'm capable of carrying balls. He than approached us when we were browsing clearance and got extremely close to my husband and I from behind us startling us. From our previous experiences with the store, this is not on par. The experience this time was more along the lines of being profiled for shoplifting. It was incredibly uncomfortable and we will be taking our business elsewhere.
