HandmeUPs Thrift: what do users think?
Ryan Cunningham: So many great finds and awesome staff!!
Big Ben: Phenomenal shop. Staff was very kind and cordial. They went above and beyond. More than you would expect from a local thrift. The stop is a must if you are in the area.
DeeDee “DeeV8”: Absolutely LOVE thrift stores! You find lots of unique items as well as items made to last.
Konig “KonigKrieg” Krieg: Great thrift store with a bunch of friendly people to help!
Jill Phillips: Great store! I was in recently and surprised at the wide variety, and well put together displays. This store will be a go-to for me when I'm needing something. It is well organized and easy to see what is on shelves.
Carla Matthew, BSBM, PM: Great selection, my lucky day. I walked in for the first time and found ALL the things on my list!
Jae: i tried to buy an earring (there was only one in the bin and i couldn’t find the other, i was fine with paying full price for just one) and she refused to sell it to me and told me that she was just going to throw it away instead of selling it. not only that, she just stared at me for a good minute or two before actually ringing me up.
andrew goodman: I went on Thursday march 30th and the manager yelled at one of the workers, who had special needs, over selling a table. She yelled at her in front of all the people in the store. It was disrespectful and degrading the way she spoke to this young lady.
Oak Miller: Good thrift
Stephanie Baur: By far one of my favorite thrift stores in the triangle area. Well lit, clean, and good prices. What I love most is that they hire adults with autism to work in the store. It gives them an opportunity to socialize with the community and share their fun personalities, plus earn an income. We need to help each other through these tough times and this store is such a positive influence on the people who work there. I encourage everyone to be patient with the autistic staff. They want to learn to make a living just like the rest of us, only it's harder for them. They are also super creative and sometimes use vintage ceramics and glassware to sell plants in. I always find more than I expect and leave feeling happy. Overall a great shopping experience!
Ruth Campbell: I found some great items and loved talking with the owner (or manager, it has been awhile and I can't remember... I'll have to go again soon). The highlight of my shopping trip, however, was when one of the workers overheard me as I looked at a Dora the Explorer toy and lamented that kids don't know about Dora anymore. The staff member agreed and we sang the Backpack song together and it totally made my entire day. This is my kind of place.
Dr. G Plastina (Doc G): HandmeUPs Thrift is a nice thrift store located in a not-so-busy location. Its clean, spacious and well-lighted area makes your shopping easy. The prices are ok for their books, clothing, toys, and others.
Joanna Bousquet: Rude staff to my family member.. don't bother going if you want a pleasant shopping experience. Not a great variety.
Pam Rundle: I love this thrift store. Fortunately I live close by and stop in on a very regular basis and find new things every time I shop. They are constantly putting out new items. It is somewhat of an addiction I know. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Also love the mission of the thrift store - supporting and giving those on the spectrum an opportunity to work. Managers do a great job managing the store and caring for the employees!
Keith Howard: Cool spot
Evelyn Battle: What a great place for a great cause!!! The people that work there are so sweet and caring! We love coming up once a week and shopping around!
Alexia Orr: This thrift store is an absolute gem!It is well organized, reasonable prices, really good service, and lots and lots of great stuff.Hands down, my favorite thrift store in the area.A must go to if you live, or are visiting the Raleigh area!
Drew McGrory: Amazing store with friendly employees! Have found so many amazing treasures in this store!!
Kathleen Tenney: Hand Me Ups Thrift store is the best thrift store I have ever been to!!! For all the great variety of merchandise you can purchase, pricing, and cleanliness!! Their staff is kind and helpful if you need any help!! I highly recommend them if you are in the Raleigh Area!!
Morgan Palmer: I was able to find several fabric options for sewing projects. Everyone was helpful and super sweet!
Daniela Zambrano: Loved it! Was able to get my husband a few shirts in perfect condition!

Retails Thrift Shop: what do users think?
Kaitlyn Smith: Selfishly I have not wanted to give this place a higher rating because I don’t want more people finding and loving it ;) this by far is one of my favorite local thrift shops. Love the variety and organization. The staff is always very friendly. Also a big fan of the cause they support
M. Kat: Love visiting this thrift store when I'm in the area to both donate items to and shop with. Supports shelter animals, well organized and great items and prices.
e Montalvo: I luv this spot always finding pieces to add to my expansive silver jewelry collection. My newest piece is a Ralph Lauren silver equestrian inspired bracelet. I have been looking for this piece on ebay and poshmark to no avail. It is absolutely gorgeous in person it shines very well and compliments have been raving about my thrift store prize.
Bill Albing: Nice size, clean, and well lit thrift store with a bit if everything. More books than I expected which was a pleasant surprise for me. Friendly cashiers.
Annette Dowdy: Awesome store! You can get a wide variety of clothing, books, household items, bedding, pet items, etc.
Han Stw: Great thrift store. The book section is very organized (by genres) which made it easy to browse through. They also have other items like clothings (although not a whole lot of men items), electronic appliances, knick knack, some furnitures, greeting cards and others. Proceeds go towards animal welfare nonprofits (Animalkind in Raleigh). Friendly staff members!
Lillian Overton: Like all thrift shope, it's like an Easter egg hunt, you never know what you will find. Good place.
Jeane Claudelle Rousselot: I would give it a two, and only raised it to a three because I'm hoping the majority of the money goes towards its cause for animals.
Daniel Payne: Amazing & helpful staff, was a wonderful experience! Would definitely recommend. One associate saw what I was purchasing and suggested a few items I hadn't seen. Huge plus! Will definitely be back.
Victzaida Valerio: Excellent store for shopping.
Darryl Cady: Went there yesterday, they had a flip the coin day heads 50 percent off tails 25 percent off good deal.
Gabriela Candia: The manager, cashiers and the whole staff is awesome!!! I have seen the same manager working for many years and he speaks Spanish and English! He is very helpful with all clients and I don't know why some people have to say bad things. Anyway, the store is fantastic and they are all excellent people. I have been coming to this store since my daughter was 6 years old and now she is 17 before it was located in another address and move more closer to my home. I continue coming back because it's one of the best thrift stores I've been to in Wake County!
Eric Reynolds: Attempted to go by during posted business hours. They were closed.
Miss Tee: Very nice and organized. Calendar is provided so you know what day to go to get a great deal. Will be revisiting again.
Karen Hare: Love this thrift store! Always good stuff and nice people.
John Barker: Love finding stuff and it's for a good cause great store 17 years old today
David Smith: Got stuff at 50% off today!
Gil Fdz: Lost of goods things you can find really good stuff ...you never know!
Gabriela Candia Perez: Great cause and excellent items in sale, they have bilinguals staff. Personal is friendly and very helpful
Yesica Alvarez: Bien caro todo ahi
Darrell D: Decent prices. Older lady there kept following me around the store asking if I was going to buy something. The item was in a Ziploc bag and she was telling me that she had to take it back because someone had broken the ziplock bag. Even though the bag had a zipper and could be opened regardless. She couldn't process that the bag opened so it didn't matter if the bag was torn.

A-Z Thrift Shop: what do users think?
Sal: Is always a pleasure to go here, this place is lovely and clean, the Ladies are super nice, found a lot of collectable items and fair prices
Kaitlyn Smith: I love this place so much! All of the ladies who work here are extremely friendly, and a delightful part of my visit every time I stop in.
Lynn Owens: Weekday morning. Door was propped open and people were walking in and out with stuff. I walked in and got shouted at “Get out!! We’re closed!!.” I guess the folks who were going in and out were stocking the shop. My mistake…but I really didn’t deserve to get yelled at.
D S: A-Z Thrift picked up some furniture and we’re very careful, grateful and excited for the donation. They also accepted boxed items too. I respect this thrift shop and it’s volunteers and highly recommend them.
Han Stw: Nice thrift shop with good selection of items (chinas, decorations, etc), however they don’t have much clothing options. Friendly staff!
Michelle Devine: Excellent choices for Christmas.
Daniel Payne: Friendly And Helpful Staff, Wide Selection And Great Prices. All Proceeds Are For Charity. I Have Only Visited Once But The Experience Was Lasting And Memorable. Will Definitely Be back! Pennie Went Above And Beyond. All Staff Are Volunteers But You Would Never Know It, They Are Helpful And Have A Wonderful Demeanor.
Blini Cat: If you're looking for fine China this is the place to go...but otherwise most of it is junk.
GreenieGirl: This place is never open when I'm able to stop.
Bill Albing: Lovely thrift store with a variety of nice items, variously priced.
Zakyya Kenny: They have a fantastic selection of items. The staff are lovely to speak to and helpful :)
taylor c: Expensive, underwhelming, always closed. Most importantly, meanest lady at the counter. Called my friend a “thing” to purposefully misgender them. You don’t call people “things,” regardless of your politics. Can’t think of worse customer service.
S: The pricing is outrageous. $24.99 for a pre-owned old (not current) J. Crew jacket. $20 for pre-owned Croft and Barrow (Kohls brand) shoes. Do yourself a favor and go to Goodwill for these items - Jacket $5.25 (includes tax) and Shoes $4.42 (includes tax).
Daniel Kren: Went inside this place at 3:01, didnt think any place would be closed at 3pm on a Friday. Lady screamed at me to get out of the store because they were closed, just nasty. Will never be back to this place again, no business should be screaming at people because they walk in at 3pm. What a joke.
Baron von Deals: Some prices same as eBay?! The nicest people work here
Whitney: Cute little shop. Mainly home goods, but they do have a small assortment of clothes and accessories. The shop was very clean, and well organized. Loved the large selection of books. :-)
Jamal Pretty: The employees here are nice and helpful. Hella good stuff, too.
Sean Reeve: Love this place! I felt safe shopping here. I always find something cool.
Nkem Okorie: I love this place! It's worthy of being supported!!
Brianna: loved everything about the thrift store! really nice vintage jewelry, games, and items in general, it is not heavy on clothes like most if that’s what you’re into!
Tina D: Cleanest thrift store and nice items for sale. Staff can be snooty.
