My only suggestion is that you move the store to a bigger location bc they could make GREAT use of it now that the ThinkGeek is gone to fill that collectibles gap. Also, pay the staff more and generally staff more so that the crush of customers on the weekends gets maximum return.
Kayla Champion: So I’ve always had a positive experience at this location but recently these guys helped me out so much that I just had to write a review. So long story short, I have TMJ, basically my jaw is in pain all the time and when I game with my over-ear head phones it really puts pressure on my jaw and causes me so much pain I usually can only play games for a couple hours before it hurts too much. I was casually talking with the guys working (I truly wish I remembered their names so sorry) when they mentioned the Atrix E-series pro wireless headset. They let me try a pair on and it was the lightest headset I have ever put on and could tell immediately that this wasn’t going to cause my jaw to flair up. I have literally gone through 10 different headsets (paid over 500 bucks trying different headsets) only to always have this issue. While they didn’t a pair at the store they could sell me they went the extra mile and let me know of every store in a 5 mile radius that had the E-series. I was able to pick one up and for the first time I was able to game without being in pain. The sound quality was amazing, and they only cost me 50 bucks. Sorry for such a long review but thank you guys so much for taking the time and going the extra mile. It truly has meant the world and I just can’t thank you enough.

Liquid Mercury: Got everything you need but you get bombarded with subscriptions you don't want at the end. Not the employees' fault, they just do as they're instructed to not lose their job. I wish they weren't forced to though and were instead encouraged to legitimately chat people up and not have the quotas to meet.

Dylan Christiano: I am so beyond thrilled with the team at this store. Both the associate, Xavier, and the manager (I believe he said his name was Jared?) we’re incredibly helpful. I had ordered a refurbished PS4 online as a Christmas present for my dad, but when it arrived the disc drive didn’t work. After several days of not being able to get through to the corporate customer service team, I went to several gamestops in the area and none of them could help me. The Brier Creek location was my last hope. Not only were they able to replace the console, they ensured I had everything I needed for my Dad’s Christmas present, they gave me some tips on how to avoid the situation in the future, and they were overall SO kind and helpful to me, a very frazzled and overwhelmed pregnant lady. I live all the way across town but I will only come to this location from now on - I’ve never experienced such attentive and awesome customer service before. They clearly care about their jobs, the store, their team, and their customers. I am so impressed and so thankful.

He remembers and personally greets the store regulars, as I observed on my first visit, and he has since done with me.He makes a point to understand the customers, our preferences and interests, to recommend games in a way that feels personal and not smarmy or salesy.On my visit today to pick up a copy of Pokémon Scarlet, he recalled my gameplay preferences and gave me a heads up about some gameplay mechanics in the game. He also made me aware of some minor frame rate lag reported in the newly released Pokémon games, and offered the protection plan to ensure that I was protected if I was unhappy with gameplay experience as a result. Skillfully done, again, this felt like a genuine gesture and NOT a hawkish upscale tactic.Every other game advisor at this location has been similarly friendly, informative, and helpful. With that being said the manager was the nicest one that I’ve encountered more in formidable and this will now be my current only go to GameStop in the area.

Toby: Called the store to see if they had a specific game, Sakuna. They were the last gamestop in the area to have it, and it was the last copy. They said they would put the game on hold for us as we were driving 30 minutes out just to see them. Okay awesome! Except it turns out we get to the store and they already sold that last copy to someone else. So the trip was a waste. Next time just say you can't put a game on hold if you're not going to.EDIT: Just found out that the game was bought just before they could hold our order. Which still really sucks. At that point we wish they would have called us right back to tell us before we drove all that way.

Black Beauty: I'm a lifetime gamer so I'm always at the store getting a new remote when I burn it out. I go into this location , with the controller and the cord and I'm told by I guess the staff member that is in transition (female to male )with dreadlocks that I could not get another controller because I didn't have a sticker or bag . And that is what the staff member in transitioning manager told them to say was policy whenever a customer has come in without the sticker or bag. Needless to say I called another location and they said that is not true. Most purchases can be looked up in the system . It can it just takes time sometimes because it can show up to two years of history but it is do able without a sticker.. I'm going to spend my money and time somewhere else where people take their time to help me.

Crazy knowledgeable about new releases and older games, as far as explaining the gameplay/story, so I can make an informed decision. And very nice/easy to talk to. I pre-ordered once from here and the game was ready for pickup as soon as the store opened in the morning, the day of release. Great job!

Gregory Potts: I purchased a new case for my son nintendo switch. I purchased the switch from the same location as the case. All this was purchased yesterday. The case did not secure the switch at all and wanted to exchange it for a better one (had receipt). I was told they are unable to take the case back because my 6yr old son didn't open the package correctly. They wouldn't be able to resale it due to package. The case is not damaged but the package is. Someone help me understand how the packaging is more important than the merchandise.

This has been my local gamestop for almost 4 years, but since I moved, I have not been able to come here as often as I normally have. Gregory Olson: Very large and professional card/hobby shop. Employees were very helpful. I am in Raleigh, NC for a conference and decided to stop in. Brought a 60 card MTG deck but no one was playing any 60 card formats. There were, however, plenty of people playing commander (I chatted with a few of them, nice people) as well as other games. I saw Battle Spirits Saga and what looked like 3 groups playing various types of tabletop RPGs. Like I said, there is plenty of space to play. Magic singles have to be ordered from their kiosk, which requires creating an account. The manager on duty was nice enough to let an out of town person like myself just grab a card, but expect to use the kiosk as it is how they track their inventory. The shop didn't have most of the singles I was looking for, but I also dont play commander, so that probably affects the meta of what they sort and have listed. Also was looking for some DnD figures but they were in-between restocking. All the employees there were super helpful and attentive. If I ever come back, I will definitely visit this place again and hope for some 60 card players to be present.
Jacob Myers: I keep coming to play commander on sunday which historically has been the commander day. Apparently that is no longer the case becuase they keep running 2-3 events that day causing all the tables to be taken. You cant even buy yugioh singles at the shop and some how that player base just gets to take over? The prices are high at GT but i never minded it before as it was a place i could always walk in and get in a few games. After being turn away at the again for the third time recently i cannot juatify driving all the way across town for a chance to play the most popular format in the most popular card gameThe staff are nice though
Trinket: Used to come here every week to play mtg commander on Sundays but they have basically driven us out by planning other events for the same time so all the tables are always taken. I've gone from going every week to maybe once a month, to i literally have no reason to come here at all because they don't support my game anymore and thier events are expensive anyway. Love traveling 25+ minutes to go to a scheduled commander day to get turned away at the door because there no space because they're hosting another event. I have no reason to come here anymore.
Gaio Doria: This is the place to go if you need miniatures, cards, board games, books. It is a geek landmark of Raleigh. In my opinion the best hobby store around the triangle.
Baffling Science: Great place to play TTRPGs. Welcoming environment and friendly staff. They have a great selection of games, dice, cards, and player pieces.

(special shout-out to david) Trade in rates for my mtg singles were excellent. After my visit they gave me so many free gifts (playmat, dice, promo cards) and gave me a permanent 10% off discount for all of my future purchases. No other game store has ever made me feel so appreciated like this before. This is hands down the best game store I’ve been to, good job guys :)
