Triangle Shooting Academy: what do users think?
Lee Edwards: This place is fantastic! I went one day after work with a friend to shoot. She had not shot in many years. Since it had been almost 20 years since she last shot, a range officer was there to make her comfortable and teach her. I was so impressed, I brought my son a few days later to learn to shoot for his first time. He loved it!! After shooting, we had a great lunch at the restaurant. The staff was kind and patient and the food was amazing. We will be spending much more time there in the future. A great place to spend time with friends and family!
Harrison Frank: While it seems as though it is a professionally run business, comparing prices of firearms and ammunition to other gun shops, and online, this place should be avoided from a buyers aspect. A case of 1,000 9mm standard brass cased ammunition costed about $360 here while you could go on ammoseek online and buy almost the exact same thing for about $215.
Aaron Weisenborn: Justin and team have been awesome to work with! I am preparing to relocate and had an item stuck in ATF jail. I explained my issue to Justin and minutes later it was magically approved. These guys are the best in the business!
Felpex 243: Amazing
Gabriel Bloch: Unintelligent lady who doesn’t know much about guns when asked a simple size question about a glock refused to sell us ammo when our younger sibling that we brought along didn’t have an ID. He is also under 18, and was also not the one purchasing the ammo, just along for the trip.
Steven M: I became a member a while back. I have received excellent service and advice from everyone I have met at TSA. I am very impressed with the whole sha-bang.I am not without some experience, 11 years in the Army. Competed on the Army Rifle and Pistol team from 1968 to 1979, but sold every weapon I owned in 1983. It has been 40 years almost to the day since I picked up a handgun .Last Friday I took a class from Richard and I have to say...I learned a great deal...he had me hitting the 10 ring more than times than I missed. Not too bad for really old geezer.I am amazed how much the game has changed since I was thinking I was good...
Charlie Counselman: Great place, very professional and friendly staff. Good range and good store also. Very safe and well run.
Scott Sternkopf: Best range I've ever been too. Extremely knowledgeable and friendly staff, clean and well lit range with good ventilation, safety taken seriously, and first rate instruction in the classes they offer. Can't recommend enough
M c: Great facility, knowledgeable staff
Yifang Zhu: Very fun and interesting
Luis Peña: Soy Latino y tengo mi pasaporte, me encantaría vivir la experiencia, puedo asistir ??Por favor infórmenme
Manfred Wise: I bought a rather expensive BRAND NEW pistol from these guys. When I opened it after I got home, the top of the barrel was extremely worn and I swear it didnt look like that when I checked it in store. Maybe thats why they were in the back for so long. Not sure what happpened, but they shouldnt have sold the gun like that. Barrel looks used, while the rest of the gun looks new. I live a couple hours away so it's not like I can go right back. I'll go straight to sig to see if I can get it remedied. I'll never go back. That's just shady.
Katy Willett: My son wanted me to practice using my gun. So off we went. The place is an interesting mix of people who are really, really into guns and complete novices such as myself. Happily son is a member, because on Saturday afternoons there is a long line of people waiting and members have a priority line. The place is very busy on Saturdays and could use more sales people. The gun range person was very helpful with showing me proper grip techniques. If you are new, be prepared for the smell (sort of a mix of car and fireworks smell) and the loudness (even with ear cover a gentleman was renting a very loud subsonic gun). My ammunition was very reasonably priced.
Madison Barnes: I recently purchased a firearm at TSA and was assisted by Jacob Woodburn. As someone who had initial hesitations and a load of questions, Jacob helped me feel informed and comfortable in my decision/purchase. He’s great and I will absolutely be coming back to visit Jacob with any further purchases. I love that they offer a women’s program as well. Overall great experience!
Mari Custodio: Very modern with great customer service
Clyde Stinson: Great place to shoot and shop for guns. Friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Trae “TH1NTON” Hinton: Update: the owner reached out and resolved the issue so changing to 5* triangle is a nice facility but this situation I had to bring to their attentionI was just at triangle earlier this evening around 17:10 est to check out a couple guns. As I was leaving there was a group of guys a few had been there a bit earlier and one guy showed up late. I know the rules are the last shooters will be taken an hour before the range closes but who ever the range safety officer was at the front desk that was yelling at them that they couldn’t shoot your behavior completely abhorrent and I would never step foot back in this establishment again. He wasn’t ever speaking to me and I felt uncomfortable. I saw the gentlemen outside and recommended a different range. The level of customer service provided by that RSO was abysmal, if you’re going to speak to people for being late like that to come shoot how do you expect me to trust you on the range.
Will G.: I really like this place. I have had nothing but good interactions with the Range Safety Officers. They have always been very helpful along with the rest of the staff. Feels like a very safe place to shoot. Nice rental selection.
Daniel C: Went to Triangle Shooting academy to purchase 1000rds of 9mm and Holosun 507k. They were out of stock on the Holosun but had the 9mm. So then I grabbed a box of 1000rds of 9mm for 350$ and headed to the closest register. I stood there for 10mins waiting on someone to check me out or even speak to me. No one ever did speak to me until I was walking to put the ammunition back. I had already made up my mind that I wasn’t purchasing 1000rds of 9mm after the wait. I’d rather drive back to my home town and spend my money at the gun shop that I was loyal to, it’s an hour away than deal with with type of customer service. This was around 8pm on Tuesday May 9th. So they were not very busy however there seemed to be 3 employees admiring a ghost grey/blue used firearm(Barret Rec 7 I believe), but couldn’t take the time to speak to me or check me out. If everything was in stock k and I received even decent customer service I would have spent over 600$ tonight, I left empty handed.
Olympus_Travel: Great local range + shop! Knowledgeable staff, great benefits for MEMBERS, and always a clean facility. The RSO are always willing to give tips and help correct safety issues or just generally give advice for shooting.
Just_The_Fax: TSA offers a huge selection of guns for sale and rent. They also have one of the larger selection of NFA items in stock which is also nice. The range staff is very professional but if you plan to go shooting on the weekend get there early because they get busy quick. Accessories prices are very competitive with what you can find online and they have a very large selection, but ammo prices are on the high side.

Very knowledgeable, very clean and organize, great equipment, personal very friendly and willing, great location(even that is a little far from us-once again, worth the drive). Reasonable and affordable prices, and very modern facilities. We will be coming back for sure!
Dakota Lane: Everyone is nice and informative. Full auto rentals are also amazing.

Anakin Skywalker: Always friendly staff, facility is top notch. Went twice and decided to be a member. Had an issue with my gun today and coach Swede helped me diagnosed the issue, which was due to my grip. Even more, he give me a box of free 10mm ammo. Will visit often

They offered assistance promptly and with a friendly demeanor. The range itself was clean and well-maintained. Personal Defense & Handgun Safety Center Inc.: what do users think?
Ray Bostancioglu: Everything overpriced, customer service is a joke it seems as if they don’t want your business !
Kanye Bagley: Staff are rude prices are over high I would not recommend spending your money there at all
Joe Gambino: This place and staff are a joke, don’t waste your time or money. Plenty of other stores and ranges around that respect their customers with way better prices than this clown factory.
Sal: I was a new customer. I went a couple of times to shoot. I've always been a fan of revolvers. Yesterday I wanted to buy my first semi-automatic. I wanted to rent one from them first to understand how to use it. The older gentleman rudely answered me no, and with the younger man they started making fun of me. They said things like: "today we don't want your money," and, "take it easy with that revolver". It was extremely disrespecful. I was mortified. The only person who was kind was a young lady. I won't be back. I'm going to spend my money with someone else who respects and appreciates their customers.
Earl J Manley Jr: Prices are crazy high no help an the show room was not organized an when someone came in an asked for help with getting a ccw the guy was very rude an told the guy to just pay him $110 an come back next mouth an take the class
JD Roberts: Wonderful place. Great selection of guns and ammunition. Knowledgeable staff to assist all levels of shooters.
Pat C: The pricing here is out of control. The cost of ammo is 2x what I can get it for online or at other stores. Anyone who buys ammo here is clueless and getting ripped off. There's no need to profit that much on ammo when you have range services, firearms sales, and accessories, etc. Up-charging basic common ammo is like drink restricted places up-charging for water bottles. Ridiculous.
Tom DeVane: Cant shoot rifles there and the reasoning was dumb. Theyre afraid the shockwaves will break the plexiglass windows 15 feet behind the lanes. Also the staff isnt the brightest. Only 2 stars for decent price on a scar 17 i bought
herbert almengor: I have been a customer of PDHSC since 2015 and all their staff is absolutely fantastic and friendly and they go the extra mile every time. Love them over there please visit them and give them your business.
Rob Messer: The guys at the shop went above and Beyond to help me get my handgun back after accidentally leaving it in a hotel room during a recent stay in Raleigh. I called and explained what happened and within hours they had my handgun and had it back to my local dealer fast. I highly recommend Personal Defense & Handgun Safety as they are still one of the few that go out of there way to help the 2A community and my deepest gratitude goes out to them.
April Jackson: I was welcomed and had all my questions answered.
dj reddick: Customer service was off they act as if they didn’t want to sale gun even though everything on my end was straight vibe was ignorant but gun shoots good
Tyrell WestBrooke: The staff there were predatory selling inventory without answering any questions from customers. 1 gentleman who came in with his lady friend got made fun of for using steel cased ammo. Very unprofessional and rude
Mark Holloway: sold me a junk ruger lcp lite rack
Tiffany Bauza: Went earlier this afternoon to purchase my first handgun and the process was simple and easy I was there no longer then 10-15 minutes and the guy at the front counter was super cool so I came back later on that afternoon to purchase another handgun from him. I will be coming back again! Thank you guys
Jay Huh: First time at a range and I’m clearly new. Brought my AR and 2 glocks. Very helpful in explaining the rules. Can’t shoot the AR there unless you’re a member but shot my glock and it was great.
David Johnston: By far the worst service in the triangle
Will Brimley: Great staff. Awesome place to test out my new toys
Christopher Gilliam: Been shopping here since I was old enough to buy long guns (18) and I'm now a few months from 36. They are all very knowledgeable and willing to make sure you get the firearm that fits your needs.
Shawn Magee: SUPER FANTASTIC!!!!!! These guys stocked a impossible and quick shipped, in under a week, a Commander Shot Timer, it's a 10 week wait from the manufacturer, these guys have the timer in stock. Trustworthy and quick shipping.
Ray Robinson: I got a AR 12 .. loved tank u guys

Rene Martinez: Called emailed and texted this person and got one reply saying power went out at the office and was working from home. Never heard from him again. If they didn’t have power at the store why would I get a text from Tony himself telling me he’d be working from home. He never told me his power went out at his home only his business. I have texts to prove it. People do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
allison barlow: I highly recommend Tony! My boyfriend and I did the concealed carry class and it was so great! I learned so much and he was so informative!! I’m so impressed that I plan on taking future classes with him. Was so great and would take again.
Jamaal Scott: Tony is the best trainer. I never really shot a gun before my concealed carry class but after one day with Tony teaching me how to aim, I hit the majority of my shots in the middle. He was patient and now I feel confident I can protect my family. Plus he took us to Eagle1, the only Black owned gun range in the Triangle. Highly highly recommended!!!
Beth G: Tony is amazing!! Me and my 14 years old son have done private lessons with him. He is an excellent instructor. He made our lessons informative and fun. He goes beyond just teaching. I also finished my conceal carry class with him. Whatever state of shooting you are at, I highly recommend you go to Tony. He will give you the confidence in handling your weapon.
Derwin Holland: Tony was awesome! I enjoyed attending his class. He's very friendly and knowledgeable and he also made the class fun. I highly recommend!
Shanna Allen: Tony was great! He made the class fun even with all the information thrown at you. Would highly recommend!
Kayla Augustine: All of the 5 star reviews are true! He is a wonderful, funny, and kind instructor. He was helpful to all and made us feel welcome. I strongly recommend his class to anyone who is willing to learn and improve, especially anyone who might be newer when it comes to self-protection like I was. I am thankful to Tony for all he does!
Bryce Kennedy: Wow! Tony is a fantastic instructor and made the class really fun and enjoyable. It was really impressive how he actually made the laws interesting to learn. I would highly recommend everyone take your conceal carry class with him!
Will S: Seriously, this is the best concealed carry class in Raleigh. Tony strikes a great balance of treating the material with the seriousness that it requires while simultaneously using humor and making the class fun. I was expecting to be bored for 8 hours but I really enjoyed it. If I take any future self defense related classes it will definitely be here.

Todd Coleman: Just finished Tony's Concealed Carry Certification Class class and it was excellent. Tony covered all of the state requirements making sure we are were of the responsibilities that accompany having a CCH. He injected personal reflections into the course based upon his many years of experience in law enforcement that kept it interesting and relevant. I highly recommend this for anyone seeking a CCH.
paris bryant: Tony's class was great and he is very knowledgeable about the subject matter. He presents the information in a way that is both engaging and comprehensible. You can tell he cares about each student and is passionate about providing information necessary to safely operate a handgun and protect yourself. I will definitely be recommending him to family and friends.
Philip Clark: I took the concealed carry class with Tony and was impressed with his ability to present information in a way that is completely understandable to a novice. He is passionate about what he teaches and uses real life examples to make the material easier to learn. I would recommend this class to others.
ZACHARY NEELEY: I just moved to NC from out of state. Reading i had to take an 8+hr C&C class was not something i wanted to know. I did a lot of looking around at price mainly and i found Tony's class. After going through the class, i cannot say enough about how happy i was to be in his class. Not only did i learn things i thought i already knew from already having a C&C from my previous state, Tony made the class fun. It was not a super strict class from a boring a person. This class was educational and fun. Tony is a great teacher and i would recommend ANYONE needing to take a Conceal and Carry course, sign up with Tony. You learn the NC gun laws, education about gun safety and also how to properly shoot your weapon.
