Rachel Nosacka: Service was really really lacking. There only 10-15 guests total while we were there yet our server rarely came by. We ordered a second round of drinks that never came and watched the bar tenders on their phone or just standing- clearly the server hadn't passed along our drink orders. When we tried to flag her down to our table for the ticket she ignored us. When we finally went to the bar to pay for our 1 round of drinks she stood with her back to us talking to the bartender ignoring us while the 2nd bartender was on her phone ignoring us. mind you this is a very small room. You have to work to not notice what's going on around you. Then she finally gave us the ticket with 2 round of drinks on it. When we said that we never got our second round she tried to argue with us. The atmosphere was great and music was good. The drinks we got were very tasty. We we're planning to bring our friends but changed our minds. Do not want to deal with this kind of service again for the price.

Lindsay Harris: We had the pleasure of visiting The Green Light while in town for a special occasion. It did not disappoint! It had a very cool vibe beginning with the bookcase entrance followed by the cool, speakeasy setting once inside. The cocktails are fabulous and the bartender and manager (Justin and Reid) were very helpful with recommendations as well as exceptional hospitality. We definitely recommend visiting if you get the chance as we will if we are back in town!
Colleen B: Forever my go-to place for: taking out of town guests, date night, low key girls night, after dinner night cap, pre-dinner cocktail, or just a quiet respite right after your work day. I recommend coming during the week and early as it can get quite busy, crowded and loud. Very small space, tucked behind a bookcase, the cocktail list is always giving major craft vibes and nearly all of them can be adjusted based on preferences. Often, the bartender will give fantastic recommendations based on your preferences and desires. Speaking of staff, that's really my main reason for knocking off a star. The staff is either really great and or not. It feels like when I go, even when they're not busy, I either get a bartender that is engaging or ambivalent and bored.

Carol Matthews: Used to be fun because you had to hear about it from someone that knew it was there. And there was no host stand so you just had to know how to enter. The bar tender had time to talk to you and find out what you typically drink to make a good suggestion. Now, they're so busy they just want you to order and get on. No longer a hidden gem!

Heather Beann: Love the speak easy vibe. The staff was exceptional, as well as the Bees Knees. Basically a lemon drop shot, a drink I have never been fond of, has a subtle sweetness to it because of the honey. Making it a much better drink to enjoy. The cozy environment that it gives off is similar to the Great Gastby novel, making it great for an intimate night out. Do not bring a first date here, though. Your experience might be different than mine, in high hopes that it is, but it is too comfortable of a place to bring someone you just met. Thank you, Green Light, for a new place for me to come back to and enjoy.

Zee: Watts & Ward is a unique place for drinks. It had multiple rooms to sit down and have a drink. I like the vibe with leather couches and unique rustic wooden tables. Watts & Ward also had live music certain days. Definitely recommend if your meeting friends for drinks or just to hangout.
Falan E: I visited Watts & Ward for the first time Sunday evening after 6 pm. The staff at the entrance was welcoming. Watts & Ward is downstairs in a basement-like space. Cute space with vintage aesthetics which is very nice and comfortable with plenty of seating. The overall aesthetics of the space and comfortability is a 4*. A few things on the patio seemed out of place but overall a nice space.This particular evening the bartender in The Mud Room demeanor was not friendly, or enthusiastic. That individual didn't demonstrate good customer service warranting anything over an overall 3* based on my experience. Even the person cleaning off the table didn't engage any.I had a Hendricks mule, not in a mule cup. The lemon and ginger were overpowering - way too much carbonation. I like that I get more bang for my buck in the tall glass but as a courtesy, the bartender could share they don't carry the copper mules. This would've leveled up the experience. For me, a copper mule cup is necessary for a proper Moscow Mule.Customer service usually inspires me to return places but in this case, it's the space and others who have enjoyed themselves. I hope to return for the comedy night in the future, hopefully, a better experience.
Mariss: Watts & Ward is a unique 1920’s themed speakeasy style bar located on S. Blount St in downtown Raleigh situated in the basement of the Montague building. It features 4 bars, The Mud Room, Main Bar, Patio & Library. I have visited twice now and enjoy the grown & sexy vibe and diverse mature crowd here. The staff whom I’ve interacted with appear to enjoy their place of work and take pride in that. I visited recently on a Sunday when service was slower during the holiday and this evening for comedy night. The service was excellent tonight, the bartenders were very friendly and bar service was offered while seated. I’ve ordered the Far East Ricky with Tanqueray Gin, Lime, Cucumber, Mint and a Egg White and the Penicillin with Johnnie Walker Red Label, Ginger, Honey, Lemon, Islay Scotch and enjoyed both. I love the classic jams they play as well. Good music. Ryan who worked the door tonight urged me to return for live jazz on Thursday.I really enjoy how the Prohibition and Roaring 20’s vibe is carried throughout the venue. It makes you feel like you flew off a page of the Great Gatsby. This venue is huge and features a beautiful garden patio. I look forward to returning for the live Jazz night, patio and more comedy.

Andrea Martin: This is a bit hidden and you wouldn’t know it was there if not for the tables outside. Go down the stairs into the bar space that has a great feel- to include exposed brick walls.Creative craft cocktails and there is a constant flow of people in and out- if you are at a table- just share. The cocktails are delicious and you can expect to see one’s that are outside the norm. I love that they always ID (at the top of the stairs) even when there is no question as to legal ability to drink.

Very small and intimate. Extremely fitting for the spaces I enjoy.Foundation is tucked away downstairs in a basement-like space.Very easy to overlook.We dropped in for a nightcap.I ordered The Eastside as the bartender suggested. Very good. The bartenders are top-tier and highly experienced. All around good drinks and laid back atmosphere where I enjoyed being in the moment, so much so that I forgot to snap a photo of the menu. It appeared to change, as there were many specialty craft cocktail options. I look forward to coming back soon.
James Wohlrab: Love this bar! Every cocktail seems so intricate and well thought. I wish I could try them all. The beer selection was eclectic, yet all local. I couldn’t decide on a drink, so I had the bartender make me something from the new menu. I forgot the name, but it was perfect. Not too sweet, and nice and fruity. Everyone there seems to know their stuff.The bar itself is underground on Fayetteville Street. It’s not too large, and it did get busy around 10pm, so be prepared to wait or grab a drink and sit outside.Definitely a must try for locals and visitors alike. Will be back anytime I’m downtown.

To find it, look for the red neon sign at ground level + take the steps down! The exposed brick gives it a very speakeasy vibe and the drinks do not disappoint. They are known for their Old Fashioned but they also have a unique variety of craft cocktails!TIP: arrive early on the weekends because there will be a line or be prepared to wait! (But it’s worth it)

Chefs Wild: Small but mighty in the bourbon world, this spot boasts an incredible collection of both modern and historical spirits including pre-Prohibition bottles. House made syrups and knowledgeable bartenders round out a great experience.

The Blind Barbour is definitely a spot to visit and is highly recommended!

Danica Thomas: Excellent bartenders! Fantastic service, and the best drinks we had all night during our bar crawl! They were also generous with the water, which I really appreciated since a lot of bars scoff at you when you ask for water! They had great music and a good atmosphere.We even saw that the light was on for the Green Light Bar (representing the green light at the end of Daisy Buchanan's dock in "The Great Gatsby"). Four members of our party were able to head back to the mini bar behind the bookcase, and ordered even more fabulous cocktails in a quaint little space holding perhaps enough seating for 20 people.
Tori Barker: Had such an amazing time! We got our drinks pretty quickly, the staff was super nice and the drinks were good. The music was good, there was plenty of room to dance and also plenty of seating options. Will definitely be returning in the future!
Elaine Manabat: First time going here with my husband during our date night. The place was empty I guess coz it was early. The bartenders were excellent, the atmosphere was great. We asked about the greenlight room which I heard about from a coworker. One of the bartenders was kind enough to give us a little peak inside. We've never experienced this much interaction with the bartenders before, maybe because it wasn't busy yet that time. We appreciated the time they took for us. Will be coming back next date night for sure.
Isa Frias: I had such an amazing time at the green light bar! Very unique and chill experience. The most amazing was meeting Jobani! She was really outgoing and funny! She showed me around the architect bar and educated me on the rental details for a party… What I absolutely LOVED was Jobani’s personality, makeup and ensemble! She rocked it and we all were admiring her beauty! I love to go places where the host is a doll and a hoot 😂 Will most definitely return just for her!

Chandra Jennings: I'm so glad to have a local and lovely cocktail bat within walking distance of my home! Flask is tucked away in a strip mall across from Planet Fitness and attached to V Pizza. I walked in and was not so warmly greeted by the bartender, but he made me an amazing cocktail in the Ben Smashed. Ben is a whiskey base with a hint of peach and mint all muddled together for a refreshing cocktail. It's just the right hint of sweet and savory. I could definitely have a couple more, but I stopped at one.Absolutely loving their outdoor space filled with tables and umbrellas. It was such a wonderful night to sit and read as the sun went down. I can see coming here again and trying another cocktail. Hopefully, the bartender will be warmer next time?!?

Logan Williams: This is a neat little spot, but the service was not great nor were the drinks. For a cocktail bar, I expected better drinks. Drinks are a premium price but not very flavorful or balanced. It was pretty busy when we went, and it took a long time to get someone to take our order. There was an extremely intoxicated person that was falling over and incredibly loud, and they continued to serve him more alcohol. Maybe an off night, but I was not impressed. Lots of potential though.

Dilan B: I went here for the first time with a friend on Monday and then last night with my girlfriend. The food is what gives this review at least a 3 star. Their pizzas are very tasty, alongside the cocktails. While prices are expensive, that would not be an issue if it were not for the service. Both times we had some of the worst service I have ever received in the Raleigh area. Mind you it was a different bartender and V Pizza server the two times I went. The employees never once greeted us or acted friendly. It was as if they hated being there and giving customer service. In fact each time I was the one who asked how their nights were going to which the reply was always something along the lines of “fine.” They never even cared to ask us. Please hire folks who want to be there (this is coming from a current bartender and former server by the way).

Chris Evans: Flask is a great little cocktail bar with inventive recipes that they are always updating. There are several talented bartenders. We normally see Rico, but all are great. There is often live music on an outside patio and a large windowed door rolls up to make the whole place open air when the weather is nice. They are next to a great little pizza place and you can order anything off the restaurant menu from the bar.
Josh A.: The service was poor.. me and my friends where judged the moment when sat down .. My friend order herself an margarita with Don Julio 1952 the first thing the bartender says “you know that’s topself, I want to make sure you know because if you take it down and make and drink I’m gonna be mad”.. That was a completely inappropriate comment to make of course we going pay for our drinks.. This is the first bad experience I’ve had in brier creek since living in the area.

Renetta Hester: This was my first visit at Flask. Arrived and sat down at table with no acknowledgment for 15 minutes. Moved to the bar and additional 10 minutes and no staff acknowledgment. My husband placed drink order and we received our drinks nobody ever came back to ask if we wanted food or another round. I would not recommend coming here . I don’t know how they were rated number one. They should get zero for customer service. Had wait to even pay and leave. A waste of time!
Bryan Carlton: Flask is a really cool place but avoid on Thursday night at ALL costs. The DJ on Thursday is unbearable. Not the music selection but the volume is unbelievably loud for a small space. Met friends there Thursday night but left without ordering drinks solely because of the DJ’s volume.

The small bar was mostly filled with folks (bartenders?) talking shop with the bartender who was obviously well respected by the folks at the bar. Gin and tonic and bartender’s choice dirty martini were both lovely. Several local bartenders have recommended Aunty Betty’s for craft cocktails and I was definitely not disappointed and will comeback soon.

Stephen Fernandez: Pretty rare music and cocktail experience conveniently located downtown, with knowledgeable and professional staff. They like to be a little upscale, but they'll let you in with your t-shirt if you didn't get the memo. If you arrive late on the weekend and there is a line that's not on them!

It was Jazz Jam so it was fun to see all the various musicians come up and just play like they’d been playing together for years.
