REI: what do users think?
KW: I recently joined the cyclist life style, so I made a pit stop at REI Six Forks to pick up some equipment for my new bike. I was greeted with a smile and received white glove treatment. Kira assisted me along the way with product recommendations as she is an avid cyclist. She was amazing, and I appreciate the time she took to explain the purpose/value of certain equipment. I appreciate the excellent service at this location and will be back in the near future.
Brian Ratti: Probably the worst REI location for mens clothing. Looking for mens hiking shirts, I managed to find less than 10 total, excluding the REI. Same issue with shorts.
chan ham: Friendly staff and excellent location. However, my brompton was not ready as email and forgotten. Make sure you call to see your order status rather than just trusting email notifications.
Christopher Sanderford: They have it if you need it for your outdoor experience. Just be prepared to hunt parking due to being at the mall
Kayla: I am very delayed to getting this review up, but I wanted to give a special shout out to Reid, Lilly, and Beck. You guys were all so welcoming and warm which was very much needed for the time I was experiencing. Reid especially did an amazing job setting me up for success in order to live comfortably out of my car. He was very thoughtful and kept my best interests in mind when showing me around the store and picking out what I would and would not need. I’ve been to many REI stores and am a member, I can full heartedly say that this team fully exemplifies what I have come to benchmark as the REI experience and why I will only ever go to this outdoor store. You all showed me a kindness during a dark time in my life which I will never forget. Thanks again for providing both the products and knowledge I needed to be safe on the road.
Jonathon Cesaro: As always very knowledgeable friendly staff.
H. Gutierrez: GREAT store, very nice staff, and a good long-distance hiking class
James Willcox: Unparalleled customer service and customer care. Knowledgeable staff committed to helping customers not just selling products. REI is committed to the ecological balanced partnership between people and the enjoyment of the outdoors.
Summer Hedges: We picked up a roof box that we ordered online. The team members encouraged us to park at the loading dock, helped us open the box, inspect for any issues, and walked us through installation and gave us a lot of tips for use. So friendly and helpful, even on a busy weekend day. If we had to figure it out on our own, I am sure it would take 3 times as long! This will enable us to take an awesome trip with our pups later this month!
Patrick Dalton: Friendly and attentive staff, very helpful!
Lifting Covered: I’m sharing my experience in case it helps others. I’m sure it didn’t help that. This is the first time I’ve ever been into this mixed use development area and it was nice weather on a Saturday, hence very crowded.I ordered a bike rack to pick up from this location. It took me some effort to figure out where to park, and my only option was the parking garage. For pick up, you need to stand in line for the regular checkout counter. When it was my turn, the associate was able to locate the rack and because of the size it was on a dolly. I asked if I am able to bring my car because I parked in the garage. The situation was new for them so they said I should be able to park in the curbside pick up spot and not get towedIf you do this, be prepared to go back inside to get your item, load it and then bring the dolly back to them. Next time I’ll either do curbside or go to another location that’s more easily accessible.
Ca'ren Hudson: I came in for what I called my “hiking starter pack” and each and every employee I talked to was beyond helpful. Want to give a special shout-out to Cameron, Morgan & Beck who helped me find my pack and my shoes. I can’t wait to keep coming back!
Joel Oliver: Always helpful staff. And love the dividend
Luis Suarez: Loved that the team took the time to help me find the right size boots. Great customer service.
J Greens (therealjgreens): Several super friendly people here. Great experience.
Michael Shanken: Neat store with anything you need to enjoy the outdoors. Hiking, camping, biking, rock climbing, whatever you need, they have it. Friendly staff are always willing to help. This location is 2 stories, but there is an elevator in addition to the stairs.
Michael Saunders: Great customer service
Alison Williams: Had to exchange an item and Jack was so helpful and so accommodating during the transaction. I always have a good experience here.
Muniba Khan: This was my first time at REI and I had a great experience. We came to get hiking shoes/boots before an upcoming trip to Asheville. We knew absolutely nothing about hiking shoes and the staff was so incredibly helpful and spent a lot of time with us explaining the different options and technologies in the shoes. I left as a new REI member and with a pair of shoes I'm really excited about!
Tyler Satterwhite: Stick to selling outdoor equipment and chill with politicized marketing and branding.
Sarah Matthews: This location has the most helpful and friendly staff. Great selection, too.

Trek Bicycle Raleigh Holly Park: what do users think?
Chris G: I am very pleased with my new Trek dual sport, so much fun to ride. But what I am most impressed with is the friendly, excellent service I received at Trek Bicycle Raleigh Holly Park. It has been 21 years since I have ridden a bicycle. Matt spent a lot of time with me, explaining everything in easy-to-understand detail, covering everything from accessories to how to mount the bike and change gears....I had forgotten so much! And Cole was so helpful, quickly and expertly installing all of the accessories I purchased. I am so impressed with the service I received at Holly Park! Although it is almost a 2 hour drive from my home in Washington NC, I will definitely be a regular customer there.
Holly Sullenger: This store has super helpful staff and great products. If you enjoy biking, this is the store for you!
Shaun Martin: Great products, knowledgeable staff both on purchase and servicing optionsHighly recommended
Greg Morgan: Greg MorganProduct: My Trek mountain bike was my first performance end bike purchase, having settled for lower end bikes previously. After one year of riding on various trails and terrain, I am still amazed by the bike's performance and ease of use. I don't believe that I could have tackled some of the trails that I have with any of my previous bikes.Services: The staff at my local Trek store have been both attentive and informative across multiple visits. From my initial visit being able to test ride multiple models to tailoring my pick to fit my size and style, I have been grateful for the experience.
Corey Gomes: Shoutout to Matt and the team - they were great to work with.
Jay Chambers: Needed help with new cycle shoes and SPD cleat installment. Matt and his associate were extremely helpful and kind. Took their time with me... a first time customer. Did not charge me for their expertise. Will definitely return!
Tom O'Brien: I purchased two E-Bikes (Versa 3) a year ago and the Bikes are truly amazing. What really sets the Trek Bicycle Raleigh Holly Park store apart is the outstanding customer service and feeling of genuine helpfulness that you feel and receive from the first moment you walk in the shop. So here I am a year later and the excellent customer service and helpfulness is still alive and well. I received a recall notice from Trek corporate that various bike models may have an issue with the brakes and it should be addressed asap. I contacted the Holly Park store and was connected to the service manager, Joel. He was outstanding and very accommodating in so much that he arranged for my two bikes to picked up from home, confirmed my brakes were not impacted from the recall, he had a Level 1 service performed on the bikes and the bikes were delivered back into my home garage by 5pm the same day! I also want to give a shout out to Donovan the service tech who picked/delivered the bikes, he as very knowledgeable as well as quite personable. Selling/buying a bike is one thing, but it’s the after market support and outstanding customer support that really makes this Holly Park store and it’s staff stand out!. If you’re looking for any kind of bike upgrade/service/purchase do check these guys out and see what real friendly customer service is all about! 👍
Cameron: Let’s not forget that this place turned into a communist concentration camp during Covid! Appointments only, only allowed one group into the building at a time, treated all customers very poorly, asked you why you were here and wasn’t wanting to help customers. I went to REI and bought my bikes because they still treated customers decently.
Jon Velez: Great customer service from the reps here. They answered all our questions and got my wife setup with bike that she loves.
Jessica Rose: Great service technicians - I've been using these same guys for years and they always do a great job on my bikes :)
Jeremy Ellender: Knowledgeable and helpful staff. With every purchase, a sales associate will explain the product, installation, and address any questions. Great customer service!
ken nowell: Matt was very helpful in making my tire and shoe selections. He obviously is much more than a store employee but and avid rider than can speak knowledgeably about products sold in the store. 100% will return!
Ian Yeager: Awesome store, great people, super helpful, unrushed experience and made sure I was getting what I needed.
Brian: Always friendly and knowledgeable service in repair shop here, rare nowadays and much appreciated
Paul Crockett: Great selection and great staff. The employees have been helpful every time I've been here, and even though I had an issue once with being given an incorrect part, the manager went above and beyond to make things right.
Ramon Levine: Friendly and knowledgeable staff. They run some group rides from there. Just bought a bike for my wife from the store. She loves it.
Teresa Gore: Your people/staff are your best offerings. No matter which location I use, they seem to sincerely desire to help. They're engaging, attentive, and are just nice, friendly and easy to talk with people. Good job, TREK Bicycle, at having great teams all over the Triangle area. Special shout out to Lea, Veronica, Joel and Matt for going over and beyond to help our TIFL athletes prepare for their very first triathlon. ~Teresa C.
Patrick Marrow: Trek holly park treats me like a KING. Great people to deal with about bicycle issues.
Anthony Patrick Sibayan: Staff are very accommodating and easy to transact with..Bicycles and related products are of very good quality and reasonably priced..
Ed Karjala: I am new to the area and I walked in for the first time in and was greeted by friendly and helpful people. The shelves were stocked up nicely with what I needed and the service was top notch. Can't wait to visit again soon!
C L: Super friendly and helpful. Excellent service department

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Omar L.: The only thing I can complain about is that they have a very limited variety for some items. For example: youth tennis shoes, indoor soccer shoes, Nike tees.
Madison Callahan: My boyfriend went for a club fitting and honestly the $100 was worth just meeting Kenny and the fitting was like a bonus. Kenny was exceptional at his job and truly a ray of sunshine. He was professional and knowledgeable and all around a stand up guy. Whatever you’re paying him, triple it.
Ileah: Cameron (loves bowling) has wonderful customers service skills. They were very polite, attentive, and helpful. Very pleasant demeanor and was able to help me make an exchange quickly and easily while still checking out other customers when needed.Great customer service is really hard to come by these days so I want to take the time to acknowledge people like Cameron. They deserve the recognition and a raise.Wonderful experience. Definitely would return to this location.
Keith Nelson: This Dick’s location is great. Staff is friendly
Brad Gold (NCNYChief): They have a lot of stuff in the store with golf since I believe they team with golf Galaxy. I go there for hockey equipment which is hit or miss. I just went to see if they had any equipment for hockey and there was none. I guess it's seasonal but still there should be at least a small section which there is not. Overall though, you can certainly get most anything in relation to sports. The prices are at the higher end for sure and if you go to some smaller sports stores you may be able to get a better deal on things. Overall, it's a good experience.
Anthony Alatis: Really big golf selections...knowledgable staff at the golf club repair area
J C: Great store…. Lot’s of good brands
Colby Thomas: ****Dick’s, Please address this concern immediately!****I would absolutely recommend Dick’s to friends, family and local residents! We have been loyal to Dick’s, and customers for over a decade. We picked up our son from school and visited Dick’s this afternoon. Immediately entering the store we were greeted at the door (as always). My family and I had an amazing experience tonight at the store. Our son wanted a new baseball bat for his birthday next week. As we were looking at the bats an employee approached us offering assistant. Not just any employee……..Quan S!Quan was polite, knowledgeable, professional, friendly, outgoing and made great eye contact. Quan took his time answering my wife’s many questions and built a good rapport with us. He was engaged and personable throughout our conversation. Quan has the natural ability to connect with people. Sharing stories about his son which is close in age with our son. He also encouraged our son to work hard, be a good person, to be thankful for his talents and appreciate “us” (his parents) for getting him a nice bat.Let me be clear………We always have a good experience when we shop at Dick’s, but this was hands down the best experience.Dick’s sporting goods, I have been a loyal customer for years and have spent hundreds of dollars. I never ask you all for anything. However, I need the management staff at his location to acknowledge and reward him for his hard work/talents. Thank you so much! Colby Thomas
Charlie G: Stopped in to browse. Looks like good quality stuff. More functional than fashion, but the stuff seems nice. I mainly looked at winter clothes.
Ginger Reed: Stop by to grab a new sweatshirt during the Black Friday sale. I was not disappointed with 50% off and soft one.
See Boon Soo: One cashier working. Take forever
Saleh Mu: Got a good deal on a ball
John J McGuinness: Louie was awesome when my driver needed a new shaft. He was knowledgeable and got me what was required….and a fine English gentleman to boot… thanks Louie!
Edward Pack: This store doesn't sell NC Fishing Licenses anymore.
nikki drayton: Derek and Ryan were amazing! Derek helped me find my purchases, carried them across the store, and ensured my checkout with Ryan was seamless. I'll definitely be back!
Gil Fdz: Excellent place for sports stuff... friendly staff!!!
Clifton Harper: Good product selections for store size, good customer service, reasonable prices for product offerings.
Carlos Sarria: Employees are super welcoming and very helpful to find what you are looking for.
Huma Hashmi: Dominique helped me find a pair of shoes I loved today! I went in really lost, with a general idea of what I wanted but without details of actual shoes. He was really though, thoughtful and, offered me a variety of options at different price points for my needs and even helped me get in soles that I really needed
Eddie King: excellent.
William Fernstrum: I have purchased and played TaylorMade irons from Golf Galaxy for 15 years, and ordered P770 irons in April of this year. I was told they would be in middle of May, then June, then July 9 which is the day after I would be having surgery that would end my golf season. I just called on July 11th while recovering, and was told that TaylorMade now had an estimated ship date of August 30. I don't know whether it is TaylorMade or Golf Galaxy that can't get their stories straight, but both have lost a life long Customer. I understand that there are shortages, and I understand I'm not alone, but they keep setting an expectation that they cannot fulfill. Honesty, regardless of how bad it is, is a better policy and would have retained my business. I understand that regardless of what clubs I purchase I will be waiting and can advertorial that, but I will not accept their unwillingness or inability to fulfill their promises.

REI: what do users think?
Colorado Lions: I recently purchased a Yakima cargo box from REI Cary. Mark (from the bikes department) was extremely helpful with providing guidance on the install of my new equipment. I felt more confident driving down the road, and I'm thankful for his help. Will certainly be back to shop in the near future!
Ali Baba: Much bigger store than the North Hill location. Upon entering we were greeted and directed to the section we needed. At the shoes side had an associate who helped us navigate through the different types of jogging and running shoes. Only thing was that they did not carry Merrel running g shoes which is available online.
Rusty Shackelford: On a recent visit I found REI was still outstanding! They were having an anniversary sale and the place was packed! Even with it being a mad house the staff did not rush me when I had a question and were complete and very nice during the process. I also found some great deals in the used/bargain area which turned out great! It's always a highlight of my day when I am able to get to REI!
Rosalind Ellwood: Went to Cary NC REI several times during extremely busy 10 days of sale. Very impressed at how everyone & everything flowed so smoothly despite the chaotic crowds. Meredith & her register team professionally & calmly slogging through their long lines. All the floor team were engaging, helpful & happy to do whatever they could despite the strenuous hours & crowds. This store always has a Karma about it that one doesn’t realize is different from most stores including other REI locations. It’s because of Jim Bennet & other management’s philosophy & dedication. It makes one happy to support them by purchasing there.Cary store rocks!
Daniel Holleman: Went in to purchase a jacket and after wedding in an extremely long line was told I was not even able to purchase the jacket and unless I purchased their membership
April Williams: We have regularly shopped at this REI. We always find the staff helpful. Checkout is usually pretty fast. We have found some good items in their clearance section located at the front of the store. There are often clearance shoes in the shoe department too. They have bathrooms near the bike department. Their parking lot is paved and shared with other stores. We have never had a problem finding a parking space.
AdventureAttorney: Went into REI to fix a bike tire, and it was their anniversary sale. Made out with some great deals and new Rainbow flip flops for cheap!
Diane DeBruine: I went to REI looking for new shoes. I live 1 hour and 10 minutes from the closest REI. So a 2 hour 20 minute trip for new shoes. The return policy is amazing which is why I choose to shop at REI. I found a shoe that I liked but the top of one shoe and the laces were dirty. I take good care of my shoes and when I buy them new I don't like for them to be dirty. When I told the sales women they were dirty she said it was no big deal. That the shoes were fine. But if I'm going to spend $200 on shoes I'd like for them to be clean. She didn't offer to get me a different clean pair in the same size. Poor customer service at the Cary REI.
Michael: Shopped for footwear …salesperson more interested in her cellphone than customer service …went to Durham store where I had the opposite experience…very helpful employees there …highly recommend the extra few miles to the Durham REI !!
Bill Snodgrass: My wife, my daughter and I all bought things. And had I practiced less restraint I would have bought more. Mary waited on me and was fabulous. upon learning that my wife and daughter were hiking Mt. Leconte she was full of information.
Ethan Aliff: Excellent customer service and great products for outdoor activities!
Michael Carter: Wonderful place to shop ! LOTS to choose from , and customer service is friendly, knowledgeable, helpful , and patient ! The manager of this store seems to be really good at choosing the staff .
Brittany Graham: Went in this to get fitted for and purchase new hiking boots. Despite the store being relatively empty, it seems that the employees would rather talk amongst themselves than help a customer who is patiently waiting. I left without getting any sort of service. They will not get my business.
Say: Great selection of outdoor stuffs! Staffs are friendly and helpful! Bathroom in good.
vanessa koliadko: It was suggested that I take my son to REI to be properly fitted for his hiking backpack. I would like to say that we had a very awesome experience. He and I have never done anything like this before and Mark and Shannon were both phenomenal with making sure we understood everything we needed to know about our packs and the proper fitment. One of our bags was brand new and the other was donated to us. The donated one ended up having dry rotted sinch straps and we discussed the need to have those replaced. I also asked Shannon if there were any packs she would recommend for myself and she lead me to one that fit me very well and best of all it was on sale. I highly recommend these folks if you need any information on backpacking. A+ from me.
Rebecca Hunt: I wandered into REI looking for a backpack. I had looked at all the other usual stores and was disappointed. REI had just what I was looking for. I was very excited. REI is the perfect store for everything you need for outdoor activities. REI has everything you need, from hiking and camping to any outdoor activity. Clothing to cooking and everything in between. The associates are friendly and helpful. You should wander in and check out their merchandise! I am sure you will find items that you need at a great price! Enjoy your shopping trip in REI.
John Glass: First time here, was surprised to find at checkout the item we wanted was “members only”. Would be nice to have signs or something for that with the item. Shout out to Ali who was very helpful, completely the opposite of Melissa who refused to even look in our “non member” direction. Melissa, next time try telling new shoppers about the program instead of just yelling across the checkout to your peer that we can’t buy it.
Joshua Chory: Not a great selection of gloves for adults at any of the locations
Amy M.C.: Love REI!
Earl Struble: Place looked picked through, long lines but the service staff was super friendly and moved you quickly.
John Cawthorne: REI…really excellent inventory. We are always impressed with offering, prices and service. Win!

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Gaby nadine reyes: Me encantó
Harish Kumar: Don’t go to this store. I purchased the bike 2 days back . GT aggressor pro . Bike had issue. Called to store to return it. Person said I cannot return. Also person who gave bike was rude . Wasted my money and time . :(
Ana Arronches: Staff in the store very friendly, although Customer Service to assist with order very poor. And also lack of variety and numbers available.
DAVID ALAIN PAYETTE: Useless for hunting and fishing. Total yuppie oriented overpriced.
Cathy Suchy: I’m not sure the hiring and training practices of this location but I will never shop here again. The young people working the registers have absolutely no training in manners or etiquette. When I purchased an item a few days ago the cashier answered me with “yups” so much a lack of manners the receipt says his name was “Oscar”. Then when I decided to return the item just two days later I was in a cashier’s line, he then said he had to go do something so I lifted the heavy item again (65 year old woman here) and went to another line. Seconds later this guy comes back and says I’ll take you now, I simply said I’m not lifting this again and stayed in the line I was in. Completed my return, now 24 hours later the amount ($107.24) is not back in my bank account so I go in to check on it. I get yet another rude cashier talking over me and saying there is nothing he can do about it so I asked to speak to a manager. At that point this young man should have walked away and let me speak to the manager but he did not. The entire time I was trying to talk to the manager the young clerk kept rudely interjecting and telling the manager what to tell me. I asked the clerk to please stop interjecting and let me please speak to the manager. He literally told me he did not have to and could stand there and continue telling the manager what to say. These employees definitely need a massive amount of training on how to speak to customers and manners in general (apparently parents are no longer teaching this at home). I will drive to Cary and shop at Bass Pro Shop from now on, I definitely am not giving this company another penny of my business!
Skeets Fish: Gary, in the shoe department is outstanding. He helped both my kids find shoes and fitting. An absolute star for this company!
Oak Miller: Friendly and helpful staff
Rob Dusablon: Very busy, but good
Asia Schmidt: I purchased a massage gun from this store and when I got home and opened the box, I noticed it was the wrong massage gun in the box. My husband went to return it and they gave him a different one, however we still had to return this one.Upon returning the item for a second time they told me they couldn’t give me a refund because I didn’t have the original receipt. Well, I didn’t have the original receipt because the clerk who did the 1st exchange didn’t give my husband the original receipt, he gave him the one that he used to do the exchange.Despite me providing the receipt they used to do the exchange and providing them with the same card, they still couldn’t give me my refund. They offered me a store credit with and it wasn’t even for the full amount. I paid $264.00 for the item and they offered me a store credit for $216.00. Basically, I’m out of $264.00 due to an error that one of their staff members made. I will not be doing business at this location again.
Therrick Redding: I dont know if it was appernce today. Either way i came into this looking to spend large sum of money. I asked for but the manger at time (5/27/2022 @12:30) did not really want to be bother they were really short with answers to the questions i was asking, and really couldn't walk away fas enough. I don't what was going with him, but you work in retail Good Customer Service is the key to that.
Tony Wyre: Clean store, love the variety of products, great prices on everything. Also, please give Jared a big raise! He is super friendly and makes every customer feel special. Will be returning!!
Mary Tunstall: Wide variety of products, somewhat pricey. I have purchased my tennis years there for over ten years. For tennis shoes, ask them if they price match.
TMH: I have visited this location a plethora of times and had a great experience. Today I exchanged some running shoes and had to order my size (8.5) from the Cary location. I confirmed with the Sales Associate multiple times that the shoes were to be SHIPPED. He claimed even though he noted it was a curbside purchase, they would me MAILED. This was not true and an outright lie. The Cary store could not correct the error and I had to cancel ther order and purchase online. THIS GUY IS THE WORSE!
Alex McGrew: No archery stuff because reasons... For a sporting goods store the cashier's have no hustle.
Karen Jenks: We forgot my son’s cleats at home and the entire staff of employees helped us find a new pair of cleats, pay and leave so fast that we made it to the game on time. Those guys were so great, super nice and very fast! Thank you thank you!
Sarai Sprewell (Gothickittikat): Had what I needed and people working there were polite and kind. Good experience overall
Benjamin Eller: Not the greatest prices. Could have a larger selection of fitness gear.
P Hernandez: Had what I wanted and needed. Not happy to see customers without masks and not practicing social distancing especially in line at the checkout. Employees were wearing masks.
Travis House: Supportive staff
Marc Hatcher: Didn't have whsat I was looking for in. The store even though on line it said it did.
Will Isaacs: I always leave here happier and with more great gear. The staff is amazing at this location. Great attitudes, very helpful...the kind of team you want to support.

Trek Bicycle North Raleigh: what do users think?
Commodity Management: These guys are super nice and they’re open on Sundays!
Justin Long: I bought an Ebike online late last year. But most of the bike shops in the area refuse to assist with any type of repairs. I was having to drive 30+ mins out of town to another shop. I asked around to be referred to a local bike mechanic in Raleigh that could fix my brakes. I was introduced to Nate in the service center. Nate looked at my bike on the spot with me and diagnosed the issue while I was standing there. It’s clear that Nate is a professional mechanic, and it shows with his demeanor and ability to communicate the process and specifications to you. Nate got my bike fixed in 2 days. Super nice folks at the store, I’ll be coming in this store from now on. Highly recommend!
Arvie Lacson: Friendly staff.
Miranda Marino: Wonderful customer service! Highly recommend! Love my new Trek!
Norma Sellers: Awesome Staff. I'm new to biking and they made me feel comfortable and not stupid asking my questions. They assembled my bike and it looks and rides great.
James Mackintosh: I like being able to come in and just get basic repairs done without an appointment or having to drop off. Yall have done a few tires for me, Installed pedals, adjusted handlebars, and helped keep my old bike running good. As an (automotive) mechanic I appreciate being able to bring my bike somewhere and have stuff taken care of. Friendly staff, clean store just very helpful and convenient.
Jennifer Bramlett: Best store ever!! My sales person Ken was excellent and extremely friendly. From start to finish 100% perfection. I highly recommend going to this store what an experience 👍😃
Von Brown: Friendly attitudes and customer service and knowledgeable about products!
David Olson: Always excellent service and friendly staff! Highly recommend :)
Michael Schwarz: I’ve been a dedicated Trek customer since their beginning (I have a collection of vintage Trek road racing bicycles I regularly ride). I recently built a gravel bike and the Trek store had all the parts I needed in stock. It’s always a pleasure going to a store where the employees are as fanatical about bicycling as I am!
Michael McFadden: Nate and the service team are great! Always do a great job and are very knowledgable about bikes!
Janis Braslins: Excellent sales and service team. Our family owns not only Trek bikes, but also other brands. Bring all of them there for service.
Eric Libow: Staff is friendly and knowledgeable.
Leah Sansone: Trek North Raleigh has friendly, knowledgeable staff. They have tried their products first hand. I always trust their advice. Their service department is the BEST!❤️
John Kagan: Excellent bikes and service at Trek North Raleigh.
Jim Harry: Call anyone, anytime. I dare you to find anyone in this store who will not treat you like you have million bucks to spend. Their only goal is to “listen” to your story and help you figure out how best to accomplish it for you and alongside of you. Truly my new favorite bike home!
Steve Cedoz: My Verve 3 is a great touring bike for around town and greenway trails. The Team at Trek-North Raleigh was friendly, very helpful, and informative. Thank you for a great experience and a great bike!
Edward Macey: Great products and expert service!

REI: what do users think?
Rafael D: Great bike shop service. I had a chain rub issue with the front derailleur in my road bike. I had spent about 2-3 hrs playing with it the day before and ended up making it worse :( I walked in and they were able to fix it in 10-15 mins right then and there! (Special shout out out to Patrick)! Great and very knowledgeable service!
Joseph McLaughlin: Great place for hiking preparation.
Ed Karjala: Mostly disappointed every time I visit. Mediocre selection, and with one exception out of a dozen visits, staffed by inattentive and poorly informed individuals. Sad.
Gordon C. H. Drake: Amazingly helpful staff at every turn! Thanks!
E Ray: Corporate REI is illegally preventing employees here to vote for a union in a reasonable amount of time. By postponing the vote, corporate REI is hoping the 10 new employees they hired will swing the vote. The store manager has also placed an employee on administrative leave without reason or communication. This is blatant retaliation and Union busting. This review is for Corporate REI, and has nothing to do with the employees of this location, who all deserve 5 stars. Let Durham vote!!!
L: REI Durham has currently put an employee on administrative leave for his involvement in trying to form a local union. While I like REI’s products, this behavior shows no regard for their employees’ wellbeing or humanity, and I’m deeply disappointed in the management. I will be buying online or at other REI locations because I believe in workers’ rights.@REI Durham management, I hope you do correct your actions so that your employees are treated humanely as fellow human beings.
Ezra Byrd: REI is retaliating against its employees that are legally fighting for a living wage, safety and a union. Do not shop here until REI acknowledges the demands of its workers.
Kenneth Kreider: First and last time in that store, I went in just to check it out as I have never been in a REI. I walked around for about 15 minutes I didn't get a Hi or a can I help you and I walked past 5 or 6 employees, so I don't think I will go back because you didn't get a second chance to make a first impression.
Austin S: Great employees - curious about that union busting though?
Chris Gordon: Staff is incredibly knowledgeable and were super helpful in getting my son fitted for backpacking.
Chloe Wellons: Some tough outdoor provision company in Durham NC. Sent me an email that my curbside pickup order was ready but when I immediately drove to the store, they said they had canceled curbside pick up due to rain. Over priced. Go to Amazon.
Hal Sandick: Knowledgeable staff, great return policy, quality goods.
Oak Miller: Good location and staff
Shannon Pinnell: Blake in the shoe department was incredibly helpful in finding my next pair of hiking boots. He was very knowledgeable, listened to my wants and needs, asked great questions to get a better idea of what would work for me, and recommended some perfect options. He was also juggling a number of customers seamlessly. Would come back to Blake for my next pair!
Beverly Abbott: No black Wrightsocks.
Amber Chase: No signs on the door for not allowing dogs. This store sells RoughWear for dogs. They have camping gear for dogs. No open food is sold in this store. We spent over 30mins walking around browsing before a store rep came up to us, to ask if he was a service dog. I would understand if he was rowdy or barking; that would be completely understandable in that case. If you google REI for dog policies it; shows they are dog friendly as long as they are polite. The only thing I could finally dig up for them not allowing dogs is a tweet from 2018. This needs to be clearly outlined either for all stores on the corporate site or per each store front doors. According to this store it's not the same policy for all stores, in essence they can pick and chose which rules they want to follow.
Chip Gentry: Jackie was amazingly helpful. We had a difficulty and she sorted it out zip-zap. We love her assistance every time we visit.
Sarah Carter: Tracy was super helpful and had tons of patience with us as we asked a bunch of questions regarding the right gear for a big upcoming trip. She and Eliza were kind and straightforward with lots of great info and support. We will be back to this REI for all of our outdoor needs!
Shane Hunt: Staff are great, but they are too expensive
Paul Lascara: Alice and Esteban (apologize if misspelled) were super helpful!
Francis Ferrell: They have a good selection of outdoor great but everything seems way over priced to me

DICK'S Sporting Goods: what do users think?
Robert Brocious: Long wait to get checked out. Not a lot of customers, just no one working at checkouts. Also scorecard is a joke! Plan to take my busy to competition. Maybe better service
Therrick Redding: Store look lretty organized. The staff was pretty friendly. The Restroom Though😵‍💫 they needs some attention.
Whitney Slattery: Friendly and helpful team!
Ifranco25 _: Very nice! Always come here every now and then!
Adam Matthews: That cashier that assisted me today, Madelyn, was awesome! She was very friendly and kind. I exchanged a shirt and she made the process seamless and easy. She is a great ambassador for this location!
Sagi Gillera: Jerry in the shoe department was amazing! He was very knowledgeable about the shoe selection and helped us pick out a nice pair of brooks glycerine. He placed our order online and was able to price match. 10/10 recommend.
macie creech: Cavin’s customer service was overly exceptional. He was very on top of things with every thing i needed!
Angela Thompson: Kristen's customer service was immediately and friendly. She was the only floor associated that provided assistance. She was knowledgeable about the brands in sports, sales history, and so professional. Tell her I said, Thank you bunches and I brought the Panthers Jersey she assisted me with in the store.
Jason Grover: Friendly and kind
Roberto Solis: Son amables y atentosPero no hay variedad de Jersey de equipos de la NFL y estamos en plena temporada
Heather: Shoe selection was mediocre. Help was ehhhh. Prices are higher here than most.
Monte Cristo: Dick’s is a sporting goods store for the 1%. Prices are high ($39.98 for the LEAST expensive wood baseball bat—$499.99 for a BBCOR bat). Bottom line is this: for the high prices I expect a high level of service, unfortunately at this particular store, you won’t get both—just the high prices. My young (12 year old) neighbor and I went looking for bats. We purchased one and walked out. He noticed it had a dent, I gave him the receipt and told him to ask for an exchange. Nearly 20 minutes later he walked out with the exchange. I asked him why it took 20 minutes and he told me the cashier was rude to him and explained to him the exchange process (TRANSLATION: She was not happy). He finally was able to get an undamaged bat and walked out. Here’s my tip to management: People will pay higher prices for excellent service. You (management) will never see repeat service if your employees hate their jobs and let the customers know it with their attitudes.I can buy a baseball bat in many different stores or online. I won’t be a repeat customer for DICK’S.
noel adams: It took them twice as long as they said and they’re still not finished unless you have 15 years to wait on a simple task I would recommend going somewhere else
Guy Fieri: Tim, you are the man!
John Forrester: TLDR- Golf club repair wont listen to directions when written on the work order or on multiple phone calls. Stay away from the golf club repair folks... brought in a 7 and SW for new shafts and grips. I had to call every step of the way for updates... after 1 week I called to ask what the status was...told no shafts which I was told they would call me to talk options the next day.... no call... No steel shafts , so I ordered and they told me to ship to the house for faster service. Dropped off on a Wednesday called Thursday to talk to them said would be ready by Monday. Called Tuesday to ensure completion... not even started yet. On my paper work I explained I need +4" on the clubs...aka LONG CLUBS.... I talked to the guy on Tuesday and gave him the measurements myself from my PW and 8 Iron... Wednesday pickup...standard length... They want to fix it but they aren't touching my clubs anymore...burn marks on my 7 from the heat to get the head off.... and the new shaft was only seated MAYBE 1/2inch... they didn't clean it out or anything. I'm re-doing these myself with a propane torch, drill, and epoxy from Amazon because they clearly have no clue what they are doing at this store. 2 stars because the first manager helped me get the correct price on a new driver. Repair portion....trash.
Toby Williamson: Nice associates. Clean neat store!
Marty Martinelli: Outstanding help!! In and out quickly.. all employees w3aring masks.
John Turner: Good
Imani Haleem: Ms. Leslie is the best! She definitely helped me. I was shocked how knowledgeable the employees were.
Charlie Keeton: Went in to try to find some camo hunting pants. I knew they caved to the media and no longer sell guns or ammo but I was shocked to find zero hunting gear whatsoever. Not even a camo or orange hat. Why are you mad at hunters?
Doreen Bryant: Finally a "fresh" selection of everything!
