They have a customer-focused attitude and don't mind spending time with you. They go back and forth bringing garments to the fitting room and helping you make sure they fit well. They are genuinely interested, and you don't get that much anymore these days.

I explained my situation and she went to work finding me shoes to try. Once I knew what shoe brand worked well, she went above and beyond to help me get a tennis shoe and Sandal. Yasmin Monroe: I went in this store today and have never felt so disrespected in my life. There was a gentleman (I use that term lightly) at the front of the store talking to a woman (She was white. I make that point for a reason). I am not sure if she was a customer, but this man, who I later found out was the supervisor, never said hello or acknowledged me at all. This same man then came right in front of me on the next row and stayed on that row facing me for about 10 minutes (I felt like he was watching me), but he still did not acknowledge me or ask me if I needed help. I honestly would have ignored all of this, but after looking around the store about another 10 minutes, I went back to the original aisle I was on to make sure I didn't want to purchase another pair of shoes. There were two white women on that row with me (Very close to me). The gentleman I previously mentioned asked both of those women if they needed help and walked right past me. I am African American and I am not one to immediately go to the race card, but I have never been so blatantly discriminated against in my whole life. I immediately put down the shoes I was considering, went to another employee who was stocking a few rows over, and told her what happened. I asked her who the gentleman was and imagine my surprise when she said he was the supervisor. I regrettably did not get either of the employees names, but I couldn't let this go without leaving this review. This review should have been no stars instead of one. I will be reaching out to corporate.

On this particular trip I was looking for a comfortable dress shoe and found one but it was a slightly over what I wanted to pay. I still decided to buy it. When I got to the register the cashier stated that these could be on sale and checked for me and sure enough they were. I saved about $25 and walked away. Very happy customer. I will continue to shop here when I need any type of shoes or sneakers or boots. Thank you, DSW!

The Store is a huge Warehouse, mostly "Help Yourself" but friendly Staff is available if need help! My Daughter assited me in finding several assorted Brands to try on! But "Croc's" won out, with room for "Good Feet" Orthodic and Cover Insole! Was Comfy with a Back Strap that slid over the Arch to make a Fabulous slide in House Shoe, Love them! "I'm So Happy" I'll be Back!

Total distaste for DSW and any store, the manager should work if you don’t have staff (I manage a restaurant so I very much understand).

Queen D: Very chill vibes at the bottom where the perfume section was. The lady who helped me pick out a perfume was so sweet that she even gave me free samples and put my things in a cute display box. Lena Bjorner-Janes: My one star review is from my experience today May 28, 2023. I have never been treated as rudely and demeaning as today while shopping in activewear. The lady was at the register talking to 2 other associates and apparently I interrupted the personal conversation because I wanted to pay for my item. I then had the nerve to bring her an item without the proper tag on it and said to me “how am I supposed to ring this up?” I really don’t think that’s the customers problem and i would think between the 3 of them, they could figure out what to do. She told me I need to go back and find one with a tag and then come back. Her tone and the manners in which she spoke to me was very unnecessary. Needless to say, I walked out of the store and I will not go back. And you wonder why department stores are failing?

The staff interact with one another but never gesture to even say hi to its customers. I've experienced this on numerous occasions. Seem unhappy with assisting customers. I guess all their time and energy is on keeping the store organized and clean because that's all I've ever noticed.

I drive 30min to come to the store and arrived at 10:00am and when I called them, she said Ooh sorry, we open at 11!!! I asked to give my order from the door since you can’t leave the store and she said no I can’t!!How about me!! I was driving 30min and I have to go to my work!Staying another one hour doesn’t matter for you because you don’t respect your customers!!CHANGE YOUR HOURS POLICY!

Randy Overton: Updated, mens dept had what we needed today. Sales took care of us. Better deal here on Tommy Bahamas items vs. TB store a few stores down in the mall.
Ryan Hancock: I haven't been here in years. Wow. This is not the Belk I grew up with. Belk looks like it is on the verge of bankruptcy. A good portion of their "flagship" men's store is empty. Empty space, racks and walls. It reminded me of Sears from the early 2000's.I was looking at sports jackets, some of the ones I picked up actually had dust on them. The fitting room was piled with clothes and smelled like urine. After finding a dress shirt I liked, I had to walk around the store just to find someone to pay for it. I could have easily have just walked out, but I'll bet that the security office was the one place they actually have an associate. That being said, when I did find someone to give them my money, the associate (shoe department) was super kind and helped me save some money with a coupon. I did the survey and gave him kudos, I can only hope Belk will recognize him. I swear he was the only associate in that entire store! God bless him.

Maria Hansen: Store was nice, the clerk was very helpful and nice. Their return policy has gone to one month which can be tough for some shoppers. I don't go out to physical malls much at all anymore.
