Ray's Stucco: what do users think?
Frank Dick: We hired Ray to do a repair job for us on a roof we were replacing. Ray and Diana were both exceptionally professional. Any time I had a question I could call or email and would get a response very quickly. Ray was very attentive to details and customer service. He was always sure to update us on how the project was going and what his timeline would be to complete the work. It is obvious Ray is skilled at his trade and cares about the end product. The quote Ray gave was very competitive and very detailed as to the work performed. We highly recommend Ray's Stucco for any of your stucco repair needs.
Brandon White: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ValueThe charged me a non re fundable deposit just to send me a ridiculously high quote for the job that wouldn’t even make sense to pay and basically keep the deposit for nothing this is more of a scam if you ask me
David H: These people are a joke, they took our deposit as a non refundable charge, then quoted the job for a insane price just to be able to walk away with the deposit without doing any work. DONT use these people!!
Gary123 Macy: Greetings. I had not performed any maintenance on my stucco house since I moved in over 10 years ago. It had holes in it from woodpeckers, previous patch work was starting to show through, and the color was fading. I called Ray's Stucco and scheduled a visit. Ray was on time, professional and very nice. We went over my concerns, what I was looking for, and he gave me different options. I was impressed by what he had to offer, some of which he was able to demonstrate (e.g. different paint products), and it made choosing his company easy. When it came time to getting the job done, Ray and his crew (3-5 guys) showed up as scheduled and on time as expected. They were very professional during the entire process and they did a fabulous job. He and his crew are true craftsman and they take pride in their work. I was very impressed that Ray himself showed up every day to oversee and perform work on the house. To add his finishing touches, Ray's crew powerwashed my house and walkways and they painted the window shudders and a flower box. Overall, I could not be happier. He simply does excellent work and nothing less. I would trust Ray's Stucco for any stucco work that needs done and I highly recommend him.Gary from Cary
Desmond P: Very professional and fast work. I’ll use him again but his top notch work won’t need revisiting. I highly recommend Ray’s.
Mika Drew: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueRay provided a superior product! He repaired the stucco and made it look even better by suggesting a slightly different color and added trim work!!
Catherine Snow: Ray has been helping with my 24-year old stucco home for years. He has helped with repairs, and most recently, with a major remodel involving window replacements. My house looks updated, modern & beautiful! Ray and his crew are competent, professional, helpful, and such a pleasure to work with. I will use him for all my stucco needs. Best find ever!
Jim Ball: Very happy. Ray was quick to meet with me to review and provide an estimate for my project; which was to replace 20 year old stucco on a wall around our terrace. After we agreed on the cost Ray and his team promptly completed the project and cleaned up after the work. The wall looks just as it did when originally constructed. I would definitely use Ray's Stucco again.
brooke abee: Ray is amazing!!!!! We called Ray after a subcontractor assigned by our builder tried to “stucco” our fireplace 2 times with tons of cracks. Ray immediately agreed to come and look at it for a consultation fee and made us feel confident with his 30 years experience in stucco he could fix the mess we had. Within 2 days he was personally at our home stuccoing our fireplace! It is exactly what we wanted and the focal point of our new covered porch!! If you need stucco anything, Ray is your guy!
David Graham: I initially contacted Ray to repair some cracks on one side of my stucco home (~3,000 sq ft, two story wall) which sits on a farm in Hillsborough. He arrived on-time, was considerate, professional and highly informative. An emailed quote for the work was provided within a few days after his visit.I had purchased several Andersen windows that I was planning on installing on this same wall before having Ray out for the stucco work. After realizing that window installation on a stucco home is not as trivial as a siding clad home, I called contractors for quotes. Most did not return calls and for those that did, most said they would not touch stucco or that a stucco specialist would be needed after the window install. So it dawned on me that Ray might know someone who could do this work and do it correctly. He came back to my house (1 hr drive) with one of his employees who has over 15 years of experience in construction. They assessed the job, answered all my questions and were knowledgeable. A few days later, they provided me a very, very reasonable quote to install the new windows, replace all rotting wood brick moldings around the new windows with vinyl moldings, grind-out all the stucco cracks, re-surface the whole wall, caulk all joints, and paint the wall and trim (2-coats). The quality of the resulting work far exceeded my expectations - I cannot emphasize how satisfied I was with the work. While they were on-site, I hired them for additional stucco repair and painting on the remainder of the house.Ray and a team of two completed all of the work over the course of two-weeks (there were rain-days throughout). The two crew members were kind, considerate of the animals on my farm (even after attacks from tom turkeys), and clearly skilled. Ray showed up on-site 5 separate times during the two-weeks, inspecting the quality of the work completed, and taking the time to speak to me on every visit about what was done and what was going to be done next. To me, I got the impression that Ray clearly cares about the quality of his company's work, his employees, and the clients he works for.
Bradley Pearce: The good, then the bad. I contacted them to stucco an ICF foundation. They returned my call quickly and we set up a time for them to look at the foundation. After a couple days, I still hadn't gotten the quote back from them. I contacted them again and then sent a $9,500 quote for less then 600 square feet. Most of which doesn't even require a ladder. That's an insane number. I emailed back suggesting that there must be a mistake or quotes swapped, as that's almost $16 a square foot (more when you consider that the true sq footage is less then 600). They didn't reply back. The guy touched in 3 subjects that anytime I hear any one of them from a sub-contracter, I know they're not going to give an honest price. He touched on all three during the conversation. So, they've lost my business on this job and any future business on my next projects.
Rajih Haddawi: I met Ray at the recommendation of one of my neighbors. He was prompt in his appointment time. He listened to our chronic difficulty with the attic leak from the Chimney flashing and the badly previously repaired chimney by the hands of others. He explained what he found wrong and what is needed to fix it.From his first visit he earned my trust and I gave him the full responsibility to address the issue once and for all.He hired a roofer for replacement of the flashing and the chimney cover while he and his crew replaced the chimney and related structures. The final result is an outstanding. it looks beautiful and we had no further leakage in the attic. he guaranty the job for ten years. His pricing is very fair and reasonable and much less than others who previously evaluated the same issue. He has an excellent crew who worked diligently in the hot Carolina summer to finish the job on time and did not leave unless they clean all the derbies and the dust.Thank you Ray,Raj Haddawi
Roderick Harrison: Ray did and awesom job at our home. He is very professional and is very well equipped to do any job that requires stucco repairs or painting. I would recommend them to anyone.Roderick Harrison
terri benforado: Ray's did some stucco work in our business complex for two business at one time. WE then called him to price another job in the same complex and he increased his pricing by $1000 because he said he had no other jobs in the area therefore his price was more. He did not care that he was charge almost double and stated he had plenty of work and did not need more. If you call him I would get several prices from other stucco vendors.
Brian Baker: After buying a foreclosure with synthetic stucco issues, my wife and I spent several months thinking about how to properly examine our home and then remediate any issues that arose. Hiring the right contractor would be the single most important decision we made. I was very concerned and worried about the scope and cost of the product, and the expertise and honesty of potential contractors. After interviewing quite a few, the decision on who to choose was actually quite easy. One person seemed personally invested in our project and it’s outcome. That person was Ray Coppage. Ray and his outstanding team have been at my house for over two months now. Like a magician, Ray made my issues vanish. But it wasn’t magic, it was Ray’s deep expertise in stucco and also water intrusion issues. He has been doing this for 35 years and it is very evident he knows his stuff exceptionally well. His exceptional worth ethic and his meticulous attention to detail were truly second to none. And I am a very tough person to impress. Part of me can’t believe I am writing this testimonial unprompted….but I have just have been so impressed and ENTIRELY HAPPY with his work that I felt compelled to share my experience.Ray’s team was always on time, diligent, and did great work. They also cleaned up well after each day. They were courteous and attentive to detail. One of the things that made a huge impression on me is how all of the relatively small, cosmetic issues were addressed without me having to even bring them up. This was a big project and his team’s attention to little things made it perfectly clear that Ray has taught his team to do things the right way. So if you like timely work done by a true professional who is committed to doing it the right way at a fair price, I would recommend Ray Coppage and his team without reservation. I have instructed Ray to pass my number along to anyone looking to learn more about my experience.Brian and Maureen BakerRaleigh, NC 27615

Pearl Pool Plastering, LLC: what do users think?
Juan-pierre du Toit: Pearl pools did our pool plumbing / rebuild / repair in the wake forest, NC area and really did a great job.As similar reviews indicate JoeKotara is an excellent project manager and we were very happy to have him on our project. He meticulously handled our project with great care. Everything ran smoothly and we could not be happier.Shout out to the "Hansen Boys" (Chris and Miguel) for doing a good job on our plumbing. The tile work was done by a guy called Jesus and man did he do a great job.Yes of course there were snags and changes along the way where we needed to work things out, but that is pretty normal for any big construction project like this. All these escalations along with some pretty good pool advice was always handled by Joe and Mitch Larriva. Another awesome dude at pearl. One final shout out to Mark Bailey (sales mgr) without his involvement none of this would have ever even happened.Services:Remodeling,General repairs maintenance,Swimming pool crack repair,Swimming pool resurfacing,Swimming pool tile repair,Swimming pool equipment repair
Maggie McCoon: Paid 10K deposit in October since I was told pool resurfacing would be done in October. It's March now and I am desperately trying to get my money back. Owner Mitchell Brad Friedlander is a horrible bully and is not returning my deposit and not doing the work. Stay away from Pearl Pools at any cost!!In response to your response. Your sales person lied in October when they said they could do it immediately and I followed up with you guys probably a dozen times since then. I do not have my refund 10 days after I requested it. I was never told 2-3 weeks processing time and feel you just don't have the money to return. I have already spoken to an attorney about this and will deal with you through them. Nothing you are saying here is factual. I understand you are lying to save face but fact is I paid you and services were never rendered and you owe me a lot of money that you are not paying. End of story.Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
Kristen O'Daly: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValuePearl replastered the community pool for our HOA last year and did an amazing job. The pool is on the rooftop and was challenging. Mark Bailey and his team provided excellent guidance, advice and suggestions as well as answering our many questions and troubleshooting for us! Highly recommended Pearl!Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
Matt Jennings: Positive:Professionalism,ResponsivenessGreat company with great customer service! Look forward to doing business with Pearl Pools!
Brian Parry: As the owner of an older inground gunite pool that needed refurbishing, I faced the daunting task of both organizing and scheduling the overall repair effort with numerous contractors to provide for the installtion of new equipment, a new automatic safety cover, new ceramic tiling, new travertine stone coping, and finally, an all new plastered surface finish for the pool. Pearl Pools personnel took the time to work with me through all the various setbacks that can happen during the course of a pool rebuild project such as this. They were great, providing much needed help and professional guidance along the way. I am very pleased with the 'Wet Edge' stone finish that was provided. I highly recommend using Pearl Pools for your project given the quality of workmenship and excellent customer service that I was afforded.Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
Tom “Big T” Ross: WILL NOT RETURN CALLS OR REACH OUT FROM CONTACT CARD.
David Covington: We had our pool replastered. Josh Bailey made us aware of Pearl Pools and we are glad he did. Our project manager was Christopher Hardin who was great and responsive to any questions or concerns we had. His crew members were very hard working and competent. We are very pleased with the work Christopher did for us and the support Josh provided during the 28 day pool maintenance after the replastering. Thanks to both!Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
Saddle Run: We had a full renovation in early 2021 and are highly satisfied with the outcome. Brick coping, tile, plastering and new pool chemical system installed. Any obstacles encountered were handled with professionalism because as is with any remodel there issues come up.We've had 2 years now in our renovated pool and we are very happy with the work still!Services:Remodeling,Swimming pool resurfacing
Patrick Beck: Service:General repairs maintenancePositive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Neil Kuplic: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueExcellent service. Would highly recommend and Joe K was excellent as our PM, could not have wished for better. Exceeded our expectationsService:Swimming pool resurfacing
Keith Crumpler: We used Pearl Pools to re-plaster our pool. The plaster turned out great and our Project Manager Joe K. made the whole process seamless and very fast. Looks like a new pool. I would definitely recommend Pearl Pools to anyone looking to resurface their pool. Ask for Joe as your PM and you’ll have a great experience.Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
China's Lab: Jay is very knowledgeable & resourceful!
Dan Schaub: UPDATE!!!!!! The first post was somewhat out of frustration over the work being done. Now that we've had 2 summers in this pool I wanted to update my post. First of all the neighborhood absolutely loves the remodel, we get compliments on it al the time. Second was the fact that we had a small section of grout that had either not cured right or fell out. I reached out to Mark at Pearl after 1.5 years knowing we were out of warranty about the grout concern. He sent someone right away and they said they would fix it for free. Our pool just closed for the season and they were here within 3 days and fixed it. I've changed my review to 5 STARS knowing that they really do have a great product and were going through some staffing issues during our remodel.Mark Bailey was an awesome person to deal with. Very knowledgeable and willing to share the insights into pool remodeling. Would highly recommend this company.Service:Remodeling
Virginia Whyte: We hired Pearl Pool Plastering in Feb. 2021. Our experience was disappointing. The project took a much longer time than it was promised. The infantile attitude and incompetence of the Pearl Pool managers was exhausting, but the job was done. The subcontractors hired by Pearl Pools have more professionalism and customer service, that was the reason we didn't write any negative reviews at the time. But after 1 year and 7 months later, we received an e-mail from Danielle Yost at Pearl Pools falsely claiming that we owe $2,461.49, with a fake invoice and completely made up numbers. We have all the paperwork records showing that we paid in full. Pear Pool's payment terms are clearly stated in their contract: "The payments are to be paid in full before the final phase." Only after Pearl Pool cashed our check the final phase of plastering took place. The recent e-mail from Pearl Pools "Concierge Specialist" Danielle Yost shows gross incompetence or criminal intent to illegally solicit money from past customers.I hope this review helps future customers make the right choice.Service:Remodeling
Michele “Chele” Miller: Quick loader.. tight when cars park in the gravel.
Steve Pahner: Class act company with top notch professionals!A few years ago my wife and I pulled the trigger on a home with a pool. The pool was originally installed in the late 80s and as I’ve come to find out, was painted black in true 80s style. Over the years, the prior homeowners repainted time and time again. With peeling, chalking and bubbling in full effect, it was time for a change. I looked around town for various solutions and came back to the only company that made sense…Pearl. My sales rep, Mark Bailey, offered up suggestions to not only improve the interior of the pool but other ideas on a full blown renovation as the backyard was overgrown and in need of some love. My wife and I hired another contractor last summer to remove an outdated water feature, redo the pool deck, coping, etc. Mark was a pleasure to work with. This year Pearl put forward another rockstar, Mitch Larriva, to get the project moving and knocked out in time for swim season. We had some things to work through with the way the coping was installed by the other contractor (not Pearl’s doing) but Mitch explained our options, presented pricing and upon sign off, led the team to execute the job to completion. The day before the plaster was scheduled to be applied (on a Thursday), I unexpectedly had to be out of town for 3 days. Knowing there is a 28 day curing process for the plaster which requires daily chem checks/adjustments & brushing, I contacted Mitch to see if he knew anyone to help over the weekend. He personally stepped up and offered to help. He came daily, adjusted chem levels, brushed and sent me texts with the updates. While I didn’t catch the names of all the guys on site throughout the process, another Pearl all-star, Chris Bigley, stopped by to prep the site the day before the plaster install. He has been working in the field for 20+ years and was a pleasure to get to know…another example of Pearl’s superior lineup.Strong start, excellent planning and execution, strong finish. Well done Pearl!
DAVID COOK: Pearl Pool Plastering, LLC is awesome! Our condiminium pool required replastering and Chris Bigley responded to my request for quote promptly and provided a very thorough proposal at a reasonable price. After signing of the contract, Chris remained on as the project manager and kept me fully informed regarding performance and schedule. There were no cost overruns and the quality of the work is excellent. Many thanks to Chris and the team at Pearl for a job well done.Service:Swimming pool resurfacing
KD: Evan and Mitch were an absolute pleasure to work with. We were on a tight deadline and when I contacted Mitch he quickly got me in contact with the PM- Evan who was calling me to schedule an appointment within 24 hours and was at my house within 3 days. When he said he would come, he came. When I called or texted with a question- he quickly put our mind at ease with a quick response. We are so happy and pleased with this top notch customer attention. We appreciate everything you did, and how fast you all work! Highly recommend Evan! You will not be disappointed.
Rob Rhinehart: The team was thorough and professional. They answered all my questions, worked with me to find the best balance of materials to cost, and completed the job on time and in budget. The PM made sure I understood and agreed to every step. The pool looks great! Would recommend.
Daniel Lawler: I have used Scott and Pearl on many jobs in the past and I refer Pearl to my freinds and family. Most recently Pearl completed a job for me in Havre de Grace, a little bit outside of their normal service area. They communicated very well through the entire process, were timely and kept to their schedule, kept my backyard clean during the remodel work, (replaced my tile, coping, wet edge plaster and light replacement) and the finished product was delivered on time and exceeded my expectations. True professionals throughout the project and could not be happier.Services:General construction,Remodeling,General repairs maintenance

S & A Construction: what do users think?
Beth Cooper: We had a complete renovation of our kitchen and bath a few years ago. The experience was TERRIBLE. Ed was the most unprofessional person I've ever worked with. We didn't leave a review because there were several other reviews expressing concern over defamation law suits, etc and it just wasn't worth it. However...we recently sold our house and through the inspection process almost 100% of the items that came up on our inspection were the results of the work done by S & A. The quality of work was way worse than we originally thought. If you are looking for quick work and are going to flip the property - this may be the crew for you but if you are looking to invest in your home, I would strongly suggest you consider other options.
Tiffany Oldham: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ValueRUN!
Jad Chami: Unprofessional. Not even sure if their insurance is legit. My neighbors complained of their driving through our neighborhood
Janelle Ebersole: Positive:ProfessionalismWhile we needed to follow up on items, it was taken care of. Ed and Misty were always easy to talk to. We certainly enjoy having a covered front porch and back deck.
Corinne Bailey: S & A did a great job of the remodeling of our kitchen and 3 bathrooms. Misty and Ed were great and responsive to all our needs.Hands out to our foreman Efrom and and ALL the construction crew. They did a wonderful job with their punctually and performance and respectfulness. We would hire S & A again in the future
Karen Brennan: I've used S&A construction for many projects. The attention to detail and quality work is outstanding. Highly recommended!
Andrea Updyke: Have had an appointment scheduled for nearly 2 weeks to get an estimate for adding a shower to our bathroom. After waiting an hour and 15 minutes past my appointment time, I receive a call from the business letting me know they will not be able to work on my home because they "only do full room remodels". I said, this would have been a full remodel of my bathroom, something they could have easily followed up on or cancelled the appointment in advance. It is wholly unacceptable to allow me to sit here for over an hour waiting for someone who would never come. Terrible business practice and I will be using another company for my full room remodel. If I could give zero stars I would.
Mike Bitzenhofer: This review has required multiple revisions as things continue to come up after our remodel by S&A Construction .Ed's lawyer called me and threatened a defamation law suit. Later I recieved a letter threatening the same. Defamation can only be proven if the statements are not true. I wonder how many people removed their reviews after being intimidated? Our project failed Town of Wake Forest Inspections 16 times. Our project consisted of an addition to our home with a complete kitchen and master bath remodel. Interior and exterior painting and a new roof over the addition. All of these are services are advertised as being provided on the S&A website. The roof on the addition developed a leak. Upon further investigation the roof was not installed per building code. This was not caught by the building inspector because that is not an item that they inspect. Only after getting the NC Licensing Board involved did Ed have our roof replaced per code. The roof was repaired and he got to keep his license in good standing with no record of the code violation. When he came to the house to examine the damage he did not believe that his not following the building code was responsible for the leak. The NC inspector did not agree with his assessment. When it came to the water damage on the ceiling Ed suggested that we just spray paint over the stains and then paint it with ceiling paint. We were concerned that all of the insulation above the ceiling could be growing mold. We ended up having to file on our home owners insurance to have the work done. I asked Ed to pay the $1000 deductible, he did not return my email. There were many other problems to detail here. Please refer to my previous review on Angie's list for further details.
Martin Johnson: Hard working and got two bathrooms remodeled on time. there were some issues, but they made them right.
Sarah Alexander: I highly recommend S & A Construction. We just had our kitchen and two bathrooms remodeled and the entire process was very smooth. We were working within a very strict budget, and I appreciated the way Ed guided us as we made decisions and selected the new materials. Each of the crew members who worked in our house were extremely courteous, respectful, and accommodating; and the new spaces are beautiful. Communication with our project manager throughout the entire project was also easy, consistent, and timely. If we look to make any changes to our house in the future, we will definitely call S & A Construction!
Jim Mulholland: Did not do right by this customer.S&A completed renovations on our home in May, 2017. While their work was not substandard, it certainly was not excellent. For example, finish work was not done well (walls left uneven, floor staining not consistent, very sloppy painting) but we paid in full & re-did some of these items on our own with other contractors. In June 2019 we were surprised to hear from the City of Raleigh Building Services that our renovations did not have final inspections completed. We called Ed, owner of S&A Construction, expecting him to take responsibility for completing this process (getting permits re-activated & scheduling final inspection) as the permit is based on his work in our home.Ed claims that having the final inspection was "not important, no big deal" and that if we were to sell and the buyer balked, he would then step in and get final inspection. Of course, this did not sit well with us, did not want to wait until we had an issue to take care of this. We pressed Ed to do the right thing. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed when he told us that this was now our responsibility - he stated "it's your house so you need to have this finalized". He went on to explain that he had paid for the final inspection (he sent us his receipt) but determined that was the end of his responsibility, even if the final inspections had not occurred. Thus, we ended up having to pay $250 for the re-permit / final inspection to put this matter to a proper close. We feel an ethical business owner would have completed the permit process to ensure that delivered as promised (and paid for).
RD Canfield: Major remodel on a 35 yr old home. Great crew, problem solving, & service! I definitely recommend these guys!
Sheryl Johnson: I just finished a kitchen and bath remodel. The entire process went well and the team was very professional, helpful, and in constant communication. They met ALL of my expectations and the final product is beautiful, materials are top quality, and professionally installed. Anything I asked to change or add was handled quickly and exactly as asked. I Would not hesitate to hire Ed, Kathleen, Shauna and construction team in the future!!
Darlene Watson: Update from last year: S & A completed master bath renovations last year, so I did not hesitate to contact them recently when I was ready to update my kitchen. Ed was extremely helpful and knowledgeable in helping us select everything from the kitchen cabinets to the tile, granite countertops and flooring. I can’t say enough about how wonderful his office staff is! The work crews were amazing! They showed up daily on time and cleaned up before leaving every evening. We absolutely love our new kitchen!S & A Construction remodeled my bathroom and they done an outstanding job. The workers were so knowledgeable and very professional. I just love my new bathroom. I'm planning to do more renovations to my home in the near future and I will definitely call them to do the job.
Patrick Fuller: S&A remodeled our kitchen and master bathroom and did a great job. It looks beautiful, and it went smoothly all the way through. The design process was exciting, and they listened to our feedback on what we wanted done. The crews were terrific - professional and cleaned/swept the rooms after they were done each day. Would definitely use them again. Have already recommended them to others.
tim mcclelland: Excellent service and quality. Everyone from owner, project manager and construction workers were awesome, kind and professional. Very patient in the design of my bathroom. Their care to ensure my satisfaction went beyond my expectations. Needless to say, my bathroom looks beautiful. Well worth the cost. My dollars were not wasted and I will use them again to remodel my other bathrooms and kitchen.I would recommend them if you are considering remodeling. Sheila and Tim McClelland
Carol A.: Our large remodel project (which included our kitchen, laundry room, 2 1/2 bathrooms, all the flooring on the entire first floor, fireplace and painting) was just completed and we couldn't be happier. Ed, Kathleen and Shauna were a pleasure to work with from beginning to end. The workers on site were amazing...very professional, friendly and helpful.
Mona Butler: Run as fast as you can from this company! The owner is the most arrogant, narcissistic man who actually compared himself to a “chef who doesn’t like to be questioned” when it came to different aspects of our job, and if you do question him, he is verbally abusive to you. I wish I could say the quality of the job outweighed these aspects but it doesn’t. We had a full kitchen remodel, cabinets and tile flooring, and new carpeting laid throughout the house. Not only did Ed arbitrarily change the color of the carpet we ordered because what we wanted was on backorder and presumably he did not want to wait to finish and get paid, something we reluctantly agreed to after the fact, but the tile flooring was a disaster. Tiles became loose from the beginning, and while those few were fixed initially upon project completion, S&A continued to look to other causes for the problem as more and more tiles came up over time. In the end, Ed washed his hands of the problem, blaming it on inadequate supports under the house which, even though we fixed, had absolutely no bearing on the problem as even the Structural Engineer said tiles should not have been coming up in areas where they were because there was adequate support. Even the tile manufacturer told us that lack of support underneath the house would not cause those tiles to come up had they been installed correctly. We battled Ed for more than a year, as more and more tile contractors inspected the work he did in our home and said he did not use the proper setting materials and that is why the tiles were coming up, but S&A would not even take our calls. In the end, we had to replace our flooring just within the past couple months and, absolute truth, all but a handful of the tiles in our very large area that was tiled by S&A Construction (hallway, kitchen, eat-in area, bay, laundry room, bathroom, and closet) came up cleanly, in one piece, with extremely little to no setting material on the back. They looked nearly identical to new tile right out of the box. The only tiles that were somewhat broken in being pulled up by the new flooring crew were ones that had been cut and put in corner areas around the project. The other tiles came right up as they would not have had they been installed properly. As if this weren’t enough for you to find a different contractor, any other contractor, Ed was not properly licensed when he did our job, and likely all other jobs he did during that time as well, despite his lawyer telling us he was. If I could give no stars, I would.
Mike Stellpflug: Update (-1 star): after two years, had to basically redo floor tile/stone and grout because the hacks at S&A used dabs of construction adhesive in place of proper thinset, and didn't properly support the floor.Original: Turned out well, but process was very painful.Reactive project management causes many “emergencies”:About 10 requests for our time with less than 24h notice, e.g. "I'm stopping by in 30 minutes to go over the colors". Even if you were clear that you are working and can't go home, he calls again to tell you how he drove all the way and will wait for you to get home.Over-Budget:When I wrote the estimate, I didn't know our electricians would screw up so much (+$500). "Allowances" are great in theory, but then he just buys junk without asking and charges you $300 more than the same thing at Lowes, FROM Lowes (plus labor)!Manipulative:We selected tile in the office and AFTER starting demolition two weeks later, they told us that it had a 2 month back-order (or 4 month, depending on who you ask). We were pressured to use a totally unrelated substitute (on sale?), but eventually convinced him to use our second choice. Update: called to ask for this review to be taken down without justification. The crew is very friendly and efficient, but seem pressured to do hasty work (they often work late hours).Mess:Tire ruts in the lawn. Majority of a broken window still in grass (don't go barefoot here!). Many screws and razor blades in the driveway. Ridiculous dust throughout house and garage, even though work was confined to one bathroom, accessed by the newly stained bedroom carpet to the point that we spent $3k to replace it. On first day, Ed told his crew they were "stupid" for hanging plastic to block dust because it would slow them coming in and out.NOT a "custom builder" (adversarial about design):e.g. "don't worry, we can merge the fan ducts, it meets code" (luckily the HVAC guy new better). "The shower drain you like will never work". "Lights should always face down" (later commented how facing up looked "much better").Redo Redo RedoWhite paint all over stained door frames, door handles, door hinges, outlets, switches, floor, counter, etc. After complaining, 85% of the "oops" were scraped off. I sealed the tile myself because the “waterproof” grout absorbed water like a sponge.ScheduleThe bulk of the work was only a few weeks over schedule, but some of the finishing touches dragged on.Finished productIf you have time and experience to babysit, it should turn out nice.
Chris & Beth Hohmann: We could not be happier with S & A. Ed and his team delivered exactly what they promised and exactly what they quoted in remodeling our kitchen. From selecting the countertops, back splash and flooring to the actual construction, Ed was there every step of the way. Whenever we had a question, he or someone from the office got back to us right away. And we can’t say enough about his crew. The guys were in our house every day for a month (working Saturdays) and were polite, friendly and flawless in their work. If you’re considering a project for your home, I can’t recommend S & A highly enough. They made the process so easy for us, and the results were spectacular.
Gil Golden: I contracted with S&A Construction to build a detached 2 car garage with a gym, bathroom, and storage on the 2nd floor. This was a large undertaking and I knew that good communication would be essential. I found that Ed and his office staff, especially Lora, were always easy to get a hold of when needed and Ed reached out proactively and often during the construction process just to keep me apprised of the project status. They worked very willingly with me to make many custom modifications during the course of the project and they made excellent recommendations and offered guidance along the way. In the end, I am absolutely thrilled with the finished product and they have been extremely prompt in addressing anything that wasn't right, even long after the project was complete (ie, they stand by their work). In the interest of offering full disclosure, we did feel at times that the work crews and subcontractors didn't always take all the time they needed to plan things out fully before beginning work, and sometimes the work crews weren't as clean or careful with things as they could have been. This meant that sometimes the same thing needed to be done more than once to get it right. However, they never once put up a fuss when we needed them to come back to get something right and they always made good in the end.I am a very satisfied customer and every time I enter the space, I marvel at how fortunate are to have such a practical and lovely space. The builder's frequent and direct communications along the way, were exceptional and very much appreciated.

Prestigious Plaster And Drywall: what do users think?
Mike Cales: I needed a ceiling drywall crack fixed and found Tim at Prestige. He showed up on time to give an estimate that was very competitive and impressed me with 40 plus years of experience and a detailed explanation of how to do the job right. He then showed up on time on the day of the repair and did an excellent job in which he thoroughly removed old material and made the repair. Did a complete clean-up and could not have been more of a professional and a gentlemen. Will call Tim for any future drywall work.
Amber Williams: Positive:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueTim was great! He came out and looked at the water damage done to my ceiling, gave me a quote in a timely manner and scheduling was easy. Showed up promptly and did great work. I really appreciate it!
Kara Orsini: Tim was a pleasure to work with, from start to finish. He drywalled shut a door opening for me, on top of a few other small drywall repairs. He stuck to his schedule and estimate, and he explained everything thoroughly to me. He also cleaned up after himself very well, which is great when we're talking about drywall dust. I felt like I was in great hands, and that was definitely the case!
Wendy Penfield: Tim did a fantastic job repairing my water damaged plaster ceilings and walls. I like that he did the work himself. He was on time, on budget and left the space neat and clean each time he left (it was a several day project.) He also repaired some damaged drywall and additional cracks in some of the ceilings and walls. Everything looks great! I'm so pleased and will hire him again if I ever need it!
Stefan: Appreciate Tim's helpfulness and expertise. He was already supportive before the appointment in guiding the taking in of a wall and baseboard due to a plumbing project. Plumbers were gonna cut boards and Tim explained how they SHOULD go about it to minimize damage. Wish the plumbers were as smart as him.He is very knowledgeable, explained the process, and was very transparent and fair in price, saving us from more. While we hope to have no more unplanned, emergency situations requiring drywall repair, we would reach back out for planned projects in the future.
Shirley O'Quinn: I had multiple areas that needed drywall replacement as well as a large area of ceiling that needed to be made ready to paint. Tim did great work and was a pleasure to work with. He was very accommodating as I made changes to what I wanted to have done. I highly recommend him and will definetely seek his help if I have additional needs.Services:Drywall installation,Drywall repair
Adrienne B.: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe hired Prestigious Plaster and Drywall repair to fix a couple areas of drywall that had been water-damaged. Tim did a fantastic job at a fair price. I would hire them again.
Dean Mallen: I know my limitations when it comes to fixing things I break. I was not going to even try and do a ceiling repair myself.I found Tim on another site but I wanted to leave review for him. Tim was super responsive to my quote request. I called him on Monday per his request, he happened to be in the area and came right over to give me a quote. I scheduled him to come out 2 days later and he even showed up early. He was very knowledgeable in regards to the work that needed to be done. He was concerned with the way some of the plumbing was but he found a way around it and the patch looks amazing. He was efficient, cleaned up after himself and his price was reasonable. I would use him again if necessary.
Natali Rhines: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueTim was great. He was super helpful and quick to respond. When he came out to repair our drywall in the ceiling he did an excellent job, I couldn’t be happier. I highly recommend him to anyone and will be using him in the future if we need any drywall work done!
Chris: I was in the thick of a drywall disaster when I reached out to Tim. Against all good instincts I had gone with a friend of a friend's recommendation for a drywall installation job on my garage/work shop and the end result was not a pretty sight. A real mess. Tim responded to my quote request very quickly, inspected the work, wrote me a very fair and reasonable quote, and performed craftsman's magic. I couldn't have hoped for a better outcome- the quality of his work was par excellence. And, he is punctual, time-efficient, and clean (!). I would give him 10 stars if the rating system would let me.
Bridget Hillyer: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueTim did a beautiful job rebuilding a closet for us. It is probably the nicest part of my house now. He guided us in all of the right details for the new closet. The work is high quality, and he got it done on time and on budget. Thanks, Tim!
FSU FSU: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueTim does absolutely amazing work on drywall repair. I was in a pinch trying to get my house ready to sell, he swooped in and knocked it out in a couple days keeping me from rescheduling my home listing. I will be using his services in the future. Great work Tim. Thanks
Holly Wheeler: We needed a last minute repair to list our home for sale. Tim answered the phone when we called (3 other places did not), and he was able to come by the same day for an estimate. His prices were competitive and did an excellent job. Would definitely recommend him for your home project, very professional.
Jody Butler: I had an accident during the holidays and needed some drywall repair. I have used a few different companies in the past that did ok work, but I noticed Tim was in our neighborhood so sent him a message. He responded quickly and set up a time to come take a look at the job and give me a quote. My wife works nights so I had to work around her schedule and Tim was super easy to work with. He came over one morning and did the majority of the work and the next morning finished up. Tim is very respectful, courteous and super knowledgeable. He explained what he was going to do and why. I didn’t want to do the job and waited a while as others who have done work in the past had dust all over the house, even when they said it wouldn’t be bad at all. Well, Tim is the first one I can say honored that sentiment. After his initial work prior to sanding, his work looked more finished than others I’ve seen when finished ready for paint. The sanding was very minimal and literally no dust anywhere. It is the cleanest and best work I’ve seen and will get my business again. I couldn’t recommend him enough. Quality work from a quality guy.
Lori Drum: Tim is a genius! We were in the middle of a backsplash tile project, and discovered that the countertops were cut badly and didn't meet the corners of the walls. We consulted several granite specialists to possibly correct the countertops but none of them would touch it. They suggested having a drywall specialist build out the walls to meet the countertops. We found Tim and Prestigious, and he came out. The gaps were enormous & uneven, and I was convinced there was NO WAY he'd be able to fix it so it wasn't an obvious mess. He said he could do it, and he proved me wrong. No gaps, and he blended it all in beautifully. To quote the tile installer who came afterward, " Your drywall guy is brilliant." The price was quite reasonable, considering how tricky it all was.
Kevin McCuen: Tim responded to my request (submitted Tues evening) for drywall repair service within an hour of my submission. Came over to inspect the damage and provide a quote the next morning (Wed). Scheduled and completed the job the following morning (Thurs). Work was outstanding! My experience with Tim was flawless. Why can't all contractors operate like Tim? I would recommend Tim without hesitation. Thanks Tim!
Ashley Burnsed: Tim did an excellent job on our extensive drywall repair! Arrived on time, super efficient, and left no mess. The job looks great!
Gena & CoaCoa: This company is awesome. Tim was so knowledgeable and I was so speechless at his finished work. He made a bad situation look brand new and i would recommend this business to anyone looking for professional services, awesome work and fair prices.
Jeff: We have a small storage shed on the back of our townhouse, the roof leaked and caused some mold to grow on the drywall in the shed. Tim removed all the damaged drywall and insulation, sprayed the studs with bleach and hung and taped new drywall. I wrongly assumed that the cleanup of the old drywall and insulation was included in the price, a lesson learned for me to ask more questions up front. Anyway, Tim went ahead and got it taken care of, so a big thank you to Tim is due for going above and beyond.
David and Kimberly Brennan: We had a plumbing repair that resulted in the need for drywall repair. We contacted Tim who scheduled an appointment for us immediately. Tim came, was very professional and did a great job on the drywall. We have already recommended him to our friends!
Nancy D: I contacted Tim to drywall an existing TV niche and to frame for a TV mount. He was very prompt at returning my emails and always on time with his initial visit, estimate and subsequent work schedule. His plastering skills were excellent, minimal sanding and no dust. He was willing to listen to my ideas and help me make decisions that made the project successful.

Triangle Superior Wallsystem and Epoxy: what do users think?
Warrad Wujdan: We had our garage epoxied by Triangle Superior around 2 weeks ago and paid $2,000 cash. Both my husband and I, our neighbor and another epoxy specialist believe it wasn’t done properly. I let Eddie know as soon as it was done that the top coat was way too thin and you can feel the flakes when you walk on it which is very uncomfortable and hard to clean. He let us know that that was his system and that if we wanted a thicker top coat it would be an extra charge. Not a reliable company and they don’t care about the satisfaction of their customers.
anthony sulewski: Positive:Professionalism,QualityTriangle Superior is just that…SUPERIOR!!! Got our basement done with epoxy flake and it looks fantastic!!! The guys who came to do the job were professional, courteous and got it done quickly and efficiently!!! Highly recommend!!! 👍
Manasi Diwekar: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueWe had a great experience with garage floor epoxy with them
rick romeo: The team did a great job on my garage floor. I booked the job several months in advance as we were building a new home. Eddie was very flexible in getting our job on the calendar at just the right time. They were prompt, clean and precise in their work and we couldn't be happier with the finished product. One of the best things about hiring Triangle Superior Wall Systems was the price. They were much less expensive than other quotes I received.
Desiree Frizzell: Eddie and his team were so professional and they did a great job!! I would highly recommend them!
Sandee Gronowski: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThe garage floor looks fantastic! Great price and exceptional work! Highly recommend!
Johnny Bland: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThese guys are awesome, did a fantastic job. They were professional, and know what they are doing. I would highly recommend them.
Katie Cutter: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueOn behalf of DoubleTree by Hilton Atlantic Beach, NC we are so pleased with our new kitchen floor! The workers were friendly and professional. Work was done in timely manor and kept within budget! We will definitely recommend and keep you guys in mind for future projects!
Mike O'Dowd: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,QualityThey were very easy to work with and the finished floors look fantastic. Highly recommend them to anyone looking for epoxy flooring!
Anirban Deb Roy: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Amanda Ware: The work looks incredible and the price point was great compared to other contractors. They even offer a military discount. However, it was not a five star experience. The reason I’m leaving a 4 star review is that the worker left a mess behind.
Annette Oh: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueEddie and Kenedy are so professional and alway on time. My garage looks clean and neat after the job is done. I highly recommend Triangle Superior.
David VDG: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,ResponsivenessTriangle Superior Wall Systems & Epoxy coated my 2 car garage floor. They were very competitive on their price, promptness, & had very curtious workers. There are a bunch of businesses that will epoxy your floor. I’d promote Triangle SWS&E to others that are wanting a clean, bright, full-flake coating that is very slip-proof.
Brett C.: Positive:Value
Jeff “El Jefe” Young: Positive:Quality,ValueWe lour new Epoxy coating on our back porch!
Zach Ashton: Positive:ValueExcellent customer service & quality!
L Young: We have epoxy floor / grayish color themed-paint chips applied to our back screened in covered porch/patio. The visual /aesthetic changes are amazing! It’s so much better looking versus plain old concrete- even if that concrete is new/clean. This looks better & is affordable! We are only asking why we didn’t do it sooner! Thanks!
John Scott: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueCrew did an outstanding job, Eddie always responded to calls and text. Very pleased with finished product.
Aidan J. Toland: Positive:ProfessionalismTriangle Superior Wall systems is an exceptional company. Eddie does a great job of the estimate and scheduling. Great prices. Austin and Kevin worked on my garage floor for 11 hours and they take great pride in their work. 5 stars really aren’t enough. These guys are amazing. A pleasure to work with and their work is superb.
Dil G: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueAustin did an excellent job and we are very pleased with the way our epozy garage floors came out.
