Nick DeMarco: I/we have been multiple times. Humble Pie is a Raleigh gem. Christine Albert: We were hosting a 3-day event in Raleigh and had our networking dinner at Humble Pie and have nothing but great things to say about this venue. We rented the entire place for the evening and were so well taken care of. From dealing with Jim as we were planning the evening, to the staff working that evening - everyone was great to work with!We had a buffet dinner went with their proposed menu. Every single dish was AMAZING.We had a few people with dietary restrictions and they accommodated everyone and had all the dishes labeled so people knew what to avoid, if necessary. If you're looking for a venue for a private event, I definitely recommend Humble Pie.

Diana Dunn: The drinks were tasty. Biscuit was too hard and biscuit could have been warmer. The blueberry jam was tasty but the butter wasn’t complimentary to the biscuit. Overall the biscuit is a great value for the price. Shrimp and grits were okay. The grits needed to be cooked a little bit longer, shrimp had a slight fishy taste to it but the lemon helped to overcome that. The goat cheese was a perfect pairing for the grits but overall it needed more flavor, salt, and less liquid; it was swimming in sauce that didn’t really add to the dish. The chicken and waffles were the most disappointing, mostly because they have several different varieties on the menu so I expected more. The waffle was delicious but smaller than I expected it to be. The chicken was so disappointing because the outside was crispy but had a bitter and burnt taste to it like the grease needed to be changed, the outside of the chicken had an insane amount of pepper but the inside had NO salt, NO seasoning, NO flavor at all. The gravy for the chicken was very nice. The pecan pie was the star of the show! The pie was perfect in every way down to the crust. I wish the slice was larger for the price point. Overall, I’d walk in for the pie again but I wouldn’t go for the food, especially considering how much everything cost; the hype of the restaurant, the line I normally see outside the door, it doesn’t add up to what I had today; it was truly disappointing.
Gen M.: My sister made a reservation for 6 people for 10:30am, but the system, for some reason, didn't show it. We were about to be turned around by this young man. But, this nice young lady at the check-in accommodated us. She showed southern hospitality. I will be back again.Overall, it was a nice experience 👌
Chandra Jennings: What can I say about Tupelo Honey that hasn't probably been said. Delicious food, friendly and over the top service, and cool atmosphere. After a very hot and exhausting walk I stumbled into Tupelo and was warmly greeted by the hostess. My phone was on nothing and she offered to charge it for me. And when we found a table near a plug she and the waitresses happily helped me move. I chilled in the corner and worked while taking in the scenery. I love the cool farmhouse feel with pops of blue and dream catchers on the wall.I checked out their menu and there are lots of great options, especially their sides and appetizers! But, I decided to order their original fried chicken with white meat and green beans as my side. The chicken has a touch of honey, which excited me! What also excited me was being able to try the sweet and hot sauce that came with the other chicken. My food came out quickly, so fast! Upon trying the green beans first they were a little flat, but a little salt and pepper helped! Now the chicken--wow! So wishing I would've gotten the half bird as it was crunchy, salty, and sweet all at the same time. Every bite gave me a different flavor and it was so good! The pickles that come with it are delicious as well and so I had to order some more--it was just .50 cent more and they are house made!!So will I be back, oh yes! I want to try their beef and chorizo meatloaf next!

Tiffany Wright: Food was great but parking sucks. Our car and another ended up getting blocked in by a car and the restaurant wouldn’t even make an announcement. They wanted us to call around looking for a tow company to tow the car on a Sunday. We didn’t want to do it. When we called the company they said that they couldn’t do it. The restaurant won’t do anything! Park at your own risk!!!!Update! Had to call the precinct and get the authorities involved. Will call corporate tomorrow

Hillel Dorel: A surprisingly excellent experience. Wife and I are always looking for something good to eat and a good place to eat it, and this was it. The food was excellent, and the service was way above what was needed or expected. If you are looking for some good'ol southern cooking, look no further. This place has it. Looking forward to our next visit.
Stephen Davis: This is one of my family’s go to spots and one I wanted to dine at on Father’s Day. The Hostess, Food and Atmosphere were great except for the young waitress we had who went MIA a few times. She never checked to see if we needed anything after our food was delivered. I actually had to ask another waitress to get her as we 15 mins for the check. With all that we still gave her a 20% tip.Now will we visit this location again, ABSOLUTELY!!! This was our first bad experience here and we have had too many good ones to cancel TH from our dining rotation.
Katherine Beavers: Good - meat and grits had nice flavor but the onion rings were cold and greasy. Green beans mushy and no collards ?!? The menu stated “shredded” roast beef (no such thing). It’s pot roast. Which was good but that’s what the menu should say !Food: 3/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More

dan smith: An eclectic menu that never disappoints and great house cocktails. I had the breakfast burrito at Sunday brunch with the the tot hash and both were amazing. The spicy Bloody Mary is also worth a try. On another visit I got the dirty martini which sits prominently on top of their cocktail list, an excellent dirty martini. And I split the fried chicken dinner with my wife. The serving was generous and plenty of food for two after also sharing a salad.

Teresa Avent: I never review a restaurant the first time that I go. If the service, food, and atmosphere is great, WHEN I return, I will offer a review because I now have an experience to compare it to... Anyway, my second lunch date was Friday June 30, 2023. Ironically, I had the same waitress (Mattie/Maddie?) and she was just as amazing-courteous, accommodating, and attentive- the second time around. Her knowledge of the items on the menu was great and I felt I could trust her recommendation. She gave us everything we needed and we didn't have to remind her of anything. The food was AMAZING! The first time I had the Prime Rib Sandwich and this time I had the BLT and both times I thoroughly enjoyed my food. It was fresh, hot and so good. The service was timely and we had some great people sitting next to us so it felt like we were at one big table at times. The overall experience was certainly a 10 out of 10!

Called the issue to the attention of the manager and he provided a lame excuse saying the special didn’t apply to me because I was taking out- just to opt out of providing special price. Nothing was noted that listed price was dine in only. I will no longer support this business - for sporadic application based on not listed rules.

S J: Parkside Restaurant was a big disappointment after a long train ride to Raleigh, NC. The hostess was not very polite with my party of 6. We were not greeted with a welcome or hello. The 1st thing out of his mouth was "do you have reservations & we cannot accommodate a party of 6"; when their were empty tables available. Then he immediately said the tables were reserved. He said we could eat outside (Very hot with no covering) or at the bar but didn't believe he had enough seats at the bar until another hostess said we have seats at the end. I really felt uncomfortable and out of place in this restaurant but my family was hungry, so we opt to stay. I ordered a BLT with tater tots and my tots were not hot, so I placed another order & it was not hot as well. My granddaughter's waffle was cold with a lump of butter that never melted & my sons shrimp & grits were lumpy. Not the place for my ethnic family. We stayed for over an hour for brunch and no guest came to sit at the reserve table that could have accommodated a party of 6. So I'm assuming this table would be reserved all day! I was impressed with the waitress: She took 6 orders without writing anything down and had all the orders correct. We did leave a big tip for her however; the hostess was short & almost rude when he looked in our faces, as we didn't belong inside. I will not be going back again. Respectfully SJ

Taste, Small Plates & Wine Bar: what do users think?
Jessica Hildebrand: Quiet and enjoyable atmosphere. Seems a bit overpriced. But hit the spot for me atmosphere wise. The food was good but not out this world. Granted, I'm vegetarian so a meat eaters experience could be totally different. The service was great despite only having one bartender working the entire barFood: 4/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Paul Zipin: Eat at the bar. Service was good as well as the food.
Hannah Keister: The customer service at this restaurant is severely lacking, if at all existent. As my family and I were so looking forward to dining here, we were sorely disappointed. Not only were our orders delivered incorrectly, but wait times were excessive. Two in our party respectively ordered the salmon dish, while only one was brought to us. When inquiring where the second salmon dish was, we were told by our waitress that we had only ordered one dish, even though we expressly had two separate orders, each with two completely different cooking temperatures. When encountered with the issue, our waitress then informed us that they were completely OUT of salmon, and would thus have to order a completely different dish. To maintain that is it the fault of the guest that our waitress incorrectly recorded our very specific order is absolutely ludicrous. We then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our replacement dish, which we never even wanted in the first place were it not for their own mistake. Instead of offering any sort of semblance of apology, our server made us feel as though we were in the wrong, and failed to offer any sort of compensation or form of understanding. We will NOT be returning to taste, until they are able to offer even remotely adequate customer service, or acknowledgement of mistake when it is so clearly made.
Jonathan Heigel: Decent food, poor service and kitchen. Won’t be back anytime soon…
Kris Tyndall: Wonderful atmosphere! The food was delicious and the service was exceptional. Carly and Sam were very knowledgeable and took great care of me.

V W: Restaurant was understaffed and employees seemed stressed trying to keep up. We were sat at a table for 10 minutes before menus arrived. The waitress/ hostess was kind and we felt bad for her. When the food arrived it was okay, but a bit overcooked and too much pepper. We understand the staffing challenges and supply chain challenges post covid, so we were patient. However, there were many guests that came in, waited at the host stand to be seated while a frenzied staff walked by without even acknowledging their presence. I really felt like a simple "Hello, we'll be right with you" to guests waiting to be seated would've helped. Willing to give this place another try for dinner, but I don't think I'll return for brunch.
Brittany Mora: Great small plates for everyone. Pleased with the wine list for sure. We'll be back!Recommended dishes Seared Pistachio Crusted Ahi Tuna, Spicy Fried Rice …More
Victor Nwosu: I had dinner at this restaurant for the first time this week and really enjoyed their food. The soft tacos were by far my most favorite from the menu. The servers went above and beyond. I will be returning!
Denise M: Wow what a little surprise tucked off Whittaker Mill rd. Small menu but literally everything was perfect. Greasy staff will be back
F. W.: Delicious and very fresh!
Christian Stevens: They were out of shrimp and grits, came back 25 mins after we ordered to tell us they were also out of steak tacos that 2 of us ordered then came back AGAIN to tell us they were out of potatoes which all 4 of us ordered. This entire experience lasted almost 2 hours for average food at best. Very disappointed and they didn’t offer a discount or anything. Our server also never filled our beverages. All around a negative experience.
Meghan Sielaty: I come here every few weeks and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. All of the wait staff is FANTASTIC! No matter what I order, I’ve been beyond pleased with what I’ve received. My tip is to tell your waiter what you like and let them choose. They always choose the best things! I couldn’t recommend this place more.
steve purtell: Every tapa and drink we tried was excellent. The sliders, pad thai, tacos, dumplings and margaritas. Highly recommend
Susan Hagy: What a find this little gem is! We can't understand why it wasn't overflowing with patrons but can only surmise it's the location. You have to know its there. We had four small plates between the 2 ofus with wine, just the perfectamount of food and so delicious! We had the hanger steak with cremini mushrooms, onion and a delicious sauce, pistachio encrusted ahi tuna with Avacado, the arugula salad and bruchetta with feta. It was all perfectly prepared and amazing flavors. Loved it!
Natalie Mckenzie: We went for brunch. 5 star ambience. 5 star service. 5 star bloody Mary. The drinks were made well and the food is quite delicious. I had the shrimp and grits. The grits are the best I've ever had, hands down. I live in Virginia Beach or I would be a regular.
Nick: Food was amazing. Staff is awesome! Just a all around great establishment. Came with me my fiancée and friends. Made us feel right at home. Definitely will be a spot we frequent. 😊
Allison Alvarado: Probably my favorite restaurant in Raleigh because it checks all the boxes for service, ambiance, food, and drinks. It’s relatively small which makes it the perfect intimate date spot. The menu changes, but the crab cakes and sliders are always a favorite (seriously, get the crab cakes!!) I always finish my meal with their coffee martini.
Grant Masini: Everything I’ve tried has been superb. Love the soft subtle vibe (for weeknights). Give it a shot and you’ll see.
Kevin Buell: Friends, who are regulars, took my family to this wonderful establishment. The small plates style is always fun since you get to have more than one dish. Everyone loved their food. My drunken noodles and grouper dishes were fantastic and my son loved the chocolate pyramid desert. Unfortunately I didn’t have any room for dessert after eating both my plates and some of my wife’s. The server was also very good and nice. Highly recommend this place for your next nice dinner.

TIffany A: Don’t bother with this overpriced place.Ordered the BLTA to go. I received no avacado on the sandwich. The menu clearly states that the meal comes with potatoes and a pickle. I had to ask for them as they didn’t come with my food. Only got the potatoes as they were out of pickles. How are you out of pickles? No one seemed to care very much. Won’t be back - there are plenty of other mediocre establishments to visit in the area.UPDATE!I removed a star because I responded the post that asked me to reach out to them directly - I did. KC: UPDATED REVIEW: Upon another visit this weekend, I am removing another star due to service issues. Our bartender/server was, again, wonderful, and we interacted with a couple other of waitstaff who seemed very pleasant. However, the hostesses at the front seem to have no training in customer service and were consistently rude to patrons who came in. Since the host is the first face of the business a guest sees, it is really imperative that they know how to interact with customers when they come through the door. Related to this issue is the horrendous wait times at this place, which I can note again continued to take delivery/to go orders even though their kitchen was clearly backed up and they were not able to satisfy the needs of their in house guests first. This is terrible practice. Their online waitlist system is also clearly flawed because several parties were told it would be an additional 30-40 mins plus after they had already waited that long before coming in. We eventually sat at the bar which is first come first serve because tables were continuously seated ahead of us even though we had already surpassed our wait time after booking online. Management needs to work on these issues before they lose more customers.******Service at the bar was wonderful despite how busy it was but it took an unreasonably long time for food to be served (this isn’t a huge restaurant, so even with a crowd this should be manageable) and my side order was delivered about 15-20 mins after my main dish arrived. It is my understanding that this location is short staffed, but they were still taking to go orders (also backlogged) which, in my experience, should be paused in order to meet the needs of your in house guests first. Despite these issues, the food was very good and I’d be happy to go again.
Collins: We had a pretty good experience. We had Tristan as our waiter. He was very nice and gave us great service. I can tell he had a lot of tables to manage. So this was not his fault for taking 1 star off. It was mainly because the hostess who brought us to a table didn't check that the table was clean. The table had crumbs and so did the seat. It was a little sticky. So i went ahead and found something to clean it before my wife sat down. Which Tristan spotted what we were doing and tried to help with that. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Hummingbird: what do users think?
dan smith: Brunch on a loading dock.:)Hummingbird does a good job elevating their section of the loading dock (it’s still a loading dock) but let’s face it, you’re here for the food and cocktails and both are very good. The watermelon and arugula salad, like many dishes here, is better than the sum of its delicious ingredients. Well balanced flavors. The chicken and waffles are very good but there are at least three other places in Raleigh doing this better at similar or better price point. And the Pavlova is inspired. I lack the adjectives to describe this lovely and delicious creation that is lightly sweet and crispy/creamy/melty. Just mmmm. House cocktails are tasty and more boozy than most brunch places so you’ve been warned. I expect to be back to do brunch again and do dinner sometime soon too. If so, I’ll update my review.

Brenda Byers-Banks: Wish I could give them EXTRA stars!!!! My husband and I have been coming to Hummingbird every Sunday for a little over a year so it’s safe to say we’re hooked! Their charbroiled oysters, chicken and waffles and ricotta fritters are among are faves but the best part of this restaurant is their staff!!! Dana, Brandon, Raya, Jessica, Kasey, Coley, I could go on, but needless to say they are all the best of the best at what they do and make our visit special every time. We love to see them every week and they take care of us like we’re their family. I couldn’t think of a better place to brunch every Sunday than Hummingbird ❣️ UPDATE: Their summer 2023 menu just came out! Gotta come by and try some of their new items like the shrimp & grits 🤤

Ernie Schroeder: We celebrated a recent birthday dinner at Hummingbird and will definitely return. Every one of their New Orleans inspired dishes was tasty and presented beautifully. We ordered a variety of small plates and enjoyed them all. Their strawberry meringue dessert was a perfect finish to an outstanding meal. As an added treat, Chef Coleen Speaks sat at our table and chatted with us for a few minutes. She is a really nice person, a gifted chef, and a great conversationalist. Good friends, good food, good times!

Tamal Chakraborty: Nice place dog friendly. We went last week and it was sweltering heat so the mist lines were most welcome retreat ! Very nice beer selection overall ..the 4 packs slightly pricy but not too horrible . Food also seems bit overpriced but service was prompt and always with a smile ..would recommend and might give the food another shot this weekend

Tom Reichmeider: I wish the management would pay their kitchen staff fairly by transparently pricing their food appropriately to compensate their employees. Instead they tack on a 3% “kitchen fee” that is mentioned in fine print, and your expected to tip on top of that 3% as well. I’d gladly pay what the food should cost. Just don’t like being tricked into paying more with hidden fees.

Sakura Howell: We tried Wye Hill after reading the online reviews. Food was disappointing. My husband had the fried catfish sandwich which was mostly bun and a fried piece of batter with a couple of overcooked bites of fish inside. I had the kale Caesar salad with salmon. The salmon was not fresh and the kale was raw and dry. Typically kale is “massaged” with olive oil to soften it so it is palatable but this was not the case. The salmon was also over cooked. The service was good until the server asked us how everything was and when my husband showed her the uneaten batter sandwich she said “I’m sorry about that. Do you want a box”. We politely said “no thank you” versus asking why would we want to take it home.I gave two stars versus 1 because I did enjoy the sangria and my husband liked his beer. I would not recommend nor go back.
Grason Clark: Abby was an outstanding server! A group of 5 of my friends and I came over pride weekend and everything about this place was amazing. Their drinks, entrees, appetizers, vibes, and service were immaculate. The kitchen staff was very accommodating when my burger came out cooked less than expected and remade it for me, I was very appreciative! definitely recommend to anyone visiting or local to Raleigh!
Jerry Coy: Great place.Food: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5Recommended dishes Dill Pickle Pimento Cheese …More
PaNDA Housing: Great atmosphere, service and Beer. The food, while fresh, is only so-so and on the bland side. Salmon was seasoned well, but not marinated. The shrimp and grits, i’ve had better at diners. The chicken, just meh. That could all be forgiven, if not for their price. Drinks and a view, yes. Food, no.Food: 2/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Jason Alexander: Deceptive pricing and bad service. This place does every trick in the book to make sure their pricing is as non-transparent as possible. They do not list prices for beers on the menu, rather put a range of prices at the top that all their beers can be, they add a 3% 'kitchen fee' instead of just raising their prices and paying their workers better, and they use the screen pre-calculated tipping option to try and get you to tip more than you normally would compounding on that 3% you were already charged. Our waitress Casey (or cate, can't recall) would only stand at the end of our 10 party table to get the orders, make us yell across the entire table instead of walking around it. She also yelled at me when I asked what the 'kitchen fee' was telling/shaming me "IT IS SO OUR KITCHEN STAFF IS PAID FAIRY SIR". It was just an innocent question, and I'd gladly pay much more than 3% of the listed food costs if it was just included in prices instead of tacking it on at the end to trick people into paying more.Food was good, but the overall experience leaves you feeling like you're being sold a used car by a sleazy guy rather than a pleasant dining experience.
MJ Worldwide: Update | Visited with my family and dog for brunch. There was a bowl waiting for her and Shane was amazing! We really enjoyed our meal. Everything was delicious and fresh. Dog families are welcome here. Thank you.Really caters to beer drinkers and connoisseurs. Food was good, views were amazing. Good for work lunch or for a beer. I’d visit again for work events.Parking: Small walk up a hill from the paid parking.
Marilyn Larsen: Awesome and will visit again and againFood: 5/5|Service: 5/5|Atmosphere: 5/5 …More
Sharon Mcguire: Tried to go to this restaurant while visiting Raleigh. We walked up and to hostesses were rude and told us the restaurant and bar were full. We could get a table in 45 mins. We could see that many tables were empty and no one was at the bar. We asked if we could get a drink while we waited. They said no. All full. Ok. Maybe they didn't have enough wait help, but be honest. Don't say all full when we can see seats at bar, seats along the patio and many empty tables.
kerry beach: As always, the beer and cocktails were great. Staff were attentive and friendly. We ordered from the Triangle Restaurant Week menu and the food was less impressive. Two appetizers, tuna bites and goat cheese with honey, were delicious. The mushroom entree had an overpowering smokey taste, and the prime rib was overdone. The desserts, beet cheesecake and peach upside down cake, we’re just marginal. All this said, you can’t beat Wye Hill for plain old burgers and beer!

M R: I make it a point never to give a restaurant a bad review. I was a GM of a restaurant for 15 years before I started a business. I have eaten here probably 20 times and have loved it. Today again welcomed when we walked in. Waitress greeted us fine. Mom and I ordered and then down hill. First she never came back and mom said it's taking awhile and I realize it was 25 mins. Drinks were empty and people around us were getting food. When I finally ask she said I'll get a manager I wasn't asking for one but if the kitchen is behind maybe we can get an appetizer. She then looked at me and said I told you I will get a manager. I just shook my head cause i didn't ask for one. She came back finally with a refill and said the food should be coming soon. I said nothing and as she walked away to the POSI station she said classless. At the point I will never go back. Remind the waitstaff guest can hear what you say. Thank you.
Aleigha Langtange: The perfect brunch spot. Highly recommend their quiche!Recommended dishes Seared Scallops, Truffle Frites, Sunday Brunch …More
Karen Becerra: We went for Saturday brunch. We were seated right away and the waitress was attentive. The quiche was very creamy and delicious. My husband had the soup of the day which was vegetable and it was good. We will add this to our places for brunch for sure !
