Sommer Hallock: This is the Food Lion I normally go to since it's close to home. Sometimes, their shelves aren't thoroughly stocked, but they are pretty busy.I've been trying to use the self checkout because every time I go through a cashier's line, it smells absolutely awful. This is happening more and more, and I'm not sure if hygiene is a must for this job, but the smell of body odor is extremely strong on certain aisles. The last time I came in the store and the cashier was bagging my groceries, every time he would raise his arms, it was like a huge wift of body odor was pouring out. And this is happening more and more at this certain location. The cashiers are always polite and courteous, but I wish personal hygiene could be implemented a little more for the sake of the customers.

Michael Woodward: Avoid this location if you're looking for any of their more popular items. Orange chicken is out 75% of the time, as well as the chicken soup dumplings. Most recently, one employee blamed the shortage on Tik Tok. News flash, orange chicken has been on every "what to buy at trader joes article" since the beginning of time. This is not new. Yet this store can't seem to keep it in stick. Newport News seems to have no issue on this front. Weird.

Veggies, bakery, frozen foods, dery, home stuff, seasonal, plants and flowers, and more. The best part is that you can buy whatever you want in a desired quantity. They have competitive & lower prices, BUT the quality is so, so. As saying that GOOD AND CHEAP CAN'T GO TOGATHER. For day to day foods and some stuff is good. Not all. Their staff is courties, The store carries cheaper items, which is good for large family, small kids with middle class income. Their some items are cheaper than Walmart.Aldi, which is 1/4 mile and Walmart is about 1 mile from this store. They are the biggest competitors for Lidl. Overall I would like to visit this store for some items as I am sure to get it from this store.

Which is weird that the grocery store has armed guards walking around...the only grocery store in all of Raleigh that has them which is harassing me as I am homeless and this is the grocery store that I use. It is real bothering to be threatened at a grocery store by a security guard when I pay for my groceries...it was the cashier who didn't ring up all of the groceries, different times...and I'm not going to make a scene over something dumb. Puts me in an uncomfortable situation.

With the weight of an impending deadline and a burgeoning case of writer's block, I found solace in the glistening aisles of this seemingly ordinary grocery store. That's where I found him - Samuel. A beacon of hope, adrift in a sea of produce, he was there. When I mentioned my plight, he looked at me with an intensity that could peel an orange, then without a moment's hesitation, he did something extraordinary. He swiftly drew out an avocado from his apron pocket, held it high above his head and proclaimed, "To write, one must live. To live, one must eat. To eat, one must understand the majesty of an avocado." As Samuel sliced open the avocado, he exposed its radiant green heart. This act, curiously, unraveled the tightly wound threads of my literary stagnation.Fast forward a few weeks, when I found myself wandering the aisles of Harris Teeter again, this time in search of the perfect anniversary gift for my beloved. Distraught over my inability to decide between the artisan cheeses and the top-shelf wines, I bumped into Samuel yet again. He glanced at me and then, as if he could sense my distress, he transformed into a seasoned sommelier and a cheese connoisseur right there in aisle six. His recommendations were flawless. When I revealed the items to my wife, she gasped with delight, convinced that I had finally, after years of clumsy efforts, understood her tastes. She even suggested that we should renew our vows. Thank you, Samuel, you absolute legend, you’ve not only revived my writing career but also breathed new life into my marriage. What more can a man ask for from his local grocer? 10/10 for service.

Brittany Bilohlavek: This place has absolutely everything, and more! They have such a variety of grocery items, household items, and lots of fresh food options, made in house. Sometimes I even enjoy going there just to eat in the dining area where there are several choices of food venues. I also appreciate how they have the children's grocery carts where both of my boys can ride in and play with the steering wheels to keep them occupied while I shop. A lot of their own products, the Wegman's brand items, are awesome, such as their flavored, waters, sauces, etc. Only negative is that some of their grocery items I feel are overpriced.

Pricing is comparable to high end grocery stores but the made to order stuff is absolutely outrageous and far beyond the budget of the average person. They clearly cater toward a select small group of the wealthy. And these items are pretty average on quality. Also has a bit of an elitist feel.

Wilson Grove Baptist Church: Tina and Chris at the Sutton Square location in Raleigh, NC were such a tremendous help with a specific situation on a Mother's Day order placed and had to be paid for in advance. It will make my 96 year old Mother so happy that she gets her Quiche Lorraine!! The staff at this store are AMAZING and more that accomodating with my situation!! Each time I am in Raleigh....this is where I am sure to shop!! Bless them for their help!!

Starr Crystal Smith: Tina at the falls of neuse location was an absolute angel. It was my first time in the store and she was kind enough to introduce me to the loyalty program and explain everything to me about how it worked and even let me pause my orders so that I can sign up to get the deals. She was such a warm and welcoming person. Also, the store was so immaculately clean and inviting. I wanted to buy absolutely everything. Wow! I will certainly be back!

Dianne Creech: Love Fresh Market but lost some of it's charm and uniqueness when the"change and addition of product lines" occurred early Spring. We love the vintage Fresh Market as before and the Tuesday specials. Sometimes change is not for the better and this is a prime example of that. What happened to the $2,99 chicken breast and ground Chuck on Tuesdays?? Ugh!!! Only 3 stars for the new Fresh Market but 5 stars for the original Fresh Market.
Lee Davis: When it came time to pick up a Christmas Turkey Dinner, it was pretty chaotic and slow. After waiting for nearly an hour, they brought out the dinner in an insulated box, apologized for having run out of gravy, and shocked me by comping the entire meal! Did not expect THAT and was very moved…..to write this review! THANK YOU FRESH MARKET!
susan Bartone: I was at The Fresh Market on Falls of Neuse Rd on Wednesday, December 21 2022. I had an incredible experience and want to encourage everyone to shop here! I went to the Butcher counter to buy some lamb lollipops. I was asked to step aside and wait while they were being prepared. I stepped a side and knocked over two large bottles of red wine. They crashed on the floor and broke and made a royal mess. Not only did a butcher come from behind the counter to immediate to clean it up, and someone came with her machine to wipe up the wine, The staff was so pleasant and calm. They made me feel better about my accident. They were beyond professional! I was mortified. But they were so pleasant and kind. This was the true spirit of Christmas. I did not get their names But nonetheless they are terrific
Ciara A: Such a clean and well-stocked store. Smells amazing too. My cashier today was a young woman who was so cheerful and genuine. It’s hard to find customer service like that anymore. 3 other people working the floor - 2 younger men and one older woman working in the floral area - also greeted me and were so kind. The store has amazing coffee to sample while you shop. I ended up buying a bag of their seasonal peppermint coffee, after sampling!

UVA 1: I was there on a busy Sunday, but the items I needed were still available, however what really made a difference to me was the kindness and respect from the lady who seemed to be the manager on duty. She treated her shoppers, many of whom may be considered economically disadvantaged, with a kindness and a kind of respect that was truly rare.I watched her help a young black child of about 7 or 8 find the item he was looking all over the store for. That little boy could have been me 30 years ago, and I could only wish I had that kind of shopkeeper to help me before I began to understand how many in the world see me. Thank you.

T Pep: Well organized and clean. Most of the produce was in pristine condition and this was on a Sunday. Lots of gluten free options however expect to pay much more for some things you can get at Food Lion or Harris Teeter.

Diane Scott: Short ribs were not short ribs. I thought they looked too thick, no marbling and the fat placement was all wrong. This was likely a chuck roast cut up into strips. Cooked texture was not right. The meat was slow cooked so the tenderness was there but the wrong flavor and texture. Very expensive pot roast. I'm having surgery Wed and wanted to have a good Sunday dinner before....
