joe devlin: Have used them for years to maintain my pool. They removed my existing filtration system that I maintained, and installed a salt water filter. They have come every Friday for the last 5ish years to maintain the pool. I noticed that when the service people would come, they spent half the time skimming a rather small fiberglass pool installed in 1996. We recently had them paint our pool, and afterwards I refilled the pool… during the painting process they suspended maintenance. After a week or so I noticed the newly painted pool water was turning green…. I tried to start the pump, but was unfamiliar with this system. Thankfully, a week later the maintenance crew arrived. I asked him to show me how the system works. He was very polite, and went through the process. I noticed that the system was indicating a blockage, and also asked why was the skimmer not working. He said that he informed them months ago, but his boss didn’t respond…..he called Jody on that Friday, and he came out and said “ we didn’t do anything because the Salt content was good “…. He couldn’t figure out why the Skimmer wasn’t working, or why
Melissa Brown: I had a terrible experience with Pool Professionals. Their name is incredibly ironic, as they were anything but professional. The company was extremely unresponsive, and it was almost impossible to get a hold of anyone when I had an issue or concern. Their lack of communication and follow-through was unacceptable.To make matters worse, the manager Tray was incredibly rude and unprofessional. He would ghost me when I tried emailing and calling, and when I finally did get a hold of him, he was dismissive and condescending. I would never work with this company again, and I strongly advise others to stay away.To top it all off, when they were managing the Wakefield pool, they caused significant damage to the pool area that required extensive repairs. It's clear that Pool Professionals doesn't take their responsibility seriously and doesn't care about the people they work with. Save yourself the headache and find a different company to manage your pool.
Laurel Norwood: Training was very little to none. Drive alone all day and check on area pools. The equipment is very old and broken. Not given time to actually clean the pools. You have to be in and out at every stop. Higher management does not care about the workers and they are extremely BIASED. Do not get comfortable here, you WILL be replaced at the drop of a hat. Absolutely no loyalty or respect. Definitely would not recommend working here. I worked here until January 2023, so I honestly doubt much has changed. Can't sugarcoat it

If Sarah sees me out in our yard she makes it a habit of waving. When I see somebody new at our pool I'm always afraid we lost Sarah. Just an outstanding employee and worker.

Rebekah Ward: This company manages our pool and it was suppose to open on 5/14, and it was absolutely disgusting. There were dead frogs in the pool, bugs, pool wasn’t vacuumed, etc. As a resident, we are paying for this service and this company is horrible.
PlanwithStormy: I am speaking for the board of the HOA for our community. We are very unhappy with how the 2021 pool season was handled. Around the end of July we lost all lifeguards and Pool Professionals did not provide pool oversight with at least an attendant for several days. We had to request multiple times for a refund of labor costs that had already been paid for. We made the decision in late 2021 to end the contract with Pool Professionals. They were notified (with ample notice) that we were not renewing. They stopped pool maintenance early leaving the HOA with the need to hire the replacement company early to keep the pool from falling into a state of disrepair. We had paid for services until Dec 31, 2021. Since service was stopped before the end date the HOA had to pay double for maintenance of the pool area. Pool Professionals has not handled our community professionally after managing our pool for over a decade.

David McPherson: We had been out of town and returned on Friday evening to find that all electrical power to our pool controls had been interrupted and pool functions had been off for at least 3 days. I left a message for Pool Specialists early Monday morning and Morgan returned my call within minutes. I explained the problem and she said that Craig would be at our home no later than Tuesday AM, but if his schedule allowed, he would come Monday afternoon. Craig arrived mid afternoon Monday and corrected the electrical problem. Praveen Singh: The owner of pool specialist is a person who would NOT take a bad review and would do anything and everything to let down a customer, who provided bad reviews to POOL SPECIALISTS INC. The owner believes, that when ever a customer is providing a bad review, it's customers fault. MJK: I am out of KC and have been trying to figure out what is wrong with my Pentair pool heater that has been working on and off for a year. I reached out too many techs in KC and no one could figure it out. I called this company on a Sunday afternoon and Craig called me back within an hour. He spent time with me going through items on the pentair heater to eliminate problems and find out what was going on. After about 40 minutes we found the problem and I then had it up and running.. Rob Fox: I had a local company install my pool last fall. They did a terrible job. Not only did they not set up the correct drainage for the pool, but they wired the electronics incorrectly. I have a Pentair system. When Craig showed up, he knew exactly how to fix the mess that the other company left me with. He knows his stuff, and his problem-solving ability is fantastic. My remote access now can do things that it never did with the original install, and I understand the system much better. Don't call anyone else for repair.

Just really appreciate how hard the company works to keep my pool clean and well balanced. I have a 35,000 gallon salt pool. The deep end is eight feet so it’s not an easy clean. Alex Saas: I purchased a 27' above ground pool package from Rising Sun. This was at the beginning of Covid and my family was moving to the coast. I dealt with Scott who handled the ordering, etc. I explained that we were moving several hours away and asked what kind of support they offered, especially since I would be out of the area. Scott assured me that Rising Suns would stand behind their products, regardless of where they were. So long story short, during installation we ran across 3 issues. 1st, the pool liner did not fit properly, it sagged in several areas and appeared to be due to issues during manufacture. The second issue was that one of the upright covers warped on one side once installed on the upright. This was another manufacturing issue as regardless of which upright it was installed on or if it was swapped 180 degrees, there was a spot where the metal would buckle. And the 3rd was that there was several screws missing for the ladder installation. The liner would be the biggest issue, the upright cover and screws were very minor and could have been easily resolved. I spoke with Scott several times via email and phone. No support was provided other than being referred to their "installer" who told me to just try and hide the issues with the liner... It's been almost a year since my last email to Scott and no reply and no resolution. In my experience, once you purchase something from Rising Suns, you're on your own. We paid a premium price for the pool as it was right at the beginning of Covid and expected a little more from Rising Sun. I know the options are limited in the RTP area, but I would try and take your business elsewhere if at all possible.Service:Above ground pool installation
Adam Haut: They installed my first and only pool and I’m glad I went with them. The purchasing process was very straightforward and understandable. I used them as my general contractor which I’m grateful for given the pandemic related labor and supply shortages. They were very responsive post-install and so far I’ve had zero issues. I belong to several social media pool groups and I can tell you there are major horror stories out there when it comes to installs. A project this major is not the place to go with the lowest bidder and with the pandemic there were many landscapers who magically became pool installers overnight to meet the demand. I’m glad that I chose a company with a proven history of quality workmanship and happy customers. If I could do it all over again I would have gone with a sand filter instead of a cartridge. Eric Grindley: I have been a weekly maintenance customer for years. But over the last year the service has just gotten worse and worse. The techs don’t do a complete rebuild service or cleaning. Sometimes no one shows at all. For example no one has been out to our house for a month and we are a weekly maintenance account. Nate Neuman: Bought a house with a pool that was installed by Rising Sun Pools, I have tried to get them to come out to look at the pool, but no response from them is what I get. The previous owner and them must have had a bad experience and the pool must be "Do not go back" list. I even tried the respond to a sales link, got a call from the sales guy, he said he will look into it, and you guessed it, haven't heard from him since!
Mwilson4040: What a great operation. I waited until over 1 year after installation to write a review. Rising Sun has stood behind their product and services. Helped us through issues that they could have said "not our problem". Mike and his team are always helpful, and an operation you can count on to do have your back. Latham the fiberglass manufacturer they use is top notch also. You can not go wrong with Rising Sun. Wait for them to install your pool if you have to.

Chase Sizemore: I recently bought a new house and understood the process of closing the pool; however, was unsure the correct process for pulling the handrails and ladder from the concrete and did not want to damage my pool. I hired them under the assumption that they would remove these and cover my pool properly. I was home while they were here and stated that I would appreciate if they let me know if anything was out of whack. Later in the day, I looked out to check on them. They were gone and they laid the cover over the handrail and ladder rather than pulling them. When I asked to pay a reasonable amount for a unprofessional pool closing, I was prompted that a manager would reach out and discuss. They never called until the following month and added a finance charge to my bill. I will not be using them ever again and hope others don't have the same issues with their service.
Anthony Koytek: Rising Sun Pools Installed our inground pool and their entire staff was very professional and pleasant. We are so happy with the results. After a few years we developed a leak in our Liner. They ordered us a new liner and installed it for no charge (under warranty) They also assisted in determining a problem with our retaining wall, working with the concrete contractor that was used to address and fix this problem for no charge. We are very pleased with the results and will continue to do business with them. Our pool looks amazing.
