Thiago Monteiro: We order at least a couple time from this place. The problem is they turn off or take the phone off the hook on lunch time. EVERYDAY!!! This makes harder for us to order the food. We have to drive to the restaurant and order and wait for the food. The phone works before and after lunch time. I've tried 30 plus times in just one day, and the phone won't work. That's unacceptable! At lunch time, people don't have time to drive to the restaurant to order and wait.

malibu1966: Mediocre at best. I ordered a lunch steak fajitas, and the food took a little longer than I thought it should have to come out. The dish was brought to my table by what I would assume was one of the managers. I told him this was supposed to be steak, and it had chicken on it. He immediately took it back and another 10 or more minutes brought out another plate which had the steak but as I had ordered beans with the plate it had rice he took it back and to correct it again. When it came back out. The food was not as good as I expected. Seems like they can't get their small plate orders correct when there's no customers. I won't be back. It's hard to wash your hands to in the restroom when there's no paper towels. Should have known the level of customer service would not be good.
B S: I scheduled a takeout order for a pickup time just before 7pm. The girl that took my order was great. When I got there, she greeted me and was very friendly. The man working takeaway barely acknowledged my existence but after a bit he did tell me that my order wasn't ready. I waited for about another 10 mins for him to tell me it would be ready in a couple minutes. I waited another 10+ minutes for my food to be ready. This is all while watching many drive-thru orders being placed and fulfilled while I waited there. I don't know what the system is there for drive-thru but it did seem curious. I received my food at 7:25. So, calling ahead was absolutely pointless as it would have taken the same amount of time (maybe even less?) to place an order in the restaurant and wait. What an utter waste of time.

The overall appearance seemed to be clean.

On Tuesdays they do have 1.25 tacos either soft or hard. 👍🌮Today I had a fajita taco salad andy husband had ACP he loves it here. I had a strawberry mango margarita.Service is also fast and good. They also have outdoor sititmg, we've brought our dog with us and sat outside on several occasions too.🐾 👌

Bailey Isabella: I’ve been coming to gonza for six years I had not been in about a year. We were told it would be a twenty to thirty minute wait on a Saturday night, we were sat within fifteen minutes. The use of bobble heads to be your place holder in line is a personal touch you can’t go without! Our server was amazing at what he does he walked us through the catch over the day we had nachos garbachos and tacos we had the shrimp and the fish of the day which was a salmon taco with a Passion fruit salsa. it was absolutely ten out of ten we ordered and within ten minutes our food arrived. Robert Mitchener: During the school year Gonza is usually mobbed; but, between semesters in the summer you can usually get in without a reservation.I definitely recommend making this a spot to stop. Gonza Tacos y Tequila has a fantastic tequila menu with some wonderful cocktails. The cocktail menu is limited, but they are all delicious and all the purees are made in house.Jackson our bartender was fantastic making sure we got a good selection of custom craft cocktails! I did get Margarita de la Casa strawberry plus a blended strawberry and passionfruit. They were both fantastic.Megan is also wonderful and very friendly. Making us feel at home. I got a smorgasbord of food including: Chips and Queso, Chips and Guac, Mexican flag, Tamales, coconut flan, churros, and talega.The tamales were amazing and the best item I've had at Gonza so far. The telaga was also amazing, the menu mentions cheese but to be clear it's cream cheese. The flavor is very approachable.If you happen to have an opportunity make sure you stop into Gonza as it's entirely with it.Parking: Depending on the hour parking can be free, but it's mostly street parking.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a ramp on the left side of the restaurant which you can get up into with a wheelchair. The place can accommodate the chair with some low top tables.

I called to place my order and the sweetest hostess answered the phone, making sure to double check my order each step of the way. Hillsborough Street can be hectic at times but there is almost always a parking spot located behind the building - the lot is shared with the Aloft hotel.

Rachel Adam: got the chicken tacos which came with a side salad (wasn’t really expecting much out of the salad tbh) but it ended up being my favorite part of the meal! it was so, so, so delicious - loved the fruity, tangy tropical dressing drizzled on top of it! i think it was a mix of pineapple and mango? and our waitress was attentive and was friendly! and, of course, tacos are always amazing! loved the pico, and the tortilla shells were pretty stuffed.
