Sharlene Cotton: I went in Oak City out of the blue on 2/8/23 and was immediately greeted. After inquiring about a specific card I was looking for, I was told they didn’t have it but could get it for me rather fast. The following day, I received a text message with a picture of the card I was wanting that they located, along with info on price and when I could possible pick it up. On 2/11/23, I was back in the shop, this time to get the card…in 3 days! During this entire process, the staff maintained contact with me and answered all my questions. I am thoroughly satisfied with the quality of customer service I received. I recommend this business and I know I’ll be back in the future.

Heather Marks-Jones: This place is a gem!! A diamond in the rough if you will. This little hole in the wall shop in the middle of nowhere will surprise you. Joe, the weekender, is a sweetheart. It is a tiny place and was having a small town gaming convention when we arrived. A little apprehensive we ventured on to find the Dusty relics of yesteryear. The crowd soon cleared and thinned out and what was revealed is something you no longer see, a piece of history. They sell new old a little of this and lots of that. If there was that vintage sports thing you were hoping to find then this MUST BE THE PLACE! They are open DAILY from 12-7 go see Don, you will be pleasantly surprise at the treasures you find.
Rob McDowall: Was really disappointed in this card shop. Drove an hour + to get here based on all the positive reviews. When I arrived (Saturday mid day), the guy working the register was extremely rude. He said that I’d need to come back on Monday because the owner is not there and he was unable to answer any questions about sports cards. I explained that have a 3 hour round trip to get there and was unwilling to drive back. Guy said that he was the only one working and was there to “babysit” for a pokeman group they had there. Group was all late teens + and drove there. He made the comment in front of all of them which I thought was in bad taste. I then questioned if they are a sports card shop, why do they have someone who doesn’t know sports cards, has no knowledge of inventory and no authority to make a sale on a Saturday, the busiest day of the week, working there? Well guy told me to leave, which I gladly did and will never go back. Note to owner: that guy cost you 400-500 worth of business today. He took my comment as a personal attack but was really directed at the business. They should know their business, staff accordingly and treat customers with respect. I will never go to this place again.

Daniel Whitlock: I have been visiting this shop for a few years now. The owners have always been welcoming and friendly and they have a great selection of merchandise that is reasonably priced. If you play magic the gathering, Yu-Gi-Oh, or Pokemon, this store is a great location to play and build your collection. In fact it is one of the few places that sells single cards (commons) at 10 cents, which is always a great alternative if you are just looking to build a collection or spend a few dollars here and there.The shop also specializes in various kinds of sports memorabilia, jerseys,hats, etc.Though it can be a little cramped during local events such as Friday night magic, this shop is a great place to enjoy your hobby!

However, there is something else here, it's a safe and fun spot to be in the community. With social events, contests and a caring staff, you kinda feel at home. The staff here are amazing. I always talk and laugh with them everytime I go in. I always have a good time. They sell a large variety of items related to sports. Cards, graded cards, retail boxes/packs, hobby boxes and packs, memorabilia, merchandise, card supplies, and much more!!! They even sell Pokemon Boxes/packs and cards. They have a small variety of other TCG type cards. Come on down to Cardiacs and check out the shop! You won't regret it!

Bradley Moore: I love stopping by Cardiacs. I wasn’t able to for a while after a busy year and had been shopping online elsewhere. I finally had a chance to stop in on a busy Friday last week. Sam and Seth, like usual, helped me out—they’re the best in the biz. I picked up an Optic H2, which was a fun rip. I wish I didn’t have to drive all the way from Durham to visit them…but maybe that’s a good thing. Otherwise, I’d be in too often for my wallet’s liking.

Matt Jaquillard: Beautiful shop - seriously, on another level compared to most other card shops I've been to. Staff is fantastic, and I really appreciate that there are always multiple folks around to help so not every customer is waiting on the only person there. And the pricing is great too! I see one of the comments comparing them to online saying "15-20% higher than online", which is a silly comparison. You should expect to pay some sort of premium, but honestly I've found their pricing to be even better than the best price I can find online for multiple products. Awesome store, keep it up!

Gregory Olson: Very large and professional card/hobby shop. Employees were very helpful. I am in Raleigh, NC for a conference and decided to stop in. Brought a 60 card MTG deck but no one was playing any 60 card formats. There were, however, plenty of people playing commander (I chatted with a few of them, nice people) as well as other games. I saw Battle Spirits Saga and what looked like 3 groups playing various types of tabletop RPGs. Like I said, there is plenty of space to play. Magic singles have to be ordered from their kiosk, which requires creating an account. The manager on duty was nice enough to let an out of town person like myself just grab a card, but expect to use the kiosk as it is how they track their inventory. The shop didn't have most of the singles I was looking for, but I also dont play commander, so that probably affects the meta of what they sort and have listed. Also was looking for some DnD figures but they were in-between restocking. All the employees there were super helpful and attentive. If I ever come back, I will definitely visit this place again and hope for some 60 card players to be present.
Jacob Myers: I keep coming to play commander on sunday which historically has been the commander day. Apparently that is no longer the case becuase they keep running 2-3 events that day causing all the tables to be taken. You cant even buy yugioh singles at the shop and some how that player base just gets to take over? The prices are high at GT but i never minded it before as it was a place i could always walk in and get in a few games. After being turn away at the again for the third time recently i cannot juatify driving all the way across town for a chance to play the most popular format in the most popular card gameThe staff are nice though
Trinket: Used to come here every week to play mtg commander on Sundays but they have basically driven us out by planning other events for the same time so all the tables are always taken. I've gone from going every week to maybe once a month, to i literally have no reason to come here at all because they don't support my game anymore and thier events are expensive anyway. Love traveling 25+ minutes to go to a scheduled commander day to get turned away at the door because there no space because they're hosting another event. I have no reason to come here anymore.
Gaio Doria: This is the place to go if you need miniatures, cards, board games, books. It is a geek landmark of Raleigh. In my opinion the best hobby store around the triangle.
Baffling Science: Great place to play TTRPGs. Welcoming environment and friendly staff. They have a great selection of games, dice, cards, and player pieces.

GABRIEL OLSEN: If y’all wanna know if this store is any good, I drove three hours just to come here. These people are amazing! Store was clean and the staff were very friendly with me. (special shout-out to david) Trade in rates for my mtg singles were excellent. After my visit they gave me so many free gifts (playmat, dice, promo cards) and gave me a permanent 10% off discount for all of my future purchases. No other game store has ever made me feel so appreciated like this before. This is hands down the best game store I’ve been to, good job guys :)
