Jordan Rink: 1 star: I placed a "fully refundable" deposit on a vehicle for a day until I could get over there to look at it. SUV was in pretty rough shape and had mechanical issues, waiting for repairs, so it wasn't even drivable. Asked for my deposit to be refunded and they said it would be. Credit card statement came and it was never refunded. I've been calling and emailing for over a week trying to get someone to process the refund but so far no luck.Update: Revised to 4 stars. Refund was processed quickly shortly after this was posted. Overall most staff were responsive and helpful.
Kyla Williamson: Great guy helping me, helped quickly in my time of need. Only complaint is car wasn’t cleaned well, no caps on any tires and some random items in car not belonging to me. Also no spare tire :( I got a flat and was stuck on the road a few days after getting the car. Beautiful car other wise!! Lovely people.

Several things didn't work like the rear deck speakers however in fairness they took $500 off for the speakers but it turned out to be the amplifier. Steven Burtoft: If you do decline the extended warranty, the manager WILL come out from his office and try to pressure you into buying one. I had to threaten to get up and leave in order to get them to stop! That ruined what was otherwise a decent experience. I will never go back there again.
Jennifer Ballesteros: Purchased a 2014 Honda Civic on May 22nd . The first day we already had issues with locking the door and saw that the back door on the right wasn’t opening. We reached out to our salesman Rob about it and he told us to schedule a service appointment, which we did. The appointment was scheduled for Saturday the May 27th, when me and my fiance got there, we were waiting for an HOUR. One of the service guys sits down and tells us “sorry to tell you but they put the wrong door in your car, you will need to come back since we need to order this part” after being told that we waited WEEKS just recently Saturday June 24th they fixed the door. Three days later after this I’m having trouble turning on my car I stopped at autozone to see if there is any issues and they told me i need to get a new car starter. My fiance reaches out to someone at services yesterday (June 28th) and they tell him oh sorry warranty expired. My warranty expired 5 days ago. I’m sure there is someone that can help me!!! Pleaseee! I should of known from the start not to have purchased the car in the first place especially with all the red flags now they don’t want to help me out meanwhile I recently got the door fixed b/c someone decided to put the wrong door part in the car. I’m honestly so dissapointed. I was honestly considering getting another car here but now with these issues i’m having with the car I would rather not.

I will never ever go there again and I will never recommend them to anybody. Beware. Trust me they don't care about nothing but making a sale. Dana Hartley: Purchased a used car here. Less than 2000 miles later the engine started having problems and multiple mechanics have told me the engine has to be replaced. While we all know that used cars don't come with a warranty, I would have expected Southern States mechanics to find this defect before selling. When I spoke to the sales manager about possibly having them donate labor to replace the engine if I pay for the parts, I just got double-talk and a "we will call you". Not surprisingly, I never received a call... Buy at your own risk!
F Cunningham: They were patient with me in finding a car within my budget. The end result was a 2016 Nissan Murano Platinum AWD. I absolutely adore this car. Why every time I come we arguing about something irreverent to HIS job title. When he never had that energy to get me in rental car. I should be the one with a attitude waiting over a year on a “Waiting list” that I couldn’t even see my placement on. I had to go over his head just to even end that years wait on a rental car and within 5 mins I was brought a rental car out. He needs more Attention applied to His job then having so much to go back n forth about with his customer he barely even assisted.

daniel marriott: I had been looking specifically at a Honda Odyssey online. Within 500 miles, they had the best priced one. Lucky me, considering it was a less than 30 minute drive. Lol.I met a car salesman named Brian. He was drenched in sweat because he wanted to wipe the car down for me before I arrived. I thought it was nice but hey, I'm always a bit leary of any kind of salesman right? Well he proved the stereotype wrong. What a nice, honest guy. He really does mean everything he says. Not once did I have to worry that I was having a fast one pulled on me, or that I was being ripped off without knowing. Example - I test drove the car and felt a slight vibration in the wheel. I told Brian when I got back and he right away said let's take it out again. He, being a previous mechanic himself, knew right away something was up. They told me they'd fix it and they did. I actually purchased it before it was fixed. He then a week later, DROVE to my house , picked it up, took it to the mechanic to be fixed, and then drove it right back to my driveway. Awesome right? Best experience I've ever had out of the 6 cars I've bought.Jeremy, the Finance Manager, was also fantastic. No pushing things you don't need. I got a warranty because I personally wanted one, but not once did he try to force anything else. Super friendly,relaxed, laid back. I couldn't believe how fortunate I was to find this place. If I ever need another used car again I know exactly where I am going.

caitlin stoutt: DO NOT GO TO ANY JD BYRIDER!!!! i bought a car from them at a location in Ohio, thought everything was great. Had my mom go buy herself a car at this location in Raleigh. NOPE BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! my car completely stopped working 5months into having it. They had me buy a “warranty” just to basically say oh well it’s not covered. I’ve had my car for almost 2 years now and it still does not work. Took it to an actual mechanic and it has $6,000 worth of things wrong with it. I reached out several several times for help. And I never get an answer. I asked them to come just repo the car back and they said “no it’s not worth it, the value of the car is not worth recovery” so they knowingly sell bad cars. I bought a car that worked for 5 months and owe $11,000 on it. And it’s KBB value is now $3,000. Moving on to the vehicle my mom bought. On the second day of having it. She was on the side of the road with a flat. Turns out the rim was cracked. They took care of it. Fast forward 7months car is having major issues. They won’t fix, they also had her buy a warranty that again doesn’t cover it. This company preys on the people trying to recover their credit or stuck in bad situations. Please do not believe the act. Do not buy from here. We’re in severe debt now with nothing to show. Don’t buy.

Tosha Fulmore: I really like my car, but they didn't do a good job detailing it, which I didn't mind at first. While vacuuming the backseat (it was a lot dirtier than I had realized), I discovered the metal tracks that the front seats sit on, are RUSTED. The metal pieces by the seatbelts are rusted as well, which gives the impression that it has some water damage (which was marked as a NO in the car report). I also started having issues with the A/C glitching. When I called to speak with Russell, I told him I had some concerns and wanted to discuss my options if I had any, he immediately said "No" without really caring to address what my concerns were. The car buying process was cool (of course) so I initially left a good review, but I had to come back and be honest about the whole experience. Feeling a little screwed over but I guess its a lesson learned.

TheHeartTheHome com (Chris Cooke): Drove down from Greensboro a couple years ago to buy a black 2010 outback 3.6r from this place, they never disclosed that it was covered in hail damage and it wasn’t visible because the car was wet when I came to look at it, and it has been one electrical problem after another since the day I drove this car off of the lot. The rear liftgate leaks like a sieve into my vehicle anytime it rains and has been doing so since purchasing the car here. I tried to reason with the guy with the issues that I saw on site the day I came to look at and purchased the vehicle but was unable to reach any kind of a reasonable deal with the salesman, he was extremely smug and really didn’t feel as if there was any sense of truth going on here. I would never recommend anyone buy a car here, they knew I drove all the way from Greensboro and the guy really stuck it to me because of that.
Victoria Pevarnik: I called in to ask about the car and a car fax report. The gentleman explained to me that they didn't have one because the dealership they got the car from had them and they weren't going to pay for one. There wasn't much information listed online about the vehicle, so I wanted to have more information about it. After a short discussion on that being a service offered that could be offered to customers, he proceeded to say in offense that he could include that and then add it to the price and then he hung up on me.While on the phone, I mentioned having a friend come and look at the car for me. I would be traveling some distance for the car so I had them take the initial look for me. When my friend went to look at the vehicle of interest, he started to ask questions about the vehicle. The salesman asked if he was my friend and when he said yes, he said that he doesn't want any business from me. I was shocked. I did nothing to deserve this kind of treatment. I was very interested in the vehicle and I don't think that any customer should be treated such a way for asking for proof of a cars service record and condition. I feel like this place should be reported to the BBB. I don't understand how anyone could have rated this place highly.

Vivian Olkin: I was shopping for a used Toyota Avalon XLS or Avalon Limited, went to several used car places. Most every one was a typical used car salesman until I went to Stone Cars and experienced people who were not pushy and who knew their cars. Gary and Doug are brothers who have been in business for over 20 years. They are picky about the cars they buy. They work on the cars themselves or get the work done if they can't do it. They told me they replaced the rear brakes before putting it on the market because that would be a problem for any buyer. I had the Avalon Limited that I bought from them checked out by a mechanic who said there were only 2 things wrong--the struts for the hood (they were already replacing these) and the tires. Gary supplied 2 new tires, I bought the other 2. I thought they were honest, caring and easy to deal with. When I'm ready to buy another car, I'm going to them first, and already recommended them to some friends. Also, I love my new-to-me Avalon Limited.

Jordan Porter: My husband and I came in to test drive two cars. We liked the cars, but ended up not getting a car from here because the numbers didn't make sense. Anyone in sales should know that if your prices are not comparable to what a competitor is offering then no one is buying from you. We told Clay that we wouldn't be purchasing because he wasn't offering us anywhere near as much on our trade as another dealership. That's not the issue though.I understand that's business and we ended up purchasing a vehicle elsewhere that met our budget and needs. My issue is after we told him no deal he insinuated we had a problem with him personally. You are in the car sales business, you should know if the money isn't right I'm not buying anything. Insinuating I have a personal problem with you and taking a business situation personally is unprofessional in my opinion. Sales is a tough gig I get it. But to then hold our keys hostage so we couldn't leave after we walked away is unprofessional. We told you no deal and that should have been that. So glad we went to Leith instead where we were treated well instead of like personal enemies.

Bav worked with us from start to finish for about 5 hours while tring to get stuff straight with the bank, insurance etc. and never left our side making us feel like we was home and we were family I’ve dealt with a lot of salesmen and Bav is the most professional and the most helpfulness one yet if I could give 10 stars I would best experience I’ve ever had buying a vehicle and will be back his way when it’s time for our next vehicle. If your looking a new car head to Hanna imports and ask for Bav you wont be disappointed

karma: was sold a lemon, when tooken back to the dealership they claimed they fixed it but they only cleared the codes. car is completely going out and Moe the owner was very rude and did not want to take the car back to fix it. my check engine light is still on and car stops driving and shuts down on the highway and they did not fix that problem either. DONOT BUY FROM HERE and the owner when he test drives them he brings them back messed up, my ball joint is loose, tire wombling and every light on the dash is on. there's even a rattle in the engine now because Moe the owner, floors the cars. i highly donot recommend buying cars from this dealership at all. they have a ton of cars sitting to get fixed that they have completely did nothing to. DONOT BUY FROM HERE
