Natalie Woods: I love this Ulta. The staff is amazing and so is their customer service. I just was in the store about 5 minutes ago and they had just opened. Most of the staff was stocking but I needed help with finding what I wanted and they instantly dropped everything to help me. They did not complain about helping me or even give me a sense of they did not want to help me. I usually go to Sephora at Crabtree and their staff is nothing compared to this one. They always jump to help me with all my needs even when I do not know what I want exactly. This place very comforting because I always see a friendly face when I walk through the door. Even when the line is long they still make sure every customer is taken care of quickly and effectively. Their staff is one of the best staffs I have seen in the Triangle Area. I love this staff and this store!!

Deb Karber: I had coupon on my phone for $3.50 off purchases, however, it scanned as expired even though it was active for 3 more days. Therefore, it did not ring up the $3.50 off the total. I didn’t realize this until I got home. I went back to same store and they told me I had to have the products in order to get the $3.50 refund. The inexperienced cashier had a major meltdown and then had another cashier come help. This person also said I had to have the products to get the $3.50 refund. They finally decided to refund the entire bill and to ring it up again using the $3.50 coupon. The inexperienced cashier needs more training, especially with customer service!

She is the ONLY person I will let touch my brows now that I've found her. If I can't get an appointment because she is all booked up (which she usually seems to be so definitely make that appointment a few days ahead of time) then I wait for her and only her bc my brows have come such a long way from how they once were. Thank you Mandy!!! A womans brows shapes her face and make up such a huge part of how we look and feel and you can tell Mandy loves what she does!!

GG R: Avoid, unless you like a Head Banging time.Ulta Salons have gone downhill. Was just in the Poyner Place location and the stylist there was very rough/aggressive when washing my hair. Instead of setting my head back in the porcelain wash bowl she just let go and dropped it. The back of my head hurts and worse when touched. I’m pretty sure it’s bruised from this. Also while brushing my hair it was like she kept banging the brush to my head. Didn’t listen to anything as to the way I wanted my haircut. It looks worst then it did when I went in. At least the color was good. Will definitely NOT be coming back.

After 30 minutes of searching I finally found one in Clinique. Bamboo Pink, so beautiful glad I found this hidden gem 💎 Either way I love Ulta they just need product in stock to make it better. Heidi Barbera: I love buying at Ulta, but I went a few days ago to get a product for my flyaways and the girl who I asked for help was so nice, I couldn’t remember the exact product I got before and she wasn’t sure what product could work for me, so she went to find the manager, not sure if the woman the girl stop and asked for help was the manager, but that woman that the girl asked for help was SO rude, she looked at me and seemed she decided I wasn’t worth the help, she told the girl she didn’t know what could help me, looked at me again head to toe and made a rude gesture I was so uncomfortable. You need to do better, this woman: black hair, blue eyes should be fired, extremely rude. Not sure I will be back there after what happened.

Mike White: Welp, just like many stores in the past few years, this store has gone downhill sadly. You don’t get the same service as you would have gotten back in like…2014? What happened? Also, we just picked up an online order and realized that the item had already been opened and used. We’ve never had that happen before. The only way that can happen is if an employee wasn’t attentive because it’s easy to tell. How an obviously used product went back on the shelf is beyond me. Maybe the person who returned it lied about not using it? The seal (one of those clear round stickers that keeps a box closed) had been broken and the contents looked like they had been used. I’m only giving it one more star than I otherwise would have given because this did used to be a good store. I don’t think I’ll be returning to this one. Hopefully the others haven’t gone downhill, too.

W. L.: Went in to Streets at Southpoint Mall Nordstroms in Durham today for some new bras. The associate that started helping me put me in a bra I was very uncomfortable with and then left to help another customer because she didn't think I would buy? I asked a second associate (shaved head, younger, Erika?) for advice. That associate worked with me for an hour. Corrected the fit issues of the first girl immediately and without a tape measure. She then bought me in more bras I loved as well as underwear she recommended; Natori underwear and I am totally in love with them!Imagine my shock and surprise when the initial associate requested I be checked out under her account id at the register in front of other customers. I guess they work on commission, and if that is true, the first associate deserved a negative commission. I really wish I would have gotten her name.Let's be honest. The first lady spent less than 10 minutes helping me, gave me an ill fitting bra, told me it looked good, then left me to handle two customers that were together (commission?). Erika fit me correctly, stayed with me for an hour and made me feel like I was the priority rather than the sell. I will always request Erika from now on. I recommend that anyone wanting a professional fitting go here and schedule an appointment with Erika.

Drew Brock: My boyfriend and I had bought several items of clothes and after finding out one of the fabrics in a shirt we had bought caused us both to break out in red hives like spots and be uncomfortable we decided to return the others like it that we had not worn. While talking to one person about the wanting of a return she had grabbed our clothes after being asked not to just toss around the clothes so the tags were not lost as we were matching the tags to the items she just grabbed them anyway and walked off to another counter, apparently losing or getting rid of the tag, and disappeared never to be seen again. Another associate then started to process the returns and even with a receipt and the tags for other items wanted to claim the clothes were not even bought at the store and began to be very rude immediately. After a complaint was made about how the other associate had just yanked up the clothes previously they then began to state that there was no way whatsoever that they could or would attempt to look at the account purchase history that would show the proof of purchase and when we complained about his attitude another associate chimmed in and began to berate us for reasonably expressing our concerns of the situation and when defending ourselves the person who claimed to be the active manager began to become more aggressive and had then refused to even finish the transaction any further and the lady, who then decided to whip a badge out claiming to be with lost prevention, began to just shout to get out of the store just started grabbing our items, shoving them in our bags and the two pretty much just threw them at my boyfriend and proceeded to force him out of the store while the “active manager” began to make threats of how he gets off at 10 and will be in the parking lot then and he would show us what’s what while calling him a slur towards gays and then proceeded to body check my boyfriend forcing him to the ground as he was being forced out backwards. Whoever this “active manager” was needs to not be in his position, let alone in a store like this. If he treated us like this on the sales floor, as customers, then it makes me wonder how he and this lost prevention person could be treating the employees behind closed doors. The store itself is a great store, all the other associates we’ve interacted with previously have been wonderful and it’s much closer to home than the other in Charlotte but after this I don’t believe my boyfriend and I will be returning to this location any longer as, especially while this member of management is still there, we don’t feel we would be safe shopping there any longer.
Christian DiMaria: Drove an hour to get here and for the sales rep to tell me, “We do not carry parfums de marly in store, only testers. We can order it.” That’s not why i drove an hour, every nordstrom i ever been to has them in stock.
Bryan Case: Durham location is in a dying mall. It's the kind of mall the will have the Halloween store there in a few years if they don't polish up the place and draw the better stores back. Nordstrom itself didn't seem to be as well stocked as other locations.
Lee Davis: I had a great experience here today working with Amanda. I needed a few shirts for an important event. Amanda assisted in picking out just what I needed and gave me great feedback. She had me on my way quickly. She was Very friendly and treated as a valued customer. I looked around and noticed others receiving great customer service as well. The store had plenty of staff on hand. If you can get in mid week during the day, it was not crowded at all. Also, great quality merchandise.
Michael Leslie: I have purchased dress clothes (suits and pants) on several occasions. I am very happy with the material and fit in general but the alterations are the problem. All of the pants need to be hemmed to size but every pair of pants I get hemmed the hem comes out with in weeks! I have complained about this to the sales person and to the alterations manager. Everyone is very nice but "just bring it back" does not cut it when it happens on every pair of pants I get. I like the clothes and the atmosphere at the store, but I will probably shop at Brooks Brothers or somewhere else in the future.

I take the item(s) to my normal tailor and it’s done with no problem. This “perk” as a cardholder is useless.

Jessica Starbird: I had an AWESOME experience with Lenae (who’s name I’ve almost certainly spelled incorrect- sorry!). They were fantastic! I’d booked a Personal Shopper Service online and when I got there (early) they’d already read my notes, had ideas, and were willing to explain everything. They were also just so personable and put my apprehensive self at ease. It was exactly what I needed, and their recommendations were perfect. 10/10 would recommend.
Chrystie S: Went to return something I purchased online that I used Klarna for at check out. First cashier person that attended me was super nice and tried to figure out why the machine was asking me for a card, when Klarna doesn’t use a physical card. The second associate who came in to figure it out said I had to give the same Klarna card I used, but again there is no physical card. She was super unhelpful and also made no sense and kept asking me to come up with a card that didn’t exist or take store credit. I went outside and called Sephora customer service and he said that I’m correct there is no physical card needed to process the return in store for Klarna. The Sephora customer service processed the return for me on the phone thankfully and apologized that the store person gave me a hard time. Thankful he helped and I’m getting my refund without even having to return the product. I would say don’t bother coming in here if you used a virtual card online for your order. Just call Sephora customer service on the phone and they’ll be more helpful :)

Deandres Sanders: So I visited from Texas for a week with no makeup and 2 formal/semi formal events. I knew what I wanted which was the IT Cosmetics CC Cream with 50 SPF! Tik Tok had already sold me on it ( the coverage is AMAZING). Well I used the shade finder tool and was stuck between 2 shades so I found my nearest Sephora! I was helped by the Beautiful, knowledgeable, personable and PATIENT Raena! Representation matters and it can be really tough finding a stylist of any sort let alone makeup who understand skin of color. Well Raena went above and beyond in my eyes. She also suggested a couple of her faves after probing me to find out what I really needed and wanted! She also gave me the most cost effective route seeing as it was just for 2 days. After partying till 6 I’m the morning both days I will be purchasing the O/S “On til Dawn” setting spray and and setting powder as well as the Sephora concealer. It’s also important to know that my skin can get very oily. Just before an after party I would spray my brush with the setting spray and tap my face and it would look as if I just put on my make up! I know this review is lengthy but I want y’all to feel me lol I also rarely do reviews so yeah…. My hair stylist and Raena had me feeling myself I was getting so many compliments. Give Raena a Raise Sephora she is amazing!
Jennie Perry: The store itself is beautiful, but at this point, I’ve had multiple negative encounters with a staff, and it’s rubbing me the wrong way. The first time it happened, we were checking out and the girl checking us out, was very chatty and was educating us about the product we maybe asked one question. As we were leaving, we overheard her complaining about how she had to talk to us to the next customer. That left a really bad taste in our mouth.We then came back because we were so excited to get one of the new lip oils from rare beauty. When asking about the availability one of the staff rudely cut me off and asked, “what’s your question.” Then proceeded to cut me off again as I was explaining my question, asking me “exactly what shade are you interested in.”Overall, I can’t figure out for the life of me why the staff come off as entitled and rude here. I really would not like to go to Southpoint just to pick up makeup, but at this point I’ve had three encounters that make me feel uncomfortable. They need to do some retraining and teach them how to have good customer service. We are the ones paying and visiting your store. Make us feel welcome because at this point, I don’t want to go back. Honestly, I’m now going to order the lip oils directly off of the rare beauty website instead of Sephora.

Giselle is half my age, young, stunningly gorgeous and NOT the least bit condescending which was my biggest fear walking into this appt. She openly took all of my comments and ideas into account and another coworker even jumped in excitedly to help us!! I walked out after an amazing hour of girl time with amazing products, tips and tricks, and can’t wait to share pics with her from my big day 💗 If you need advice or a lesson, Giselle is your girl out of any of the RDU area locations.

The “manager” called me I had told her my experience and she didn’t want to hear it and said she could get a few free items delivered to me since I had a bad experience & I told her I didn’t want anything free to just get her staff together & she went on with the it’s not free product…… if it’s not FREE why are you saying your going to send me a free items? Any professional manager would of emailed me saying it was nice speaking with you blah blah blah but in this case she didn’t they don’t care. This is why they have bad reviews staff and manager don’t care about the customers.
