Savvy Homes: what do users think?
Chesty Puller: Savvy homes are quick homes to build and not what you would expect for the price. One year in drywall pops from settling one or two I get it but not one or two in every stud. After this past hurricane and having to look “under the hood” from the crack in my first floor to the bare minimum nails screws and dont get me started on how they run electrical boxes. Light switches to places that don’t exist. Habitat for humanity builds more sturdy sound homes. Avoid at all cost and customer service it’s a unicorn. Good luck.Update: There's a reason they are losing contracts to other building companies... Buyer beware.
Katy LaFoe: Terrible quality homes, that are made and built quickly. Wavy walls and baseboards, crooked outlets, faulty and incomplete electrical work, uneven installation of lighting, nothing is even or straight, they use the cheapest materials possible and even cheaper warranty work. Warranty work looks worse than before they fixed it. Don't waste your time or money, you'll be spending more just to fix what they didn't do correctly. Run
william copes: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,ResponsivenessCheap!!!
Andreina Diaz: Positive:Quality,Value
Kristopher: We could not agree more with all of the (negative) reviews here.Sloppy work.Unprofessional contractors and warranty team!Nail pops. Extremely poor ceiling work.Rear deck banister rails fell out within the first few months.Fridge doesn't dispense ice.Stove lights works at random.Very poor communication from the warranty department.Don't bother calling them out, they will patch it only for the problem to return again.General contractor built a shoddy set of steps made of stone to step up into the front door. The inspector made him take it down. Why wouldn't he know this information.Asked Robby in the warranty dept to leave my house and not to return because of his rudeness. Mostly directed toward a couple of hispanic painters that were there performing warranty work for pop marks.I replaced some of the ceiling lights and found missing screws from the mounting brackets. Not what you would expect.
Hanna Basham: I love my home. Purchased in 2015. Still love it. We did most upgrades ourselves, like did our own backsplash and tile flooring. Love my home. Savvy was great to work with.
Uwera Angelique: Absolutely horrible experience ever. Terrible construction, horrible customer service. I guess now AV homes has taken over but their customer service in the warranty department hasn't changed one bit. Who hangs up on a homeowner trying to express their frustration of being ignored for months? Denise you have the worst attitude for a so called customer care personnel. One of these days these people will get hit with a lawsuit maybe then they'll learn not to short change people.Haven't lived in our new home for even a year yet, and Can t wait to get rid of it already. We were looking for our forever home but this one is not going to be it.
Mary Taylor-Jones: Worst home ever! Shoddy construction. I don’t know where to begin. Siding fell away from the home during the first thunderstorm (not even a major storm). The island that supports the granite slab is bucking! Granite is cut and placed crooked. I can go on and on and unfortunately that’s all minor comparing to what we are dealing with now! The home appears to be hastily thrown together and just shabbily constructed. My childhood home was built in the 1970s; it has experienced less problems then the current house I’m living in now. I will never purchase another Saavy home!!!! House sucks and warranty sucks..No one takes ownership of the problems that came along with the house and no one there to help correct the issues. All I can say is “There is no honor amongst thieves”. I did not get what I’m paying for...
sherri combs: I love my Savvy Home. YES we have had issues but they were addressed or has been documented for future evaluation. We have been very pleased since Richard has been on site. He is always walking the subdivision checking all the houses, cleaning up and keeping on top of the contractors. Anyone buying a house on Richard's watch will be very pleased.
emily dow: Moved into a new construction home December, 2017. The process was a smooth and enjoyable experience until our 21st DAY living in our new home..a rainy day led to a LEAK in our home from an unreachable place. After countless emails and voicemails to the emergency line, the warranty department, etc. we are now ONE week later with absolutely ZERO resolution. The builder himself is aware of our urgent issue but still, nothing has been done. We have a LEAK from their poor attention to detail and now we are paying the price and regretting our purchase.
Beth Anne Cooke: This has been the worst experience buying a house we have ever experienced. We have numerous issues that have yet to be resolved. We keep getting brushed off and called “petty”. That is not any way to treat your customers. There are still houses for sale on our street. We will be sure to tell those looking not to buy a Savvy home, as they will be super disappointed.
brashin7: We purchased a home for roughly $500K from Savvy homes back in 2015. Even before purchasing the home we had a home inspector come by and found moisture in the crawlspace. Savvy homes stated that they would take care of the issue. Throughout the first year Savvy came out on 2-3 different occasions to try and fix the issue. Rather than take an approach of fix it right the first time, Savvy would simply regrade the crawlspace only to see moisture in it months later. As we approached the 1 yr walkthrough we agreed to wait 6 more months for another inspection to see if regrading it would work. We have now passed the 2 yr mark. Savvy came out checked the crawlspace and saw the moisture...we also had multiple contractors come out and agreed there was moisture and MOLD is starting to grow. They recommended to place a dehumidifier under the crawlspace and check the drain lines. Savvy stated they would let us know in 2 weeks what they would do to resolve the issue. We are now going on 2-3 months now and we have made numerous calls, voicemails, e-mails and everyone at Savvy has apparently disappeared. Everyone you speak with at Savvy is always very nice and assured us that this would be the time they would fix our issues...however no one will answer or return our calls and emails anymore. Do I have to take Savvy to court in order to get them to stand by the agreements they had in place with us??? Could I recommend others to buy from Savvy...NO as they simply want you to sign on the dotted line and cut and run.
justin caspar: Like the house. But Savvy didn't stand by their word to fix a problem with the slab floor - It has displaced into two levels. Even after the vice president and their Professional Engineer, George Aiken came out and assured me it wasn't going to fall. It is now a 1/2 inch difference.
JD Young: Horrible experience! If you have issues with your home you have a better chance of reporting them to the BBB. They seem to be more responsive to protect their rating than you contacting them directly.
Joshua Andrews: Several severe discrepancies with the home that were pointed out and never fixed. They are liars and build poor construction. Be careful!
zbass BoOm: BUYER BEWAREShoddy construction and the cheapest materials they could find, warranty department that is clueless, 'customer service' are words they don't even understand or can pronounce.350K+ house, and the tile work is uneven everywhere, the hardwood floors are falling apart, the siding is melting. Handrails are coming off the wall, the list goes on and on.IF you are past your 1 year 'warranty' and have not reported ANY defect to the Builder warranty company they use after the first year. You will be rejected for any repairs. The 10 year 'warranty' the give you is useless, and non-existent.Class action is coming, there are a lot of people in our neighborhood with the same issues that have gone unanswered or are brushed away with 'homeowner maintenance issue'
J.B. mac Mayercsik: We've had such a great experience with this builder. They respond quickly to us every time we've had a question. They are beyond helpful.
Natalie Smith: Horrible. No one gets back to you. I've requested someone to reach out from warranty in regards to a list of issues. One being a fixture above one of the sinks in the bathroom that was hanging on by a wire. A month with no response I come home to a mess as the fixture fell. Absolutely unacceptable. Caulk coming apart from the wall and counter top and the home is only a few months old. Tub kit was damaged when they were installing fixtures and instead of replacing the tub kit they tried mending with some type of product to cover the hole which you can see when looking at the tub. To me that's a temporary fix. If you installed something and ruin it, if I'm buying a new home it should be replaced. Not some half ass fix that looks terrible. Any paint we asked to have touched up during our walk through was done but with additional paint also added to the floor. I wouldn't recommended Savvy to anyone based off my experience and we've only been in the home for five months.
Patrice Johnson: Horrible!!!!! Don't buy from Savvy Homes. Looking to sell soon.
Kristen Lessmam: They don't even deserve 1 star! The worst built homes ever! Our outlets went out twice, the floors and walls are uneven, cheap MDF crap, my chairmolding fell apart and had to be redone, my foundation is cracked in my kitchen!! MY hardwood floor is coming up and I've only lived here 2 years! Plus they find every excuse in the book not to fix your house when they do finally respond! Run away, far far away!
Billie Jo Brackey-Hodack: Worst home buying experience our family has ever been through. From the seller agent adding another "friend" agent as our "buyers agent". "Buyer" agent made $9,000 off our closing and didn't get our home add-ins recorded so WE had to pay extra $1400 at closing and then the buyer agent couldn't even make it to our closing. The selling agent complained about any item needing fixed before closing. We didn't get the keys to our house until days AFTER closing. The water furnace was never turned on b4 handing the house over to us or ever shown to us where it was located!!! We were told so many lies about we don't live in a HOA community but once we moved in, suddenly there are more strict laws than any HOA would cover!!! (Landscaping especially) We've been in our SAVVY home 2 months with still SO many things wrong with this house, i.e. Doors don't shut huge settling cracks only 2 months old, ALL 3 shower doors gush water out all over floors and it's almost impossible to plug anything into any of the outlets! The loan officer the selling agent pushed onto us still has not sent us any paperwork to even pay the mortgage... I would never buy a SAVVY home again. Sorry.

LGI Homes - Brinley Manor: what do users think?
Ebony G: Update!Communication is key! Horrible customer service and liars. To see other new home owners experiencing the exact same thing as we did and worse, is astonishing that a news company has yet to come out here to reveal the lies LGI has done. These builds are cheaply made, the landscaping is horrific, the plumbing is sub par, and the customer service of this staff is reduced down to cheap car salesman looking to get your hard earned working money then leave you with a wreck to fix. Lgi stop leaving these basic repetitive replies and have moralsService:Landscaping
devonne davis: Critical:QualityBeen in home less than six months. Garage and patio concrete has multiple cracks. Was told by LGI rep that it’s cosmetic. Totally unacceptable for a new home. Multiple other issues are starting to pop up. Very poor quality!Services:Garage design building,Flooring
HAIRSTON FAMILY: Evan is a con artist, he tried to put us in a home that was way over our budget. He even finessed the paperwork to make it look like we made more then the info we provided all to get a sell on the higher home. Then when we picked out the home we wanted and I gave the deposit to hold the home. They ended up selling our home in less then 48hrs to someone else and keeping our $1000 deposit. All because we said we were going probably use our bank for the financing which would save us almost $400 off our mortgage instead of there third party lending service. I’ve been dealing with them for months and still haven’t got my deposit back from them. I’ve dealt with the Superintendant, operation mangers, and the regional manager which is Scott Sterling and still haven’t heard back from them yet. So my advice to anyone looking to buy a home at this location . DO NOT Deal with Evan or his supervisor David. You’ll thank me later.
Amy Cappelletti: Clean.
C Davis: Really nice homes.
Timothy Jones: Beautiful Homes Will Be looking to buy one soon . Hopefully ❤
Shaniqua Yelverton: Words can not describe how much our first time buying a home experience was a BLISS! Evan was heaven sent! God knew we wanted someone who could make us comfortable with coming out of our shell being that we were so shy! We like him and the knowledge he has and he’s so well-rounded! He’s honest to a TEE! That’s exactly what we like! If you stop by, ask for Evan. Might I add, the whole team in the office are very warming to us! We felt welcome as soon as we walked in the door! I am so excited for our new construction home to come in a few months! Great Job Team! #LGI
Carl Estrade: Very nice guys!
Leonard Keller: Positive:Professionalism,Punctuality,Quality,Responsiveness,Value
Aie Pwe: Critical:Quality
ProSource Staff: Critical:Professionalism
Cna Training: Ron over there makes everything excellent. Excellent experience.
tatia giviens: Critical:ResponsivenessTERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!
Jamal Wright: Buyer beware, they will keep your deposit if you change your mind and don't buy a home.
Racheal Poth: Kyle Kearney is very unprofessional and led us to believe we could get our lot deposit back. He told us exactly “what to say” so we could get the money back. Even when it didn’t make financial sense for us to move forward with the buy, they told us we could “still afford” the house. We talked back and forth with him and his sales manager David Riley, (which my husband and I had to initiate all of this communication) only to find out that they would be keeping the money. They told us they would be keeping us informed through all of it. There was no communication at all. We had to call, only to be led on telling us “we are checking with corporate” or “we will let you know”. And then when we call AGAIN, they tell us “oh I thought someone called you, we would be keeping the lot deposit”. Besides the $1000 we are out and their dishonesty, Kyle Kearney was VERY inappropriate and made me feel very uncomfortable. He was only concerned about making a sale (which Is his job, I get it) but had no care about the people behind the sale. Is this the image you would like to give off, LGI Homes? You don’t care about the home buyers or the process. You allow inappropriate salesmen to persuade potential home buyers at any cost necessary. You have absolutely no communication with your potential home buyers. Lastly, you’re a million dollar company (probably billion dollar company) and yet you deem it necessary to keep my $1000? I am by no means a millionaire, so that $1000 means a lot to me, especially because I am TRYING TO BUY A HOUSE! So for anyone reading this, if you come across KYLE Kearney, ask for someone else. Better yet, save yourself altogether and go with a different builder.
Tony Judd: Great people thanks for helping us to success.
Stephen-John Todaro: I am a homeowner in this LGI community. My wife and I were the first move in the development. The location is fantastic, the house is exactly what we wanted. LGI takes great care of it's homeowners home per warranty. Carl, Evan, Kyle, Brooks, are salespeople and David the sales manager are awesome. And Mark the manager overseeing house construction is great.
Marjorie Campbell Washburn: Georgios
Leantwanette Smith: Always fresh and tasty.
Angel Rod: Just BEAUTIFUL

McKee Homes: what do users think?
no name: Critical:Professionalism,Punctuality,ResponsivenessNobody was at the supposedly open house. Don't put it on the website if its not actually an open house. One of the employees I contacted even said "Oh, I didn't know we had an open house"...Very unprofessional and not competent. Its very telling what kind of service you will get from just an initial interaction like this.
jesse page: We had our home built by McKee Homes, the home has a one year warranty, we have had multiple issues that are still unresolved that they won’t respond to or follow up on to fix these issues even though we’ve called and emailed multiple times. They brought in poor quality construction when they built the neighborhood. Don’t buy from McKee as their people handling warranty issues ignore us even after we spent a lot of money on the new home. Build and buy through a company that actually responds.
LaQuel Arthur: Critical:Professionalism,Quality,Responsiveness,ValueThe Most horrible builder ever. Basic homes. Word play in the design. It's 2023 and they put a bath fitter shower in my master bath. It's horrible. The picture shows a double oven. Another thing not in my home. Poor communication. Find someone else DO NOT USE McKee. Worse decision we've made.
Christy G.: To be transparent, I do not know where to begin with this nightmare. From the sales consultant to the construction contractors, ignoring and pacifying us. We have voiced our concerns to the poor quality of the customer service and work. For instance, they say they will come out and repair (hasn't happened to date) one exception the 3ft of insulation missing from the roof of our master bathroom (they weren't aware of). This has been the worst experience out of 4 homes that were either new construction or already built. The manner in which they misrepresented the trees and property lines, then tried to gaslight and attempt intimidation by one of the vice presidents (I can't remember her name). But I had to stop her yelling at me and remind her that we are both women and can speak and listen to one another (we had two others on the line listening to her yelling and not letting us get a word in). I don't think she understood what we were saying but was intent on gaslighting us, into believing we were confused or didn't understand how it works. I can go down a rabbit hole with this builder, but I will say please conduct a land survey and home inspections on your own BEFORE buying. Also, don't take their word ensure it is in writing. They are not the honest hometown builder. I have so much written in my journal, but I think I got my point across.Services:Tile work installation,Install flooring,Garage construction,Landscaping,Garage design building,Design,Fan installation,Deck construction,Paint indoors,Exterior design services,Custom home design,Exterior painting,Foundation pouring,General plumbing services,Exterior finishing,Home building,Interior design,Garage design,Drywall installation,Plumbing fixture installation,Roof building,Roof installation,Electrical work,Consultation,Concrete pouring,Flooring,Accessory building construction

Chris Thurow: Critical:ProfessionalismThey are great at the beginning, then its all down hill. They are currently leaving the Copper Pond neighborhood in shambles. Not one promise kept!
