NC Elite Volleyball Club: what do users think?
Camp Alexander: BEST EXPERIENCE EVER!! This is our 3rd year at NC Elite Volleyball. Both of our daughters have chosen NC Elite over several other clubs because they love the great coaching staff, Vertimax training and family atmosphere they have created. Nice they have youth program (VolleyU for girls under 13) and created new levels of club teams to make things more affordable for families. Directors are super approachable and easy to talk to - they don’t tell you what you want to hear - they tell you the truth and what you need to know. Can’t find this great vibe in any other club in the triangle!!
Paige Matthews: If I could give less than one star I would. I would like to point out that those giving good reviews are either employed or in cohorts with this club in an effort to save face. This was THE WORST club experience I’ve ever had. The biggest waste of money and the most stressful experience ever. I don’t have enough time to hit all the points of unprofessionalism, under-handedness, immaturity and flat out bafoonery that this club represents. SAVE YOUR MONEY!! Don’t even try out for this club!!
Shannon Lewis: Nice volleyball club.... recently updated.
Rebecca Drabenstott: My daughter has played with NC Elite for 2 years (and with another area club the year before that). NC Elite has been a great experience. My daughter has loved all of her coaches and I really appreciate all Micholene, the club director, does to make travel volleyball workable for families. She made our concerns her concerns and solved real hurdles for us. NC Elite has a strong program and it feels like a family that cares. Looking forward to next year!
Jen Ulbrich: Coach Romel is one of the best coaches in the area. Can't wait to see the new floors at the netsports facility.
sam scott: Our daughter played for NC Elite and she will never play for them again. First off, we chose NC Elite based on the coaches experience (bios). Come to find out, those bios weren’t very accurate so I highly recommend you do your research and definitely ask around. Then, there’s also the facility...absolutely horrible for the girls and their joints and why are the girls in charge of putting up and breaking down the volleyball equipment? (They are finally fixing the facility). And then I also observed where each team stayed during their tournaments. I noticed that her daughter’s teams would stay at the “better” hotels. In addition, at AAU Micholene sent out an email stating that if our families would like to go to Disney, please do it AFTER the tournament but yet, her daughter’s team got to go BEFORE their tournament.Overall, unless you’re part of Micholene’s daughter’s team, part of Roxboro or a superstar that they’ve given a scholarship to, you might want to look elsewhere or just really really do your research like who exactly is rating NC Elite on google...AKA coaches
Madison Irvin: I've loved working for NC Elite Volleyball Club for the past several years! As a former player I was provided with an awesome club experience, which ultimately prepared me for collegiate-level volleyball at a D3 University. The coaches and staff provide a true family atmosphere and work with each athlete on an individual basis to ensure they have the best experience possible.
Denise Hightower: Elite provides a wonderful environment for girls to develop their skill and experience. The coaches provide a positive learning environment, to help each player reach her potential!!!
Melissa Inman: We love NC Elite! My daughter has played for this club for 2 years and we could not be happier. She has progressed in her skills, has had very knowledgeable and supportive coaches, and the club is organized and communicates well with the student athletes and parents.
Beth Granai: NC Elite is an extremely well organized and managed youth volleyball club. My daughter and our family enjoyed the experience and competition. Highly recommend NC Elite for any aspiring club vb player!
Molly Tatum: I love working for NC Elite Volleyball Club! I have played for the club since it was started. I was lucky enough to be an MVP of a National Championship team coached by the director of Communications herself Micholene Schumacher. Without Elite I would not have had the opportunity to play at D1 school UNCW. Since then I have been coaching and continue to love the positive and enthusiastic environment in the gym!

Bobby Thomas: Can't think of a better place to be on a Saturday afternoon.
Terri Weber: Love these guys. So happy we found them. My daughter has been playing beach for 2 years and she was ready to take the next to step to improve her game. Greg and Kidder in just a month have brought her to a whole new level. Highly recommend them if you are wanting to develop your game and go to the next level.
Karl Weber: Incredible coaching. Great location. Best volleyball club in the Southeast.
mariaeugenia rodriguez: Awesome facilities, great coaches, and good central location.

Triangle Volleyball Club: what do users think?
Jason Kaas: First time here and probably our last. Was told we’d hear by 2pm on results of a try out. Only received a call to say they needed more time and would call again with results. Obviously they didn’t need that extra time as we did receive multiple messages from other parents who gave their condolences regarding the results. So obviously the staff cant be bothered to share the results from the tryouts but if you made the cut these parents get to know who the losers are. Completely unprofessional and classless group here.
Linda G Hills: Really nice facility where the games took place, near by fast food place, bring your own seating, comfortable and plenty of rest rooms,I would go again.
Franci Cineus: This is our 4th year at Triangle and I wish i could give 28374 stars!!! The coaches and Admin are a class act! My daughter feels genuine love and care!!! I couldn’t ask for a better environment!
Andrew Mericle: Requires masks but otherwise great place
Todd Haugland: First time here, even though I've lived in Raleigh since before this existed, and played volleyball since high school. Can't believe it. Great facility & the staff so far seems nice. Wish the upstairs had facilities to use for observers, there's so much potential there for spectators.
Karen Bolyard, Realtor: Training and staff are amazing
Coach Webster: First time venturing out for an activity since everything started. While it is different than pre covid, you can tell all the care and precautions they are taking to allow patrons to play and learn volleyball while keeping everyone as safe as possible.
Ekimi: I’ve been to a couple of camps here. The camps here are great and can greatly improve a players skill level, and the facility has good air conditioning so you aren’t suffocating while playing. Overall I would highly recommend going here to learn how to play or improve.
ronnie taborn: Love the training and facility.
Marty Hogan: Triangle Volleyball built a new training center and it is really nice. The upper level provides a nice vantage point when watching gameplay. Some reviews mention seating is limited. I have been to MANY tournaments, both regional and national. Seating is ALWAYS limited. Triangle’s new building is better than most sites when it comes to seating. You cannot bring your own chairs though so any critique mentioning that is valid. The only venue where seating was truly better was Davidson College, but that’s a well funded private college. Now that McCrimmon Parkway is extended, there are two ways to access the site from I-40; Aviation Parkway and now Aviation Boulevard.Parking is much improved especially since the printing company stayed behind. They were HORRIBLE neighbors aggressively harassing volleyball families when trying to park. This organization works hard to teach more than just volleyball; they teach their athletes to respect others and develop skills for life success.
Steve Ramsey: Great gym, terrible for spectators
Marek K (Elementsofwire): Great place, fantastic coaches.
Roberta Hunts: We loved the Open Gyms! They were super well organized, the facility is beautiful and has plenty of parking. Would love to see seating upstairs even though it is apparently for safety - it would just be better to see.
Ryan L: Nice place for the girls to play volleyball but the brand new facility is awful for spectators. The few places they have to sit are bleacher for young kids and not adults. This is just not a good place for tournaments and they should just use it as a practice facility.
Rob A: Great facilities for training but it is not fan friendly! Seating is awful! There is not nearly enough and the seating they have is designed for elementary children.
Shannon Lewis: Excellent volleyball club.
Andy Raynor: Fantastic volley ball club relocated to a new, beautiful facility. Offers club teams for minors, skills lessons, summer camps, and programs for the physically challenged. They also focus on the whole student athlete and work to develop confidence, Independence, and sportsmanship.
Casey Yo: For large tournaments, it's super crowded. Having 4 teams per court on 8 courts +parents = way too many people for the space and parking area. Handicapped parking didn't seem adequate. Hopefully things will be better in future.
Matthew Cardona: Triangle is the best and the couches are really helpful
Sam: great coaching!! high level volleyball!! great club in general
Mackenzie Behr: I love this place! amazing coaches and the programs are the best!!!

NC Volleyball Academy: what do users think?
Patricia Strout: Great coaches and great volleyball skill building experience. Fun atmosphere.
grace Estes: Awesome club my favorite time to watch the players.
Steven Budden: We had a terrible experience our second year. The coach was emotionally immature, prone to outbursts, ineffective as a coach. Some of the girls underwent some trauma. (I've talked to a few parents that share the sentiment with the same coach). Supposedly he used to win in the past, so he's the coach of teenage girls. Anyway, perhaps it is no longer a fit? We switched to CHAVC and are happily working our way out of the Academy hole.
karla bullock: Ok, so this was a weird situation. This is supposedly one of the best clubs in the metro Raleigh area… but is it? Or is it just one of the largest clubs in our area? A distinct difference. Our daughter is a good player, some would say she could be a great player. She made NC Academy’s summer league ( their lowest level 16 team) That was ok, we all knew there was room for improvement. Isn’t that what perfecting and training for your sport is all about? Well, NC Academy offered their lowest coach for their lowest ranked 16 team. Coach Serita Williams. MY GOD, where in the world did they find this God awful woman?’!?!. Let me first state that our daughter is not our first student athlete- she’s our 3rd (the other two weee D1 athletes)and my husband and I were student athletes as well. We’ve never experienced this level of lack of professionalism. I would watch practices and see one, she didn’t even warm the girls up. There were no structured warm ups there was no conditioning like the other teams did, two-there were NO offers of correction on proper technique. There were plenty of scowls , huffs of frustration, and humiliating remarks made by Coach Serita Williams to young girls Three, Coach Serita Williams exhibited lack of interest in general to being the coach at all to these young girls. She seemed especially annoyed with my daughter and made no effort in disguising her childlike disdain for my 16 year old. My husband and I likened it to behavior a jealous middle school girl would have towards someone she envied. It was an odd and unexplainable tension. Coach Serita would purposely NOT speak to us(the parents) and seemed like she would make a point to boldly and loudly speak to the parents of our daughter’s team mates standing nearly shoulder to shoulder beside us. Weird energy. We began to feel that from the caliber of coach assigned to the lowest last minute summer team was just a money grab. But our daughter, lover of volleyball, and warrior of all challenges, brushed off the childish behavior of her coach and accepted it as yet another challenge to overcome and forged through the summer season. Sometimes frustrated beyond belief, sometimes crying from lack of understanding of how an adult could behave so poorly. At the Orlando tournaments Coach Serita was pulling her in and out of games for EVERY SINGLE mistake. I mean every single one. Our daughter would have a bad set.. OUT immediately!! No sideline coaching, no words at all, just childish scowls and eye rolling. She offered EVERY OTHER PLAYER OPPORTUNITIES to stay in and play through their errors, find their rhythm, but not our daughter. Coach Serita Williams eventually gave up on her losing team anyway. One game she told the outside hitter of the team “I’m done with y’all. You coach” and she sat down, crossed her arms and did not say a word to the team for the rest of the game.CHILDISH UNPROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR.We had had enough at this point. We had watched horrible practices, saw no coaching, no conditioning, no corrections, witnessed rude behavior, spent time and money on a trip to Orlando, witnessed MORE unprofessional behavior. We called to complain upon our return to NC. We were to receive a call from one of the directors after her vacation, but never did.Our daughter, against our better judgement tried out for NC’s regular season. We knew she wouldn’t make it because we had reported Serita to her superiors and she likely told any of the interested coaches that she was “trouble”. She didn’t make it and all the other parents were surprised. We weren’t and actually we were glad she didn’t make the club. It was obvious to us that NC Volleyball Academy has no real handle on what their coaches are teaching or not teaching athletically or socially and there is no concern for professional decorum. She’s with a club now that is interested in developing a young player into a confident, professional, student athlete.Look at her . Doesn’t Coach Serita Williams look totally disinterested? Shame NC Academy Shame!
MR: Recommended for people interested in n volleyball. Trained coaches and always full
Ellen McLarney: Really thorough coaching and teaching and outstanding positive energy and good team spirit. Appreciate the top level organization and overall good vibe of girl power at the place.
Charles Cline: Facility is great. Many great coaches, and Power Jump class in particular is outstanding.
Rhythm Invasion: They neither answer phone calls nor respond to your emails. Their voicemail is full. I’ve been trying to reach them since three months! I’ve never had this problem with any other business. Weird!
Todd Haugland: Daughter just started with the club. Digging (get it?) their mentality and coaching process. I've played, reffed, and coached since the 1980s. I really like their methodology and how they treat the girls. I look forward to being here a good long time.Now... how about boys? 😉
Jean Braswell: Grand daughter loves and has improved this facility
Azu Reydom: Impatient owner!
javier rengifo: Muy buen sitio para practicas y mejorar las tecnicas del voleibol
Elvey Thomas: Excellent club but the “camp” for younger kids is more like babysitting. Wish I had known this. The older kids we’re getting a great experience.
Spencer Reynolds: As a coach working here it's a excellent club to work for, has some of the most knowledgeable coaches around and has developed some of the best volleyball players in the Triangle if not the entire state
A Preddy: Amazing programs for every level with great, caring coaches. It has improved my daughter's skills and boosted her confidence more than any other program! Highly recommended!
Paul Grantham: My daughter learned the game and fell in love with volleyball at NC Academy. She has played the last three years at NC Academy and worked with lots of coaches in team practices, training events and private lessons. The quality of the coaching, the facilities and the culture are truly exceptional. We are in a very competitive area for volleyball with lots of choices for clubs. NC Volleyball has been the right choice for us. The facility is probably the best in the area, but the people truly make the difference.
Nancy Kent: Wonderful club experience—lots of support at different levels—nice facility and convenient to RTP—
Micaela Curry: first year at academy and i really enjoyed it, even though the season got cut short. my team was successful and my coaches were the best. we also got to train with 14 jade sometimes which was fun. definitely recommend
Morgan Foy: A judgement free club and very welcoming. The coaches truly just want the player to grow in their game. Feels like home right when you walk in.
M M: Excellent place for volleyball learning in RTP. In my mind, the best! :-) The coaches are professional, dedicated and very nice. Volleyball and Karate are currently my daughter’s favorites!
Tania Stafford: Warm atmosphere. Competitive. Great coaches. Fun place to work.
