Rhonda Davis: Everyone was great from beginning with Paul to confirm availability and reserve truck over the phone, both gentleman's counter help during pick up and Destiny's help during my follow-up call the next day. Although they a customer rush as I arrived with four customers walking in ahead of me, the two gentlemen handled it well to the best of their abilities. The wait was more of two of the customers indecisiveness at the counter. Overall, Excellent staff and customer service.

Vicky Jenkins: We rented a U-haul trailer on February 27, 2021 and had a wonderful experience working with Arica and Jonathan. Receiving excellent customer service in the 21st century is a huge deal. I must say that Arica & Jonathan provided one of the best customer service experiences I have had. They provided timely professional service as their goal was to ensure we were able to handle our business at hand. Unknown to us, a fuse on our truck was out, but Arica and Jonathan worked well as a team to locate and fix the problem. We were grateful to God for their stellar work ethic.

Caitlin: I had a 10ft truck reservation with tow dolly made a month in advance prior to my move to Chicago I called Uhaul 3 times, including the day prior to the reservation, to confirm equipment. The day prior to the reservation when I called this Uhaul location the woman I spoke to was very nice and assured me my equipment was ready and available. Then next day Uhaul calls me 3 hours before I’m suppose to pick up the equipment to tell me one of the Uhaul Millbrook associates gave away my equipment. I was leaving for chicago the next morning! It was a HASSLE to find another location that had this equipment as the 10ft truck and tow dolly are hard to come by (as stated by the representatives I spoke to when I made the reservation a month in advance). I was in tears and incredibly stressed knowing I had to be out tomorrow morning without the right equipment to go across country because of this HUGE mistake. Thankfully UHAUL as a company was able to assist me but this location totally screwed me.

They aren't there just for the job (we all need one) they are here to serve you and want you to have a good experience so that they can do it all over again and until you feel like a neighbor. :-) Thanks everyone at this location including Shawanda and the kind lady working with her the day the systems went down. Y'all are the best! PS I grew up in a family business and now have my own and learned a long time ago how to make a customer feel like they are the only one you have and to do that it must come from the heart - y'all are working from your heart. Yvette Simpson: I have dealt with many U hauls and this is the worst establishment. The vehicle we were given was faulty, the oil and transmission wasn’t changed , then the trailer for the car , to assemble the strap as was poorly done from a co worker / and the manager (Jayzmen Howard)!. Luckily my fiancé was able to to catch it because that would be an accident . They had the nerve to charge 20.00 which no where does it say you have to pay for such little assistance. I wrote a letter and have a complaint regarding this Uhaul. I would advise you use another location where the customer service is better and the staff is knowledgeable. Any location is better than 5600 Atlantic Ave Raleigh NC 27715. Beware never go to this site

Elaine A: Dishonest customer service rep. Poor customer service. Poor management. I rented a truck, appiance dolly, utiluty dolly. I called to let the customer service rep know I would be late returning the truck. I also asked if I would be charged a an additional day. I was told by the rep that I would not be charged for an additional day. I returned truck 2 hours after my drop off time. The next morning I received my receipt, but the charge was different on my card than the receipt. I called to ask about the difference and was told that I was charged an additional day. I let the associate know that I spoke to someone yesterday evening and was informed I would not be charged for the additional time. The associate told me that the person I spoke to (Jadasia)put in her notes that she informed me that I would be charged an additional day. There is absolutely no reason to lie to someone over the phone and write a false note in the system to cover yourself. I would have kept the truck for the additional time and finished my business if she were honest with me about the charge. I went to the location to discuss with the manager (Jazmyne). She was not in that morning or evening, but the lady I spoke with read the notes that Jazmyne put in the system, covering her employee's false notes and not contacting me to discuss this issue at all or pulling the phone call. This same lady told me she was there when I called and heard Jadasia tell me I would not be charged, but told me that she told Jadasia to write a note in the system saying that she did tell me. I would not recommend this location to anyone...Retrain or replace the ENTIRE team.

Peter Levedahl: don’t waste your time ordering anything online. they’re happy to sell you the product and issue a “contract” only for you to show up and they say “we don’t have it”. especially frustrating was the lack of apology and as if I was inconveniencing them! the “general manager” (amazing this person has a job in customer service) was indifferent to the point of apathy and offered no apology or solution other than a refund (proving they sold me a product they did not intend to deliver). Customer Service is hard work and people have bad days, but Jazmyne couldn’t be paid more to care less. The President (of this district for UHAUL) was apologetic enough but it shouldn’t have gotten to that point. Waste of time and gas.
C C: The truck was stinky and dirty. The staff is rude. One employee complained about how lazy the other employees are and how they have a disabled employee who should be doing the work they all do. I also had a problem that I had to file a police report for and that's all I will say about that.

After waiting forever, they were happy to pawn off a much more expensive truck that I didnt need. Dont waste your time here, Penske has reliable service or just rent a truck from Home Depot.
John Riselvato: There self service app experience is kind of a joke. You still need to go inside the building to pick up the keys. And if the place is packed you're still going to wait 20 minutes. So I lost time on my rental waiting for they keys. The return was quick though. The rental they gave me had only 800 miles on it, I've never even driven a car that new before. So it was cool seeing what a brand new U-Haul looked and felt like.

David Forrest: With all the negative reviews, I had hesitation about renting from this location. That said I took the chance, and I’m glad I did! The people were very nice, there was no issue with miss quoting rates or anything like that as referenced in some of the other reviews, and they pick up and drop off process was painless. I could not ask for a better experience and, due to having multiple properties that I own, I would likely be renting vans and trailers again!

Steve King: My experience with this store was excellent. I needed to rent an enclosed 6x12 trailer and thought I reserved one on the website. By mistake, I had selected a 'utility' (open) trailer and not the enclosed one.None was available, but Ms. Rodnai Drew went out of her way to get parts needed to get an out-of-service trailer working, so that I had a trailer to rent, without having to scramble and find another trailer at a different location. Then was asked for another reservation, then was told "I don't know when it will be available" multiple times in a row. When finally given one, it already was occupied with someone else's stuff!!!! After moving everything out, the moving truck did not have enough room to carry everything. We requested a vehicle, they told me "none were available, they're reserved". When asked when the next reservation will be available, they repeated that they do not know. They flat out refused to let us rent a vehicle. There we're multiple vehicles on the lot. There were so many more issues. DO NOT USE THIS UHAUL!!!!!

I did not receive any email and visited the store again the next day to get an update. She started claiming that I did not leave the key in the truck and, thus, she could not check me out. She also asked me to pay for the key if I do not have it. Even though I repeatedly told her that I left the key in the truck, she was not ready to accept it. I then retrieved the key right from the same truck. She then check me out without any sign of remorse or a simple "Sorry".

Elizabeth Stewart: Wow, had a terrible experience here yesterday. Tried to refill a propane tank. Went inside and waited for about 10 mins, with my 3 yr old. Was told that someone would be out to fill it. Went outside, finally saw a different employee after another 10 mins. She told me to get someone else, who told me she couldn’t do it bc she was ‘in training and didn’t know how’…. Went back to only employee who seemed to know anything. They told other employee to get a certain person and tell them I need propane…. Finally, that employee came out and said there was a hole in the propane line and they couldn’t fill it….?? Oh, and I’d need to drive to the next closest Uhaul to fill it. Total waste of time, with my 3 yr old to keep entertained the whole tome. Avoid this place at all costs.
Elaina Espinosa: GO TO PUBLIC STORAGE.Moving is already stressful , and this location has made it 1000x times worse. I work remotely and decided to work abroad for a couple of months. I got a storage unit here as a one month free was offered. I return and try and enter my storage unit for the first time… and the key does not even enter the lock. I go to the front to ask for assistance and they told me that this sometimes happens and I’ll have to get a lock smith. There is nothing they can do… I HAD TO PY FOR A LOCKSMITH FOR A KEY AND LOCK THEY PROVIDED. The manager here is unprofessional and downright useless. Save your money, time, and headaches.

I called to dispute this and told them that I filled it up before returning it and was told that there was nothing that they could do.I rented again more recently and made sure to keep filling up the truck until I could see the gas about to overflow.
