I can honestly say going to New Life was one of the biggest contributions to molding me into who I am today. I have worked on the summer staff for 5 summers now and cannot recommend a better summer job for high school/college aged kids. The growth you will experience both as a believer and just from a social aspect is amazing! The things you learn at camp will translate to future jobs and will be skills you use for the rest of your life!

Stephanie: 2 kids attended summer day camp and absolutely loved everyday! Such a positive experience for both kids. One started out very nervous and the counselors were all very understanding and encouraging. Great communication daily! Look forward to checking out more things nlc has to offer!

Así que han sido estresantes dos semanas seguidas viendo a nuestro niño rogar por no ir al campamento.Además, última semana de su programa de verano: con menos asistencia mezclan aún más a los niños. Mi hija estaba con los niños pequeños y su amiga estaba en un grupo con dos banderas arriba. Si tienes un niño de 5 a 9 años, ya conoces el ejercicio...Estamos considerando enviarla el próximo año a otros campamentos de verano y algunas semanas en NLC, para que podamos evitar la misma frustración y dolor de cabeza para nosotros y el campamento. Lynne: Tienen excelentes programas para educadores en el hogar y se esfuerzan para que los niños tengan clases en persona este año que se reúnen semanalmente. Todo ha ido muy bien. Los profesores son sobresalientes. Mis dos hijos aprendieron a escribir ensayos e informes de laboratorio adecuados. Las clases de matemáticas también fueron geniales. Un excelente complemento para el aprendizaje en casa. Ojalá ofrecieran aún más cursos.

Jason Motley: Nothing I can write can adequately express how happy I am with this camp. As a homeschooling family we have tried several different programs and this is the one program that both of my kids attend and that they both love. They cry when the semester ends and they know they won't be back for a week or 2.

Mika Scarlett: Camps are not as described and they have poor customer service.I signed my 6th grader up for a camp that was advertised as 4th through 7th grade. When he arrived at camp, my son was paired with rising 2nd and 3rd graders. The camp was also labeled as a level 2 robotics camp. However, it was a very basic intro class. The first hour of class was spent filling out questionnaires - not doing any building or programming. My son was so uncomfortable he did not want to return. At the end of class I explained our concerns and asked to speak with a director/owner. I was told the director did not give out her email, phone number or name to customers.(Huge red flag!!) They refused to refund the money for the remaining days of camp even though the camp was not at all as described. It was their mistake, but they refused to rectify it.

Visionary Sci-fi writing: Review reflects judgement for the median adult user :Pros: Great treadmills with great media screens (90% of what I need), Friendly staff, Pool not too cold, nice locker rooms. Not too crowded when i go- 1-3:30 pm (so I don't have to wait more than min for machines) And enough cardio machines to accommodate the prime time crowd. Music good and not overly loud.-Basically good if you about the cardio equipment, or can get here by mid afternoon or u need a pool and can use it when its available. (see their schedule page for updates on hrs)Cons: Crowded workout area especially after 4:40 pm. Only 1 of some basic machines. This is fairly small gym. Many teens and they group up/talk around these machines.The pool is not available 4-7 !But biggest severe negative, after ~5 pm you can't feasibly get on these machines!!! So to use just the 4 (legs, abs, hips,arms) can be over 30 min of waiting!

Harry Noah Clark: Me: I like to tone then use bike or elliptical or similar. Basically a well rounded work out.Only open til 5 weekends!I did trial here which was generous and showed up after work-so at 6:20pm. Lotta kids and couldn't get on machines.2 days a week I can get off early I'd tried to use pool but it was reserved for swim team and there no hot tub which could of made up for this.Guess would be good if you into classes or are on the kid swim team. If they somewhat limit to new people who can work out earlier and strictly keep children (under 18) from the work out area prime time, it'd be big improvement.Disclaimer: I've got a 13 and 15 yr old at home and don't want to deal with 'em while trying to work-out.

Chelsea Caudle: This place has changed my life!!!I joined this Y back in June and haven't turned back since. The facility is clean and well maintained. If they are having any type of maintenance done they are good about emailing as a courtesy which always goes a long way.They offer sooooo many different classes, it's something for everyone. Plenty of working equipment, nice indoor track, sauna, steam room and spacious locker rooms.The staff: my absolute favorite part! Ya'll these people feel like home. So welcoming, kind and genuine. It's nice to chit chat with everyone and see smiling faces even on those days when you feel like you don't want to workout lol. Shoutout to Mrs. Judy, Brooke, Paula, Stephanie R., Jared, Lori A., etc. Literally everyone is wonderful-even the members!I highly recommend this place to everyone! So thankful for my Y :)

Eric Hamm: When I see some of the one star reviews it is pretty petty stuff... Canceling your membership because you saw a person without a mask on? You sound like the type of person that needs to get exercise equipment in your basement and never come out and be around people again. When I think of the generation of Americans that produced bravery at Normandy, and then I see the cowardice of people who can't even be around other human beings unless they can dictate and cover their face... pretty sad and cowardly stuff. Good job YMCA by not submitting to their Hitler like control to try to dehumanize others and cover up their face.

Rebecca N: I have been a member for a few months now and sadly most of my experiences have been terrible. First off signing up- it was during a time there was a discount. I wasn't given the discount and had to call to get customer service to refund my money. Then I went in to get my id cards and have my picture taken. I told the staff I hadn't had a tour and would like to take a look around. They told me to go walk around. No offer of a tour. Well, I walked around but I still don't know where the locker room is nor the door to the indoor pool. The couple times I went in to get exercise, I couldn't, the kid zone was closed. I had no idea there was an app until I happened upon it. The zero personality front desk staff certainly never told me about it. I signed up and paid for swim classes twice and twice the classes were cancelled. No explanation, no notice. I called the director, no response.... Today I showed up for a class kid zone closed again... Y'all have to do better this is NOT the way you should conduct business. I feel like I'm wasting money because I can't seem to access the things I pay for. For those of you looking to join, demand a tour, demand to know everything that comes with your membership, get a print out of hours, do ALL the things! I still have no idea what all I have access to.

MAGA TRUMP: Great place expect for one of the staff. One of the lifeguards Braden Shover was very rude and was screaming at my kids and banned them from the slide just because they had goggles on. He didn't even tell them to take it off, he just started screaming and yelling at them and said they can't ever go back on the slide. YMCA should definitly fire him!!

Tristin Staten: The first time I came to this Y the experience was great and rememberable, the second time I came which was today left me leaving this facility not wanting to go back.The original Y I go to for the gym is the South East location, and I only come to this one to meet my brother and his friend as a halfway mark. I've noticed each Y has different machines and I haven't tried all of them and when I do I would like to know if I'm doing the workout correctly. I see this personal trainer I believe her name is Shanon, yes she was with a client but I just had one simple question. "Am I doing this correctly?" So me and my guest wont hurt ourselves. She didn't even let me get my question out and gave me a very patronizing answer "Sorry I'm with a client, I cant help you."My issue with this is that are the personal trainers at this location only concerned for the safety of PAYING clients for a trainer and not everyone else? She made me not even want to ask anyone else that worked there. The manager was little to no help his excuse for her was "When she is in the zone she just goes." Safety is not the top priority here and it shows.I had a personal trainer for the beginning part of the year at my Y (South East) and she was phenomenal, any time someone who wasn't her client had a question about doing something correctly so they wouldn't hurt themselves she was there to help. That is what a personal trainer is, and I guess she just set that bar way too high in my mind, and you cant get that 5 star experience everywhere you go.

amanda niemic: The sports department is fantastic. We have done soccer for spring of ‘21, fall basketball of ‘21 winter basketball of ‘22, and onto soccer for spring ‘22. Darian, the sports director is fantastic and does a great job keeping everything organized. My kids have a blast and love to make new friends. When the mask mandate was going on, all the kids wore one, if one fell off during the game they would pause it for the kid to put it back on. I’m glad that the mandate is gone (dont care either way) but trying to run and play in a mask is no fun.

Chris Martin: Gym is ok. Equipment is good enough. But the masses of unsupervised teens sitting on exercise machines scrolling their phones and jumping on equipment in the middle of other peoples workouts is ridiculous. The rudest bunch of gym goers in the triangle. No courtesy. No supervision. No longer getting my money.

Don Harper: We started at the Finley Y for the pool during the initial summer of Covid. I'd bring my son every day during school track out. The staff, life guards and coaches are great. Attentive and positive. Since that experience we joined the Finley Flyers for summer swim and now my son is on the YOTA swim team. Not sure about masking in the gym / workout area but when I'm waiting for my son during practice I have mine on in the lounge and all other parents who are waited do as well.
