Jonathan Champ: La Terraza is not just a new name, it's a visual revamp and menu refresh that breathes new life into a staple of university-adjacent restaurants. Unfortunately, a couple updates prevent a five star rating: price increases on basic drinks (sweet tea and soda), and uneven clumps of salt on the tortilla chips (which make each chip potentially hazardous). So I order water and brush of the particularly gritty chip outliers, but it doesn't have to be that way.

The second plate had rice, refried beans, lettuce, and sour cream guacamole.The margarita🍹 😋 was tasty and flavorful.

Kiera Watson: We went for Cinco de Mayo & the food was good, but our waiter was HORRIBLE. He was nice at first… until we had to send a couple of drinks back due to them not tasting right. He caught a little attitude, but still ended up getting the drinks remade. Then, the same people in my party asked for condiments for their food and also told him about minor issues they had with it. He INSTANTLY caught a nasty attitude again and told us he wasn’t taking the food back or telling the kitchen because it would come out of his paycheck. He even said “everyone wants to have a problem all of a sudden” when that wasn’t the case. It was 2 people that spoke up and everyone else’s stuff was good. After some arguing, he decided to take the food off their checks.The next problem occurred when it was time to pay. We had water and some drinks, so a couple of the girls went to use the bathroom while he split the checks- they left their wallets, phones, and keys at the table. We were not going to leave without paying. My bill was $25, so I paid with $40 cash. He tried to keep all of my change and I had to ask for it back. After going back & forth with him AGAIN, he finally gave me my change, but proceeds to ask me about the other girl’s checks who hadn’t paid yet. I told him they were in the bathroom, but they were still going to pay. He rolls his eyes & we paid then left.I will never come back to this restaurant. I wish I could tell you the waiter’s name, but he never introduced himself, checked on the table, refilled our water, etc.

Randy Garcia: If weather permits, the outside seating is the place to be. Ask for Jorge's Guacamole....*update 5/5/2013 - went in with a friend and both agreed that this was the worst. The service was stellar and friendly. The food was horrible, tasteless and visually not appealing at all. The Guacamole, which was the main reason to be there, was stale and with a refrigerator taste, like it was done hours ago. The fish tacos were horrible, even the rice and black beans tasted like instant rice and beans. $97 later, I decided that it will be the last time that I'll visit, oh and Jorge was not there...

Abbey Brewer: It’s seems delicious but please change the ingredients in your chicken soup because it was not what I ordered or good. I ordered on DoorDash and there was no rice it’s was potato’s. The “pico” was whole vegetable broccoli, zucchini, etc. and there were whole chicken wings in the soup. The only correct ingredient was chicken. Would love to try again but I normally get the chicken soup and I’m never ordering that again.

The sauce tasted like water.

T. Thomas: I have stopped going to Mi Rancho. I recently went to pick up my takeout & it took about 10-15 minutes for anyone to acknowledge me. The waitresses, kitchen staff, etc. continued to pass by & look at me, but no one offered assistance. FINALLY, a waitress came to assist, but she was not friendly at all. She never apologized for my wait or did anything remotely kind. My money is green & I refuse to give it to a place of business that ignores me or does not appreciate its patrons. There's other Mexican restaurants in the area.
