Jeanne Washburn: We used Raleigh Tutoring for the ACT for our high school senior. I called and explained our needs and it was decided the best fit for him was one tutor for math and science and one tutor for the language arts portion. Within a few visits our son was feeling much more confident and doing well on the practice tests. On the actual test day, he knocked it out of the park! Rachel DuBois: Fusion Academy has been a game changer for our teen. Fusion arrived in Raleigh at exactly the right time for our family. We've been consistently thrilled with the quality of the experience since we first joined back in early 2020.It's not just the educational support that's outstanding. The social and emotional support is incredible. Our daughter sincerely feels that each of her teacher/mentors is a true friend. Somebody that has taken the time to get to know her and cares. To top it off, the level of scheduling flexibility their program provides our family has been a real stress-reducer for all.Our daughter looks forward to going to Fusion every single day. Often times she asks to head in a few hours early or stay a few hours later just so she can spend time on campus.

Quay Garriga: Amidst the Covid-19 Global Pandemic, we withdrew our daughter in the middle of her Junior year from her private school and started her at our new homeschool and Wake Tech as a dual enrolled student. Creating curriculum and a schedule that continued our daughter's education was a challenge, especially for Physics. In searching for a proper high school Physics curriculum, we found Fusion online as an option and we are so glad we did! We contacted the school and they responded immediately via email and then followed up with a phone call. We were able to schedule a safe visit and were so impressed with their adherence to the CDC's mitigation strategies including social distancing, mask wearing, and washing hands. Seeing how they handled the safety of the students gave us confidence in their respect for science. We saw Fusion as a sort of a la cart option for our daughter to be able to take just Physics there and the rest of her classes at Wake Tech. We were given 2 options for that single class for our daughter and everything was explained clearly. She has been taking her class virtually and the teaching has been so very personalized and on target. Our daughter is learning and excelling. We get daily updates and summaries of how she is learning and what she is covering. We have appreciated the communication and the responsiveness of her teacher when we had questions about measures of mastery of material. Fusion has been an amazing option for us. The cost is a bargain for the teaching and the accessibility of the staff and administration. We highly recommend it!
L R DuBois: Fusion has been a perfect fit at the perfect time for our family. Their one on one model takes education to a completely different level. The teachers/mentors have formed a very personal connection with our daughter and can tailor every single class/lesson. If there's a particular area of study that our daughter is especially intrigued by or a concept she's struggling with, the pace is completely adaptable to allow time to dive deep or spend more time fleshing out more challenging concepts. They are truly invested in our child's education, understanding, and overall well-being.We feel so lucky to have found Fusion just a few months before COVID struck the nation. Nationwide, so many families have been concerned that their children's education has been negatively impacted by COVID. Thanks to Fusion, we are completely confident that our daughter's education is in the best of hands. She is achieving entirely new levels of knowledge and understanding, whether she is on campus or receiving instruction virtually. Most important of all, she LOVES learning with Fusion! This from a child who didn't enjoy school and was often bored or not engaged.One of our favorite aspects of Fusion is its flexibility. We homeschool and have used Fusion to beautifully complement and augment home learning. Topics of study that are hard to delve into at home; specialized subject areas we don't have expertise in as parents (like illustration or animation or German); concepts that need a more nuanced instructional style...Fusion offers it all. Each "semester", classes and schedules are custom fit to our personal family needs. It's the perfect educational model for our family.
Ashley Quinn: My high school son has been a student at Fusion Academy for one year and my only regret is that WE DIDN'T FIND THEM SOONER! From the initial contact with the head-of-school through the classroom experience, Fusion has been wonderful. Whether your student has a learning difference, is off-the-charts gifted, or is an Olympic athlete with a crazy schedule, Fusion's customization of curriculum and timelines is a welcome departure from the usual approach to education. My advice to parents looking for an alternative to traditional educational offerings is GET TO FUSION NOW!!!!

Safety Driving NC offers both in person and online classes. Due to my son’s hectic school and sport schedule, he decided online. He enjoyed the class and was the perfect fit for him. He then immediately started 1:1 behind the wheel instruction with his fabulous instructor, Abdul. My son enjoyed every aspect of his driving course. I can also say this: Ash Bahour, the owner, made the process streamless, was extremely efficient, and when I had a few questions he responded immediately. 5 Stars driving school!

Everyone who seemed intimidating at first became sparring partners, and were wise and approachable. We even met at the Spence vs Porter showing at a local theatre. They acknowledged my effort and improvement and that was important.Lucas was instrumental in understanding and implementing technique. Remy gives a good workouts and CONCISELY points out the areas of improvement. Wide variety of workout equipment and decent amount of space. They made it a point to be super careful and clean during the climax of COVID-19..

He hadn’t used tutoring since high school, but was able to text and set up reviews with his previous math tutor (Terry is awesome...PhD in math) to help him get ready for his calculus 2 final. I can’t say enough positive things. They’ve really been there for us when we’ve needed them!

Jonathan Elmore: Our tutor, Nadia, did a great job with our son. She was just the right amount of "play" for him, yet managed to keep him on task for the whole hour. Our son was proud to show off some of his best schoolwork to her. We were delighted that BrainTrust was flexible and accomodating.
Sanjay Arora: I had setup an appointment with brian trust tutors for my daughter . The lady who picked up the phone suggested a 45 minute session with the student to undetstand the needs to get a right fit tutor. On the day of appointment no one turned up at our place and after waiting for 30 minutes when I called up .. I was first given as excuse that someone had been trying to call me throughout the day .. next I was told that The session was not required and I can pay for 6 hrs upfront and the agency would pickup from 3-3 choices they have to tutor my kid without confirming who would be the tutor .. On asking that in case the tutor does not work for us or we don't like him would the agency be refunding rest of the money for unused hours .. and the person simply denied and started talking so rudely as if I am asking for free tutions .. I have not seen anyone so rude and that to in such a noble profession of teaching .. The agency just cares about money rather than satisfaction of the student and parents or the results .. please try to keep away ,,

Alyssa Keister: Wake Tech ha sido una maravillosa experiencia universitaria. This effected my education during the semester. I couldn't afford to keep going. I will never return. Sub-par school, would rate 0 stars if I could!

Carlos Lanza Jr: As a college student in Southern Wake Tech, its a decent place to learn and explore, but it could be better if they made it interesting with new things to add in like food areas which was either one or not there when I went there, add more classes to learn more of different subjects and the Bookstore could add better equipment, supplies and merchandises if any students of Wake Tech want to support their school.

Buttercups: You remember when the pandemic started, and everyone had to start learning how to use computers? Now imagine, a bunch of teachers, creating online courses from scratch with no help. ITS A DISASTER. Its like NO ONE set a criteria for how the classes should follow a general structure, so that students aren't spending the first 2 weeks of every new class trying to figure out what is what. Its like no one showed them, "this is the gold standard"... this is what a well put together black board class looks like. The online courses are archaic. (Dr. Frear, I complained about some things and I am sorry. After seeing what else is our there( summer 2022), HOLY MOLY. Your blackboard set up is the least confusing and was by far, the best thing I have seen yet)Instructors use blackboard, not as a classroom but as a file folder system. Instead of using the platform, they made it so that every thing is word documents and or files you have to download when they could have just simply used the actual platform. I should only be downloading PowerPoint slides, worksheets, homework, etc. Not opening a document to read something you could have made a video and "instructed" us or copy and pasted to the platform.Does anyone know the definition of a syllabus there? It should be all encompassing. I shouldn't have to read 5 documents to figure out how I will be graded, what I will be graded on, the rules, the expectations, which books I need to buy. If the department has a syllabus, I'm pretty sure you are supposed to take that document and incorporate it into your own, at the very least create an addendum/appendix.My Grades should clearly have due dates, weighted totals, and all of the grade-able items at the start of the class. There should be no, imagining what my grade is at any given moment.

Henry Royster: Traveled a hour and half arrived at my class a hour early just to find out that they canceled without notification. So disappointing but I lived.
Andrika Crawley: They have multiple bus stops with no signs of where to go for which one. Missed plenty of buses waiting at the wrong stop. I don’t think signs are that expensive.
