Matthew Mahler: During COVID, Denise, the instructor, has worked with our son to continue learning Python coding languages by building games.  Denise has been able to inspire our son to learn and actively participate like I seldom see when it comes to technical information.  After each online session, he is excited to talk about what he did and learned.  I am happy with the direction he is headed in and am amazed at how Denise has been able to bring his motivation out to light.  We are happy he is enrolled at the Coder School."

Kelly: Had an unpleasant experience here. One of the instructors in particular was downright rude and management did not seem to do anything about her attitude. No feedback to parents after lessons and generally disappointing service. Kids did not even want to go back for lessons

John Behringer: My son has been going here for a few months now and he loves it. He started with no knowledge of coding and now he is getting pretty good with python. The coaches are excellent and the 2 on 1 sessions are just perfect.

Flexibility with scheduling and easy to work with. Highly recommend The Coder School in Raleigh. Only complaint is I wish they had a location closer to us.

The camps are a great value and my son said the AI camp was the best, even better than the NC State engineering camp he did the summer before.

Randy Ines: Our son Ethan has been with theCoderSchool for a few seasons now and has learned a great deal! The coaches there are amazing and work 1-on-1 with each student. Coach Michael is excellent and explained what his strengths & weaknesses were- gave a progress report of his work. They have a Coder Fair, where Ethan presented (available presentation tools: microphone, laptop projector, and laser pointer), his "real-life" scenario in developing his coding project. This is a valuable training method for Ethan, as a young adult where his coding and communication skills can be used immediately in the workforce! Putting this training school and course(s) in his work resume will only help as well. I highly recommend theCoderSchool for anyone interested in coding or nurturing a youngster towards a career in the computer field.

Chris Butler: My son has really enjoyed going to the Coder School in Raleigh. He is really good with computers and wanted to learn several languages of computer code. School clubs and other STEM activity classes did not offer what my son was looking for. We thankfully found the Coder School and my son could not be happier. The staff is wonderful and works closely with each student, meeting their individual needs. This is a perfect afterschool activity!

The help I received was Excellent regarding how to register for a class, how to create an account and connect, how to launch the course & the lab. The screenshots and instructions were very helpful. Top it all off, the instructor was excellent and handled a wide range of expertise, and also delivered the content very well. The just in time training for me was very valuable and I will be using the tool right away, and the features that I did not know will improve my productivity and effectiveness in my work and team. CW Price: If they would upgrade to canvas from blackboard it would be much better. You spend as much time sifting through files and downloading things then actually completing assignments.

Nicole Kaghat: This review is for the cosmetology program. My daughter attended the program at the school. The teachers were critical and created a terrible morale in the classroom. Their materials and supplies were old. And when my daughter went to higher ups, she got no help whatsoever. Spend more money at another program, you get what you pay for. Other students we met with had the same complaints. Students are treated like they were in grade school, instead of young adults, paying tuition to attend the program. One of the teachers didn’t even know what a blowout was! Terrible.

Alyssa Keister: Wake Tech has been a wonderful college experience. I recommend their Advertising & Graphic Design program, many of the instructors are very helpful, personable, and you can tell they are passionate about graphic design. However, if you really want to feel connected to your instructors and classmates, I recommend taking in-person classes.Dining options are not limited on Southern Wake campus. The student lounge has a restaurant and Aversboro Coffee is there. There also is usually a food truck in the staff parking lot.The ILC computer center is a great place to learn about Photoshop and other Adobe applications. There is always someone around to help you out.There is plenty of parking, though there's been many times I've had trouble finding a space. I've often had to park in the S lot which isn't right outside any buildings. The Building E parking lot is almost completely full each time I come. I think there could be more spaces for students in the lot. Besides that, almost everything has been optimal here.

Ishu Sharma: At the end of the day, its all about how somebody or something makes you feel Campus overall is good but teachers are like lobby. If one instructor doesnot like you very well, her whole group will cut you out. I didnt have good experience with my last class here. My instructor was biased and I left the class super sad and unmotivated on last day 💔 I will never recommend anyone taking that class with same instructor group again . 👎

Angie Bolden: I was asked to take a long time consuming survey as to why I applied for Wake Tech but never attended. In exchange for a $20 Amazon giftcard. It's been 5 days and no giftcard!! I picked the email option vs the mail oit option. Now WHERE IS MY CARD?!!

Carly Hopkins: Teachers don't care about students at all. Durham Tech is way more understanding and has better teachers as well. The teachers here will fail you right away regardless of your situation. Save the trouble and enroll at Durham Tech #waketechrobots#theydontcare

An Ma: I was approved for financial aid in 2021, Lana Mangum manually removed my eligibility and changed my program. She wouldn't return my phone calls and left me aggressive voicemails. This effected my education during the semester. I couldn't afford to keep going. I will never return. Sub-par school, would rate 0 stars if I could!

Cassandra Ramos: This joke of an institution has been absolutely nothing but headaches from the very beginning of enrolling to trying to get my records to transfer. Extremely rude staff including professors. No one working within the Wake Tech community is genuine or sincere. I was hospitalized with Covid-19 & 3/4 of my professors would not let me make up work missed during hospitalization. Every time I call to speak to a specific Person or department, they sound extremely annoyed they had to answer the phone— I’ve even been hung up on mi sentence. It’s almost as if they make your time here so miserable that you will just drop mid semester so they can keep your money and then scam the next naive student who is looking to further there education. Now that I am trying to transfer there is an entire new set of problems. I want to pay from Wake Tech and NEVER look back.Buyer beware- they make it seem like such a good place to earn an associates degree, certificate etc but once you’re in.. it’s not that easy.

Steven Murphy: Bookstore and library hours aren’t good for people who work a daytime job. You pay tuition for the ability to pay for an online course and receive little to no instruction. This campus seems to have spent the pandemic building round-a-bouts all over the parking lots.
