Sonja Estes: When I first spoke with Greg at Cabinet Cures early last summer, I already had a vision of what I wanted my kitchen to be. My house was built in 1962 and nothing had ever been changed in the kitchen. Greg was great, provided answers to all of my questions, did a site visit to see if my vision was feasible, and then suggested that we could do a hybrid renovation. We decided on refacing a few of the existing cabinets and then ordered custom cabinets for the remainder of the kitchen design. We set a date, cabinets were ordered, we had the floors replaced with hardwood before they started the cabinet installation exactly on the date promised in September. The crew arrived on time each day, worked hard all day long, and then cleaned up before leaving for the day. Jonathan Davis: In Planning a kitchen remodel we explored all options from refacing, pre- made cabinets, to custom cabinets. We received multiple quotes for all of the above. We made a final visit to Cardinal Cabinetworks in Raleigh and met Ethan, got a tour of his shop and never looked back. The quality of cabinets for the price point was incredible. The solid cherry cabinets are beautiful and included some the the best hardware in the industry. The installation (done by Dave) was as well one of the best installs I have seen. Walls are not always exactly vertical, but our new cabinets are perfectly plumb and level. It's also important to note in going with someone local that troubleshooting can be done on the spot and corrections made. If you are doing a remodel visit Ethan at Cardinal Cabinetworks for a consultation and quote, you won't regret it. Ethan and the Cardinal Cabinetworks team can not be beat for quality and price.

Aleksandra Skrajna: Unfortunately my experience with the company is rather poor. Some of the cabinets and drawers were defective and installed anyway. When I requested replacement Cardinal Cabinetworks was not very enthusiastic about doing so. However after my persistence they replaced some defective parts, for the rest I got a 'special marker and a crayon' to paint over the defects. Full professionalism. The inside shelves where all defective and I was told this is how these pieces are manufactured and they can order hundreds of them and they will all look like that. A sobering statement about the quality this company represents. The panel that goes next to the fridge was ordered three times, each time it was missing a paint on the majority of the surface and each time we had to wait a couple of weeks for its delivery. On the top of that there was not enough room for the fridge in the designated space even though the cabinets were designed by Cardinal Cabinetworks. Cardinal cabinetworks hires contractors to do the installation and in a result the installation party refused to place the fridge it in the designated space because they didn't want to take responsibility for the potential damage. A that point my husband and I were so frustrated we pushed the fridge ourselves and I don't think it will ever come out...I am writing this review over a year since the cabinet installation, motivated yet by an another failure. While designing cabinets I asked about the need to fortify the surface on the cabinets underneath the sink as they are going to have contact with water. There is always a chance of water splash. Even if you wipe it right away, which I always do. I was told I shouldn't worry about that because the cabinets are well made. And I can tell you there are not. The paint chipped and now I have to deal with a bare wood, picture attached, in a pretty new kitchen. To sum up, Cardinal Cabinetworks are, unprofessional, poor quality and not trustworthy. Jim Stevens: My wife and I built a architect designed custom home in North Carolina. John Carey and the team at Cardinal Cabinetry were great partners on the project. We had a lot of custom work that needed to be done along with ordering 'standard' cabinetry. The fact that Cardinal is a real cabinet shop and builds custom pieces on site was a great advantage versus working with a 'big box' showroom cabinetry outfit. Sure, the 'box store' will have a lot on display and it is useful to look there, but the places we visited just didn't have the expertise to help with the more complex and custom work we also wanted done. Sitting in the informal less setting at Cardinal with the full attention of the staff while we worked out a plan was essential to the project.When you work with Cardinal, you are not just working with sales people, you are working with experienced craftsmen who build pieces on site. For example, we had a complicated wall (17 ft long and 6 ft high) designed with tile and wood that included space for a fireplace and television along with a bookshelf - it is the centerpiece to the living area and had to be just right. We also built a large custom french country center island in the kitchen. Working with Cardinal, we got exactly what we wanted in our home.We very happy with our experience and recommend Cardinal Cabinetry to anyone building a home!

We recently had a dishwasher leak which required some repair to our cabinets, and Cardinal quickly replaced and refinished the damage and our cabinets are as good as new. Highly recommended!

Sarah Farmay: I gave 1 Star because I cannot judge the quality of their work as the never got time to even get an original design to us. He came out June 5 to look at our project which is 2 bookcases and a possible mantle. We had an idea of what we wanted for the bookcases but wanted an original design for the mantle. He said he would have us the design in 2 weeks and even took with him a hand drawn sketch my husband had made. 3 weeks later we called and reminded him and he sent a unimaginative computer generated copy of the bookcases with no mantle design at all. I emailed multiple times with no response. I called today and he still had no mantle design for us. 6 weeks later. His excuse was that their company was slammed with business and he could not get to it. If he keeps this shoddy service up, he won’t be busy for long. If he could not do it, then he should not even have wasted our time. I am so glad we did not get to the stage of making an order and deposit because we may have had to wait for years to get it.

With a fairly tight deadline, and the added complication of having to wait for replacement pieces to come in, Cardinal Cabinetworks was flexible and worked with me to get what I needed done, when I needed it done. Rusty Angel: At first, the price seemed a little high for a closet system. As we thought about it more, we decided that this was the type of investment that would pay dividends for many years to come. We just did a complete remodel of our master bath, and the linen closet was a custom build out of the space we had available. It's fairly narrow (18" door), but pretty deep (nearly 48"). Shelf Genie was the only option we could find that made the very best use of the space. Standard shelving, or even other pull out shelves, would have left huge "dead space" at the back of each shelf that was simply unreachable. We purchased a 6-drawer system from Shelf Genie because they could design it in such a way that the drawers slide ALL the way out of the closet making access to the back of each drawer accessible. We stand just off to the side of the door, once opened, and pull the drawer all the way out. They came in and custom designed the entire system. We discussed depth, spacing and what we intended to put on each shelf. The entire process was very professional. Brandon Dixon, the installer for this area (and has been for many years) was extremely professional and a true craftsman. His attention to detail and quality of work was outstanding. We are extremely pleased with the quality of the system and use of the space. No doubt, we will enjoy these things for the next 20-25 years.

After that Cornerstone came back to finish the details.Scott and Cory were great to work with. They held to the calendar dates agreed to before the job, which allowed me to get the required work done between the time the old cabinets were removed and new cabinets installed. Maurice Isrel: 5 star positive review. First, it was "turn key." They coordinated everything from beginning to end. Zach and Baris were great, and worked together well. Zach was great about proposing a design, but then working with us to make some modifications. Baris as contractor was amazing, as we had some definite "intricacies," especially with a soffit we have.Second, the price was multiple thousands of dollars lower than the big box stores quoted us, and less than other cabinet dealers who would not contract the whole project. They honored their price even when the cost of the cabinets went up.Third, they worked with us, proposing alternatives solutions, and letting us pick. Our biggest "issue" was we had a soffit from the ceiling down to the previous custom built cabinets. Most other companies wanted to remove the soffit, as the new cabinets would not "fit." Much higher cost. Baris and Zach had a solution of adding a short matching cabinet board from the same cabinet wood, and attaching it on top of the new cabinets up to the soffit. I cannot tell you how well this worked, and you would swear the cabinets were designed that way. We ran into an issue where one cabinet was designed such that we could not open if the adjoining cabinet was open, and they were glad to reverse the hinges. Also, we found the tile we wanted at Best Tile instead of The Tile Shop (who they work with more), and they were glad to work with Best Tile on getting us our choice.So my wife and I highly, highly recommend these guys. Other than going long (see below), we could not be happier with the kitchen, and they were the most reasonably priced to boot. So if you want to stop reading here, great. But if you want to learn a little about the whole experience, read below. These are just some things to understand when you go into this thing. Not bad, but they just are. Summed up, it is "things happen," and be prepared ahead of time. Maybe everyone knows these things, but we didn't.....First, it took longer than expected. Kitchen was demolished and cabinets were in the first week. But then United Granite had their laser measuring device break, so that was an extra week. So it was about a month until sink, granite, and tile were in. But there was a lot of "smaller stuff" left - cabinet hardware, adjustments to cabinet, kickboards. Their main cabinet guy (wish I could remember his name) was SUPERB, but he had a 2 week illness, and that added another 2 weeks. The whole thing wound up being 2 months. As I said, things happen.Second, sometimes things get discovered along the way. For us, it was the plumber suggesting (rightly so) that if we are replacing everything, do we want to replace the copper tubing with PVC. It is an old house. It only makes sense, but that was $300. Painting in general is not included, and we had them paint the kitchen window to match cabinets (white) - another $100. Not much. Just be ready.Third, there is a lot to pick out, and you have to know the order of things. Since the cabinets and sink go in first, you have to have your sink bought, and you have to know the size of your stove, dishwasher, microwave, and fridge before the first week. Since the cabinets go in first week, and they have space for the appliances, it makes sense. The dishwasher and microwave have to be purchased early. In general, stove and fridge can come later. On the granite, we worked with United Granite because of their association with Cabinet and Closet Depot. And they were great (other than the measuring device breaking). But I strongly suggest you 1) pick your slab yourself, 2) have them make a template of which part of the slab goes where, and 3) Adjust the template to get the pieces of granite you really want. United Granite was more than glad to do this, and maybe they would have done this without us asking, but maybe not.Finally, think twice about a spice drawer. Not tall enough for some things, and you can't see the names of the spices. Google "spice drawer" and you will find a lot of people discovered the same thing.Servicio:Remodelaciones
