Michael Glass: I started my visit in the main building. The first thing I noticed was the unusual mix of art from different countries displayed together.While the collection in the main building was nice, there was nothing exceptional.Having spent more than 90 minutes in the first gallery. But decided to take a quick look. I'm so glad I did.In this building, I discovered a large collection of Remington and Roden sculptures, an impressive collection of named American and French artists. The Egyptian and Asian exhibits were impressive. The big surprise was the Jewish collection of silver pieces. There was also a large collection of African/Black American garments, but after spending 4 hours visiting other exhibits, I was too exhausted to continue.While not world class, this museum is worth a visit.

Steevie Parks: I recently discovered this amazing little gallery in downtown Raleigh, right next to CAM and VAE. . There is a new and impressive gallery exhibit for each month in addition to several smaller rooms where the 12 resident Artists show their work. The gallery shows are all juried, and often represent Artists from all over the country. This is important to me because the works reflect a much more diverse range of Artists and styles than are typically seen in the triangle. The owners are warm and friendly and work hard to make the gallery the very best that it can be. Their prices range from quite low to moderately high. There is truly something here for everyone! I highly recommend this gallery to art patrons of all ages and stages of art appreciation.

katnnv: Somewhere between a thrift store and a flea market. The artwork of local artists hardly stands out amongst the collection of junk. It's a shame the artists aren't featured front and center and everything is cheapened and outdated next to the clutter.

Taylor Sferrazza: Excellent space for local food products, drinks, specialty gourmet teas, elderberry products, etc. I love the fact there are quality antiques, jewelry and art. There are over 50 artists based primarily out of North Carolina and a few from Virginia also. If you love unique gifts and want to support the local community especially in times like these please stop by the mall! The folks there are passionate about both the community and supporting local art and it would make such a difference to have you stop by there.

Inner circle: total for the expected experience. The advertisement mentioned light snacks would be provided. They should have changed their advertisement if they weren’t planning to have snacks. There were none provided, owner mentioned due to COVID. One of my coworkers asked what do you normally have, chips and pretzels were mentioned. Also, as most of us in the group had attended paint and sips before, we expected there would be wine as a choice to sip on. We were provided bottle waters, and a couple of soft drinks. After we asked about whether we could bring our own wine, it was mentioned that only a cup would be allowed. The experience was poor as we had limited choice of wine in a plastic clear solo looking cup. Wine was cheap and unlikable to any of our palates,as we attempted to sip, but none of us were able to finish it. Additionally, we hadn’t ever been to a painting experience where the instructor did not paint the picture while instructing the participants. Rather we received poor looking past pictures to look upon, as the instructor encouraged us to glance at them. He used a styrofoam plate to provide instructions to us while he showed us what to do. Let’s not forget the pictures he mentioned that he was taking for us to be received at the end. If he was providing that option, consideration of each phase of the painting process should have been done. Our pics were limited, and we would have much rather took them ourselves. If you see this advertisement online from this location, please consider calling them and ask questions. If you are looking for art for your office or home you are at the right place. My favorite art is the photography of the famous Carolina gentleman Watson Brown.Many of his photographs are framed with a keen eye of frame to subject and many are in plastic and fiberboard for you to spend an hour or so browsing.Another charm of Gallery C is the art with a touch of wit and humor. Dontgettoknow M: I arrived at Gallery C on a special weekend when the owner , Charlene Newsome, was promoting one of her favorite artists with an out door party and cook out! It was so much fun. Charlene personally showed me around and showed real interest in my tastes and needs and budget. I had just stopped in to see why there was a crowd there and left with a beautiful painting that is hanging this day in my living room and is a constant conversation piece. Later , I came upon an article in Walter Magazine that was authored by Charlene. As it turns out, she has art history credentials that got her a reoccurring column!Gallery C is located in an historic home in downtown Raleigh that is a perfect venue for viewing art. Big rooms, tall ceilings and lots of light.
