brandi nunn: The tour was very informative and the link between this homesite and the Joel Lane house is talked about. Our tour guide felt it necessary to make fun of the way and I quote southerner's mispronounce words. We enjoyed seeing the house and grounds but not the tour guide.
Dan Jahn: Free parking and a $10 ticket gets you a 1 hour tour around downtown Raleigh that leaves from Mordecai on Saturdays. We learned some interesting facts. The seats are very hard but with ample leg room.
Farzad Ehtemam: The staff were extremely knowledgeable about the history. We learned a lot. The estate and the artifacts are preserved in really good shapes. It wasn't busy when we arrived and we got a nice and very detailed tour of the entire place. You should definitely think about taking a tour. The garden behind the kitchen was so lovely with many flowers and plants.

Bryan Gibbons: Fantastic museum experience. Free entry can't be beat, such a good value we even left a contribution to the museum at the door and paid to watch the 3D Oceans film. The whale skeletons and underwater tunnel walks were highlights of our trip through. We rode nearby Scooters to make traveling around the city easier.
Dark Seraphim: Great museum for children and the adults responsible for them. The exhibits are gorgeous and the whale skeletons awe inspiring. Definitely recommend.

MJ Worldwide: Outstanding museum that continues to thrive and innovate. Currently under construction which is a testament to their constant growth. Big dinosaur stuff on the way! So informative and interactive. The exhibits truly come to life. The museum is free however certain exhibits are ticketed. Membership is less than $100 for families! You can’t beat that. A beautiful place to learn and grow. I highly recommend and look forward to coming back, I’ve been visiting this museum since I was a kid! I admire the progress and look forward to more knowledge and creativity. Stop by when you can!

Anna Fox: This is a great thing to explore with your family in Raleigh. They have a lot of knowledgeable staff that works here as well. There is a never ending amount of things you can learn about in these museums. It’s very clean and very cool. It is also free entrance so if you have a big family and looking for something cheap/free to do. But decided to take a quick look. I'm so glad I did.In this building, I discovered a large collection of Remington and Roden sculptures, an impressive collection of named American and French artists. The Egyptian and Asian exhibits were impressive. The big surprise was the Jewish collection of silver pieces. There was also a large collection of African/Black American garments, but after spending 4 hours visiting other exhibits, I was too exhausted to continue.While not world class, this museum is worth a visit.
