Chris Foley: Room was a little outdated, but everything was top notch! Service, food & drink, & location. I'm still not used to the post covid no room cleaning daily thing, but all hotels are doing that so I guess that's normal now.
Charlotte Oakley: Certain employees of this location are not.... The best .I phrase it that way, To be nice..The incidental charge the make you pay over the hotel stay, some people only pay 20 others 50.I was is in the $50 category. And employees slipped up and said something about a $20 incidental hold. That's when I said but I paid $50 everyday. The reason I was checking in and out everyday my vehicle broke down. I didn't know when it was going to be fixed so I had to make a reservation each day so every time I checked in and checked out it was another incidental hold. Then I realized I wasn't getting my incidentals back. They printed up paperwork they cannot show me where they were releasing my money. So almost a month worth of incidentals. At $50 a day.... my truck will finally be fixed in the next 2 days. .and as mentioned in another review this is not good by Hilton standards. But well worth the price line discounted rates . Housekeeping is great people!
Alin Bennett: A really great hotel. Two things were annoying. The wifi is not good. 1) I had to use my hotspot most of the time. 2) they rent their pool out to at least two swim schools. I was trying to relax on my vacation, but had to listen to a dozen of young children scream as they were learning to swim. The latter is a deal breaker for me. I won't be back...

christine: Came for a family reunion was not pleased at all. This might as well be a pet/dog hotel dogs were everywhere no set floor for people who don’t enjoy dogs 😔. Not only did I also get stuck in the elevator for 3 mins the woman at the desk told me it was because of the storm I would think they would shut them all down if this was the case but they also allowed others to get stuck as well after it was brought to the attention of staff. During our dinner session not only did they have the iced tea set up 45 mins before dinner so it would be watered down by time we would have arrived. Also the paid bar left 2 hrs before the time slot was up. You guys also need a better system for your breakfast and have the correct dates when you give the vouchers during check in. Please also work on customer service there was only two woman who made this trip worth while the rest need a customer service course. This overall experience was super 8 value with Hilton prices. I wish I could get my money back. Horrible experience
Quanny Grimes: This was a very nice stay ! It’s very convenient to all the shopping areas and food. The only thing I didn’t like I was the elevators kept getting stuck. Other than that I’ll recommend this hotel !
Dark Seraphim: If you come between 2-4 on a Friday expect a small wait for Check-In. However, the staff is very professional and the hotel itself has been updated within the last 5 years and is very clean, modern and comfortable. Obviously, there's no microwave in most rooms but, there's one available on each floor. Solid Hilton that meets expectations.

England: Decidí quedarme aquí por unos días. No me he alojado aquí en años. Este lugar necesita una renovación completa. Aparentemente, el vestíbulo y el área del restaurante solo fueron renovados.Las habitaciones están muy anticuadas. La alfombra y los muebles apestan y me dieron un dolor de cabeza muy fuerte. El piso en el que estaba estaba caliente y aparentemente el aire no funcionaba correctamente. Adam Z: The original version of the hotel before Marriott took over was very dog friendly. No longer the case except tiny dogs for huge fee. Sad to see all the nice things in the world get taken away by race to the bottom corporate monopoly greed. Shameful. Also gross that even though this is no longer the same hotel they are able to retain the positive reviews from years ago for a different hotel. Scam upon scam, that’s America now. Isha Kumar: Exceptional service with a cute boutique feel! At 3 am on the Friday before Memorial Day weekend we had to leave a roach infested airbnb and were desperate for any hotel, and the Casso exceeded our expectations at every turn. It was 3 of us in a double room for 4 nights, and they were so friendly (even at 3 am) and so helpful. I needed a place to take a private meeting 6 hours after we checked in and even at such short notice, though they don't have a business center, they accommodated me and made sure I had everything I needed for my meeting. The room service was great, shower was awesome, and we slept so well. We were so pleasantly surprised at the quality of our stay, considering we had no reservation and it was a long weekend (during which time they also had a wedding at the hotel), and we never felt like we were compromising on anything or that the service was lacking. The restaurant staff was also wonderful and we used the gym one morning and found it clean and well supplied. We loved our stay here!
Tabytha Beebe: Such a cute hotel. Nicest hotel I’ve ever been to and I’m very picky and travel often. Afforadable, especially for govt/military, friendly staff, no weird smells or even feel the need to check the beds for bugs, Super clean and very convenient location. 10/10 recommend and will definitely be making this my go to hotel, when I’m in Raleigh.

We get to front desk and use the same card for incidentals. Swipe, and the screen says approved, but Elijah says it was declined on his screen. We get it swiped again and it says approved, but Elijah says its declined. We call our bank and they say there is nothing wrong with the card. We go to swipe the third time after being on the phone with our bank for 12 minutes and he says "per the hotel policy I cannot swipe the card for a third time." So you mean to tell me I was on the phone for you to tell me you can't swipe the card a third time? You let me waste my time to tell me you weren't going to swipe it anyway?We say okay what do you want us to do to get the key? He says pay $75. Meanwhile I pull up my transactions via online banking. I was charged not once, but twice. I show him and he says "nope, it was declined I trust my system."And then as I'm conceding to swipe another card he says, "let me help you out, sir I'm going to ask you to leave the hotel. I'm now refusing services. You need to leave or I'm going to call the police."WOW.I say "okay sir, I need a refund for my incidentals.""Nope, I can't do that because it was declined."And then I ask for a receipt and he says "no."Shout out to The State View who put us in a lakeside view room and swiped the same card we were using at Casso. AND comped breakfast because of our bad experience as Casso.
Tayllar Gardner: We stayed this past weekend for one evening while we were in town to see the Korn Ferry Tour at Raleigh Country Club. Our room was stylish and clean! The beds are pretty uncomfortable though. We received incredible service from Craig who honored our wishes for a room on a high floor on the front side. We had read past reviews about the train tracks on the other side of the hotel - we never heard it once on the front side. You do have a good bit of noise from nightlife but that is expected downtown on a Saturday night! The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to a ton of amazing restaurants too. We will certainly stay here again next time we are in Raleigh!Habitaciones: Super stylish! Also very clean. We enjoyed the smart TV too. Linda Perrella: We thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at The Guest House. Our room was incredibly comfortable, from the platform bed and linen sheets, to the rain attachment in the shower, to all of the other little thoughtful touches throughout the house and kitchen. It was too hot at the time or we’d have definitely spent time in the sweet backyard area. If you stay here, be sure to visit Benchwarmers Bagels, just a 3-minute walk away in the Transfer Food Hall (there were plenty of other yummy food places there that weren’t open at the time!). If we’re ever in the area again, we’ll be staying at The Guest House! Thanks for everything:)

Shayna Murphy: Can’t say enough good things about our stay here. We did a short staycation from Durham for our anniversary. The room was immaculate, almost wanted to cancel our plans to stay in. We were within a few blocks of our favorite restaurant and it was so easy to walk over and enjoy the great food in downtown. Amenities were great and although we didn’t need much, with how communicative the team was I’m sure we would have been well taken care of if anything came up. We will absolutely be back!

Ron Ruffner: What a wonderful place to stay in Raleigh. The only problem...we only stayed one night. We will definitely stay again. The house is well-appointed and comfortable. We loved the place!!! Of note, if you buy the little ghosts (we bought 2), which are awesome, pack them in your checked luggage. Airport security didn't like them, LOL. Great place, look no further for a place to stay in Raleigh.
Richard Lamb: Helpful, generous and knowledgeable staff. Great location for walking to the visitor center, downtown library, art gallery and many restaurants. Great fireworks show for New Years. Less than two minute walk to a food court with live weekend music at the Transfer Company. I even took an art lesson from artist Barb Cherry at Art Space, an art gallery five minutes from The Guest House.
Zakary Hartford: My wife and I stayed here for the weekend and absolutely loved it. The space is beautiful. It is evident that a lot of care and thought went into the design, appliances, and furniture in the beautiful space. The bed was really comfy and the whole place was spotless. They provide yogurt, fruit, and granola for breakfast and there are drinks and snacks available for purchase. The location is perfect and there are a ton of great coffee shops, restaurants, and attractions within walking distance. We will definitely be staying here next time we come to Raleigh, we loved it!

Susan Caron: Do not stay here. Room smell like mold. Liquor bottles in the stairwells. Pot smell in the hall. Way overpriced. The elevator doesn't work and they have a stairwell closed down. Breakfast. What breakfast!!! They had coffee, tea and packaged mini muffins, nothing else. Do yourself a favor. Book a different hotel.

Sharon Long: BEWARE HIDDEN FEES!!The guy behind the counter was a COMPLETE JERK after we had been on the road for 9 hours with 2 dogs. We had booked a room for 1 night and according to the reservation, we were gonna pay $10 extra per dog per. The young man at the counter refused to honor our quoted price and even told us an extra $25 per dog. "If you have a problem with that, talk to the manager." We asked for the manager, and the kid hands us a business card with 2 USELESS numbers. We ended up having to sleep in our vehicle!!! That's the WORST hotel I've EVER had to deal with!!!!

Crockett: June 2023 - NO ELEVATOR ON PROPERTY WORKING-NO BREAKFASTThis was a cheap room, under $100. Wyndham has purchased Super 8, so there does seem to be some standards now. The hall and the room did temporarily have a dull stench of old smoke, but after 10 minutes of running the room air, that was gone and forgotten. The room was freshly painted, the linens were new, and the bathroom was recently tiled. We were pleasantly surprised how nice the room was.Check in was easy. He told me first thing the elevator was out. Replied that is a problem, we must have first floor, my wife has a problem knee and stairs are a no go. He gave us 114 right behind the lobby. It was never an issue, no noise, no traffic on a Thursday night. We slept well and felt we definitely got our money's worth. The neighborhood is commercial inner city. No rougher than any other. There were tiny mini muffins in a basket in what used to be a full-size breakfast room. There was coffee but it was awful. We did get our $40 deposit back on our card a few days later.Room surprisingly nice, no breakfast, neighborhood is not sketchy. A fair value for under $100.

Destanie DeJesus: Quédate bajo tu propio riesgo. Mi única ventaja fue que la habitación tenía un bonito suelo. La cama era incómoda y hacía ruidos chirriantes con cada pequeño movimiento. La habitación olía a rancio ya moho. Había cucarachas en la habitación que no había notado hasta que encendiste la luz por la noche. El ascensor está roto, así que tienes que subir las escaleras afuera, cada escalera huele muy mal a orina asquerosa. Mucha gente sospechosa se queda allí y pasa el rato en la escalera. Los pasillos tienen un olor extraño y alfombra sucia manchada. No terminamos durmiendo porque la puerta de la escalera se cierra de golpe muy fuerte y la gente entra y sale ruidosamente a todas horas de la noche. Definitivamente obtienes lo que pagas por ir aquí. Me convence de que las buenas críticas aquí son amigos o familiares que las hacen porque no había nada de 5 estrellas al respecto.

Poor customer service. We’ve never experienced anything like this.We would like to hear from the corporate office, but we probably won’t since this review page will be closed in a matter of DAYS. Kevin Russell: It's a Hilton brand, so you pretty much know what to expect. We had friendly service, a pretty large room, free parking. Location was very convenient! Very happy with our stay!

Stephanie Reynolds: Really nice hotel, reason why I typically choose a Hilton when I have to stay somewhere. Place was very clean and all the staff were friendly. I was a little sad we could only stay the one night. We even got some cookies after we checked in, which is a nice touch.The breakfast was good for $10/person, a much better deal than trying to find a place to eat in Raleigh. I have to give a shout out to the lovely lady at the breakfast buffet this morning, she had a unique name and I can't remember it. One of the guests was in a wheelchair and came down for breakfast. She set up a little table, and made his plate and some coffee, that was soo sweet of her to go out of her way to do that I thought. I felt bad since most people don't tip after paying for breakfast, but she definitely deserves it!Great place to stay for a good deal, you won't be disappointed!
